I went with a colleague to get some coffee at around 1 PM on 18 September 2025 (Thursday). There were at least three baristas behind the counter and only two people ahead of us, yet we had to wait nearly 10 minutes to be served. When we finally ordered, we were informed that there was no more tiramisu latte or cold brew, so I just ordered an iced Americano. After getting my order, I went over to the self-service station to add some syrup to it, as that's usually where customers can get sugar, syrup and serviettes. Upon seeing that there was no syrup there, I went back to the counter to ask for it. This was the conversation that ensued between me and one of the female baristas working at the time: Me: "Can I get some syrup added to my drink please?" SLCBarista: "Then you have to pay." Me: "Okay, I will pay." SLCBarista: "No, pay for another drink." Me: "But...why? You can't just add some syrup to this drink?" SLCBarista: "NO BUT THEN WE LOSE MONEY." Appalling service all around.

Coffee is the best thing, everything else is a piece of cake. It's obvious that they've stopped trying. The food selection is questionable and too international. There are too few seats considering the location in the city center. The wait for service is too long. The employees don't smile enough, they need to offer content and not just packaging, which has been sinking in the average of globalization in recent years.

I also ordered an iced coffee and it was even worse than I read in the comments, namely a cup filled with coffee, cold milk and many large ice cubes. Nothing sweet in it, no whipped cream, nothing. Just coffee with ice cubes. WORTHLESS! I am now so curious about a response from Starbucks!!! What a lot of money for such a SCAM!

The price rise recently was a disappointing change. Everytime i visit in the morning, the staff is really friendly, cheeful and helpful. But in the afternoons whenever I visit the staff is on the phone and I feel like I am bothering them when I order. I would recommend having the staff have the same approach to the customers as the experience in the afternoons has become sour.

If possible, 0 stars were the worst branch in Rotterdam and the surrounding area. I ordered 3 iced coffees at 7:40 PM, I understand, you are almost closing, but this is really ridiculous for such an organization. What I got is ice cream with coffee at the bottom and whipped cream on top, no strawberry, macha still caramel breeding shit place, better go to Honslersdijk, where people work who can work in a coffee shop. ALL RECIPES ARE STANDARD PROCEDURE. BUT APPARENTLY MAKING COFFEE IS A DIFFICULT ASSIGNMENT HERE. Good luck

Rude appalling customer service by a female Indian/South Asian barista who refused to give her name and looked like she hated her job and hated serving customers. I was treated begrudgingly and snapped at for no reason. When I raised my concern with her attitude she return with a rude: What’s your problem? I was simply startled and shocked with this level of customer service from Starbucks which I never experienced before and I visited so many Starbucks branded at more than 50++ countries! The drink made was bad and done hastily even the restaurant was empty and she was not serving anyone. Avoid at all costs.

You arrive at 8:15 PM while closing time is 10:00 PM. The lady comes behind the counter with a very irritated look and tone and tells you that you can no longer order everything because they are already closing. Because of her attitude I thought she closed at 8:30 PM or so, only later when I left I found out at 10:00 PM :ss. I get it catering is tiring, but if you don't feel like working, go home or call in sick, customers don't have to suffer from your grumpy face. I got sick from drinking at Starbucks. I clearly said I wanted an oat latte but apparently it was a normal one after all. Because within half an hour I was hanging above a train toilet. And no, that's not fun, I can tell you. I don't order an oat latte for nothing. If you are lactose intolerant, you really cannot tolerate normal milk. I don't easily leave a bad review. But the day I came in here, there was 1 boy there helping people as well as making orders and paying all at the same time. Although he really did his best to do everything on his own, the service and drinks were disappointing. We asked for 2 iced caramel lattes and got 2 normal lattes without caramel. The sandwiches were completely stuck to the bag in the bag. Because there was no container around it. So half of it couldn't be eaten because it stuck together. I recommend that they employ some more staff so that the team has more peace. Really a shame :( It's really great that the boy tried so hard!

Apparently you cannot order a 'normal' hot chocolate but you have to choose between all kinds of vaguely hip names. The chocolate milk was not warm but boiling hot with a very sad puddle of whipped cream. The cappucino was just gross and we were given disposable cups even though we were just sitting at a table (saved washing up) and they smelled like chemical dyes. Because of the loud beach music we ended up standing outside and fortunately close to a trash can so we came up with the great idea to throw away the 'drinks'.

Good stop to grab something on the way. Loved the Gingerbread latte, a delightful holiday treat that perfectly captures the festive spirit. The only bad things where that it was a bit messy in the restaurant area, my name is written wrong and the recycle marketing policy of Starbucks in general (so not specially this shop) is a bit weird. If they really want to stop waste, their plastic cups should be cheaper. Or at least some sort of plastic cup should be available for max. 3 euro's. Doesn't feel like Starbucks mean it.

Bizar personeel aan het begin van de avond op 26-09. 2 jongere gasten die de drankjes maakte en ondertussen uitgebreid met wat vrienden stonden te kletsen aan de balie waar drankjes gehaald werden. Waren druk in gesprek en aan het klagen dat het zo druk was, terwijl ze gratis drankjes voor hun vrienden maakte en klanten op een asociale manier riepen om hun drankje op te halen. Volgende keer loop ik hier voorbij als dit personeel werkt.

Was hier vandaag om 13.15 voor medium cappucino (4,85) en croissant. Op counter en service tafel bordjes waarop: bij elk handgemaakt drankje croissant voor €1,50. Als ik een warme chocolademelk bestel is het niet echt beleefd om de duurde signature versie te geven in plaats van de classic chocolademelk(de signature was €1,50 duurder) Heel raar dat je dit moet aangeven en dat er niet vanuit wordt gegaan dat als je een choclademelk wilt je de normale wilt, of dat er gevraagd wordt welke chocolademelk je wilt. I bought in the morning a tomato-mozarella sandwich but they would not let me have it without heating it for some strange rules. As for me, I was buying it for my lunch, so heating it already would have ruined it for later. Since I had already paid with visa card, they gave me back my money in cash. They could at least tell people about such a rule beforehand. Also, the mango-dragonfruit tea was not as exciting as what you would think. Take a spoon to eat the small dragonfruit bits.

J’ai voulu commandé un café filtre, on me répond qu’il n’y en a plus. Je commande une gaufre au chocolat, même réponse. Je me rabats sur un shortbread en vitrine, plus de shortbread non plus. Ceux en vitrine ne servent qu’à l’exposition. Bref, peu de produits disponibles à 17h. Je n’aimais déjà pas cette chaine; cette dernière expérience renforce mon avis.

This morning I got a steak tartare sandwich for the second time. For €5.25 (!), you'd expect a tasty, well-filled sandwich. Unfortunately, the steak tartare was already a very meager, thin layer, and the white baguette wasn't fresh but tough. I go here almost daily, but I won't be getting a sandwich again. It's a shame, as there are few alternatives in the area.

Great Starbucks. Located at Rotterdam/The Hague Airport. You really need a plane ticket to get in. The staff is incredibly friendly and fast. The coffee and food are simply excellent, Starbucks-level, and the prices are too. Since it's an airport, it can get very busy at times and then become incredibly quiet the next moment. The tables can sometimes be a bit messy and dirty, but when it's quieter, they're quickly cleaned up. We always come back here when we fly from Rotterdam Airport. Highly recommended.

I went to get a coffee using a loyalty points system. I did not know though that this particular store was a franchise, and not a branch, so they can not accepts these points. I had already activated it, and so lost the points (as it has to be used in a particular amount of time). I was not angry at the baristas or manager, but I was a bit disappointed. In came Laura. Let’s just say, she sorted me out and I didn’t even ask for anything. What a freaking star. I don’t live here, but if I did, I would return every time just for her. Thanks Laura.
