There was a problem with the reservation system, but they resolved it kindly. The food was delicious. The interior is small but cozy.

Here's my honest review: The atmosphere and ambiance – especially at the standing table behind the bar – were initially very pleasant. The waitress not only spoke English but also friendly German, which is definitely a plus. But now comes the part that, for me, is a clear red flag in upscale hospitality: At one point, we were both sitting there with visibly empty plates, and our wine glasses had been empty for over 15 minutes. At the same time, waitresses were walking past our table every three minutes – I honestly wonder: Why didn't they even glance at the guests? We weren't asked if everything was alright (which I consider a given), nor if we wanted another glass of wine. We watched this blatant disregard for our customers for about 20 minutes and finally got up to proactively pay the bill. When I then offered some constructive criticism, they preferred to argue that they were "busy" (odd, though, that other tables were being attended to regularly). This is another no-go for me: If a guest says fairly that something didn't feel good, the service has exactly one chance to deal with it professionally. Unfortunately that didn't happen here. This is another no-go for me: When a guest calmly and fairly points out that something didn’t feel right, the service has exactly one opportunity to handle it professionally and turn the situation around. Unfortunately, that didn't happen here. A real shame.

Very good, very welcoming, nothing to complain about!

On a busy Tuesday during the Christmas holidays, I spontaneously popped in for a light bite and a drink. There was still a table for four available inside. Outside, you can also sit comfortably in the winter thanks to the patio heater. A latte macchiato was perfectly served with a glass of water and whipped cream, along with a little liqueur. Appetizers weren't too expensive! At least you don't pay €1.50 per bitterbal here. The only downside was that the ladies' restroom was quite dirty. The fountain was clogged and full of dirty water. I reported it, so I'm sure it'll be fixed now... All in all, a great place to relax, right in the city center!

Delicious shared tapas platter. Actually, the main course wasn't necessary after this. However, the Asian tenderloin steaks were excellent. This left no room for dessert. "Perhaps the bottle of rosé per person was a bit of a letdown." The staff was very friendly and worked very quickly. Nice atmosphere, both inside and outside.

We were there on a Saturday for the Christmas parade. Advance reservations are necessary. The welcome was friendly and the assigned seats were very good. The menu has something for everyone, including more unusual dishes. The food was excellent. The drinks menu is extensive and of high quality. The service is very friendly and attentive. We reserved a table for 8 p.m. We arrived fifteen minutes early. The table wasn't available, even though other reserved tables were already free. We've eaten there many times, but this was the last time.

Absolutely fantastic! We arrived without a reservation; I left my phone number and received a call 10 minutes later. The staff were very friendly. The food was DELICIOUS! The mojito was the first one I'd had near Valkenburg and the surrounding area that I really enjoyed. The Sunny Day sangria was delicious; the longer the fruit sat in the glass, the better it tasted. The meat was excellent. My son absolutely loved the spaghetti. A double 10! I thoroughly enjoyed this place and especially the friendliness of the staff! I'd love to come back soon.

Had a wonderful meal at Sunndays today. Let's get straight to the point. The schnitzel was a bit disappointing: it was on the dry side and lacked flavor, as it was very thin. The spareribs, on the other hand, were excellent – ​​well-prepared and nicely seasoned. The food was delicious. But the staff was incredibly unsociable. They barely looked at us, and when we asked for a glass of tap water alongside the food and drinks we'd already ordered, they eyed us suspiciously. Then they returned (after 10 minutes) with a small amount of water. The wait times were ridiculous. We ended up waiting an hour for our two bowls of soup. To order and pay, we had to go find the waiters ourselves because they didn't come automatically. They never came to us on their own initiative. I would give the staff -1 star if I could.

We had a delicious meal yesterday. Beautiful location. Good, professional, and friendly staff. Perhaps a small tip (and not just here) would be to make the terrace smoke-free as well. We were seated next to three heavily smoking women at another table. At another table was a gentleman with an e-cigarette that had a very unpleasant odor. It spoiled the aroma and taste of the food.

We had to wait a long time for our lunch. We were out of croquettes. Strange, considering lunch had only just started (it was 12 noon) and the terrace wasn't full. The terrace is nice, but the space between tables is small, so the waiters keep bumping into you.

Food was good and a great atmosphere but I found it odd frites were not included in the price of the main courses, only by the burgers.

Price-quality ratio isn't good. We're used to a total price. Here, you have to pay per item.

Tonight we had dinner at Sunndays in Valkenburg, located in the city centre next to La Bottega – where we had already had a lovely meal yesterday. Attracted by the enthusiastic stories of my sister and her partner (who had been there in December), we decided to make a reservation. We even arrived a bit earlier than planned, but that was no problem at all: we were welcomed in a friendly manner and given a nice table. The staff was extremely hospitable and friendly, we immediately felt welcome – something we don’t experience everywhere. We started with a coke, ginger ale and a delicious fresh bruschetta as a starter. Then we enjoyed a schnitzel with pepper sauce and Asian Style tenderloin, served with Rozeval potatoes. Everything was truly sublime: well prepared, tasty and beautifully presented. So far a great evening, until dessert arrived. My partner chose the affogato – and it was perfect. I went for the homemade cheesecake, but unfortunately… it turned out to be full of mould when it was served. At first I doubted whether it was part of it, but unfortunately that was not the case. We reported this immediately to the staff, who responded very professionally and politely with sincere apologies. A round of drinks was taken off the bill and something on the house was offered (but because of the nausea I experienced I declined this). She indicated that this had never happened before and that it was absolutely not the intention. Still, my appetite had completely disappeared, I even felt a bit nauseous. In summary: a beautiful restaurant, excellent service and good quality food - but unfortunately a big disappointment because of the dessert. Despite the incident, I would definitely recommend the restaurant, hoping that this was a one-off mistake.

What a great place! We sat here on the terrace several times during our weekend in Valkenburg. Had a lovely drink and meal. The staff is very friendly and pleasant, unlike some other restaurants. We will definitely come back:

The food is good, not extraordinary but good quality, being served rather quickly. The staff are very helpful and always available. The cafe is located in a nice street, in case you like sitting there and watching, you can of course also seat inside, the terrac is warmed up for cold weather.

We went inside tempted by Google's opinion. Unfortunately, we were disappointed with the food itself. Two different burgers and two rather disappointing ones. It's not something I want to go back for. Honor is saved by the schnitzel and baked potatoes, which were delicious. I must add that the service was exceptionally nice and the place has a nice atmosphere, with the downside being cigarette smoke. I am definitely in favor of banning smoking in restaurants.

Heerlijk gegeten en bovenal heel vriendelijk personeel! Wij vonden de starter to share echt heerlijk! We konden zo van alles wat proeven én hoe gezellig om lekker samen van zo’n plank te eten. De Strawberry Gin Tonic is zeker een aanrader! Zie de foto’s.

Elk jaar gaan wij een weekend naar Valkenburg en zijn nu voor de tweede keer gaan eten bij Sunndays… ook nu was het weer heerlijk! Volgend jaar zeker weer! Een klein, knus en leuk restaurant. Bediening is top! Prijs/kwaliteit top! Voorgerechten zijn “to share” wat ik echt ideaal vind. De borrelplank hebben wij langs zien komen en zag er heerlijk uit overigens. Voor de hoofdgerechten is er een ruime keuze! En voor ieder wat wils. Ook hebben ze een kinderkaart. Mocht je het lastig vinden tussen alle restaurants in valkenburg… dan is Sunndays zeker een aanrader! Tip: even online reserveren zodat je zeker een tafeltje hebt.

Een gezellig knusse zaak waar personeel erg vriendelijk is. En er een fijne ambiance hangt. Eten erg lekker was. Normale porties eten. En om voedsel verspilling te voorkomen betaal je extra je frietjes en salade. Een absolute aanrader.

Het was een aangename avond op een sfeervol terras met voldoende heaters om het lekker warm te hebben. We waren met 13 personen en hebben echt heerlijk gegeten. Een aanrader voor een geslaagde avond.

Nice terrace. There were some flies flying around which made it less pleasant. Eating was not a high-flyer and I gave it up. I had a Thai soup but it was not tasty and certainly not what you would get on the menu at a Thai. You also had to look for the Scampis. Adding bread and butter was also a strange combination.

Even sat here on the terrace in February, the heaters were on properly so that was very pleasant. Enjoyed a delicious meal from one of the many tasty options on the menu. The Illy coffee is also always good and the Fourchette tripel is very tasty! It was very busy so it sometimes took a while before you were served, but on the other hand they were all very friendly :)

Midday lunch during a weekend in Valkenburg. The terrace is pleasant, beautiful decoration, the seats are comfortable with a small blanket for cooler days. Very friendly service despite the language barrier. I opted for a very well garnished and tasty Caesar salad. A good address to remember for a future visit.

Heerlijke ongedwongen sfeer, zeer mooie locatie en hele goede bediening. En niet geheel onbelangrijk: heerlijk gegeten. Voor ons zeer geslaagd en we komen zeker terug!

Op een niet zo drukke maandag toch maar gereserveerd voor drie pp, want waar kun je anders zo lekker eten in Valkenburg. Vriendelijk ontvangen, jassen aangenomen. Drankjes besteld, pinot voor de dames, malbec voor meneer. Prima. Menu gaf keuzestress, maar na extra uitleg van de bediening kwamen we er uit. Vooraf Oosters plankje en Plato Jamon om te delen. Als hoofdgerechten zalm tartaar met sinasappel vinaigrette met friet en ossehaaspuntjes met rozeval aardappels. Het voorgerecht was al een maaltijd opzich, maar super lekker. De zalm en ossenhaas smaakten ook uitmuntend net als de smaakvolle friet en rozemarijn aardappels. Koffie toe, voor dessert was geen plek meer. Dank aan de kok en bediening voor deze onvergetelijke avond.

Had a delicious meal in this cozy restaurant, where the service and wines were top notch. To share we had an Oriental plank in advance with the Plato Jamon. A big bite for 3 p.p. The salmon tartare and tenderloin slices were a delicious addition to the appetizer. Zuyd's fries tasted good with this. There was no room left for dessert.
