This is an undiscovered jewel for main crowd, but they have a loyal local clientele. Great genuine Indonesian food, great selection and amazing high quality.. a true pleasure for when you don't want to cook yourself.. Fully recommended..

Always a treat. Tasty food, nice crew. Meat and veg options equally good. Consider taking your meal out cold and heat it yourself. If you take the food out hot, ask to not nuke it for so long that weird things start to happen to (especially) the meat, where it becomes dry and tough.

Very tasty and affordable, large portions

Picked up yesterday at this store, what amazing food! Lots of dishes to choose from. And what a great price: I had nasi kuning rames for 11.50: yellow rice with 3 types of vegetables and 2 types of meat. I read in a few reviews about the unfriendliness of the employees. I don't recognize that myself: I saw employees who work very hard to help the many customers.

By far the best store in Leiden. Price-quality ratio ensures a weekly visit. In the meantime, the entire social circle has become regular customers!

Actually quite surprised this was rated as highly, the food was bland or used very cheap meats, none of the flavours were great and the shopkeeper was very unhappy. Wouldn't recommend this to anyone

Freshly made, big portions, foreigner friendly (English/foreign credit card okay, although it's a ritual you'll find out), and of course, really yummy. The main (rice/noodle) is so flavorful by themselves that you may neglect the actual dishes, which are of course juicy and delicious. We are only here for a few days but we've been here twice so far... Sweet tempeh and cashew chicken are ridiculously good, and chicken satay is better than most of the restaurants we've been to. You can't go wrong with anything. The counter service is very friendly. They'll heat it up for you if needed, or it'll be perfect to heat it up yourself in the hotel room(that's what we did). We ordered a 32 euro 2 ppl rice table, and the picture shows a bit more than half of the contents for the 2ppl rice table. We eat a lot, but 2ppl rice table + 1 person meal the next day was enough to get two of us to be in happy food coma for two days straight. Such a gem.

It's a great takeout place for Indonesian inspired food. For one meal, I would recommend the one protein deal. Go for the two protein one if you want leftovers. Either way the food is very tasty. It's located very close to the Leiden harbor. As an added bonus, the owner has a machine that processes credit cards issued outside the Netherlands.

We have been coming here for years to get the best Indonesian food in Leiden. Friends, family and acquaintances visiting us have all had a taste and are immediately sold. Cheap, delicious and above all always tasty. We come here often.

Atmosphere is less important at a takeaway restaurant. Ordered a rice table and it was ready at the agreed time. And the food was excellent. And my guests thought so too

Delicious ramen. Highly recommended. Stand in the kitchen preparing large pans with various dishes while you wait. Extensive choice. It's takeout only, so the atmosphere doesn't really matter. It always looks neat and the price-quality is still excellent

Altijd goed eten hier, variaties aan heerlijke gerechten en je word hier altijd vriendelijk geholpen.

Een kleine en grote rijsttafel besteld. Tevoren de keuze van gerechten doorgegeven en gevraagd of ik het warm kon ophalen. Het stond allemaal op de afgesproken tijd klaar. Echt top. En dat terwijl t heel druk was in de zaak. De gerechten waren heerlijk!

Eten genoeg, en smaak ook indisch, kroepoek gratis erbij , naar eigen keuze

Echt zoooo lekker. We waren in Leiden en kwamen deze toko tegen. We hebben een rijsttafel gehaald.Wat was dat lekker!!! De bakjes waren propvol ..de deksels konden er bijna niet meer op.. De volgende keer gaan wij zeker weer hierheen. Van mij krijgen ze 10⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Hebben vaker roti gehaald, altijd erg tevreden, meerdere mensen aanbeveeld, prijs en kwaliteit waren super. Maar vorige week 2x roti kip gehaald, begrijp prijs verhogingen, maar nu +/- €10,- voor een bakje roti i.p.v. +/-€6,-! Waar een paar stukjes kip in zaten die niet lekker waren. De Roti vellen zijn ook veranderd, naar mijn smaak minder lekker dan de ''oude'' roti vellen. Mijn mening, prijs en kwaliteit verslechterd, weet niet of er een volgende keer komt.

Twee avonden in de haven gelegen en beide avonden heerlijk eten bij de Toko gehaald. Goede prijs-kwaliteitverhouding en vriendelijk personeel. Aanrader!

De lekkerste Toko van Leiden. Het is een klein zaakje waar alleen afgehaald kan worden. Toegegeven, het ziet er allemaal wat rommelig uit maar het eten waar je uit kunt kiezen ligt netjes en verzorgd in bakken en is allemaal even smakelijk. De kipcashew is favoriet. De rijsttafel voor 2/3 of 4 personen is ruim bemeten, je kunt er 2 dagen van eten. Vriendelijke bediening. Ondanks de prijsverhoging goede prijs kwaliteits verhouding. Tips,.Zorg dat personeel er verzorgd (kleding) uit blijft zien. En probeer het kipcashewrecept van Toko Eddo in Voorburg te evenaren (of gewoon te jatten :-)), dan loop je zeker binnen, die is er namelijk groot mee geworden.

Super goede toko vooral om de Indische gerechten en ook wat Surinaamse gerechten. De prijs-kwaliteit is top en de porties ook. Ik kom er al jaren bijna twee wekelijks, echt een aanrader!

Ik ben gek op de Indonesische keuken, maar de kok van toko Haven lijkt zijn passie te zijn verloren.. De porties bevatten naar mijn mening teveel rijst, te weinig vlees (van matige kwaliteit) en mijn sambaleitje leek wel van rubber.. Verder was alles redelijk op smaak en staat er altijd ontzettend vriendelijk personeel, vandaar alsnog 3 sterren.

De slechtste eten die ik gegeten heb en ik ben echt fun van toko. Ik ben verbaasd over aantal posietieve erveringen die hieronder staan. Misschien was het toevallig een slechte dag van deze zaak. Hoe dan ook ga ik hier nooit meer eten halen.

Big portions, good food, exceptional good sateh. Very friendly staff. It is quite busy, that shows that people can appreciate good quality food. Prices are low. The value for money is amazingly good.
