SUNNDAYS in Wijk 00: Valkenburg

What a great place! We sat here on the terrace several times during our weekend in Valkenburg. Had a lovely drink and meal. The staff is very friendly and pleasant, unlike some other restaurants. We will definitely come back:

The food is good, not extraordinary but good quality, being served rather quickly. The staff are very helpful and always available. The cafe is located in a nice street, in case you like sitting there and watching, you can of course also seat inside, the terrac is warmed up for cold weather.

We went inside tempted by Google's opinion. Unfortunately, we were disappointed with the food itself. Two different burgers and two rather disappointing ones. It's not something I want to go back for. Honor is saved by the schnitzel and baked potatoes, which were delicious. I must add that the service was exceptionally nice and the place has a nice atmosphere, with the downside being cigarette smoke. I am definitely in favor of banning smoking in restaurants.

Food was perfect, service was perfect and atmosphere was perfect!!! Highly recommended if you want to eat and drink deliciously!

Wederom heerlijk gegeten en gedronken. Was heerlijk weer dus gezellig op het terras kunnen eten. Vriendelijke bediening. Een aanrader!

Ended up on the terrace by chance and was pleasantly surprised. Nice atmosphere, friendly and attentive service. The food was delicious and the coffee and tea were beautifully presented. We would love to come back again.

Elk jaar gaan wij een weekend naar Valkenburg en zijn nu voor de tweede keer gaan eten bij Sunndays… ook nu was het weer heerlijk! Volgend jaar zeker weer! Een klein, knus en leuk restaurant. Bediening is top! Prijs/kwaliteit top! Voorgerechten zijn “to share” wat ik echt ideaal vind. De borrelplank hebben wij langs zien komen en zag er heerlijk uit overigens. Voor de hoofdgerechten is er een ruime keuze! En voor ieder wat wils. Ook hebben ze een kinderkaart. Mocht je het lastig vinden tussen alle restaurants in valkenburg… dan is Sunndays zeker een aanrader! Tip: even online reserveren zodat je zeker een tafeltje hebt.

Heerlijk gegeten en bovenal heel vriendelijk personeel! Wij vonden de starter to share echt heerlijk! We konden zo van alles wat proeven én hoe gezellig om lekker samen van zo’n plank te eten. De Strawberry Gin Tonic is zeker een aanrader! Zie de foto’s.

Een gezellig knusse zaak waar personeel erg vriendelijk is. En er een fijne ambiance hangt. Eten erg lekker was. Normale porties eten. En om voedsel verspilling te voorkomen betaal je extra je frietjes en salade. Een absolute aanrader.

Het was een aangename avond op een sfeervol terras met voldoende heaters om het lekker warm te hebben. We waren met 13 personen en hebben echt heerlijk gegeten. Een aanrader voor een geslaagde avond.

Super delicious food in a cozy atmosphere. We had the Italian Burger...delicious😋The service was again extremely friendly and that was very pleasant. The coffee afterwards was also complete with whipped cream, liqueur and a glass of water...in short...Compliment👌

Had a delicious lunch. Club Sandwich. Highly recommended. The coffee (latte macchiato) is also served sublime, something you don't see much anymore. Nice place.

Thai scampi soup.... Can of coconut with 2 scampi...very sad... That's how I can do it too.... Please remove it from the menu...Holland is not Thailand...

Side dishes such as fries or pasta are billed separately and make the meal much more expensive than initially thought. Although this is shown in the menu, it is confusing, especially for foreign guests.

Nice terrace. There were some flies flying around which made it less pleasant. Eating was not a high-flyer and I gave it up. I had a Thai soup but it was not tasty and certainly not what you would get on the menu at a Thai. You also had to look for the Scampis. Adding bread and butter was also a strange combination.

Super tasty food, friendly staff and great atmosphere. You can't ask for more, a top restaurant for a nice drink and a fantastic dinner. We can highly recommend this.

Even sat here on the terrace in February, the heaters were on properly so that was very pleasant. Enjoyed a delicious meal from one of the many tasty options on the menu. The Illy coffee is also always good and the Fourchette tripel is very tasty! It was very busy so it sometimes took a while before you were served, but on the other hand they were all very friendly :)

Vriendelijk personeel met aandacht voor de gasten. Ruime keuze in gerechten en een mooie wijnkaart. Erg attent om gericht een beetje aan te passen aan wensen van de gast.

Food was good. Fries were excellent. Breadcrumbs did fall off the schnitzel, but the taste was still good. Worth repeating. Chocolate sauce on request from the Dame Blanche, which makes the service a 5 for us. Top.

Perfektes Restaurant und das in so einer Touristenhochburg. Es hat schon bei der Reservierung angefangen. Da wurde schon auf Wünsche eingegangen. Das Restaurant ist klein und super gemütlich. Durch die netten Mitarbeiter fühlt man sich sofort wohl und willkommen. Das Essen super lecker und raffiniert! Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Abend. Vielen Dank dafür!

Midday lunch during a weekend in Valkenburg. The terrace is pleasant, beautiful decoration, the seats are comfortable with a small blanket for cooler days. Very friendly service despite the language barrier. I opted for a very well garnished and tasty Caesar salad. A good address to remember for a future visit.

Heerlijke ongedwongen sfeer, zeer mooie locatie en hele goede bediening. En niet geheel onbelangrijk: heerlijk gegeten. Voor ons zeer geslaagd en we komen zeker terug!

Op een niet zo drukke maandag toch maar gereserveerd voor drie pp, want waar kun je anders zo lekker eten in Valkenburg. Vriendelijk ontvangen, jassen aangenomen. Drankjes besteld, pinot voor de dames, malbec voor meneer. Prima. Menu gaf keuzestress, maar na extra uitleg van de bediening kwamen we er uit. Vooraf Oosters plankje en Plato Jamon om te delen. Als hoofdgerechten zalm tartaar met sinasappel vinaigrette met friet en ossehaaspuntjes met rozeval aardappels. Het voorgerecht was al een maaltijd opzich, maar super lekker. De zalm en ossenhaas smaakten ook uitmuntend net als de smaakvolle friet en rozemarijn aardappels. Koffie toe, voor dessert was geen plek meer. Dank aan de kok en bediening voor deze onvergetelijke avond.

Had a delicious meal in this cozy restaurant, where the service and wines were top notch. To share we had an Oriental plank in advance with the Plato Jamon. A big bite for 3 p.p. The salmon tartare and tenderloin slices were a delicious addition to the appetizer. Zuyd's fries tasted good with this. There was no room left for dessert.

Super friendly people, nice atmosphere, good quality food and a great price! The food always came quickly and was served at the same time. The enthusiastic lady who occasionally comes for a chat and takes your coat upon arrival and hands it back upon departure. All in all, this is how a restaurant experience should be. If we are ever in Valkenburg again, we will come by again!

Gezellige knusse zaak met goede bediening en heerlijk eten! De steaktartaar, ossenhaas pasta en de black angus bavette zijn zeker een aanrader.

Leuk restaurant met heerlijke gerechten op het menu. Vriendelijk personeel. Als ik een minpuntje mag benoemen is het de tafel die we hadden recht tegenover de deur. Met een groot terras buiten is het telkens dichtklappen van de deur van personeel Wat heen en weer loopt wel wat hinderlijk. Met koude dagen komt er ook wat koude lucht doorheen.

Zeer lekker en vriendelijk! Gezellig ingericht, vriendelijke personeel en heel verzorgde borden. Het was allemaal van goede kwaliteit.

Excellent espresso, with a glass of water as it should be😅 As a bonus, a glass of liqueur next to it. The pies are also very tasty here, and they are not small pieces so you don't have to have lunch after eating them 🤣. Service is very correct and very friendly. In short, after a few hours at the Christmas market, go here to warm up!

Visited today during the rush hours. It is advised to reserve in advance, especially on the weekends during the Christmas market. Onion soup was amazing, nachos super-tasty, burgers delicious. Plus the service was too, fast and helpful.

Delicious cocktails and delicious food! Very cozy sitting with the warming fires outside and there were extra blankets for those who could use some extra warmth. Really great value for money! We were positively surprised!

Caesar salad without dressing that says it all. Further recommendation is zero once and never again. And the schnitzel for €17 didn't come with fries. They cost another €4.50 extra. Great

My husband and I had a salad. Very tasty and more than enough, definitely worth the money. Our son took pasta bolognaise from the children's menu. He really liked it, tried it and it was very tasty indeed. Service was also friendly and good!

Bij ravioli met "tartufo et funghi" verwacht iedereen ravioli gevuld met paddestoelen en truffel er overheen geschaafd, maar helaas... Als je dan je je feedback hebt gegeven, en er niets mee kunt doen. Tip: VRAAG DAN NIET NOG EENS HOE HET WAS GEWEEST.

Relax in the sun with fans around you. The last week of August was already a bit of a late season, which ensured that the terraces were pleasantly filled. The bubbles with oysters were highly recommended.

The first evening in Valkenburg we looked for a nice and cozy restaurant. First we looked on Google and we quickly came across Sundays. Upon entering, a spontaneous lady asks if we had made a reservation…and we did. We were still allowed to choose whether we wanted to sit inside or outside. Still opted for indoors. I must say a beautiful stylish restaurant...well decorated and very cozy. The card looked very good! Break the sandwich in advance and eat an excellent fried tournedos with truffle sauce. Rarely tasty! The icing on the cake is the delicious Affogato... scoop of ice cream with expresso quenched cream and whipped cream! We often visit Valkenburg, but it really is one of the best restaurants. Everything was perfect...entry, atmosphere, super friendly and a good price. We will definitely come back!!! Oh yes and if you want to eat outside on the beautiful terrace, drinks are also recommended!!!

Friendly, well priced and tasty food

What a great tent this is! We stopped here for lunch and it was a hit. The filled Spanish baguettes that my girlfriend and I had (she teriyaki chicken, I seasoned minced meat) were top notch, perfectly seasoned and a good portion. Our table companions' omelette and croquettes also looked delicious. Finally, the way you serve fresh ginger tea is an example for the catering industry. There was a nice filter above the cup and the orange was neatly served separately. Absolutely great!

Very honest tasty cuisine but above all very nice pleasant service where you felt very welcome. Due to the crowds there was a slightly longer waiting time, but the pleasant atmosphere ensured that this was not a nuisance. In the multitude of restaurants in Valkenburg it was nice to be able to stay here in an authentic atmosphere.
