Extremely nice service. Delicious food.

Had a delicious meal at Stoof tonight. My boyfriend and I have been together for 4 years today and had a wonderful evening. I was surprised with rose petals on the table. They explained the concept and how carefully the ingredients and recipes were considered. The staff and owner are very friendly and great service. Our compliments and thank you for this beautiful evening and the delicious food.

We ordered and picked up food. Friendliness and the attractive decoration of the restaurant translated into a tasty meal (even if it was taken away). In our case we had a tasting of stews. Was well packaged so it was still nice and warm while eating. In short, definitely worth a repeat for us.

Excellent food and friendly staff. Not too expensive. Reservations are recommended.

Gem in Sneek! The employees have a passion for their profession and they really radiate that. Lots to say about the menu. Price quality was good. It was also great that there were many vegetarian options, also interesting for the regular meat eater who wants something different. Highly recommended!

Very tasty food and friendly service.

We enjoyed our dinner at Stoof. We opted for the Tasting and it is a very different and fun experience this way. One stew was better than the other, but that's the risk. Neither of us were fans of the desserts we chose. That was a shame, but it can happen. The service is extremely friendly and helpful! It is a cozy restaurant.

A nice concept. They have more stews here than are on the menu. We opted for the tasting where you indicate your preference for the flavors: meat, fish and/or vegetables. We like everything so we went for 2 meat, 1 fish and 1 vegetable. They also serve rice, new potatoes, homemade fries, vegetable mix and coleslaw. It was really tasty and you get more than enough. Recommended!

We had a delicious meal here with 9 people. An attractive atmosphere and super friendly and hospitable service. Personal attention and very patient. You will be served various small stews with dishes from different countries on the table. This gives you a wonderfully varied offering.

Had a Stew tasting here tonight. Because of 12 1/2 years of existence, I also received a glass of bubbles👍. Choose from vegetarian, meat or fish and then 4 pots for 2 people. What delicious dishes prepared with great care! Supplemented with rice, salad, potatoes and home-made fries. Service and atmosphere perfect and chef and especially waitress very knowledgeable and pleasant in explanation and interaction. In short, go “Taste”. 😃👍

Stoof combineert stoofgerechten uit alle delen van de wereld. De variatie is groot, waarbij je vooraf kunt aangeven waar je niet van houdt, of het glutenvrij moet zijn of vegetarisch. Daarop stemt men jouw gerechten af. Een aanrader is de Proeverij, waarbij je vier stoofpotjes krijgt uit verschillende werelddelen (wij hadden Nederlands, Afrikaans, Indonesisch en Russisch). Heerlijk. Prettige sfeer. Bediening is voortreffelijk en men neemt alle tijd om de gerechten toe te lichten. Prima prijs/kwaliteit verhouding.

We had a really nice evening with staff who really worked together. And created a nice atmosphere. Moreover, the food was really tasty. All in all a big 10!!

We would have eaten there with 4 people and, based on a recommendation, we took the sample platter with 5 stews and six side dishes. Everything was sufficient and very tasty. You can specify how many meat, fish or vegetarian stews there should be. Since the restaurant was just celebrating its 12 1/2 year anniversary, there was champagne on the house. There was also bread with tapenade and butter beforehand. We would definitely come back again.

We started on the terrace with a drink, and then went inside for dinner. The four of us chose to do the tasting, and it was incredibly delicious! The employees are exceptionally friendly and helpful. Everything is possible in terms of taste, preferences (meat/fish/vegetarian) and allergens. Definitely eat here when you are in Sneek!

Heerlijke plek voor een ongedwongen, aangename en qua prijs/kwaliteit uitstekende ervaring. De verzorging was hartelijk en professioneel, de wijnen en gerechten meer dan uitstekend, de porties ruim en gevarieerd en de rekening aangenaam (wij zijn Amsterdam gewend). Hier komen we zeker nog eens terug.

Very cozy and wonderfully surprising stews

An exceptional selection of pot dishes from all over the world. In addition to the a la carte dishes, the surprise version with 4 stews (for 2 people) is a real recommendation for explorers. You just indicate whether you like meat, fish or vegetarian or all of them. For us it was Moroccan, Cuban, Mexican and Chinese with matching side dishes. The whole thing is available in a pretty living room atmosphere and with friendly service. Highly recommended!

What a very nice restaurant. The food is delicious. We took the stew tasting, 4 delicious stews from different countries, 2 with meat and 2 vegetarian. You also get jars with vegetables, raw vegetables, rice, couscous and fries. Then a dessert, where the choice was again very difficult. Of course it also tasted delicious. Hier gisteren erg lekker gegeten. Gekozen voor de proeverij. Vond zelf de vegan pompoencurry het lekkerste, maar ook echt genoten van de overige gerechten.

Vanavond bij jullie afgehaald Dikke chapeau naar de kok ! Wat hebben we heerlijk gegeten mijn dochtertje en ik . Ze bleef zeggen jam jam. Zeker een aanrader in tijden niet meer zo lekker gegeten. Bedankt hiervoor ook de vrouw die ons onthaalde super netjes en lief. Nogmaals bedankt voor de vriendelijkheid en het lekkere eten. I don't come there often, but when we are in Sneek I like to come there. Food is always good and the service is always friendly.

We dined outside and had really wonderful experience. We shared a cheese fondue which was really good, especially with the superb fries. The staff was on point, very friendly and made this a wonderful experience :)

It was a celebration! This is the third time I've been to the Stoof. Today for the first time with the family. We were greeted and served in a friendly and warm manner, just like before. The Stoofproeverij is for everyone who dares to try something unknown. We have always been pleasantly surprised. We learned about dishes from all over the world that we would probably never have eaten otherwise! Just great. We would be happy to come back as soon as we are nearby. Great!!!

We had a great evening at Stoof. A large group opted for the stew tasting. Very cozy and above all VERY DELICIOUS. Received a very nice explanation from the very friendly service about all types of stews. The pots were well filled and there was more than enough food. They have many vegan and also lactose-free options. Definitely save a spot for the cream pots for dessert, you won't regret it!

The rating is as follows: Food ⭐⭐ | 5/5 Anyone who loves cuisine must have been here. We had a plate with ten different small pots, everything from meat stews to vegetable stews. There was also a kind of apple compote that tasted sweet and was red in color. The fish was also very tasty and the tartar sauce went perfectly with it. The Chardonnay was also very suitable, a panacotta in three flavors rounded everything off. Service ⭐⭐ | 5/5 The staff was very friendly and some spoke German, the waiting times were very reasonable. We took the test stew so that we could taste 4 different dishes and it was all very disappointing. We felt a bit cheated, the cheapest ingredients are randomly selected to put many different dishes on the menu. Olives had no taste, sauces were not properly thickened and curdled and the creations were tasteless. There is clearly someone in the kitchen who doesn't know what cooking is.
