We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch at "Steakhouse La Maria": it was cozy, the service was excellent, the food was delicious, and the beer was fantastic! Our steak was cooked to our preferred "medium." While we were waiting for our food, the waiter brought us a freshly baked bun with a pat of herb and garlic butter. What a treat! We highly recommend this restaurant.

An Argentinian restaurant right in the heart of the Red Light District with reasonable prices for Amsterdam. The grilled meat we ordered was perfectly cooked and came with fries and salad. The service and friendliness of the waiters were exceptional. Thanks to Borja and Lucas for their excellent recommendations; it was a pleasure chatting with them.

Fair price for the portion size. If you don't want to spend too much, I recommend this place.

⭐ 1 Star – THIS PLACE IS A COMPLETE DISASTER What they sell here as "food" is an absolute disgrace. The salad had the consistency of paper, was as dry as cardboard, and just as tasteless. The so-called "fries" were nothing more than soggy microwave potatoes – whoever serves that has completely lost control of their kitchen. The service was abysmal: rude, disrespectful, and utterly unprofessional. I was even insulted in Spanish, as if this were some backstreet dive with no manners. And to top it all off, the remaining 50 cents were given back in 1-cent coins – petty, provocative, and simply embarrassing. This isn't a café, it's a bad joke with a price list. Don't waste your time or money here. Once and never again. He got the 50 cents back as a tip. 😌

Fire the cook. He's an agent of Aldi (the German supermarket): He buys frozen food there and throws it at people like it's going out of style. Horrible. 😡 UNBELIEVABLE!!!

During our stay in Amsterdam a week ago, we wandered the streets looking for a restaurant. And we stumbled upon this one by chance. It just goes to show that sometimes things happen for a reason. I was a little hesitant at first, but what a meal! We ordered a mixed grill and my children had burgers, and wow, it was absolutely fantastic. The meat was excellent, the service impeccable, and the atmosphere child-friendly... we loved it. We speak basic English, and the waiter understood, so he started speaking to us in French (basic English too, but he made an effort), before finally switching to Spanish 😅. We highly recommend it, and on our next trip, it will be the first restaurant we try.

Starting my Eurotrip after a delayed flight and three hours wandering around Amsterdam. When I realized how many Argentine restaurants there are, I ended up at La María. With the confidence and reassurance from Lucas (Argentines understand each other) and Borja that the grill was worth it, I sat down. Thanks, guys — a great, comfortable place. Food was 10/10, and the service was amazing too.

I love finding my fellow Latinos in these countries, and I realize that customer service from Latinos is incomparable; they are very polite and attentive at all times. However, there is another guy of Egyptian nationality who is very rude and unfriendly!

Authentic Argentinian experience in the heart of Amsterdam! I had an amazing dinner at La Maria. The meat was absolutely delicious — you can really tell it’s authentic Argentinian quality, perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The owners are from Argentina, and you can feel that genuine touch in both the food and the atmosphere. The service was excellent as well. Borja took great care of me, was very friendly, and even offered a complimentary appetizer, which was a lovely surprise. Considering it’s right in the center of Amsterdam, the prices are very reasonable for the quality you get. Highly recommended for anyone who loves great steak and warm, authentic hospitality! 🇦🇷🥩🍷

We went here for our bachelor party. Eight people, steaks weren't cooked the way we asked, even after repeated requests, burgers were boring, and a platter for two was double the price, even though it was advertised as being for two people. The tables were dirty, with shoe prints. All in all, a bad experience.

A burger costs €15, but the cheese is already charged an extra €1 and arrives dry. Suddenly, the bill is €22, which must mean that a 0.4-liter drink costs €7, which isn't noted. They also bring extra items with the comment "for free," but they still charge for them.

Absolute worst kind of food we had here. In the name of chicken burger, steak was provided sandwiched between two buns. The steak and buns were burnt too. Tasteless french fries and overpriced at the sametime. On top of this they really had the audacity to over charge and falsely charge for the burger. Avoid eating here at all costs.

One of the worst restauraurants I ever ate in, the kitchen slow and inneficient, the crew lazy and rude. They served raw sardines and bad quality meet. I strongly don’t recommend eating here

We waited a long time for the food and had to ask about it several times. When the food finally arrived, after the first bites we pointed out that it really wasn’t good. We were then approached by an owner and a doorman, both with a hostile attitude. We felt threatened to pay the full price and were then escorted out.

Everyone ordered medium rare on the steak. Some got it cooked through and burnt on the outside while others got it completely raw…. We told them we got it wrong, and they gave us the same food we sent back 5 minutes later. Disappointing experience. Not recommended!

The best steak I had in Amsterdam. The only regret I had was not ordering 500g, but only 400g! If you really wanna try the best Entrecote steak in Amsterdam, this is your place, and don’t forget to take mashroom sauce❤️❤️

Omg the service was amazing! The waiter was really friendly and smiley and the food was cooked to perfection! The steaks were mouth watering and the sauces were so tasty, the proces also were so very very reasonable, me and my mate had a full steak dinner with sauces and soda and a drink each and it came to less than €60! That's a bargain! For everything what a wonderful experience x
