Starbucks in Rotterdam Centrum

I think this is a great place to get a quick snack or a drink I tried their matcha for me it was the greatest matcha I’ve ever tasted and I put a one star on the food because I didn’t eat food, after drinking the matcha I felt very happy

Fantastic staff! We were running late for our train with our kids and didn’t have time to wait for our order. One of the staff members actually ran after us and delivered our order on the platform. Thank you so much, we really appreciate it!

Very unfriendly staff. They also mixed up the order and made the wrong drink. When I asked to have it remade, they pulled a face.

Very unwelcoming staff that is rude to take orders. The lady who took our order was not happy at all that we requested the credit card receipt, and while we request no whipped cream to be added on the hot chocolate, they added it… such a bad service compared to Starbucks standard.

It used to be nice, but recently it has become unfriendly, bordering on getting angry if you don't answer their question properly. Steam was practically coming out of the ears of the man behind the counter. I got coffee, but with zero service, it was more the case than looks could kill... I'll go back to the old-fashioned one at the Central Station lobby or the one in the city. Such a shame!!

I didn't get any hospitality vibes from the staffs at all. No smiles, no greetings, just frown face at the cashier and the barista who made my drink. I work in the hospitality industry, where warm smiles and greetings are crucial to making customers feel comfortable, but unfortunately, at the Starbucks in Rotterdam Centraal spoor 12, that hasn't been a top priority.

I got a drink for the road because I was traveling. I did this two days in a row. And on both occasions, the order went wrong. I have now had an allergic reaction twice. Even though you explicitly indicate that you want a substitute type of milk. I will just skip this Starbucks in the future.

The food here is like any other Starbucks, the service and atmosphere are mediocre and not that great.

Venue is confortable but not up to Starbucks standards. Quality in general, including coffee is really mediocre but it is being like that on every shop of the chain nowadays. Staff not able to smile. They should cut prices by 90% in order to balance product and price

If something isn't understood properly, you can simply ask – there is no need to be an irritated attitude. Colleagues didn't take this behavior seriously either. I frequent Starbucks, but this branch really stands out negatively.

Hello, I normally always order coffee from you and I enjoy coming here. This time I wanted to try a sweeter coffee, for example with banana or a special flavor, but unfortunately I received a regular coffee. That was not what I had ordered. Additionally, I did not receive any sugar, which reinforced my feeling that little attention was paid to my order. Honestly, the treatment did not feel very friendly or honest, and that bothered me. I hope that in the future more attention will be paid to the way customers are treated, because this experience may cause me to consider not coming back. Thank you for your understanding.

I went to get a coffee using a loyalty points system. I did not know though that this particular store was a franchise, and not a branch, so they can not accepts these points. I had already activated it, and so lost the points (as it has to be used in a particular amount of time). I was not angry at the baristas or manager, but I was a bit disappointed. In came Laura. Let’s just say, she sorted me out and I didn’t even ask for anything. What a freaking star. I don’t live here, but if I did, I would return every time just for her. Thanks Laura.

Very disappointing experience at Starbucks Rotterdam Centraal. The red-haired barista was rude, dismissive, and refused to provide her name when asked. She argued about my order (a latte with heavy cream) until another employee confirmed it was available, then made the drink incorrectly. Completely unprofessional behavior..not what I expect from Starbucks. Management should seriously address this.

Ordered a drink which didn’t taste to the drink ordered. Upon asking for a replacement drink the barista refused to admit her error. I’ll skip this one from here on, what arrogance for such a pricy place

It's strange that the opening hours are until 10 PM, but if you want to buy cake or a treat at 9:40 PM, you're not allowed to because they've already put transparent film on it and think it's too much trouble. Strange staff.

Last week, there was a disruption at the Dutch Railways (NS), which left me stuck at the station for over an hour. I went to work at your cafe and bought a coffee. Then you gave me a discount ticket for another drink. When I came back today, it turned out that the ticket was not only three months out of date, but your colleague gaslighted me by saying you never gave it to me. So, I said it's fine, but I'm only here because of the discount you literally gave me last week. And that woman just laughed at me. A truly unparalleled level of disrespect.

The most awful young girl who called herself a manager. I've never been treated worse than this. And this for a manager. Disgraceful!

I had a truly appalling experience at this Starbucks. I wanted to grab a quick drink before my train last night, but what I encountered was absolutely outrageous. A customer was treated rudely by an employee named Zoë, and instead of responding professionally, she, another girl, and another woman who I believe was the manager, stood there laughing and scrolling on their phones. Extremely unprofessional and disrespectful. I ordered a Mango Dragonfruit Refresher—I always order one—but this time, I didn't even get any fruit with it. It's supposed to have fruit in it; I've worked at Starbucks myself, so I know exactly how it's supposed to be. A traveling couple who ordered two drinks were also ignored. The employee made no effort to properly serve their drinks or even audibly call out for them, even though it wasn't busy at all. Then the manager suddenly yelled loudly, startling them, and you could just see them laughing at them afterward. Truly ridiculous and disrespectful behavior from the staff. I hope this is taken seriously, because this kind of staff ruins your entire brand. Not recommended.

I just got a matcha venti today and told her they need 5 pumps of vanilla ice cream and that I'd like it without ice. I paid almost €8 for it, and then she first gave me a matcha with ice cream. I then told her I asked for no ice, and then she gave me a half-full cup without any vanilla ice cream. She tried to explain that I paid €8 for a half-full cup and that it's normal. I asked if I could get a refund, and she said no and gave me a full stamp card for a free drink. Yeah, ridiculous. I hope she gets fired.

My visit to this Starbucks location was extremely disappointing. The service was poor and the staff was rude from the moment I arrived. I received my drink with improper packaging, and there was no warning that it was unavailable. When I pointed this out, there was no apology. This was an unprofessional experience, and I will not be returning.

I ordered few times coffee and it was not great

I find the service very bad. I came there twice in a row, but there was no matcha frappe . The staff said the blender was broken. I told them to drink regular, hot matcha with milk. According to the staff, they didn't have any. And he told me to go to another store. I solved the problem and said I wanted caramel macchiato. After I ordered, I saw that another customer got hot matcha with milk. I don't know if there was a miscommunication or if he just didn't want to listen.

The chairs are great. Thats it. The portions are poor inasmuch as the service. Stop pretending you have standard sizes when you deliberately serve less! Photos to prove my point.

I understand where some of the reviews are coming from, although I personally don't think they're necessarily rude. They were a bit dry and didn't mask maybe, but not unkind. They treated me ok and made my drink exactly how I wanted, and I like my Starbucks order personalized ALWAYS. Not every interaction with a service industry worker needs to be a highly acted scene from a romantic comedy. People want drinks, they make the people their drinks. That's my opinion.

The sweet girl who made our drinks fast and with love did such an amazing job! Her manager did ruin our experience, she yelled at the girl in front of an area filled with customers. It’s unprofessional to yell at your team as a manager and demotivating for your employees to! I hope the girl does get treated better in the future she makes great drinks and was very fast and sweet 💞

The staff works incredibly hard and is kind in every manner. The manager, however, is a complete opposite story. When your team isn't performing how you'd like, one should come forward and help them. You motivate them to do things you find important. Every job has a learning curve, and as a manager, you have to show a little patience. Instead, this hell of a manager decided to yell at her staff (which was doing a great job, by the way) with plenty of customers present in the store. It almost makes you reconsider if you want to spend your money at such a store. Regardless of her experience within the chain, you don't treat people this way. Poor management, appalling to the customers. The staff, however, work great and deliver the drinks effectively and fast. What a shame.

Rude appalling customer service by a female Indian/South Asian barista who refused to give her name and looked like she hated her job and hated serving customers. I was treated begrudgingly and snapped at for no reason. When I raised my concern with her attitude she return with a rude: What’s your problem? I was simply startled and shocked with this level of customer service from Starbucks which I never experienced before and I visited so many Starbucks branded at more than 50++ countries! The drink made was bad and done hastily even the restaurant was empty and she was not serving anyone.

Should be open at 6. It's 6.15 still closed. People are inside but not opening the doors. I have never understood this shop, they literally open when they want.

I had a great experience at Starbucks today! I ordered a latte with oat milk, but I realized my girlfriend doesn’t like oat milk after the fact. I went back to the counter to place a new order with regular milk, and the barista was so kind—she offered to remake the drink without charging me for a new one. It was a thoughtful gesture, and now my girlfriend is happy with her drink! Excellent customer service, and I really appreciate the friendly staff. Thank you, Starbucks! 😊

It was nice and warm inside, but what a disgusting coffee.

Almost a year later and still the same story. Staff talking all the time. I came in, the lady looks at me and continues her conversation. I say: can I be helped? Madam: oh yes! I then give my order, and I have to wait another 2 minutes before she takes my order because she still has to talk to a colleague who has finished work. And that colleague also does not say: hey, help the customer first, but continues to talk calmly. I work night shifts and only have a short period of time to get to the train. You work at a station so this unprofessional behavior is really unprecedented. I find it strange that you don't do anything about this despite the many bad reviews. Time: between 8:45 PM - 8:50 PM

Says it closes 21:30, but apparently staff here make their own hours. 17:00 and they refused entry, and made those with drinks leave the premises.

Very unfriendly staff. They were supposed to be open until 21.30 but kicked everyone out at 17.00 without any explanation! I'm not sure if management is aware of how they treat customers at this franchise.

Bad experience, unfriendly service My last visit to Starbucks was a complete disappointment. I ordered a large (L) hot chocolate with whipped cream, but got a small (S) without whipped cream. In addition, I gave my name, but my order was called up under a completely different name. Because of this, I didn't know that my order was ready and I kept waiting, thinking that it was still being worked on. Finally, the barista called for another hot chocolate, and when I indicated that this could not be my order (because the size and whipped cream were wrong), he responded in a smart-alecky and unfriendly manner. He then refused to add whipped cream, despite my having clearly ordered it. Never coming back.

This morning at 6am we were at the door for a cup of coffee, they would open at 6am, it said online and on the window. There were 2 ladies in the Starbucks, 1 of whom leisurely put the chairs on the floor and the other was messing around behind the bar. When we tapped on the window at 6:05 am the girl behind the bar looked at us angrily, tapped her watch and shouted that she was opening in a few minutes when she should have been open for 5 minutes. Because we had to catch our train, we left and got a delicious cup of coffee at Julia's. When we left there, the Starbucks was still closed... Bad service, too bad.

Ordered a java chip frappuccino in the morning. The employee who took my order spoke like an NPC and felt very robotic. The person after me heard the same text in the same monotone voice. A smile was also hard to find. Must say that it was fast and efficient (even though there were only a few people inside). The smile the employee gave when I grabbed my coffee gave me hope that (despite the service) the taste would be good. The truth couldn't be further away... The coffee was TERRIBLE. Tasted like water with a little bit of coffee. Give me bubble tea from now on...

I asked for a latte with coconut milk and a vegan muffin, they tried to give me two times different sweets instead of the muffin, finally the muffins were not available anymore and they didn't give me the money back. I paid 8.10 euros for a latte (and the gf ghost muffin), not good business. If you want to find something vegan and a little common sense don't come to this shop, they can scam you and steal your money too.

Hello I was also at Starbucks today behind Lucas that he just made a bad comment about the store the girl on the till was very helpful and tried to give him a full stamp card but he didn’t want to be helped and I also I saw him an hour ago taking another’s person umbrella so please don’t say about stealing and fraud be nice to the person that tries to help you and if you don’t want just stay home next time

Can't say I agree AT ALL with the bad reviews regarding bad service or unfriendly staff. Well, I just treat people with respect and kindness and get that in return. Went to the SB quickly today (30-8 20:45) and Esam is really a sweetheart! Super friendly and helpful. Evi from the drinks was also fast and friendly. And if you think it's overrated or overpriced you should just get your drinks elsewhere. SB has NEVER been cheap in any country. Also a tip: just treat service staff how you want to be treated and then you will see that you will get 100% back!

Small place to drink a quick coffee

I ask for "cream" they keep offering me "creamer". I speak English, they lecture me about what does & doesn't exist "here". I explain what "creamer" is, they tell me "this is the closest equivalent" - yes, I am sure that's true, but I asked for cream, sahne, grädde, you know, slagroom without the "slagen". Starbucks needs to do better than some punk kid who pulls snide faces & sneers explanations to questions I didn't ask.

For the second time this week I visited a Starbucks shop. And for the second time I got hot water instead of a coffee. Starbucks is scamming people! It’s leveraging the name of the brand and the locations they’re able to rent for the shops but the quality they once had is gone (at least in the Netherlands). Come back to the previous taste and quality or leave the market alone for other more client-respectful brands to take over. Never again 🤢

As you expect at Starbucks you get good coffee

Rotterdam Centraal (the store outside near Etos) Male employee very unfriendly and sold me 2 cakes that were no longer fresh. When I got home and started eating, I immediately became seriously ill after the first bite, with a lot of sore throat for up to 4 days afterwards. Everything thrown away, a shame. Never again!! And the branch doesn't have a number to call, I live far away so visiting is no longer possible.

The milk is foamed way too hot and the cappuccino is undrinkable for the first 15-20 minutes. The employees were in a good mood, at least something.

I come here several times a week and have had almost no bad experiences! Most of the staff are always friendly and it has only gone wrong once with an order. I do notice that when it is quieter in the evening, orders suddenly don't seem to be in a hurry, which is annoying when you have to catch your train.

Friendly service but one of the weakest, tasteless coffees I ever had. Tasted like a single shot with 0.5 liter of hot water. Because there was no decent place to sit I left so could not even return the watered down thing.

One of the lesser Starbucks locations. Especially for a branch at the station, it leaves much to be desired. Not all staff are fast enough. Which is really desirable at the station. They are very attentive and friendly. The coffee still tastes good, but it really doesn't look like what I'm used to from other locations and how the marketing presents it. The price is also no longer suitable. Today I walked to the station at 8 o'clock and it was still closed. So vague. It was also closed a few weeks ago due to circumstances.

I don’t understand that if you work at a coffee shop in central station, that you don’t feel a sense of urgency in delivering your clients their coffee. I expect most people will be in a hurry so then don’t make small talk with everyone.

Unfortunately, not customer friendly place. Twice, the staff was asked by clients to help with phone charging. The plugs that are available under the seats don't work, and ppl were denied access to a working plug. Especially since this place is at the train station, consider helping the customers with this. People have train tickets and wallets on the phones. If for some reason you don't like charging ppls phones inside the bar, then fixing the plugs under the seats is the way to go. Then your work doesn't have to be interrupted with requests/complaints and customers are able to have the entire Starbucks experience.

Lethargic but i guess the location makes money. If other places are open try them, there is even a coffee machine on the otherside and down a bit thats quicker and costs less.

The good old days are gone. Recently I went to Starbucks for my Frappuccino and I received the sad news. The new legislation stipulates that both hot and cold drinks must be in a paper cup without a lid. There goes the whole aesthetic and the idea that the eye wants something too. The experience of the delicious frappuccino and the beautiful cup in which you can see the frappuccino with whipped cream and drizzle is over. I will never have coffee in the spring again, even though I have been in love since the first time I tasted one in Florida America. This was long before Starbucks existed in the Netherlands. I think it's downright ridiculous. The presentation is no longer equal to the price. You now have to hold the drink extra firmly, otherwise it will slip out of the cup. I'll see you again in October for my pumpkin spice latte. Too bad this Starbucks is very unfortunate. I think you will regret this as many people will no longer spend their money on your overpriced drinks that are now so poorly presented. Just take a good look at these beautiful pictures people because this is over. The last photo is the weak infusion of a frappuccino my friend and I got.

Disappointed that this was not a real Starbucks - spotted it when looking for Starbucks Wi-Fi - seemed odd it wasn’t there and then trying to use my Starbucks app to pay - but not available “because we’re a different company “. Also disappointed in the cappuccino- very watery as the foam wasn’t the right weight. Not a great visit.
