Sushi Koi Tilburg in Hoogvenne

We had a rare but bad experience yesterday with our group of 9 people. All evening, dishes, and once drinks, only arrived at our table 30-40 minutes after ordering. And we didn't even receive some of the dishes we ordered. We repeatedly asked if this could be improved, but to no avail. To finish off, another dish arrived half an hour later, just as we had gotten up to leave. A couple next to us also had to wait a long time for their food and, conversely, regularly received dishes they had not ordered. They even left angrily halfway through. It seemed as if the kitchen staff had completely lost their way. It is a real shame that, after years of positive experiences, things were so disorganized. Next time, when we are in the mood for sushi, we will look for a restaurant where the service is as you would expect. With attention to the guests.

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the sushi and the wide selection of dishes. The sashimi was great, and they serve one of the best miso soups I've had in a long time. The restaurant is also a nice and comfortable place to enjoy a meal. One small improvement point: the nigiri could be better balanced with less rice and a larger slice of fish. Overall, a great all-you-can-eat sushi experience that I'd happily recommend.

We had reserved for nine people, but in the end, there were eleven of us. Fortunately, they didn't make a fuss about it at all and simply added some extra chairs. As a result, it was quite cramped, but that is to be expected when you come with two more people. It also made it quite cozy and intimate. We were there on Saturday evening and it was super busy. I think all the tables were occupied. Ordering is done via a QR code, and that works fine. You can place a new order approximately every eight minutes. However, the dishes didn't arrive in exactly the same order. Sometimes we felt like we were still getting dishes from the first round on our third order. Because of that, a lot of dishes suddenly arrived at once at one point, and we got full pretty quickly. The food was very tasty. The sushi is a bit on the small side compared to other sushi restaurants I've eaten at, but it tastes just fine. They also have interesting meat dishes, including several spicy ones, and there is a lot of variety. The service was very good. There were a few staff members who I think had just started, but everyone clearly did their best. Clearing the empty plates could have been a bit faster at times. When we indicated that something needed clearing, it was done immediately. All in all, we had a delicious meal and it was a pleasant evening!

They don't have a huge menu, but what they offer is quite good. The sushi is fresh and delicious, and you can also find other dishes and stir-fries. We really liked this place, and it's not expensive at all. We'll definitely be back.

An Asian Restaurant with North Korean influences. A fun evening awaited me at Koi Tilburg together with my friends. It was our friend's birthday that day, and we thought the best way to celebrate was by immersing ourselves in Asian vibes. Unfortunately, in this case, it was North Korean vibes. This was mainly due to the service at this restaurant. For instance, we had ordered a set menu where drinks were included, but unfortunately, that was not the case. The North Korean influence became clearly apparent when they stopped serving us beer because we supposedly hadn't finished our drinks. To further annoy us, they started taking longer and longer to bring us our drinks. Unfortunately, we were unable to celebrate our friend's birthday as pleasantly this way, and we are certain that we will not be returning to this quasi-North Korean establishment.

Ended up here by chance and it exceeded expectations. Delicious food, generous portions, and friendly service. We were a group of 8 and everyone was very satisfied. Found another spot for when we are in Tilburg.

Good food, and they clearly make a lot of effort if you have an allergy. I will definitely come back if I am in the area.

The food wasn't bad, but there was too much mayo on the sushi. The appearance leaves a lot to be desired. The entrance is messy, there are boxes and cleaning supplies everywhere, and the toilet cover was broken so it was gone. In general, it all has a somewhat dirty appearance.

The worst place to eat, despite being in the best location in downtown Tilburg; this place needs to be shut down because it is full of dead rats while you're trying to eat.

What a fantastic experience at this restaurant on the Heuvelring. The food was truly delicious. The various types of sushi on the blue platter, in particular, looked beautiful and tasted wonderfully fresh. The hot dishes on the wooden boards were also perfectly prepared. As a refreshing finish, the drink with the slice of lemon and a sprig of fresh mint was a delicious choice. I will definitely be back here again.

The portions are very tasty, but do note that the less “expensive” options are also very large and salty.

We had a delicious meal tonight at Sushi Koi in Tilburg. The food was super tasty, fresh, and served very quickly. Empty plates were also cleared promptly, keeping the table tidy. The concept of all-inclusive food—and for a small extra charge, all-inclusive drinks—is highly recommended; it is easily worth it. Additionally, the staff is incredibly friendly and hospitable. We had a fantastic evening and will definitely be back!

Mediocre sushi especially when you compare it to sushi in Asia and just plain bad if you eat it in Japan. Half of the dishes are westernized and the rice was mushy and still warm. I will be trying dishes different places in Tilburg from now

Fine place, though quite tacky. The staff who just started working there are very friendly, but you can tell that the long-serving employees are doing their best to make a profit. Our phone clearly showed that there were still 3 left to order, so we wanted to finish with a final round, but suddenly that wasn't possible anymore because according to ‘their system’ it was different. If you simply want to eat a lot, come here; if you are looking for atmosphere, hospitality, or more, look elsewhere.

It has gone downhill terribly. The menu is very limited, the food is very greasy, and you have to pay extra for a lot of it. The service did their best, came to clear the tables every 10 seconds (but the food was just dumped right between your plate and yourself). We are not coming back.

Terrible service and an awful attitude towards customers. You have to wait ages for food, even though it is supposed to be served in 7 minutes. A lot of dishes are never brought to the table at all. In the summer, it gets incredibly hot near the entrance because they do not turn on the air conditioning. I do not recommend this place if you want to enjoy your food and the atmosphere.

Amazing place. Amazing food. The ordering system was a bit weird, at first. But once you get the hang of it, it adds to the fun Would definitely recommend it for all sushi lovers!

The food was tasty. Occasionally the servers mixed up the tables, which can happen. Otherwise, they were very polite. It is a shame how the ladies' restroom looked. It looks grubby; is it really clean? And the trash can in one of the toilets was falling apart. A good cleaning routine and replacing broken items would really elevate the overall atmosphere of the restaurant.

We've been coming here for years, family and friends. It's only going downhill faster. We had two rounds within an hour, and after half an hour, still no third round. So we decided to leave. 110 poorer. That's even though there are four tables inside. It was also the last time, and I definitely advise against it. Empty plates and glasses were also left behind. It wasn't cleaned up at all; everything was still standing there. The owner is often present and things run smoothly then, but not this time, and they just leave it like this for him. A real shame!

OH MY GOD I LOVE THIS PLACE WITH ALL MY HEART?? The staff was so nice and understanding even when we didn’t understand anything the 3d time—our food came fast and on perfect temperature. I love the vibe, not too overwhelming and not boring, the perfect atmosphere. I really like the system, how you have to pay for the food you didn’t eat to forecome wasting. Everyone was so kind and sweet, I’ve never seen such sweet people with smiles on their faces and i would definitely go every month if I wasn’t a student, such a wonderful experience!

This place is a real children's disaster. The table was filthy, I didn't have chopsticks (it's a sushi restaurant, you know). Then we ordered, and after 35 minutes, only one skewer and one piece of sushi arrived, even though we ordered 10 things. After that, the drinks didn't arrive until 20 minutes later, and we didn't get half of our food. Besides, the menu is really limited, and most things, like skewers, are served lukewarm to cold, even though they bring everything separately. I also got a mojito without any mint in it, and it's just not good! So, I won't be going back again. Hopefully, if you read this, you'll go somewhere else too, because this place is filthy and disgusting.

I go to Koi for the quality of the sushi, because I think the quality is good. When I eat out, I like to leave my phone at home. Unfortunately, you're required to actively use your phone here, otherwise you can't order anything. A real shame! Unfortunately, with this ordering system, things sometimes go wrong, and the order doesn't arrive complete. But hey, what comes out of the kitchen is delicious!

TLDR: We will not be returning, that is clear. Tilburg has much better alternatives that offer significantly higher quality and respect for your money. Look elsewhere. This restaurant is unacceptable considering the price. Expect to pay a minimum of €50 per person for extremely low quality and poor service. This is insulting value for money. KEY REASONS: Fish quality is not acceptable at this price. - The fish's texture and smell suggest a certain kind of mass supply chain. If you know anything about raw fish handling, you will notice the low standard immediately. "All-You-Can-Eat" pricing model is scammy - The average €40 price point forces you to pay extra for almost anything beyond basic rice-filled, fried items, and simple nigiris. You pay a premium for what is expected to be very basic menu items at these prices. (and even then do not expect acceptable quality for the price) Service is very low quality, even for the area.. - We had two different waiters clean food smudges off plates with their fingers after placing the food on the table. DISGUSTING. - Tables were cleaned with dirty and smelly rugs (not just ours.. our neighbors complained of the same) - Staff is unprofessional, service is minimal and robotic, and clearly managed to keep labor costs as low as possible. Atmosphere is hit and miss.. Do NOT go here for a quiet or romantic meal. The restaurant's policy seems to be "pay and anything goes" so your evening can be nice and quiet or you can find big tables of tipsy youngters that take over the whole restaurant with their shouts.

On Saturday, my wife and kids ended up at Koi last minute. Because we wanted to eat something before the concert, we chose Koi. We had a drinks menu included. We were pleasantly surprised by the food. It was very tasty, and the food and drinks arrived quickly. Empty plates and bowls were quickly cleared. All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. If we're ever in Tilburg again, we'll definitely eat here again.

After not being there for a few years, we spontaneously went back for dinner after we finished exploring the city. The restaurant has been renovated and looks beautiful and stylish. The food is, as we were used to years ago, top-notch again. They've even added Korean touches like buns and kimchi, which is a great addition! We had a delicious meal and a pleasant, spontaneous evening. The service was excellent, very professional and friendly, and everything went smoothly and quickly. We'll be back soon!

Our first course had a bone in it. We immediately returned it without an apology. When we paid, we pointed this out again, asking for compensation since it had spoiled our appetite. We were laughed at and told that nothing could be done about it. WE WILL NEVER BE COMING BACK HERE AGAIN.

What a fantastic customer service! I can't say more about this restaurant. There was one guy in particular who really stood head and shoulders above the rest. I don't know if he owns the restaurant, but he served us incredibly well. Nothing was too much trouble, and everything came to us quickly. We had a great meal and enjoyed a long and fun dinner. The €10 all-you-can-drink was also fantastic! Especially because the cocktails were included. I'm originally from Tilburg, but now I live in the Randstad. The only thing I can say is that the Randstad could learn a lot from the vibe and customer service! The only thing that was a bit disappointing was the sushi. The flavors could be better, and so could the quality. But overall, it was fun! Thank you for my great birthday diner party!

We ate here before the performance at the music venue. Luckily, we managed to snag a table without a reservation. It's an all-you-can-eat concept with no limit on the number of rounds, as long as you're seated within the 2.5 or 3-hour timeframe. Delicious plum wine, a wide selection of delicious sushi. The prawns are superb! Orders were served quickly. For 10 euros per person, unlimited drinks are highly recommended 👌

We've been here several times now, and we keep coming back. The all-you-can-drink option is great for €10, unlimited drinks including cocktails. But the main reason we come back is the pan-fried tenderloin (number 101).

I really wanted to like Koi Sushi, but the experience was underwhelming. The sushi itself was just okay, especially for the price. I was expecting much higher quality to be honest. On top of this, not being able to have a personal water bottle on the table-a bit ridiculous. The staff were quite nice, but the overall value for €37 was simply not there. I don't think I would recommend this. I really don't get the 4-5 Star reviews for this place. Are there these people have never had very good sushi or they have just never had dragon sushi. 🤣

You're in tilburg for tourisme, this is definately not the place to eat. Food is salted, prices just too high, for someone who knows asían food you will be desapointed. There is no transparacy on the prices and you will never get for your money. I dont recommand. Save your money!

We first ate sushi here 20 years ago. The food, service, and atmosphere were excellent. Now, 20 years later, because we'd been married for 36 years, we went back again. How much can change after 20 years? The service was terrible, there was no atmosphere, and it wasn't exactly clean anymore, and the sushi selection was limited. And compared to other sushi places, the price wasn't cheap either. Too bad! Hopefully, they'll learn from this review.

Voor het eerst hier gegeten en zitten pas op ronde 3, maar wat een top restaurant tot nu toe! Het eten is lekker, de service is snel, het personeel vriendelijk en de porties zijn ruim! Ook mijn vriend die niet van sushi houdt kan hier goed terecht. De actie "All you can drink" sprak ons erg aan, goede toevoeging aan het concept. Wij komen hier zeker vaker terug!

Dit was jarenlang mijn favoriete sushirestaurant in Tilburg, maar dat is over. Je kunt alleen nog bestellen door middel van een QR code, dus als je met een grotere groep bent zitten mensen steeds op hun mobiel te staren. Indeling van de menukaart op de telefoon is onlogisch, dus je zit meer te scrollen dan iets anders. Ook kwamen niet alle bestellingen kennelijk door in de keuken. Kaart is gehalveerd. Nooit meer terug, helaas.

ONCE WE ARE SERVED, THE WAITRESS APPROACHES AND TELLS US THAT IT IS MANDATORY TO TAKE ONE DRINK (CARBONATED) PER PERSON. (INCLUDING CHILDREN). MANY DISHES ORDERED NEVER ARRIVED!!! AND TO CONCLUDE THE STAFF FIGHTED WITH EACH OTHER IN FRONT OF THE CUSTOMERS!!!! 🤗 €150 in total!!!!

Just one thing folks. I had a delicious meal here for the last time with my daughter on her birthday on April 26, 2022. Before this date, it was even one of the best sushi restaurants in the Netherlands (certainly for me, if you have eaten real sushi in Japan). I went back the following year and it had completely changed, sushi was of supermarket quality and service was lacking. I gave them the benefit of a doubt and came back here (for the last time) in early 2024, never, ever again. Quality is hard to find, service was poor and everything has shrunk in size by half. You now only get half of everything on the menu, sushi maki, nigiri rolls, the side dishes, even the piece of salmon from the grill plate you put in a hollow molar, and the worst of all was the lava cake, a lava cake cut in half. , less than half of what you normally got. My daughter Dad: why do I only get a small piece compared to last time?? try explaining that to your child. Sushi Koy, is a mess!!! I walked past Koy this summer in Tilburg and thought we'd go to Mo-Jo restaurant a few doors away, what do you think? Exactly, but exactly the same as Koy. I won't be surprised that this is from the same owner, or even so, a mess!!!

After a day at Efteling, the day ended here with a delicious meal. We had a delicious meal with five people. Friendly staff, food comes at a nice pace, everything tasted delicious and fresh. Super fantastic that the steamed buns are back on the menu! The inari sushi was also great, like a pocket on the rice as it should be, and not stuck with seaweed like many others. The all-time favorite is and remains the baking tray, really delicious. We are from Amersfoort ourselves, but if we are in the area we will definitely come back here. Thank you!

We have been coming to Koi Tilburg for years. We even drive there specifically. All the while the food is excellent and the fact that the sashimi is all-in is an absolute plus. We notice it immediately when the cook in the kitchen changes/is not there. That's a shame. The sushi is consistently good. The quality has been a little less lately. Manager is a nice guy who does his best to give everyone a nice evening.

Nice atmosphere, delicious food. It took some getting used to for us newbies, but it quickly went well with ordering via the web app. Food comes nice and quickly. Surprising dishes of very good quality. Something for everyone. Recommended for another visit. Compliments

Sushi is fine, not excellent. That quality used to be better. The difference is made with the high-quality meat and fish dishes. These include original ones with a delicious and fresh taste. Run…. Very bad fusion Asian food combined ... Everything is terrible and salty, and even extra money is needed. （嘢飲都要加錢點好意思叫自己放題？） Don’t come here to suffer. It‘s better to buy sushi in the supermarket, at least they are cheaper 😭. The rice of the Sushi is dry and firm like a stone, with a taste of cheap vinegar. The soy sauce is very salty and has no flavour at all. Wasabi have to be ask for separately, obviously fake and very dry. Sashimi taste like fridge, also with the temperature… I didn’t expect the quality as good as Japan, but it‘s way too bad. 💔💔😢 The fried rice are exact like microwave food. The sweet bun and other snacks, like teriyaki chicken skewers are also like reheated frozen food. The salt of the soy beans is sprinkled on the surface, with no flavour inside. Salad worse than the one from AH. Bok choy is fine but not the Shanghai flavour. Longan is canned. Crème Brûlée - also just grab from AH. 🙁 The only thing okay is the service and toilets, but definitely not worth suffering with the food. And the price😅😅😅

Vanavond heerlijk gegeten bij koi Tilburg. Ontzettend vriendelijke baas/eigenaar legt alles duidelijk uit. Het was ontzettend druk maar alles werd vlug uitgeserveerd en alles was even lekker en vers. Bediening ontzettend aardig en zegt ook duidelijk wat er wordt neergezet op tafel. Wij zaten heerlijk bij het raam. Qua bediening sprong er 1 met kop en schouders bovenuit en dat is kelly- linn ontzettend aardig, vriendelijk en behulpzaam een aanwinst voor de zaak. Maar ook de eigenaar/baas erg vriendelijk en aardig neemt echt de tijd voor de gasten. Wij komen zeker nog een keer terug.

Hoy fuimos a almorzar con nuestros padres a este restaurante y con la esperanza de mostrar el concepto de todo lo que se puede comer y de calidad, lamentablemente toda la experiencia fue arruinada por la gente de la caja y la señora sirviendo comida, muy mal servicio , esta camarera esta literalmente tirando comida sobre nuestra mesa y ni siquiera tomando los platos vacíos, fue un desastre por todas partes. Una mala experiencia y pagamos mucho por todo esto. Estoy sorprendido de leer que hay comentarios negativos sobre el servicio todavía hay gente que va aquí, no puedo creer que tantas quiebras están sucediendo debido al servicio al cliente y este restaurante no se preocupa por el servicio. Realmente decepcionado con la camarera que arruinó nuestra comida y nuestro día. Tenían un trabajo para hacerlo correctamente y eso no era posible. Nunca visitaré y no recomendaré.

We picked up, the service was friendly, sushi was only ok, nothing special.

Today we went for lunch with our parents to this restaurant and hoping to show the concept of all you can eat and quality, unfortunately the whole experience was ruined by the people at the cash counter and the lady serving food, very bad service , this waitress is literally throwing food on our table and not even taking the empty plates, it was a mess all over. Such a bad experience and we paid so much for this all. I am shocked to read there are negative reviews about the service still there are people going here, can’t believe that so many bankruptcies are happening due to customer service and this restaurant doesnt cares about the service. Truly disappointed with the waitress which ruined our food and our day. They had one job to do it correctly and that was not possible. Will never visit and not recommend.
