It is a narrow restaurant. The staff was very nice upon entering. The prices are a bit on the expensive side for what you get. I didn't think the service was good when you come in you are helped right away, but then it took an hour before we got our food, people came in after us. Large groups and couples and they all got their food before us. After we indicated where our food was, it was indicated that it was almost ready but it would take another fifteen minutes. They probably forgot about us and helped all those other people first. Was it worth waiting an hour at all and I thought the prices of the drinks and starter were a bit on the high side and you also pay separately for the sauce. It's not wrong. It doesn't fill your belly. The salad was dry, no sauce at all nothing was a bit bland. I wouldn't go here and find another place where you get more quality and fill your belly for the same or less money.

Restaurant to avoid. The food is terrible, the ribs were burnt, the rice was terrible, the garlic bread was just an overcooked piece of baguette and garlic butter in a plastic pot. They had forgotten one of the 5 dishes, so my husband got his fries and pepper sauce and had to wait 15 minutes before receiving his meat. As a result, the fries and the sauce were cold. We paid €170 for 5 dishes and 5 drinks (including 4 soft drinks). When entering, take a look at the cleanliness of the radiator which is right up to the entrance. , as well as the bar and the kitchen…. I think you will come out very quickly. I so regret not having read the comments before going in...

Thieves, crooks... Wait until the end! The worst experience of my life, whether in my country or abroad, we were showing friends around Amsterdam... then came this meal, on 01/01/25. Directly a great welcome, helpful and very demanding so that we order quickly, we cannot find what he offers on the front in the menus (obviously very attractive menus) Meat is served with poor decoration such as salads, fries for a fee, fake cokes, sauces for fries at €2.50. Bottle of water at €5.50 in short… The meat was still not bad, a 6/10 Then comes the time of payment, there are 4 of us at the table, everyone pays their share, it's known everywhere but not this time, the waiter takes out his payment terminal, the first to pay is my friend who hands him €20 in cash, he leaves and comes back 5 minutes later and starts to do the counting, forgetting this ticket, he tries to make us go around in circles telling us to pay only with 2 bank cards without deducting the 20€ already given, we had to pay him put shame and say out loud in front of all the customers what they were doing to us so that they remember the €20, that we each pay our share and leave this coin machine, not to mention the different service between the premises and the tourists because their meats were served on small grills to take to the table and not us, then to conclude there is of course a dirty one for the tourists and one for the locals, never seen before in Europe and even elsewhere!

Restaurant to avoid, we are going for the basic express formula no worries once the drinks arrive (a coke at 6th so it doesn't even arrive in a bottle or can but directly served in a glass and cut with water) the formula is no longer available but they sell poorly cooked meats that are twice as expensive as the price of the formula and of course add an extra €4 for filthy frozen fries. In addition to the lousy service we had to do the work of the servers for payment.

Restaurant to avoid, very long service (1h30 to get dishes), not pleasant waiters. The food is not good, a salad with 2 leaves of lettuce and 4 pieces of cucumbers costs 6€, a shame. There is no large bottle of water, the small one of 33cl costs 4€, I advise you to drink water from the toilets which is better and free.

Il n'y a pas de grande bouteille d'eau, la petite de 33cl vaut 4€, je vous conseille de boire l'eau des chiottes qui est meilleure et gratuite.

Terrible service and terrible food. We waited 1 hour for our dishes which were at the cooking level of a 7 year old child. My €15 burger only had bread and a steak. Strictly nothing else in it. Run away They sell you quality products but it's a complete lie.

A disappointing experience at this restaurant. The cuisine has no flavor or originality, just worthy of a canteen. The service, for its part, is extremely slow (not surprising with stoned waiters): each dish seems to take forever to arrive, despite a half-empty room. 1h30 wait for a portion of frozen fries, you might as well go to McDonald's... No hard feelings.

A spontaneous decision and we were not disappointed. The grilled mixed plate was really tasty. The meat was super tender and grilled perfectly. The BBG sauce went well with it, but wasn't necessary as the meat itself was well seasoned. There were also fries and frit sauce. The service was friendly and kept an overview even with the constantly changing audience. The decor matched the theme. Inconspicuous, but a clear recommendation.

Vous commandez des Ribs et du riz, vous avez un steak et des frites, vous demandez un steack de 200 g et on vous amène un steak de 300 g.....Au moment de payer on vous affirme que vous avez commandé cela et que votre niveau d'anglais est mauvais (alors que nous parcourons l'Europe pour le travail depuis 10 ans). L’addition ne correspond à rien mais elle est plus importante que votre plafond autorisé par votre entreprise que pourtant vous aviez respecté lors de la commande. Le serveur vous dit que vous auriez du vous manifester pour dire que rien ne correspondait et que c'est de votre faute en vous apportant des ribs pour vous montrer à quoi cela ressemble (avec un ton condescendant et un énervement palpable lorsqu'il vous parle en anglais approximatif). Au final, vous regrettez de n'avoir pas lu les commentaires des Clients qui vous ont précédé...

Goed gegeten, niet geweldig, niet slecht. De ossenhaas was prima medium rare bereid en goed van smaak. De plaat was wat te slap en het waren geen Franse friet zoals aangegeven op de kaart. De bediening was goed. Prijs voor Amsterdam meer dan redelijk.

Misleading advertising with prices at the entrance. The Ribeye was mediocre and overpriced, same with the ribs. We asked for red wine and they only offered us the house wine, which tasted like hell. The treatment is also quite mediocre, I do not recommend it

Lamentable !!! notamment au niveau de l'encadrement. Le responsable de ce petit restaurant qui pourrait être si agréable est insupportable, antipathique, pas commerçant du tout, exécrable avec son personnel ..... nous avons assisté au jet d'assiettes en cuisine. Il surveille tout d'un oeil vicieux, toujours derrière ses employés, il est indécent avec son personnel qui ne le mérite pas. Son attitude fait monter la tension en salle et les clients mangent stressés, et ressortent choqués ! Inconcevable. Quant aux plats, l'assiette arrive avec un bout de viande posé dedans, certes de bonne qualité, mais sans l'accompagnement. Il a fallu réclamer les frites et la pomme de terre au four qui ont été servis à part .... A FUIR SANS HESITATION. Rien de positif ici.

My whole family and I got the mixed meat special and it came out on a charcoal grill and was cooked perfectly. Great value for the meals and was perfect to help us keep going after a long day in Amsterdam. Would highly recommend!

We chose it specifically because we saw on a sign outside a promotion for a hamburger and fries for 10.90 euros. Our surprise when we entered the restaurant and the price was different! We asked the waiter and he told us that the only hamburger they had for 14 euros was the one on the menu called the Argentine. I went up to the sign they had outside and told him that I wanted the one called grilled, not the one on the menu. Finally they served me and charged me what I said, but because I was attentive and knew the price I had to pay. In simple words: false advertising. I do not recommend it under any circumstances. The burger was good, nothing outstanding, everything average.

Hi, unfortunately read the review too late... we waited about 30 minutes for a "if at all 4 Euroburgers" and half-cooked fries. There were 3 other couples waiting for their food... In total there were maybe 8 couples there. Staff seems really overwhelmed. The offer included 200g of Brugerbeef. Maybe 200g in total, the meat was no more than on a McDonald's hamburger. It cost 15 euros (burger menu). There was dust everywhere (counters, bottles). The refrigerator leaked (use a rag). There is still construction dust on the wall paneling (when sitting at eye level)...probably never been wiped. We were really annoyed...better look for something else or the company would have to do a 180 degree turn.

Matige bediening, heel lang wachten, verkeerde hoofdschotel, nog wat wachten op de juiste schotel en dan het bijgerecht ook even het verkeerde.... Steak was OK, rest was ver ondermaats. De huiswijn zag rood meer valt er niet van te zeggen. De kwaliteit van een restaurant herken je aan z'n huiswijn....

Salad was small and the wrong one was delivered. Burger without sauce, fries unseasoned. Relatively too expensive. 2 of us had food poisoning the next day.

These people are scammers. STAY AWAY! Here is what happened when I went there: I saw the advertisement on the window with good prices. It says it's 12.95 for a burger with fries and a salad. So we went inside. Once inside, we noticed that the menu had completely different prices. I asked the waiter what the reason for this was, and he told me "Oh, the prices outside are just for a small portion." Uhmmm, okay, weird... But whatever, fine. I will just take the regular portion then. Then, because we had ordered in English, he started talking about me to the boss in Dutch, thinking that I'm a tourist and I don't speak Dutch, but I'm actually Dutch. Awkward. Fast forward to when we receive our meal. We get a burger and fries with no sauce. Sauce costs €1 extra. There is no salad served with the meal. After finishing the meal, we ask the server why there is no salad, and he says, and I quote: "No, the salad is INSIDE the burger!", which is hilarious because there was just 1 piece of cucumber and a piece of lettuce in the burger. On the sign outside it clearly says that it is served with a salad on the side, as shown in the picture too. So basically we paid €16 per person for a mediocre burger and some fries without any sauce. They use false advertising to lure you in, and then make pathetic excuses as to why the meal is not what you expected. After reading other reviews here, I realize that I am actually one of the lucky ones, just getting scammed by the false advertising. Other reviews are saying that they will serve you things you didn't order and charge you for it. They are also immigrants in my country and although I myself chose to not cause a scene about it and just pay the bill and leave, I'm sure that if you cause a problem, they will intimidate you and force you to pay whatever they charge on the bill. All in all, this place is the typical tourist trap. Do not go here, they don't deserve the customers they get. Pathetic experience. I hope they get shut down one day soon.

Steak was quite good. The side dishes were cheaply made. Garlic bread was just normal baguette, the sour cream was just sour cream. The barbecue sauce tasted sweet and sour with mulled wine spices. The chili sauce was rancid and tasted like it had expired. I have no idea whether there were any onions in the onion rings. The drinks tasted like water with syrup. Our complaint was only answered with “ok” and then she was called into the kitchen like a stubborn child :D

Dopo di noi arriva altra gente e prende anche quegli ordini a memoria. Morale? I loro piatti arrivano e i nostri no, infatti, ci deve chiedere di nuovo cosa avevamo preso. Ok, sul menu non era specificato che la salsa delle costine è piccante! L'ho mangiata perché buona indubbiamente ma davvero piccantina! Si sono scordati le salse w ho dovuto richiederle... mentre la fettina del mio fidanzato era più spessa di quanto ci si aspettasse. Nulla di che, devo essere sincera. Siamo rimasti insoddisfatti.

The service was amazingly long, we took a burger that was 10,95€ but the waiter gave us a burger with options (written on the menu inside but not outside). The same waiter was particularly aggressive when we asked about that and told him to let that out of the bill. Had some other issues with the 1 hour wait to get everything and one plate forgotten. Everything went even worst when we asked them to do some commercial gesture but the same guy simply threatened us on us going nowhere before pay the full. Like there could be some "risks" to try ... Unbelievable service, hard to describe without living it... AVOID IT

TO BE AVOIDED!!!!! Very rude waiter, unprepared staff. We waited for a whole hour to get our 3 burgers and a chicken. They forgot the chicken and proceeded to admit they had forgotten it. We made a joke saying we shouldn’t pay for it then. When we asked for the bill we saw they included supplements to our burgers that weren’t on the board outside. When questioned about it, the waiter, who’s clearly unstable and has an anger problem, kept repeating the amount of our bill saying that’s what we were going to pay. We said this was unreasonable and that we weren’t informed of it. At some point he actually said to my face we could go outside to solve the situation. We decided we weren’t leaving like that so we sat down to talk and think about what we should do. They ended up calling security and management, who came and talked to him who finally agreed to remove the supplements (6€!!!!) out of the check. Only good thing was that one of the waiters seemed more reasonable and, as the security and manager, were willing to hear us out and make a commercial gesture (but only logical at this point). Don’t go there. Not worth it

Not had a T bone since the CJD outbreak and they got banned in the UK. Had one here though. Brilliantly tasty and we were supplied with a little tabletop bbq so if we needed extra cooking it was a conversation piece too as well as cooking to out liking. Quiet when we went at about 16.00 but right in the heart of Amsterdam and cracking value too. €32 for a T bone as a guide but well worth it

Pretty bad experience here, the server appeared disgruntled after seating me and returned 10 seconds later to take my order. Not having seen the menu even to order a drink let alone food. When finally ordered, the food took about 45mins to arrive after ordering. 30mins into waiting, the group next to me asked if their food was going to be ready anytime soon its been nearly 1hr...I should have seen this as a red flag as restaurant wasn't full. The server got literally everything on my order wrong (1 plate and 1 drink) and with such a long wait I didn't even challenge it as it was well close to dinner being over anywhere else at this time. Food was tolerable but experience horrible. I wouldn't recommend.

Had the 11.95 steak special. Didn't have high hopes. But the steak was AMAZING! Done to a perfect medium rare. And perfect portion size with a lot of fries and wonderful salad. Everything hot and served quickly even though it's Saturday night and they are mega busy. A great dinner!!! Great service! Very enjoyable
