Looking for a place for lunch, we stumbled upon Swegg. Surprisingly delicious and fun🐣. Delicious sandwich with egg and other tasty toppings, with a variety of options. We opted for the sweet potato fries from the menu, which were nice and crispy. Friendly service! Highly recommended.

We had breakfast here on Saturday and really loved it! Everything was freshly made and you can taste it in every bite. The egg roll was soft and full of flavor, and the crispy potato pancakes were absolutely perfect. A lovely new place with great food and a cozy atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit!

Very tasty egg sandwiches, a wide menu to choose from... Great coffee as well! I went there for breakfast and ordered the fromage sandwich, full of flavour! Great option for either breakfast, lunch or dinner. Great atmosphere, very clean. The owner is very friendly!

After eating at Swegg's several times, it's finally time for a well-deserved review. It's clear, it never gets old with this attentive and friendly service. I once again enjoyed my fresh egg sandwich (Crispi) and the tastiest sweet potato fries (Sweet 'N Cheesy Fries) ever. It's also getting more and more inviting. There's now a beautiful collage on the wall that speaks for itself. See you soon, guys!

I ate at Swegg Leiden for the first time today, and what a great new concept! I had the deluxe egg sandwich, which was delicious, freshly prepared, and very filling. There are plenty of variations and choices, so there's something for everyone. The staff is very friendly and welcoming, which also creates a great atmosphere. Perfect for a quick, yet tasty and nutritious lunch. I'll definitely be back!

A really great place. I had a delicious meal there; the bacon power wrap was truly exceptional. I didn't expect it at first. I definitely recommend eating here. The service was also excellent. The people were friendly and helpful. Very satisfied.

Finally, something different than the standard hamburger bun. A not-so-standard egg sandwich. I had both the Swegg Crispy and the Original Power Wrap. Completely different in flavor, but both super delicious. I'll definitely be back!

Filling, but not heavy. Because you don't eat meat, it's a great food if you don't want to slump. Perfect for after two hours of exercise. Recommended: Original Power Wrap: Spicy, Warm, and Super Delicious!

This location has been open from 8:00 AM since this week (even on Saturdays, which I found particularly convenient). Highly recommended. You'll be pleasantly surprised by the quality of the products AND the friendly staff/owner.

Really recommend this place - I came here for breakfast every day while I was in Leiden because I liked the food so much. I talked to the owner a bit and it is clear that he really put a lot of thought into the flavours. I had the original, the deluxe and the sunshine and all were great!

You guys, I was at the absolute sweggiest place ever today. The food was delicious. We had the fries and they were about €6.70. There's a super cute little egg at the entrance; it's like a baby🐣🐣🐣🍳🥚. I give it a 10/10!!

Holy crap! I was at this spectacular restaurant, and my mind was blown! Jam with egg? Just fine! 6, 7? Just fine. Because nobody here gives a hoot. They really need to add mango, mango, mango, matcha!

5 out of 5 eggs on the sandwich – Swegg is the king of egg buns 🍔 We were looking for a quick snack in Leiden and ended up at Swegg – and folks, let me tell you: This wasn't a snack, it was a revelation! The brioche buns with egg... a culinary declaration of love to my stomach. You won't find anything like that in Germany – here you not only get a fried egg on top, but also a reason to emigrate to Leiden. 😅 The service? Simply competent and friendly. And the ambiance? Urban, cool, a bit hipster, but in a charming way. 😎 The bottom line: If you're in Leiden and don't try anything at Swegg, you haven't truly experienced Leiden. We'll definitely be back!

First of all: the worker at the counter was an abosolute sweetheart! Super friendly and we had a lovely little chat even though I’m usually quite shy when I’ve never been somewhere before. He really did the most to make it fun and to make the egg sandwich delicious. As for the Jellow egg sandwich, I walked 25 minutes home before I ate it and it was still absolutely delicious! Interesting combination of flavors that was balanced very well. Can only imagine how good it would’ve been if I would’ve eaten it immediately at the store - next time for sure!

Really good food. Liked the whole concept of making burgers with just eggs instead of meat patty (you do have the option of adding bacon if you want) which most of the time leaves you too full. But their dishes shall leave you filled but not feeling like you ate too much. Also good variety in the menu. Definitely recommend this place :)

Went there for their original with bacon. Food was great and the coffee was nice. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would visit again next time I’m in Leiden. It is conveniently close to the train station and is walking distance to most attractions.

Something different for a change, you could call it an egg burger. On a nice soft bun, tasty and freshly made. Super clean with a fresh (egg) yellow interior and a friendly owner/staff. The hash brown was also delicious and nicely presented. Maybe open at 10 am instead of 12. I'd suggest taking advantage of breakfast time, as there are several hotels nearby.

Physical location newly opened on 01-08-2025. Great concept. Instead of a meatburger patty, you get eggs. Makes the meal much lighter and of course Protein! Due to them just opening, expect to wait a bit as they are still setting up their routine. Worth a try if ur in Leiden as its just outside the station.
