't Koffiehuuske in Wijk 36 Welten-Benzenrade

One of my favorite spots in Heerlen. I stop by often; the service is always friendly and the food delicious. Just good old Limburg flavor. Yesterday I had a delicious Salade Niçoise, generously filled as it should be—keep that one on the menu!

Nice place. Good food. Nice terrace. Suitable for walkers.

Students are not attentive. They are only in it for the money. Not social. I would much rather have an older person who knows how to serve.

At the back, there is a surprisingly nice and quiet terrace. I had an omelet, a coffee, and a Rivella. It all tasted delicious. The service was attentive and friendly.

Great location for a nice meal or drink

Open until 10:00 PM on Mondays, but that doesn't mean you'll get a drink if you arrive at 8:20 PM, because ‘the bar has already been cleaned’. Hospitality in 2026!

Very cozy brasserie. The food is tasty but not exceptional. The atmosphere is snug.

The coffee is from Blance Dael, a crowd-pleaser delicious cookies to go with it (Arretjes cake), truly something special also just water to go with it the location is also pleasant on the edge of a nature reserve, parking can be tricky (bring a parking disc!!!) and the location itself is also very atmospheric and cozy highly recommended to visit sometime, the menu is also super good and the food looks well-presented we sat outside in the back and the service was a bit slow and we had to go inside to get attention

This is absolutely my favorite breakfast place in the Netherlands. The cakes are delicious and the atmosphere is so chilling! I would just give the menus to the guests when they are directed to the table, the waiting is too long just for order

Had a coffee break here for an appointment. Upon entering, I found a very noisy environment. Many people inside. There is also a walking area nearby, which is why many people come here specifically to take a moment to relax. Ordered coffee with a cookie cake. It was served not too long after. Both tasted good. Summary: In my opinion, it is a very noisy establishment. I wouldn't go there to eat to enjoy a tasty meal. But this is, of course, my personal opinion.

Very busy and never any space; if people get up outside, the tables get reserved and people from inside come and sit outside.

I tried to give an average rating across all my visits, but unfortunately, I STILL got a 1 = still! Recently = Went to dinner on a Monday and got white bread instead of the dark bread I requested. Then the server said, "Yes, 1 white and 1 brown." I only got 1 thin slice of white bread. So even worse; I got 1 slice too few. The cheese had mold on it, but it was supposed to be salty? After a long time, I got a new slice of bread and long after that, cheese; then, of course, my egg was cold. So, everything was wrapped up. When I paid, I was asked if everything was to my liking. Unfortunately, it wasn't! Previous times = The owner was always curt and downright rude in her communication with customers and staff. You have to have thick skin to survive the first round and make it past the door ;) Personally, I think I deserve €8.30 for 2 hot chocolates and stag cream in 5 minutes. Table service was a good average, but perhaps she thinks differently? (pointing a finger outside... we could only sit there; everyone else was reserved for Saturday at 11 a.m.) That COULD certainly be true. But they could also just say that normally, since we're not the housekeepers, but the customers. The customer isn't king or emperor here, but an unnecessary luxury that apparently isn't a priority for paying her bills. We'd like to drink our own tea from now on in "even" cold surroundings again; but in an environment where we're welcome! P.S. = if someone asks for the whipped cream separately and it ends up in the chocolate milk and squirts over the edges, please don't ask if that's "also" okay. Why do you think someone specifically asks for it before ordering? That's doubly rude in our opinion. They know, but then they still bring it up under the guise of??? No parking available. Young, but friendly staff. My last visit after this third time of this kind of treatment. ______________________ 1 year ago; Yum, yum, delicious breakfast. A few years ago, it still had salmon. But; I didn't miss anything, and I believe it's cheaper now too. €10 is a good price for all these delicious things. It was VERY cold in there. Spacious restroom. Parking in front is free for one hour with a parking disc. Friendly service. Homemade cookies with coffee or hot chocolate. Super cozy. Some places could use a bit more cozy lighting.

We had lunch here yesterday, and the service was excellent. I had a croque monsieur, which was delicious. Made with thick slices of bread, but I personally found the crust very thick and hard, making it difficult to cut and eat. We were there around noon, and when it's packed, it can get quite noisy, making it a bit harder to hear each other.

We were looking for a vegan restaurant and discovered 't Koffiehuuske. Very tasty vegan food and friendly staff. Unfortunately, some tables were in dark corners; we would have liked more lighting, but we were able to change tables. We'd gladly come again.

We ordered satay with fries, and the fries were clearly fried three or more times and hard. There were also several bad fries in the mix. The satay was tough, and my partner ordered chili con carne and received a tiny pan of chili con carne with a few fries and a lot of lettuce. Afterward, we tried to order dessert and asked for the menu. After that, there was no response asking if we wanted to order anything, so we ended up contacting the staff ourselves. The children's ice cream was mostly whipped cream and almost no ice cream. I've been here before, but I've never experienced anything as bad as this.

Cozy but very busy. You can sit on the terrace, but the heaters weren't on and it took far too long for service to arrive, so we sat inside. The cappuccino was truly delicious with a slice of arretjescake, and the flan was fresh and generously sliced. It's a shame about the terrace; I would have preferred to sit there, hence the 4 stars.

We sat inside in the back. The food and service were excellent, nothing to complain about. All the tables were occupied, which resulted in a cacophony of noise. Unfortunately, we couldn't have a conversation. It was so noisy we nearly got up. Such a shame.

A nice place to enjoy a quiet cup of coffee. They have several specialties to choose from. The toasted sandwich was also delicious! It's a bit noisy for a digital meeting, but that's normal in a lively atmosphere. I had a great time working flexibly there!

Had a nice meal with the whole family.

Today, November 3, 2025, on our way back from our vacation, we stopped here for a cup of tea and pie. Upon arrival, almost all the tables were occupied, mostly by breakfast guests. Most of the available tables were already reserved for lunch, but we were able to order coffee or tea. This was quickly arranged. Our order arrived quite quickly, despite the crowd. We were blown away by the cherry pie with whipped cream. It was a fantastic slice, so big and... delicious. It's no wonder "t' Koffiehuuske" is so busy. We'll definitely remember this place for lunch or dinner the next time we're in South Limburg.

Just a nice, relaxed bite to eat with family. Delicious dishes prepared with care, the mussels are delicious. The atmosphere is friendly and pleasant. Nice and busy without being too noisy. Good draft beer and fine wines available by the glass. The price-quality ratio is absolutely excellent.

Een geweldig restaurant op een prachtige locatie. Super uitzicht. De keuken is voortreffelijk. Grote porties. De menu en drankenkaart is zeer gevarieerd. Vriendelijke bediening. Het is een echte aanrader. Wij zijn binnenkort weer aanwezig op deze idyllische plek.

We were super lucky to stop at this wonderful restaurant on a bike ride. The coffee was delicious, the beer was tasty, and the strawberry ice cream was amazing. My brown bread was top-notch.

Chicken ragout was not worth €13.95 to me. There were a lot of mushrooms in it, but it's called chicken ragout and then there should be more chicken in it than (which is cheaper) mushrooms, there were 2 small cubes of chicken in it, the rest some strings. Absolutely not worth the money. There is even more chicken in a simple can from the supermarket.

Recently I had a farewell lunch at Het Koffiehuuske with a valued colleague, as a thank you for the pleasant cooperation. Booked in advance and received warmly upon arrival. The service was professional, friendly and very attentive. The lunch menu offered a nice variety of dishes. Both the generously filled pulled chicken sandwich and the classically prepared fried egg sandwich were of excellent quality. An atmospheric location with an eye for hospitality. Definitely recommended for a tasty and well-prepared lunch.

We waren met z’n tweetjes en namen een rode huiswijn ( de serveerster zei dat ze geen huiswijn hebben alle wijnen waren dezelfde prijs) nou ja prima… en mijn man nam een 0/0% Radler, Hier moesten wij 12.20€ voor aftikken. De wc’s zijn al een jaar aan reparatie toe de deur van de dames wc sluit niet en de andere wc mist de afdekplaat van de watercloset. Er lag veel papier en rommel op de grond, en de zeep was op. Nadat ik dit vermelde aan de medewerker van t Koffiehuuske reageerde hij nogal nonchalant. Voor ons geen “ t Koffiehuuske “ meer, sterk achteruitgang al meer dan een jaar.

Nice and always cozy, but too bad that the menu changes so often. Coincidentally, the dishes that I like to order are always taken off the menu. I miss the breakfast burger!!

Despite the good experiences in the past, it was very disappointing this time. On the first day of Pentecost, I had breakfast with my husband, son and daughter-in-law. My daughter-in-law chose the pancakes with blueberries, my son the luxury breakfast and my husband and I the regular breakfast. So we all had pancakes. They were put on the table completely burnt. At first I thought what is this but after tasting them (they smelled and even tasted burnt) we decided to say it anyway. The young lady from the service came and said oh yes I will take them back. A minute later she came with a few new ones that were almost as burnt and said: these are a bit better 🤣 First of all, when she brought the breakfast, she should have said in the kitchen: I can't serve this like this. Secondly, my daughter-in-law had pancakes with blueberries and got the burnt regular ones back (because there were two good ones in the pile. We had to pick out the bad ones🤣). And then also say: those are a bit better🤔we just cut off the black pieces of the newly brought pancakes, looked at each other laughing and decided: this is not repeatable. I would have said: sorry something went wrong in the kitchen, you can get new ones but then you will have to wait a while and bring them all new ones that would have been service and we would have understood that because where work is done mistakes are made. But don't take it with you and then offer something like that again. Very unfortunate😒

Nice place to eat, sit after or before walking, biking, running...or just because you want to enjoy yourself!

Cozy restaurant both inside and outside. In the winter heated covered outside terrace. You can stay there well food and drinks are great! My favorite is the fish salad or the onion soup. Always a basket of bread with tasty spreads is served beforehand only with food. Changing menu so you don't always get the same menu.

Had lunch here today. Now eaten. Salmon salad sandwich, the bread was rock hard, the crust was completely dried out. The salmon salad was stone cold, the middle of the salad was so cold it felt like it had chunks of ice in it. After something was said, the only comment was that I will pass it on to the chef. Nothing at all about any compensation. Through a drink. Clearly only interested in making money and not providing any service. Would skip this one.

This is my favorite place in all of Heerlen and the surrounding area. Super tasty, very friendly service, never makes a fuss and the best cheese cake with the tastiest cappuccino 🙃

Had a nice lunch at 't Koffiehuuske. Atmospheric location near the Zuyderland in Heerlen. It all looks well cared for, the staff is friendly. In short, a nice place for lunch.

You can eat here all day long on the terrace and inside.

We stopped for lunch along the way. Lots to choose from, large portions, well prepared. What was also nice, super fast service. So we were on our way again in no time.

A gem near the hospital in Heerlen where you enjoyed as a walker, athlete, family or, like us, a family circle! With every coffee you will be served a wonderful homemade cookie cake (see photos) Whether you order a croquette, a meat platter, fish platter or an omelette: everything is well taken care of and fresh. The food tastes excellent... the service is not too quick and lazy, they prefer to chat with each other rather than asking us for drinks or clearing the table.

You can sit there comfortably, the service is friendly and also quite fast despite the crowds. Croque monsieur was unfortunately a bit hard. Other than that, top there.

Lovely eetcafe with enjoyable outdoor area with pastoral view. Menu is quite rich and delicious. Two times there and they have kitchen staff shortage in both. Since we enjoyed nice weather and they explain by apologizing, we didnot care much. Burgers are especially delicious with generous portions.

The food was delicious and cozy again.

We had lunch together and both ordered a Huuskesburger, one of which without onion. However, both burgers came with onion. When I pointed this out, the onion was simply removed and the burger returned. Unfortunately it still had onions on it. I mentioned this to an English speaking waitress. As she walked to the bar with my plate, she removed the onion with her fingers. I spoke to her about this and indicated that I found it unhygienic that she was touching my food with her hands. I insisted on getting a fresh hamburger without onion, which had not been touched with bare hands. Finally, a friendly young man brought me a new burger. I expressed my dissatisfaction with him about his colleague. Later, another employee came to tell me a story, partly because the English-speaking waitress was upset about my complaint. I have always found this place nice, but the service, friendliness and quality continue to deteriorate. You can no longer complain if your order is not to your liking, and imagine that you will be confronted for unhygienic behavior. Bah!

Had a nice meal here in a beautiful restaurant

We were four people. The food was absolutely fine. We didn't have a starter and that was a good thing. It was more than enough. Two of us had the fish: rockfish. Well cooked and delicious crispy vegetables. My wife had 'knees in the zoer'. The fourth person had a deer stew. None of us had anything to say about it. And then the desserts: heavenly mud, which was really heavenly according to my wife, and apple cake with ice cream and whipped cream. Delicious. Afterwards I almost exploded. What a nice dinner. The only downside was that we were at the back of the place and there was a rather noisy large group. We couldn't actually have a conversation without adding to the noise ourselves. But we will definitely go back!!

The food is delicious, the Huuskeburger is also highly recommended and the people there are super nice, a really great restaurant.

I thought I'd try a salad with mackerel, salmon, shrimp and crayfish, and I must say I was pleasantly surprised. Super.

Nice restaurant to eat. Were with a group and had made a reservation. There were fewer people than agreed and luckily they handled this well. Dishes were tasty and filling. More than enough choice.

We ate here on Boxing Day with the family (lunch), it was beautifully decorated. Staff very friendly and food was tasty, especially on those busy days. Very beautiful and nice location to have dinner or lunch or just a cup of coffee.

Long waiting time unfortunately

Vandaag gaan lunchen daar met een vriendin. Ze kwamen steeds vragen of we nog iets wilde drinken en steeds kijken hoever we waren met eten, tot het irritante aan toe, voelde me erg opgejaagd en kreeg geen hap meer door mijn keel, ik heb een maagverkleining gehad en kan niet veel of snel eten en ik had het nog gezegd ook tegen een meisje daar. na een uurtje kwamen ze vragen of we wilde gaan betalen want ze hadden onze tafel nodig, ik wist niet wat ik hoorde, wilde nog even naar de wc maar een wc kon je niet op slot doen en de andere wc bleef heel lang bezet dus ben ik maar weggegaan, al bij al wat een gezellige lunch had moeten zijn was een erger uurtje geworden, mij krijg je daar nooit meer naar toe.

Saté met frietjes viel erg tegen. Vlees erg droog en veel te gepeperd gekruid. Voor twee personen een kleine portie mayo. Een extra kleine portie mayonaise kostte 95 cent. Jammer 🙁 frietjes waren lekker

Service was good and friendly, even during rush hour. But what really deserves praise is the food, the most delicious Croque Madame I have ever eaten.

I only had a cappuccino here. Nicely decorated...so I can't say anything about the food. Nice staff and nice atmosphere..

Had dinner here on the recommendation of acquaintances. Steak and veggie burger for main course. Steak exactly as requested and of good quality. The veggie burger was also tasty, almost tasted like meat. Served with a nice red Italian wine. For dessert we had Eton mess and very Barry (raspberry cheesecake with sorbet ice cream). Delicious in a word. I said goodbye with a satisfied feeling. Service was young and attentive. We will definitely come back here again.

Tijdens een mooie wandeling hier heerlijk op terras gezeten. Het was gezellig druk. Wij namen een latte macchiato. Deze werd geserveerd met een heerlijk huisgemaakt koekje. De latte macchiato was prima. Het was mogelijk om te kiezen voor sojamelk of havermelk maar hiervoor werd een supplement gerekend van € 1,10. Dat er wat meer gerekend wordt is prima maar dit vonden wij wel vrij veel. De menukaart zag er ook heel goed uit, wij hadden geen tijd meer om er te gaan eten maar gaan het volgende keer zeker doen.

I chose the vegetarian burger, but .... with the meat burger and real cheddar. Well, he was the first customer who wanted that. A few questions later, there it was. It was delicious. Recommended!

Ik heb hier samen met mijn vrouw gegeten, het was een echte ervaring, om nooit te vergeten. We bestelden een portie nachos met cheddarchees als voorafje, toen deze arriveerde was de cheese verbrand. Deze verbrande kaas verwijderd omdat verbrande kaas niet echt lekker is, vervolgens was de rest wel te pruimen. Toen de serveerster vroeg," heeft het gesmaakt " hebben uiteraard de verbrande kaas vermeld, en ze heeft gezegd ik zal het doorgeven. Tja. Vervolgens kwam het hoofdgerecht bestaande uit een salade tonijn en een salade pittige kip. De tonijn zag eruit alsof hij uit de diepvries kwam met perfecte vierkantjes van de grill en zo smaakte hij ook, een blik tonijn was beter geweest, in ieder geval niet mooi rosé maar grijs en on appetijtelijk van binnen, de pittige kip was niet pittig maar verbrand, dan proef je uren daarna nog in iedergeval de kip zeker door de vebrande gecarramalizeerde uien en verbrande cashewnoten met papprige salde. Dit bij het afrekenen duidelijk gemaaktaan de caissière, deze deeld mee, had dit maar gezegd dan hadden we wat kunnen doen, maar ik was er klaar mee. De kok had dit gewoon nooit mogen uitgeven en zo mogen klaar maken, dit zegt iets over de keuken en bediening die je dit niet moet voor zetten. Al met al een zeer slechte ervaring dit restaurant laten we in het vervolg links liggen.

This is a really great place for onion soup! Definitely recommended. With regard to other food, we were quite disappointed, especially in terms of price and quality. It is quickly put on the table and is visible or raw, tough, and on the meat you can see dry spots as if it has been pre-fried and has been left for too long and then reheated afterwards, no, we will just stick to the onion soup from now on .

The name "Eetcafé" is actually too simple for their tasty, well-prepared meals! Worth repeating, there are restaurants that cannot match their standards!! The Orzo was delicious, highly recommended
