Prime location in a beautiful spot

Delicious lunch and very friendly service

Before we went to the Vis à Vis show at Almeerderstrand, we had a drink and something to eat here. The service was very friendly, and the food—for a reasonable price—was just really fine. Especially on a beautiful sunny day, when you can sit on the terrace, this is a nice location. When we were there, the weather wasn't very appealing, and the area around the place looks a bit like a construction site at the moment. But if you look past that, it's actually quite nice here!

Bad food, bad service, drinks taste bad. I don't know what my experience is with Bart Tender and Madewerken.

We ordered a Sex on the Beach mocktail, but it doesn't resemble it at all. It only contains peach juice with 2 cherries, no cranberry (didn't mention that it was out of stock). Not worth 9.50 euros! Mojito way too sweet... fries not quite crispy either and still soft. I understand it's busy, but we pay with cash, not paper. Absolutely not worth it!!

I ordered a fresh mint tea, but it arrived with insects in it. The staff told me all of their fresh mint had gone bad, so I ordered a glass of white wine instead. About 30 minutes later, while I was sitting at the restaurant, I suddenly became very sick and had to run to the restroom to vomit. I couldn’t finish my wine, and the friend who drank the rest also felt nauseous later that evening. I even had to stop on my way home to vomit again. I can’t say what caused it, but this was one of the worst restaurant experiences I’ve ever had. Very disappointing.

The coffee was fine and the location is great. We spent 17 euros for 2 slices of apple pie with whipped cream and 1 scoop of ice cream. The apple pie itself was 4.50. Whipped cream is 50 cents and 1 scoop of ice cream is 3.50 euros. Think carefully before you order this.

17 euros for 2 apple pies excluding the coffee (8 euros), 25 euros total!! After a walk, I ordered 2 apple pies with a small scoop of vanilla ice cream. Serving them warm was not possible. And then charging such a price for an apple pie that was less tasty than the one from Albert Heijn. I felt a bit ripped off!!!

Very happy that it is being taken over. Tried time after time and always very disappointed. The food is downright bad and the service is almost just as bad. Nice location, but that is all there is to say.

We had a lovely time sitting on the terrace on Saturday. As a person, I have a connection with water, and the view from the terrace is therefore delightful to me, as there is water almost as far as the eye can see. In my opinion, they still have reasonable prices on the menu for good quality dishes. And the toilets are truly impeccably clean. That also gives a good feeling, knowing that the kitchen is kept just as clean. I therefore enjoy coming here for a light bite and a drink.

Don't know anymore about the food because their kitchen closes before 8:30 on Sundays

Fast service and always a smile from the staff

The restaurant is situated in a beautiful location, on the beach by a jetty, and the service is prompt and friendly. The food itself, however, was just adequate. The spareribs were on the lean side, and the carpaccio salad consisted of soggy roast beef and too many tomatoes.

+ Perfect location + Tables were clean - Very inattentive staff; it took them 19 minutes to realize I was sitting there. And I saw this happen at multiple tables; service basically only came when guests called them, which is of course always too late. - Staff were not unpleasant but not particularly friendly either + Drink arrived relatively quickly - Because you don't get any more attention as a customer after that, I didn't feel compelled to order more; a missed opportunity since I came for lunch. This despite the fact that it wasn't busy at all and there was plenty of staff walking around.

It's a good place for friends and family

Yesterday my friends and I came here to relax, have a few drinks, and simply enjoy the atmosphere. It's a lovely place, especially in the summer by the water—exactly what we were looking for. Overall, I'd give the café a good rating, but one of the waitresses deserves only 1 star. First, she made a mistake with our food order. I even pointed to the exact platter we wanted, but we were brought a different one. Thankfully, another waitress noticed the mistake and replaced it right away. The second issue happened with our drinks. Everything was fine except for one order. My friend ordered a Cabernet Sauvignon because she doesn't drink white wine at all. While taking our order, the waitress turned away for a couple of seconds, so she may have only heard "Sauvignon" instead of "Cabernet Sauvignon." When the drinks arrived, my friend was served a white Sauvignon instead. We politely explained that we couldn't have ordered white wine because she never drinks it. Instead of listening, the waitress started arguing with us and insisted that we had definitely ordered the white wine. I explained that she had turned away for a moment while taking the order and might simply have misheard us, but she denied it and basically accused us of lying. This is not an acceptable way to treat customers. First, after taking an order, a waitress should repeat it back to the guests to make sure everything is correct. Second, arguing with customers is simply unprofessional. Even if she genuinely believed she was right, a good waitress would apologize for the misunderstanding and replace the drink instead of arguing and insisting that we were wrong. The cafe itself is wonderful, and the atmosphere is great, but this level of customer service really spoiled an otherwise enjoyable visit

It is unpleasant to sit there because of the wait staff... They ask you what you want to drink every five minutes, even when there is already a full glass on the table.

WARNING: DO NOT ORDER COCKTAILS HERE! I love a good Mojito cocktail and I saw it on the menu for 10.75 Euros with the ingredients. However, when I received it, it tasted totally different from what I was used to. Almost no mint flavor and far too sweet, also almost no alcohol taste. When I mentioned it, they said: We use a premix to which we add sparkling water. Sorry, but this is how we do it. When my girlfriend went to the restroom, she heard the waitress say to her colleagues: Those people don't know that in a good cocktail, you don't taste the alcohol. My questions to you: 1) What is your definition of a good cocktail? 2) Have you never tasted the premix yourselves? Because then you would also immediately notice that it differs greatly from the original, right? I feel a bit ripped off; paying full price for a cocktail, and then getting a premix.......

I didn't think the hamburger was great; it's different from when I was there in February as well. Back then, the food was great. Now it's much worse.

The beer wasn't nice and cold, which you would expect on a summer day. A very nice place to sit for a bit after a day of shopping. It's a shame that part of the terrace closed a few hours before closing time. But luckily, there was still a spot available.

My boyfriend came home from a hard day's work, took a shower, and went for a quick drive. He wanted to have a drink here and waited for at least half an hour; the staff walked around but he wasn't asked anything 🤔🤔🤔

What a breath of fresh air, a restaurant in a beautiful location in the center of Almere by the water. With an outdoor terrace on a small beach. I had a delicious meal there and, not entirely unimportant, good service. Definitely recommended!!

What a lovely place this is. A great menu in summer and winter, and as the icing on the cake, in the summer you can also sit outside on the beach.

It was so so cold! November is not a month for this building. The summer is nice here. But the building is too cold and windy inside. The staff was not friendly; 'Yes everybody feels cold. Ask my colleague to do something about it'. The food was cold, the menu very simple. I don't reccommend to eat there in cold times of the year.

Had a delicious lunch at this cozy spot. The food is a bit pricey, but that's to be expected for such a great location!

Ate here for the first time. The atmosphere was fantastic, and the service was incredibly friendly. However, a hamburger with fries for 22.95 is simply ridiculous. In hindsight, I regretted not going for the McDonald's and getting a Big Mac menu.

We had a delicious meal here last night. We had the carpaccio as a starter and the spare ribs and homemade satay for the main course. Everything was delicious. The staff was very friendly and helpful with any questions. We will definitely be back.

I really enjoyed staying at Strand22 for its great ambience. Ending a sunny day here is really worth it. However, the food is quite expensive and there is not much to choose from. Better to come here for a drink than for dinner.

Delicious food with nice music!

I had dinner here with my colleagues. Unfortunately, my meat was raw. When I mentioned this to the waitress, she argued with me and explained that the meat wasn't raw, but that it should be (chicken satay 🤨). We (my colleagues and I) all saw that it was raw. It's a real shame, because I usually find Strand 22 a pleasant place to eat out.

We sat there for a while with a drink and some snacks in an old-fashioned lounge chair. Wonderful.

There was two miscommunications during the ordering process, which were promptly resolved. There was a changing table in the disabled restroom. Everything was fine.

Cozy place, nice location and you were helped quickly

A nice location, but a shame that service is extremely terrible. Our order was missed not once, but 3 times (2 times by 2 different vrouwelijke medewerker, and once by the last medewerker) - that too on a low season month and time (4 to 6 in evening). Thanks to the young guy who finally came to take our order, else we would have been sitting there for long time. Will not visit again.

Nice place. I just noticed that some of the staff were a bit rude. The food wasn't exceptional, but it was tasty! Maybe it was a bad day, but the service wasn't great.

We had a lovely time sitting on the terrace. You can also sit at the table with swings. The service was quick and friendly. The toilet could be better. Conveniently, there are also showers here so you can rinse off after a day at the beach.

It's a very nice place both in itself and for the view of the lake.

Really a super nice tent, directly on the city beach of the Weerwater. In addition, there are jetties where you can moor your boat or sloop... Strand 22 has a nice lunch/dinner menu and drinks menu. Enough choice to eat/drink and nice cold beers on tap. Very friendly staff and a very smooth service.

Lovely spot on the water. Nonsense good food

We enjoyed pleasant service and beautiful surroundings. It was very hot that day, but there was a lovely breeze by the water. There was a bit of shade because of the trees. I had a delicious pulled chicken sandwich and a few drinks. Toilets are easily accessible and clean. Bicycles, public transport and parking are nearby. I will definitely come back.

We ordered an iced coffee as a drink with something to eat. The iced coffee was actually warm milk. When we said something about it they said yes that is not supposed to happen, but nothing is done about it. It is a shame that they acknowledge that it is not good and do not offer the right thing and still make you pay for it.

Location is beautiful. Food is fine. Atmosphere is good. Staff is not always friendly. The large crowds at the Floriade probably play a role. But the initiative to set up this location deserves praise and respect. Hopefully the success will continue after the Floriade.

Staff tricked me, telling me there was drinks to go. I ordered a delicious coke and I received a plastic cup.

On King's Day we wanted to cool down with a drink, we ordered 1 white wine, diet coke and Fristie for our granddaughter. We had to pay immediately. After half an hour we still hadn't seen a drink, so I asked where our order was. They just can't handle the crowds, very disorganized. Our drinks came quickly after this, but we were told that the Fristie had run out, so we waited 35 minutes and still didn't get everything, we only ordered an apple juice for our granddaughter. The wine was warm and not tasty. We will never come here again, what an amateurish bunch.

Yesterday, during KINGS DAY, we sat down with 6 adults and 4 children. Which was very strange, we had to pay immediately, even before the drinks arrived. After 35 minutes we still hadn't gotten our drinks. When one of us started asking why we had to wait so long, she was also rebuffed, she was told, "don't complain, it's busy, so everyone waits a little longer". If we didn't have to pay up front we would certainly have left already, but we had already paid €55. It is a shame that a catering establishment is mismanaged at a good point due to incorrect management. Remember, if you want to drink or eat something here and it is busy, you will have to wait a very long time for your order. Not recommended We will definitely NEVER come back here again.

We were there recently. I ordered a latte with oat milk, but it was served with regular milk. I pointed it out and the barista checked. Then she said it was oat milk, but I'm sure it was cow's milk. I couldn't drink it. We asked for the bill and left. We said it at checkout, and they took the money too. I am not satisfied at all. A terrible thing.

STRAND22 is located directly on the Weerwater and provides a fantastic view of the water and beach. Nicely and cleanly decorated. Service and kitchen are good. Recommended for lunch, drinks or dinner.

Beautiful place in Almere with a great view. The food is tasty and the service good. Much better than my experience just after the opening. Really good option for a nice meal.

Nice location and excellent service, the food really needs improvement. Sweet spareribs were supplied with sauces that did not match the taste (aioli and BBQ). And the burger lacked a lot of flavor and the bun was cold and untoasted. In the very beginning of this restaurant, the cuisine was much better. Hope they can bring this back. For now I'm only going there for a drink

Nice restaurant right on the water. We only had something to drink and would be given good advice when choosing beers.
