What a horrible place this is: - Not allowed to sit outside while the terrace is 80% empty - Owner unreasonable and totally inflexible. Plus, makes you feel very stupid - Limited choice on the menu and MEGA overpriced - Frozen meat at a premium price - You can smell the poop odor of dog shit on the terrace I went there recently with my family for dinner. It was 5:45 PM and we hadn't reserved. The whole place was empty except for 3 tables. At least 10 tables were free on the terrace, but sitting outside wasn't allowed. I could jump up and down all I wanted, but the man was so rigid that it almost seemed like he enjoyed the fact we were turned down. "The tables outside are for the people who were smart enough to reserve." So, I'm stupid, thanks a lot. Then came the menu. Brasserie? This looks like a Michelin-starred restaurant in terms of prices! 24 euros for a burger and 27 euros for spareribs. And only 4 meat dishes, so there is no cheaper alternative available (very commercially smart of them). I ordered the burger and wanted it medium. According to the waitress, this wasn't possible because they come from the freezer and, according to the supplier, are only allowed to be served well-done! Sorry!?!?! From the freezer? This was the last straw. I had to pay 130 euros for bad service and meat from the freezer for almost 30 euros. So that is why I took the time to warn others about this ridiculously bad place. After 30 minutes, the man actually came to tell us that we could sit outside after all. The terrace remained quite empty anyway, which was strange of course because he made us sit inside due to the "busyness". I had already pointed this out half an hour earlier, but the owner naturally doesn't listen. It earned him a 130 euro 1-star review. Never going to this place again.

Very strange. We simply wanted something to drink, but that was refused with the explanation that everything was fully booked. Yet there were still about 30 seats outside on the terrace and just as many inside. Checked again half an hour later; still just as many seats available...

Great spot, very tasty spare ribs, and quick, friendly service. We will definitely be coming here more often from the harbor! Small update: the first thing we did upon entering the harbor was reserve a spot. And even with this warm weather, it was just super again. It is ridiculous that this and the beach are being sacrificed for even more housing. There is so much other space in that polder.

If you are coming with more than 5 people, you have to call to make a reservation (this was not clearly stated on the website): then we were seated outside on the terrace as punishment (or so it felt) (it wasn't warm). Service took a very long time (we had to wait a very long time for the menu). The food (lunch) was very good, though.

What a terrible place! You walk in with a girl who badly cut her foot in the water. We didn't know her ourselves, but were kind enough to help her. We mentioned that she had a nasty cut and was bleeding profusely, and asked if they had a first aid kit. The only thing you get told is that they do have two plasters. We practically had to beg for a cloth, and we didn't get any water; we were told we had to get it from the toilet block. They didn't even walk with us to check on the girl. What a very unfriendly place, and this is right on the beach...

We arrived around 2:30 PM for a drink. We were asked very rudely if we had made a reservation. No, we hadn't. There were plenty of empty tables, but we were told to leave. What an unfriendly experience. That’s not how you keep a business afloat. Do something about it.

Nice little place by the water, been there several times. The last few times, however, I have noticed the service being somewhat colder and less formal. Upon entering, you aren't even greeted properly.

What a cozy spot. Very nice atmosphere, friendly staff, and the food was delicious. Definitely recommended. In the summer, I think it would also be nice to sit on the terrace with a lovely view of the little beach and the setting sun in the evening.

Excellent place to take a break

This is our favorite restaurant. The service is super friendly and nothing is too much trouble. It is a cozy little restaurant with various seating options: sofas, a round table, a high table, etc. The food is good, with something for everyone. When there is something to celebrate, they go along with it. In short; hats off to you!

Today I had a private party for my parents. Absolutely fantastic in every way! The food was great, the service was great, and especially the friendliness and approach were fantastic! Nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommended!

Poor Service and Discrimination Against Foreigners. I visited this café in Almere with a group of five, and the experience was extremely disappointing. The waitress wasn’t polite at all and told us they only had tables for four. We asked if they could just add another chair to the table since there were plenty of empty ones, but she said no. She didn’t bother at all to help us out. We ended up leaving — definitely not the kind of vibe you expect from a café. If you’re looking for a friendly place, I’d say skip this one.

What a beautiful location, straight from the beach into the warm and inviting Brasserie where we received a warm welcome. We enjoyed a delicious "uitsmijter" (fried sandwich) and fresh ginger tea. Delicious food in a cozy, relaxed environment

We had a wonderful meal here! The service was also very friendly and the atmosphere was cozy. I was here for dinner with a friend; we're both vegetarian and there were plenty of options. We shared the beetroot carpaccio as a starter and thoroughly enjoyed both that and our main courses! The falafel burger and the pumpkin were both incredibly tasty! She can't tolerate almonds well, so I mentioned that, and the staff were extremely careful to ensure there were no almonds in them. All the staff were super friendly, the service was quick, and the atmosphere was very cozy and welcoming. We'll definitely be back!

Nice place and good atmosphere, but you'll definitely leave hungry if you order a salmon sandwich. I've ordered plenty of salmon sandwiches at restaurants, but I've never experienced only one (not very large) slice of bread... just one slice. The staff didn't know how to handle my complaint either. How much trouble is it to offer an extra slice of bread? You'd think the cost wouldn't be an issue, but a satisfied customer would. You also have the option to choose your sandwich with an Italian bun, so I assume you don't just get half of it then, do you? 😉

We were directed to another seat by the bartender (with orange/ginger hair) in a remarkably unpleasant tone, "because otherwise we'd be blocking the aisle." The tone in which this was said was unnecessarily rude.

An excellent experience. We were there for dinner for three people on Tuesday, November 11th. We were greeted politely and seated. The two waitresses were excellent, with a calm demeanor, patience, and friendliness. There are still people who have studied for this profession! The Oudeschild appetizer platter was delicious. The soup was also very tasty and hot (very important!!). Cheese fondue for three people with an abundance of bread and vegetables. The kitchen staff prepared the food quietly and lovingly. The interior was carefully designed and finished in beautiful soft hues. A truly wonderful evening, unlike anything we've experienced in a long time. Thank you!

Cozy place with friendly service. It took a while for the food to arrive, but patience was rewarded! The food was truly delicious. Calamari was excellent. The spare ribs were delicious, with the meat so tender and sliding off the bone so easily that you could easily eat it with a fork and knife (for those who don't like messy fingers 😉). And then there was the dame blanche... just like a true dame blanche should be. Delicious ice cream without any frozen particles or lumps, and with warm chocolate sauce. The good kind! Enjoyed it!

What rude staff here! A lady with brown ponytail hair, young and truly totally excessive in her manner. Even when we pointed it out, she couldn't do anything with the feedback. I am never going here again.

Went there for a reservation for 10 people for a reunion. It started with, "Yeah, you'd better keep quiet! If you come? We're not Neanderthals, are we!" I asked what kind of menu they had, a menu was handed to me and I was told to just take a look, then the man walked away. I'm never going there again!

Unfortunately, we couldn't eat because everything was reserved. Unfortunately, we weren't flexible enough to find an alternative.

When I walked in, I was asked, "Can I help you?" I didn't appreciate the harsh tone. I'd just walked into a brasserie intending to have a nice meal. It was empty, so I hoped they could help me. I think when they walk into a brasserie, or any other restaurant for that matter, they automatically understand why a customer is there.

Acoustics: very noisy inside. Fortunately, we were allowed to sit outside. The fish was okay, but there were few vegetables with it.

I had a delicious lunch at De Jutter with a friend. The carpaccio was delicious and freshly prepared, highly recommended! It was also lovely to sit outside and enjoy the beautiful weather – that made the lunch even more enjoyable. A great place to relax with good food and a cozy atmosphere.

Always atmospheric, friendly, and excellent food. The atmosphere also has to do with the location. On the beach with a view of the Gooimeer lake. That really gives you that Texel feeling.

We've eaten there twice in the past few weeks. The waitstaff makes it and breaks it. The young staff chats happily at the bar and does their thing, busy doing nothing, only to go and get the menu themselves after 10 minutes. That was one star. In a repeat performance, the experienced lady makes it, what a gem! The food is simply excellent!

Incredibly rude! We wanted a table for seven people, including a few children, and were turned away. The reason: they said there wouldn't be any service inside and there wasn't enough space outside. This obviously wasn't entirely true. We felt truly unwelcome. No trace of Dutch hospitality. Incomprehensible, a shame, and outrageous.

Dutch, English, German Ongelooflijk bad! The committed reserve ring (zondag) produces the pressure that is in a different location. Well internally there was a great verrassing: a vrijwel lege kroeg met a beertuin uit de jaren 70. We only had to wake up for 15 minutes with our drinks. Thanks to this, we had to wake up for 15 minutes on our drinks. The menu is extremely spartan, but also extremely long, with hamburgers that cost around 25. That's a big problem, no one wants to order from you. After 1 year we left the place again. This is definitely an overall problem, I want to bring other guests to the table. Conclusion: tijd- en geldverspilling + Unbelievably bad! Reservations are compulsory (Sunday), giving the impression that this is a special location. After entering, the big surprise: a virtually empty restaurant with a beer garden from the 70s. Nevertheless, we had to wait around 15 minutes for our drinks. The menu is extremely spartan, but extremely expensive, with burgers costing almost 25. But that's not a problem, as nobody takes the order anyway. After about 1 hour we left without eating. But this is probably a general problem, as I didn't see any other guests eating at all during this time. Conclusion: A waste of time and money + Incredibly bad! Upon entering 3 tables occupied, terrace was quite full. After 1 hour you only get your starter and have to ask for a second drink yourself is crazy! They don't look at you, very bad. While within an hour the rest of the room was filled and the other customers already got a starter or main course! Starters were variable and not all good quality, only 1 was delicious. Again waited a long time for main courses. Main courses ravioli and steak bad. Satay okay. No exciting dishes ordered both starters and main courses. With 2.5 hours later you finished your main course, the dessert was skipped due to long wait, bad service, unfriendly staff and quality!

What a bad shop that was supposedly full, but that was not the case! Supposedly no place based on certain characteristics. Sat on the beach for 2 hours and the spots were all free. I know why and the two ladies at the bar also know why they determined that it was supposedly full. I'll keep the reasons to myself, but the next time I go on an outing in Almere with work, for example, it won't be here.

One star for exclusivity—but not in a good way. Tried to drop in for a simple beer and warm tea after a cold beach dip—place was half empty. Asked nicely to sit at the bar. Got turned away like I was crashing a private party. Apparently, this is one of those “reservation-only” spots, even if you’re just after a drink and the place is clearly not full. The group after me? Magically got a table. Feels less like a restaurant and more like a secret club you’re not invited to. Unique, yes—but not exactly welcoming.

Unfortunately we were fully booked today but were allowed to sit outside. After we took a seat it turned out to be very chilly indeed. The lady said that it will get colder quickly and it might be better to eat elsewhere. We ate at Brasserie Julia on her advice. Next time we will make a reservation and will definitely eat at De Jutter. Top service.

The food is delicious at De Jutter and the staff is friendly. That's why we wanted to have lunch with the family in June, because we will have been married for 5 years We have a large family. With 14 of us and 4 small children Unfortunately we could not make a reservation because the group was too large. That was communicated somewhat bluntly. Very strange and disappointing. Bad service!!

Cozy restaurant and lovely terrace on the water. Most dishes were tasty. The asparagus was a major disappointment. Although asparagus is offered in very different ways, these were simply not tasty enough. Nevertheless, I would like to come back here again.

Nicely decorated and the location is very nice. We had to wait a long time (20 minutes) before the order was taken even though it didn't seem busy. Then it took a long time for the food to arrive due to an error in placing the order. 45 minutes after our arrival, the fries and croquettes arrived. Fries from the factory, not home made.

If the light blue car is in the parking lot… that's when you eat the best… Chef Wendy will be in that house!!! ❤️😘 Furthermore, a fantastic relaxing place on the idyllic beach of Almere Haven to end a busy, rather hectic period! (Honest) service, attention to food and its presentation. For today just a drink hour, but we will definitely come back for lunch or dinner. AND….
