I got a chicken curry sandwich and it was really delicious and it was ready quickly. I will definitely go again!

I had a roti with chicken legs and sambal. It was inedible; everything was watery, even the sambal was diluted with water. The sauce with the roti was watery and tasteless; it's unbelievable what they give you. The chicken legs were tasteless and inedible. I won't be coming back. For €11.80, you should expect better food and not the junk like what's described here. Ugh.

I've been coming here for years; no other place serves better and tastier food than Swietie! I recommend it to everyone.

We order sandwiches here every Friday, and they're always delicious. Whether it's chicken curry, cod, satay, or shrimp, the sandwiches are always perfect and generously filled. The owner is a super friendly woman who always welcomes you with a big smile. With a large order, you even get free delicious mini spring rolls. What a great place!

I've been coming here since I was 8 and I'm still just as happy, even now that I've moved to The Hague I still come here to get my food, great!

Good food. The top one was my review from years ago. Things have changed since then. The food has become much smaller and much more expensive. There are new people there, and Sweetie's isn't the same anymore. The food isn't the same either, but it's still reasonable. We understand that everything has become more expensive, but you adjust the price, and the portions too, which have become really expensive. It's a shame, because we're quite old customers.

Eetzaak Swietie is not swietie (not tasty)! The food is way too salty, whether it's roasted chicken or tjauw min or nasi, it doesn't matter, everything is too salty and not fresh. You can taste that immediately! If that's not all, you now pay 20 euros, minus a few cents, for a tjauwmin roasted chicken special. Tjauw ordered min pork special plus 2 rolls, almost 33 euros. Meat container not even half full (would actually say 1/3) totally ridiculous for this price. Never again, borders on fraud.

I often go here with friends to get something to eat and have never been disappointed. Delicious and affordable sandwiches. Baras are nice and soft on the inside and a bit crunchy on the outside and very filling. Also had dishes several times and moksi meti you certainly get enough meat. I also highly recommend the noodles, especially Singapore. I would also rather come pick it up because then everything is still at its best.

Swietie used to be a top tent, Ordered Tjauw min and Saoto today. Was delivered faster than indicated but... Witte tjauw minus?? And the saoto... You used to get boiled chicken in it, I have no idea what I was eating now, and I never put tajer leaf in my saoto... It's a shame that things have deteriorated so quickly. Probably a new chef? Better fire it and go back to the person who cooked here years ago because that's how your customers leave.

We just ordered food from here. When I opened it I saw white tjauw min, but that is strange. And where's the shashew and the sauce? It was a whole lot of drama. Tjauw min that tasted like over-cooked bami soup, with meat that you have to look for. Meat was brown and tough. This dish should be with brown tjauw min and pink meat! I never want to eat from there again.

Now that I'm back from the trope, the roti I ordered took me there for a moment. Taste very good, sauce not too thin. 12.50 euros for enough roti, good meat-vegetable sauce ratio. So your belly is full. Only small minus point, normally there is sambal as standard with other things. I will definitely order more often. Delivery was right on time.

Disappointing experience with Surinamese dishes!! I was really looking forward to an authentic Surinamese meal, but unfortunately it was quite disappointing. The sauto soup was not real saoto soup like I am used to. Instead of the expected chicken, there were cubes of duck with skin, which did not improve the taste at all. The tèlo was also a disappointment: far too fatty and therefore difficult to eat. The bakabana was mostly dough and hardly any banana, which completely threw off the balance of the dish. The accompanying peanut sauce had a stale taste and was reminiscent of cheap peanut butter. All in all, this was not a successful experience. Surinamese will not recognize their food here. Shame!

I ordered 2 bara with meat, 1 of which had mold on it. The food was also delivered half an hour late.

Yes, everything goes wrong here, we make them again and then you get an extra sandwich from the company. Or do you want your money back, but I don't know how to do that. So I say, no, I still have to eat. Eventually. They are at the door at 9 p.m. 3 HOURS LATER. And what's in the bag. The original order, just reheated. The ends of the rolls looked like concrete and the rest of the rolls were tough and tough. Not to be eaten. Toppings were minimal. Oh, and that extra sandwich............ I think they ate it themselves on the way. Conclusion, 25 euros and 5 sandwiches in the garbage bin. So skip Swietie, they are becoming too popular and clearly cannot handle the crowds. Very unfortunate.

It's really annoying nowadays when ordering food, that you get less and less while it becomes more expensive. Ordered noodles with bacon and the bacon was not enough for a small child, but it was a large bowl of noodles.... Had to pay 20 euros RIDICULOUS!!!!!

Ordered roti twice at Roti Huis Swietie and it was like participating in a new game show: 'Who can chew rubber the longest?' The chicken was so tough that I almost canceled my gym membership because this was my workout for the week. Potatoes? More like mystery puree. To be honest, it was hilariously bad. If you laugh at your own suffering, this is your mockery. 1 star for laughs, but culinary? Keep your chicken, I'll pass!

Today I had a delicious dawet at the swietie, there was friendly staff and a delicious dawet and nice and cold

I have already ordered food from Sweetie a number of times, it slowly deteriorated. Until today, the absolute low point was reached.... Brown beans with salt meat, or should I say SALT meat? It looked like the cook had dropped a whole pack of Jozo into the pan!!!! Not normal!!! It's been an hour now and I still can't get the salty taste out of my mouth. And the fact that my kidneys still work is a miracle. Not to mention the meat, even tougher than my sneakers. 17.50 euros bye bye, but those were also the last euros of mine that Sweetie ever saw.

Delicious Surinamese sandwiches!

We were in the mood for Surinamese food so we thought we would get this too. The food arrives and I have never been so disappointed with an order! The roti plate that came with the chicken curry arrived damp (wet) and hard. What chicken curry was supposed to represent was just some kind of soup. The potatoes were hard and undercooked, the chicken looked like waste meat and instead of long beans you got beans that looked like they were from a can, the egg had fallen apart and was soggy. I didn't even want to take a bite of this. Simply outrageous to present this to anyone. The fried bananas were soggy with much too thick batter and the fat was literally dripping off. When I called to complain about this, I was half shouted at, it was all untrue and they had never heard this before. NEVER AGAIN! I don't recommend anyone to order here

Ordered food If you get roti net soup instead of ki file, you don't even get chicken strips and potatoes If you order a bara curry, egg curry is nowhere to be found You call them and they don't do anything with it sorry I will never order from there again what a bad food roti doesn't even taste like roti

Ordered a nasie with pork. She indicated that it was put in another packaging container and the meat would be placed on top of the nasie. Then when I picked up completely different containers that were a lot smaller and I had asked for NO chicken, yet there was chicken in it. After I asked about it, there was some very anti-social banter behind the counter. Bad service, after years of getting takeaway, I used to be a regular customer here, but I will never go here again. Then off to Rotterdam for collection, which is a shame.

Ordered 2 portions of food, moksie metie and chicken in black bean sauce. Moksie metie meat only fat, not crispy, it looked like they used offal. Chicken in black bean sauce was way too salty or they emptied a can of salt in the garden. NEVER AGAIN !!!!!

Surinamese Chinese style. Unfortunately not what we hoped for. The tjauw min chicken was fine, but the roti had little long beans and a thick pickled sauce instead of gravy, pom and bakkeljauw were a sweet paste and with lots of onion and tomato.

Saoto soup does not include fried chicken or fried egg but boiled. It really wasn't the saoto taste as it should be. Very unfortunate, it used to be such a good thing, about 20 years ago

HAIR IN THE FOOD! This is a great pity... 2 hairs in the food. Picked up food and then you come home and there are 2 hairs in the food. The service is very hard to find. First argue for 30 minutes to get no compensation at all. We'll never do this again.

Reasonably tasty food, 2 tips, 1 for the plantain: do not put aluminum foil around it to keep it warm, but put it in the bag without anything around it (of course a container without a lid can be placed in the bag) and leave a little slit open in the bag. This way you keep the crispy crust. Now the plantain had a thick bread-like soft, moist crust through the aluminum foil because the heat couldn't escape and air couldn't get in, just like I was eating the crust of a pie from the spring roll stand and I thought that was a shame. 1 more tip: State on the website and/or on the takeaway menu whether you serve thick or thin noodles with the main courses. Was a bit unclear.
