Sushi- en grillrestaurant Izumi in Zandvoort Zuid

We made a reservation here because we wanted to go to an all-you-can-eat restaurant. Then we read some reviews and were quite shocked. The sushi was super fresh and the staff are super nice. Of course, you sometimes have to wait a little longer, but then you just shouldn't go there if you're in a hurry. We will definitely be back! ❤️

Great food and a cozy atmosphere! The service was also good and attentive! Outside on the terrace under the parasol it was very pleasant (and an excellent spot for people-watching!)

Unjustifiably quiet, the food is fantastic both in taste and presentation! The pink crunch sushi is highly recommended! Open on holidays too :) Wheelchair accessible. And there's a great play area for kids!

We had a fantastic birthday celebration at Izumi. The owner was incredibly friendly, the atmosphere was family-friendly, and the food was top-notch. We thoroughly enjoyed it. All our guests were very satisfied. There's also a great, large play area for the kids.

Although the sushi is otherwise excellent, these "microwave knights" are unable to get the food to the table in an acceptable time. Four rounds of only three dishes per person took 2.5 hours. And that was on a mere one soft drink and one coffee. Izumi, of all locations, is out of the question for me... Oh yeah... forking over €90.20.

It was the worst Japanese food I've ever eaten. Served in work clothes, children running around. Man and woman yelling at each other. And you have to pay a fortune for that. And the food was really bad.

We had a delicious meal, tasty sushi, delicious salmon, and friendly people. We will be back soon with the children.

The food was delicious, although we had to wait a bit, but it was fine. The kids had a blast in the play area. The waitress was friendly. The food was a bit pricey, especially for the kids who ate maybe 1.5 rounds.

I don't usually review restaurants, but this time I couldn't help myself. This meal was served to me today, and all I can say is, our dog's food looks and smells worlds better. Unbelievable. When I asked the waitress about it, she just thought it was funny. No wonder there was no one in the place. It was my mistake going in there.

We went for dinner in the evening. We were quite early, but that wasn't a problem at all. The service was super friendly. And the sushi was freshly made. No problem with waiting a bit. The food was absolutely terrible. We ordered takeout. The miso soup smelled absolutely rancid when we opened it. We tried it and immediately spat it out. The edamame were simply reheated and had no flavor at all. The only thing that was "okay" were the gyoza. A huge disappointment for a minimum order value of €30.00. A shame, especially on vacation.

It looks awful. There's no music, it's deathly quiet. There's a very messy play area in the middle of the restaurant. The toys make a lot of noise, it's uninviting. There's absolutely no one there, and the tables are scattered all over the place. Everything else is very awkward, and it takes ages to get anything. The only thing that was okay was the sushi. But it was absolutely not worth the price.

Great food for a good price. Friendly service. All in all, we had a great time.

The foods are great, the same as what other big restaurant is offering. Foods are cooked and made fresh. The staff are very friendly and its service are very fast contradict to what i have read in the reviews. We enjoyed our dinner. Such big and cozy restaurant should be full of customers. I strongly recommended to everyone. We almost didn't visit because of that very low review but we are so glad that we visited it. We would love to come back again once we come to Zandvoort.

Toilet cost €1 and could only be used in cash. Despite dire need, I had to pay in advance and the super rude owner did not allow me to first go to the toilet and then take €1 from the car, nor to pay by card. Incredibly long wait for a few small bites. (2nd round only came after almost 2 hours. The price is far too expensive for the small quantities. The whole store is also full of children's toys. No recommendation!

Do you want to wait forever for your cold food? Would you like to experience grumpy and fussy service? Do you have an endless amount of money that you no longer need? Then you've come to the right place at Izumi in Zandvoort! You won't get anything for your money here except sweaty palms and a red head. In an ambience all to yourself, littered with children's toys. Yes, you read that right. Nobody gets lost there, and rightly so. After we (4 people) chose the “All you can eat” program (for €34.50 per person), which was not all you can eat, we waited easily for 2 hours for the food in the second round. We ended up having to cancel and just wanted to pay for the food we ate. Unfortunately, the cold food came back warm after we received a bill for almost the full amount per person. This store is an absolute scam! The fact that this store has existed for so long is nothing short of a miracle.

Japanese restaurant in Zandvoort. Well, more of an Asian restaurant. Food fresh and quite ok. We didn't see the drinks menu, so guess what the drinks cost. I didn't like the ambience at all. The service was nice and always tried to understand our English or German. It wasn't that easy. The price is still reasonable, but all-you-can-eat is quite expensive at €35. Unfortunately only 2.5 stars, there is still a lot that can be improved here.

We didn't arrive until around half past eight. We could still eat, but no longer unlimited, but A la cart, which was very good. We ordered several dishes and had enough for 5 people. The desserts were very large and we shared them. The location is at the beginning of Zandvoort and there is ample parking space. Feel free to go there 😍 thanks for the good service

When I think back about the dishes I get goosebumps again. The color of the meat was not as it should be, and the portions were also not as we imagined. Instead of getting a piece of fried salmon, you get all kinds of small pieces of salmon in a layer of sauce. It looked like waste meat/fish that was reserved. It was therefore no surprise that several toilet visits during the evening and night resulted from our visit to Izumi. Do you want value for money? Please don't go here. We indicated that we were not very satisfied and did not finish / eat the second round of the 5 rounds that we were allowed to order. Because we didn't think the food looked tasty at all. Nothing was done about the criticism that we were not very satisfied, so it was a formal question "whether everything was as desired" because there was no intention to solve / improve it. Together with another table, we were the only tables there at that time and that on a Saturday evening.... When I asked the waitress if it was always this quiet, she indicated that they sometimes have a large group, but that it is indeed often so quiet. Now I understand why.... We still paid full price for 2 kids and 2 adults and the price for children of € 22.99 is completely out of proportion. In total we paid €137 for the food including 6 drinks (with 2 adults and 2 kids) I have eaten much better food for less money. We paid the receipt, but we didn't feel good about it at all. That's why we will never visit this restaurant again (if you can call it a restaurant)

Very friendly owner, unfortunately one customer. Ceiling was propped up. No explanation. Soft drinks and dessert are on top of the price. Spacious parking lot. Room very messy, full of toy tricycles, house etc. between the tables. The corner that was propped up was quite cozy. Unfortunately, it smelled a bit musty inside. Sushi was a smaller selection than we were used to. We will not return here again.

The food was fine, but it is not the best among these types of restaurants. We were served very nicely, which was really great. It is equipped for families with small children. They can play nicely while you are eating.

Only the sushi here was tasty and the gyoza. The rest of the food was just not tasty, chewy, tasteless and in some cases not hot. The price you pay for children to eat here is terribly expensive compared to the options on the menu and the quality of the food. The chicken wings looked like they had been sooted and tasteless. We had several tasted at the table because I thought it might be just me (everyone had the same reaction). Some dishes were placed together on the plate, so that your potato cakes soaked up the liquid from crispy chicken with pineapple sauce and became soggy. In addition, the temperature in the restaurant felt like a freezer and we were forced to put on a jacket to be able to eat normally. There is a huge play wall in the middle of the restaurant, which is great fun for the children, but looks very messy (also because of its size). The service was friendly but sometimes took a very long time. The person who helped us was also alone, far too little service. Very unfortunate, but we will never come back here again.

Ein sehr zu empfehlenswertes Sushi Lokal, wo man die Möglichkeit hat, all you can eat oder a la carte zu bestellen. Bei all you can eat hat man 5 Runden die Möglichkeit jeweils 3 "Gerichte" zu bestellen. Danach ist man wirklich satt. Das Ambiente ist etwas speziell da ein großer Bereich mit Kinder Spielzeug ausgestattet ist aber alles sehr liebevoll und familiär. Sehr nette Bedienung und toller Service. Riesiger Parkplatz am Lokal... was will man mehr! Auf jeden Fall empfehlenswert 😀

Heerlijk al you can eat gegeten. Het eten wordt vers gemaakt, is ruim voldoende en er was persoonlijke aandacht tijdens de bediening. Een echte aanrader!

A wonderfull vaccacion experience. the food is tasty and there are alot of difderent foods to order. super friendly staff. i can recommend eating here with ur family. the downside: its a bit expensive.

All you can eat, echter mag je max 5 gangen bestellen. Vervolgens 50 minuten moeten wachten tussen de 2e en 3e gang. Uiteindelijk na 2 gangen en 2u verder. We kregen te horen dat we nog een half uur hadden om snel te bestellen. Door de trage bediening maar 4 gangen max. Kunnen bestellen. Geen korting gekregen ondanks het feit dat we lang moesten wachten en geen kans hadden om 5 gangen te bestellen. We waren met 5 personen en moesten 220 euro afrekenen. Excuus was geen korting want we hebben het wel aangegeven??

Sehr nette Bedienung. Gaben sich sehr Mühe mit der Übersetzung und erklären . Essen 1 plus alles frisch zubereitet . Grosse Auswahl. Saubere Toilette. Für Kinder sind Spielsachen vor Ort. Ist kein Imbiss man schon sehr nett und üppig Speisen.

Komen hier meerdere keren in het jaar. 1 van de betere sushi restaurants. Je proeft dat het vers is en van goede kwaliteit. Bedienibg is altijd vriendelijk.

Heerlijk gegeten. Kwaliteit van het eten en vers staat hier bovenaan. Geen ordinaire vreetschuur. Vriendelijke bediening. Wij denken een familie bedrijf. Zeker een aanrader ondanks dat het zo rustig lijkt.

2 sterren, Het eten was prima, sushi ook wel lekker. Maar voor de rest was het heel koud. En het is in dit restaurant te rustig. En blijkbaar doen ze niet aan kindertarieven. Wij komen hier niet terug

Kachel stond uit, eten heerlijk

Het was steen koud, ik snap dat er in deze tijd wat minder snel de kachels worden aan gedaan maar helemaal uit laten is niet ok. Eigenaresse liep zelf te serveren in een dikke jas, kregen wel een dun dekentje maar zonder jas aan was het niet te doen. Eten was ok, maar het eten zelf was ook niet erg warm. Nee onder deze omstandigheden van het restaurant mag je eigenlijk geen gasten in je restaurant toelaten en had je dit ( ze gaven de schuld aan isolatie problemen) bij de reservering moeten aangeven. Nee voor ons geen Izumi meer, jammer

We zijn hier donderdagavond geweest, en hebben hier heerlijk gegeten! Alle gerechten zijn echt heerlijk. De pittige zelfs extra lekker. De bediening was zeer vriendelijk. We mochten onze honden meenemen naar binnen. Een absolute aanrader!

Das Beste Sushi was wir seit Jahren gegessen haben. Preis Leistung top. Personal super freundlich. Wir können jedem nur empfehlen hier essen zu gehen. Sollten wir wieder Urlaub in Holland machen steht IZUMI auf jedenfall auf unserer Liste!

Das Sushi war geschmacklich unterdurchschnittlich und die Misosuppe leider versalzen. Warum waren außer uns keine Gäste da?

Top! Kinderen kunnen binnen spelen. Eten is vers en goed. Personeel vriendelijk, werken hard, hebben meer bezoekers nodig met een groot pand na de covid sluiting.

Gelukkig konden we weer uit eten ..en meteen daar gedaan ..zo heerlijk en vers eten ..en meer dan genoeg ook de wijn is toppy ..snel weer doen of bestellen ..top

Merendeel van het eten was koud. Meerdere keren aangegeven en zou doorgegeven worden, maar helaas geen verbetering. Ook was het erg koud daar. Ook daar had de jongedame allerlei excuses voor die niet echt kunnen kloppen. Naast het raam tochtte het gewoon. Werd daarover gezegd 'meestal zeggen we dat erbij met reserveren'. Niet tegen ons. En dan nog de fiets bezorger die met fiets het restaurant door gaat... heel bijzonder En bij afrekenen nog een x sorry gezegd door de jongedame maar ze kon er niets mee of aan doen

Immer ein Tisch frei, auch spontan, sehr freundliche Bedienung, top Essen. All you can eat ist zwar genial aber es dauert doch recht lange, bis die Gerichte kommen. Wer Zeit hat, auf frisches Essen zu warten, sollte unbedingt hier Essen gehen. Preis/Leistung ist vollkommen ok.

Het eten kwam erg laat en het lijk of het thuis bezorg dienst belangrijker is dan de gasten die in de restaurant zitten echter is het eten wel erg goed vandaar geen 1 maar 2 steren.
