Only truly good sushi in Leiden

Sushi was ok but way too large rolls. I was happy to see that the crab was fairly fresh. The staff was friendly and made sure we were ok. The fried chicken was unfortunately burnt. I asked to get a new one after showing how burnt they were and that they weren’t fully covered. I thought that maybe they forgot about it since a lot of orders came in at the same time. Unfortunately it was burnt a second time. Not a good experience. The place did not live up to the expectations from viewing ranked lists etc.

It's more of a takeaway place than a restaurant, but the sushi was delicious (and quite large for the price). The waitress was very helpful. NB: only pay in cash!!

Great restaurant and good service. Nice people work here. I came to this restaurant because I noticed the beautiful art of sushi . I ordered 2 sushi sets for takeaway. These turned out to be the most delicious rolls and nigiri I ate in the Netherlands. There were many fish and fresh ingredients. In the future I want to try your sashimi and gunkan ikura. Big slices for Sashimi, so far this fresh Sashimi I ate in NL. Service nice even not excellent, Atmosphere more like take away restaurant, maybe because in Leiden Centrum. The price still make sense if we’re compared with the quality. I still want to come back again. 🔥

Delicious sushi (the best in Leiden if you ask me), large portions and a lovely man behind the counter. You can't use a PIN but you can do a bank transfer from your phone in a few seconds. The place could use a bit of decorating to make it more charming and inviting.

We live in the neighbourhood and wanted to try Sushi Bento. After the food was served we saw it were small portions but nothing to be very critical about. However, when we wanted to pay we were surprised to learn that the payment was only either via cash or bank transfer. No debit or credit cards were allowed, they didn’t even have a machine for it. The biggest letdown was that we had to pay 1,50 for tap water. Each. This is very sad as we wanted to learn about the neighbourhood and support these businesses, however we learned that this place is only profit oriented and doesn’t have the customers in mind. Very sad and we DO NOT recommend to eat at Sushi Bento.

We were really disappointed this time. They have renovated it, it looks neater, but the service has deteriorated enormously. Our food was placed on the counter while we were sitting 40 cm from the table... a half-step walk for the employee, but that was apparently too much effort... Quality of the food was also much lower than in the past.. The King crab was way too cold on warm sushi rice and the noodles were too sad for words. That was the last time we were here for a while. Very unfortunate.

Dit is echt de beste Sushi van Leiden, en nu ook nog op een nieuwe locatie, een paar deuren verder dus zeker proberen. We komen hier al jaren!

I bought sushi here because it was recommended as one of the best. Sushi seemed good, but when I tasted it wasn't that I expected, the pieces weren't the typical combinations that you expect to see, the flavour of the salmon didn't exist, the portions were too big to eat in one shoot and the rice it wasn't well cooked because the pieces were broken while you are trying to eat, soo uncomfortable. And last but not least, I paid too much for the sushi, expecting something really good and it wasn't. Low quality, high price. Maybe I had bad luck.

Not a fancy restaurant at all, but you get the best sushi in Leiden.

Wij hadden de yakitori bentobox. Geen fan van de rijst (tikkeltje zuur door azijn denk) en miso soep (was erg zoet). Yakitori wel smakelijk.

Good food! Careful how you wash the soup bowls. They had a distinct dishwasher taste.

The sushi is very good, with large and tasty portions. The place is small and simple but comfortable.

We waren met 5 personen en zijn heel lief geholpen. We wilden een verrassingsmenu en dat hebben we gekregen!! Het was heerlijk! Met liefde bereid.

Lekkere sushi, restaurant ziet er oud uit, kan wel renovatie gebruiken. Sushi is desondanks wel aan de prijzige kant. Service was vriendelijk. Zou hier vanwege de hoge prijs en het 'goedkope' restaurantgevoel niet weer komen.

Haal het al jaren hier en nog nooit een teleurstelling gehad. Altijd vers, redelijk ruime porties, fantastische inside out rollen ook en je eet bijna je vingers erbij op! Ook wel eens andere sushi restaurants geprobeerd, maar niet te vergelijken en/of aan Bento te evenaren. Als je een Sushi liefhebber bent, dan is dit de enige echte:-).

Muy buen sushi y buen personal. Recomendado. Prueba el salmón a mano. Gran calidad. Pequeño restaurante.

Houdt rekening met lange wachttijden bij het afhalen van sushi. Nog geen enkele keer meegemaakt dat het eten op het afgesproken tijdstip klaar was. Dat ongemak vergeet je echter weer snel als je gaat eten, want de sushi is voortreffelijk lekker.

Great food and staff. A bit scruffy

Acabamos de cenar en Sushi Bento. Es bastante acogedor, pero desde que llegamos temprano había suficiente espacio para nosotros. Los niños podían caminar. Personal amable, ambiente relajado. La comida se hizo al instante y de buena calidad.

Ristorante molto piccolo (una dozzina di posti a sedere) e molto tranquillo. Personale delizioso e cibo di qualità superiore alla media. Rather small restaurant (a dozen places more or less), very quiet. Staff absolutely delightful, and food quality rather above average.

Goede kwaliteit, niet duur, vriendelijk personeel: een aanrader dus

Zeer goede sushi. Vers, smakelijk en een zeer goede prijs/kwaliteit verhouding. Alleen geschikt voor afhalen. Het restaurant is klein en onooglijk.
