Good lunch, good prices, fast service and a nice, authentic building.

We had lunch there again this afternoon. The owner was surly; the two of us were seated at a small table just 20 cm from a table on the left and one on the right, so it was very cramped. It was busy but not full, very hot and noisy. Cappuccino without a biscuit or anything similar, one with a footbath (which was dried somewhat, though). The tartar sauce was fresh, the hot meat was tasty. Sandwiches were presented in a basic/unkempt manner. Bella Italia: the sandwich was airy inside, the crust was rusk-hard. Impossible to slice. Fell apart. The filling tasted decent, but was meager. It cost €16.50! Incidentally, extras are offered when ordering, which, if you check at home, would cost quite a bit extra. (With ham with the last-mentioned sandwich, for example, the sandwich would have cost €19!). When guests leave, it makes quite a noise from chairs being slid right next to you, and then the staff goes over it all over again when clearing up. You have absolutely no idea that there are still people sitting there having lunch, for what we consider to be really too much money for the food and service provided. It used to be good here, but from now on, we will be walking right past.

Ordered a ham and cheese toastie with pineapple on a brown casino roll, but it was a dark brown roll with seeds and kernels and very dry.

I went here for brunch. The service was very quick and efficient. Weather permitting, you can sit outside on the boat. Everything was really good, and the prices were reasonable. I'll definitely be back! Dogs are welcome.

Like all of Holland, it's expensive but good and clean. Just a short walk from the center.

This place is too much expensive, I have never seen this is my life. The English breakfast was 26 euro. We got grilled bread instead because it was cheaper and it was burnt. Just a half of a cherry tomato on the side and that is it. I ordered tee and no honey or lemon with it so I pay 3,5 for a tee bag only, it’s ridiculous. It’s not even in the central Amsterdam. If you are a traveler do not come here.

I've been coming here for years. The staff is usually nice and attentive. I've never had a bad experience. Sometimes I see a serious look on the staff's faces, but that can happen to anyone. I like the food, and that's what matters 🤩

After a quick TripAdvisor search, we found this restaurant for brunch and it did not disappoint! The building itself is beautiful, but the outside seating is even better! We were seated on their patio, which is a boat on the canal. My husband and I each ordered a delicious beer, and sandwiches. The sandwiches were MASSIVE! and so delicious. The bread was so yummy. I had the ham, egg sandwich with sun dried tomatoes and lettuce. Definitely recommend if you're passing through Zandaam.

Whenever my husband and I visit Zaandam, we stop here for lunch. First of all, because it is simply a very nice and charming location, and furthermore because the food is good and the service is always friendly. As far as we are concerned, it is highly recommended.

A quiet place for breakfast. Avoid opening time as they don't take the time to serve waiting customers. The staff are more focused on preparing everything for a smooth opening than on serving customers who arrive right at the start of the day... It's a shame because the setting on the boat is lovely.

Just never do this again! The reception is already extremely unfriendly; you might expect customer friendliness to be a top priority for the owner of this establishment, but unfortunately, that is not the case. He even openly snaps at his staff! Okay, then the lunch: country bread with roast beef. No country bread at all, just slightly thicker sliced ​​white bread. The roast beef from the catering butcher was actually quite good, but there was no butter, so I asked for some and received a tub that had completely melted; inedible. Price/quality ratio is downright scandalous. The hot meat sandwich was reasonably okay. All in all, and certainly due to the owner's behavior, a very disappointing experience. Just don't do it!

Ordered 2 omelets at the green building Tasted delicious, only a small glass of fresh orange juice €5.50 smells like theft, a shame, the perfect omelet left a bitter aftertaste. And very cramped seats, you sit with your elbow practically in your neighbor's food.

I am very disappointed with my visit to this restaurant. Upon entering, I was not greeted with a welcome, and a staff member was very rude to me from the start. Her attitude made me feel completely unwelcome. I even felt that I was being treated differently and discriminatorily because of my background, which ultimately led me to walk away without eating. I found this very painful and disappointing. I hope the restaurant looks into this seriously so that other guests do feel welcome and treated with respect.

What a lovely afternoon I had here. The atmosphere on the Gedempte Gracht is truly fantastic, and it feels very relaxed to sit there. I was particularly impressed by the presentation of the food. The tiered stand looked beautiful, and the mini burgers were a real treat. Everything tasted fresh and prepared with care. This is definitely a place to remember. I will certainly be back soon for another round.

T’groene Pandtje, Zandaam: For the sweetes, most twee seats in Zandaam, look for the white boat seatings on the green canal. Come summer, it’s converted into a sweet people watching deck overlooking the green waters. Get Dutch classics such as pancake, borreljes. #eatstylishtravelstylish

What a lovely surprise in Zaandam. Upon entering, we immediately received a warm welcome and enjoyed the cozy atmosphere. The restaurant has character and feels well-presented without being stiff. The dishes were beautifully balanced, fresh, and presented with care. It was especially nice that the menu incorporates just a touch of creativity without feeling forced. The service was attentive, friendly, and efficient. A place where people clearly work with passion. We will definitely be back.

I ordered a double espresso and a flat white coffee; a plain cup so there was no cookie with it. The flat white was poorly prepared, the double espresso looked like a single one topped with water and had no crema layer. Then it was time to pay, a shock: 10 euros. That wouldn't be a problem if what was delivered had been good, but it's a shame. I won't be going in here again.

While traveling in the Netherlands, we made a detour to Zaadam. An impromptu stop in this wonderful place where the welcome was warm and the food was delicious and very generous!! Definitely worth the money! 👍🏽😁

We had a delicious meal and a good laugh here. Our children were very late, and the owner handed the bill to my son-in-law with the words, "You were last, so you get the bill." My son-in-law didn't really find it funny, but we did.

This appears to be a serious mistake or overcharge.I cannot recommend this place. Customers should double-check the amount before paying.‼️

Reservations can only be made by phone, but unfortunately, that turns out not to be a pleasant experience. You are served by someone who is completely unfriendly and seems to have no time to handle a reservation properly. That makes it unnecessarily difficult to book a table at all. Perhaps it would be a good idea to invest in a user-friendly online reservation system. We will not be coming back here.

When we arrived for lunch, they immediately set up a table for seven, and the staff was so kind and friendly, even bringing us the menu written in Italian. This obviously made everyone very happy, as this is rare abroad. We ordered chicken, not sandwiches, but I must say it was very good: tender, excellent quality, and with a truly delicious sauce. The sandwiches we saw being served at other tables looked inviting.

Grabbed a quick lunch on Saturday. The place was quite busy, but you wouldn't know it from the service. It was fast and very friendly. During the meal, another waiter asked if everything was to our liking; where do you still find that these days? The food was fine and arrived quickly too. Definitely recommended!

We don't come to Zaandam very often, but sometimes we go to the Saturday market and always have lunch at t' Groene Pandje. That's because of the atmosphere, the service, and especially the quality of the food. And then I also forgot to mention the service, which is truly excellent with a personal touch. We'll definitely be back next time.

The atmosphere is nice, but very overpriced! A small beer is already around €4 (20cl), and an aioli sandwich for €6 is literally one scoop with two dips. It's nicely decorated and has a great atmosphere.

We needed a place to eat and it was pouring hard that day. Saw this place and we went inside. The interior is so nice and cozy. I bet its a favorite among natives because the inside is packed with families! I ordered soup and it wass sooo gooooddd. Price is very affordable and the food is worth to try. My friends tried the sandwich and it was also good. Crispy outside and flavorfull.

On Sunday, October 26th, I celebrated my 70th birthday with 38 people (friends and family) with high tea at Het Groene Pandje in Zaandam. Each tiered serving was for 6 people. We started with savory snacks: 6 small cups of mustard soup, 6 bitterbals on a piece of baguette, and 12 mini wraps: 6 with meat and 6 with salmon. Then came the sweet portion: 6 scones with 1 jar of jam and 1 jar of whipped cream. On the bottom tier were 3 cream puffs, 3 macarons, and 3 mini cheesecakes. So, we had to decide who wanted a macaron, a cream puff, or the mini cheesecake. Oh, and there were some blueberries and small pieces of strawberry on the tiered serving stand for those who wanted them. Come on! And that for 30 euros per person! Tea was refilled regularly. The service was friendly and quick. Nothing to complain about. No more high tea here!

And the pancakes only came out after I finished my drink... lol What are they trying to do? And there was a spider web hanging from the powdered sugar container. Two people came and ordered two drinks and one pancake, but they only gave me one fork lol When we asked for another fork, they made a shit-eating face and didn't understand the language, so they started sarcastically saying "solo solo" among themselves. When paying, they deliberately didn't speak English but spoke in Dutch. When we didn't understand, the employee behind us snorted and said "English, English" lol The taste, portion size, service, cleanliness... And racism, it's a five-in-one combo... If possible, stop chatting and go eat in Amsterdam. There's nowhere else to eat here... Please...

This place is very nice to sit down with friends. The view of the city is very beautiful, staff are friendly and prices are great. I didn’t eat anything, but next time I go there, I will do. I saw the dishes next to me and smells very good. I recommend going there!

We read all the great reviews and were happy to have lunch on the boat. I ordered the Chickylilly and when I got it, it was very tasty (sauce/dressing) but I couldn't find any chicken. I opened the whole sandwich and there were a few tiny crumbs and no pulled chicken. When we asked the waiter where the chicken was, she pointed to the crumbs and said that's the chicken. I ate the sandwich thinking that was normal and paid our bill, but as we were leaving the next person got the same sandwich and it was filled with lots of chicken (overfilled)! My wife and I were pretty upset and don't know why we didn't get any chicken (not many Americans eating here at the time so we thought we were targeted for being American). We liked the meal but felt very upset when we saw other sandwiches compared to ours. My wife really liked her club sandwich, it was very good and tasty. We don't usually complain but we were furious at how my meal was compared to others
