Service...was there any service at all? 🤔 We were pointed to the QR code. The staff were busy with everything but the customers. You can't ask questions about food or drinks at the QR code, so I didn't order any food. The coffee was weak and not hot, so I didn't even drink it. The only positive was the treat you could buy for the dog. One try, never again.

Very cozy. A real holiday feeling. If the wind hadn't been so chilly, I would have felt like I was on Aruba.

I rarely write reviews, but this was a complete flop! What a crappy place! Uninspired staff. Location absolutely awful. Approaching the location was a disaster. Salads were meager, literally a bag of lettuce in a bowl with a few prawns on top. There was a lack of passion for the food. Restrooms filthy. Trash from previous guests at the table wasn't removed until after 30 minutes and wasn't cleaned up. In conclusion, if you want to enjoy a refined meal without any annoyances, this is not the place for you! If you're looking for uninspired food and don't care much for friendly service from the staff, this is the place for you. I'm going to advise everyone around me against it!

Crazy cool place with the most delicious salads! We were warmly welcomed, even with our racing bikes (we forgot our chain) inside. Great music, fast service thanks to the highly technical ordering booth with QR menu. I wish we had something like this in Almere, but don't worry, we'd happily cycle to Alphen aan de Rijn SunSet again!!! Thanks!!!! X

Sunset pretends to be (want to be) sustainable, but if you eat plant-based you have no business here. They don't even know what vegan means, even though it was indicated when booking that it was no problem.

Sunset is really a location to relax with a nice snack and drink was there today with my brothers who came from The Hague and they want to come and enjoy again. Service staff are also very nice and good service tailored to your needs. Top recommendation for everyone, but leave a spot for me hhahah

We were very comfortable, but a dog was running loose, which bothered us and the people around us. When we reported it, we got a big mouth back from the dog's owner and nothing was done about it. We did not feel taken seriously by the staff.

A nice atmosphere but the staff was very unfriendly. I ordered a pizza and then they came and forced me to order drinks while I didn't want them and then they thought it was strange if I ordered a pizza without drinks. Very antisocial. I felt forced to order it with it!

The cocktail, for 6 euros, was a can with a regular long drink glass. The sandwich was very hard and dry, as if it came from a pre-packaged bag, and the pizza was tasty but very small for what you pay. Location is very beautiful.

Been twice now, nice setting and atmosphere but terrible service. The first time it took quite a while (more than half an hour) before we got our 3 drinks, we also ordered apple pie, which we were eventually told was still a bit frozen... we can warm them up in the microwave. the solution...no, leave that app cake alone. 2nd time (year later) I ended up waiting 30 minutes again for 2 teas and a fristi. My daughter ordered the bag of ships from the bar herself and was given another one because the ordered variant had run out... no next time for us....

We were a group of 11, 9 adults and 2 children. We ordered drinks and lunch via the QR code. The drinks came over 20-30 minutes in multiple rounds, except for the mocktail. After waiting for more than 45 minutes, there was still no mocktail. I asked several times if it had gone through correctly, each time I was told "it will be coming soon" but I saw trays of drinks going to other tables. The setting is very nice but the service was a real shame. It's also a shame that you have to drink wine from a plastic cup. The sandwiches are okay in taste but not surprising.

And glass of merlot (according to the menu) in a plastic cup. The passion fruit vinada half spilled on the tray. The olives hard. Only the cubes of cheese met expectations. We have decided not to visit this location for the time being.

Saw on the website that they had a yogurt bowl for breakfast. That's why we agreed to have breakfast there. I looked at the menu on site and yes, there is the yogurt bowl. Unfortunately, it is a very old map and the website has not been updated according to the owner. We can order a croissant. In the end I only had fresh mint tea (which included 1 honey for 2 people) and then had breakfast somewhere else. Not very nice there, unfortunately not worth repeating!

Very bad food. Always everything sold out. I ordered nachos. It appears to have been sold out. At 3:30 PM. This is already the 4th. Time. Very bad. Maybe hire someone to do stock. Because this is not possible. They can also quickly get nachos at Hoogvliet. Maas that's too much for their no customer service at all. *the system was down. So it was written down on a receipt. No nachos after hours. After that system worked, naxhos came out of the kitchen. So I said where's mine. It turned out to be SOLD OUT!!!!

On a sunny day on a seemingly empty terrace we ordered coffee and lunch. After a while it turned out that there was no buratta available. Can happen. An alternative, due to the very limited lunch menu, was a grilled cheese sandwich. After some time it turned out that this could not be made without ham. So it is far from fresh. Then came another round alternative. The gentleman apologized and went to make sandwiches. We finally received sandwiches with pesto from a jar an hour after arrival, terribly salty, far from a tasty bite. Asked for a reduction myself given the poor quality and the long wait, which was not offered. The employee involved handled this neatly, but all in all, what a shame. Toilets were also very dirty. Sure, that can happen, but I also pointed this out to them. All in all it comes across as unprofessional, somewhat lax and not very hospitable. Once and never again...

Had a nice lunch. But it was more because of the company.

It is a nice location, and the bar itself is OK. Portions are a bit small, and orders sometimes get mixed. We got meat instead of veggie order. So that is a bit hard. However, the stuff was nice and helped to get all sorted out.

Had a delicious sandwich with brie, walnuts, ruccola and honey. Bread was nicely roasted. Ordered a cappuccino, it was served in a beautiful glass. Very cozy & nice atmosphere. Heated terrace. Children and dog friendly. Price in line with Dutch hospitality standard. I'll go back whenever I can.

Had a drink on Boxing Day. Unfortunately, the staff is very slow to act. The coffee machine is broken and does not work properly, making it very slow. The special beer IPA expires in August 2023. The line of waiting people is decreasing because new guests are leaving. Definitely not recommended, the owner has work to do to make money here.
