You really have to try this place: homemade cake, delicious coffee, and friendly owners. The garden is a picture-perfect spot with lovely seating in both sun and shade. And every now and then, a boat sails by.

We had a school assignment where we had to find out what the contents of the golden building were. We also had to take a photo of this and the owner of the Golden Apple came out. He gave us information about the street and the building. My father also had a beer tasting here and thought it was excellent. My mother had high tea here and also loved it. Compliments for the staff and hospitality.

Today we chatted and enjoyed it with friend Andries. The interior in moody colors of 't Gouden Appeltje was striking, as if I had been encapsulated in 'a time machine' and launched from the heat and contemplative Appingedam to a place of tranquility, no background music, only the occasional voices of the workers and the visitors. I imagined myself for a moment in Belgium, possibly France in a café where the guest is a guest, occasionally asked about our wishes, and we were still in Daam. Finally the world, possibly even the Dutch, seems to have discovered Appingedam? A Frenchman preceded us, and our friend Andries served the François in Französian on his way back, while we sighed in the warmth and discussed our daily worries. But is the question simple, not only?

Delicious Apple Pie and Mint Tea. Nice along the Damsterdiep on the water. Nice service!

This lovely cafe has so much soul. Beautifully decorated, lovely owners and good chai latte served with joy and care. Highly recommended if you make stop at Appingedam. Thank you!
