Food was fantastic, service top, very attentive!

Very small pieces of apple pie for a high price. 1 bite is 1 euro.

We would like to come here more often if the restaurant is more comfortable. Place beautiful round tables with comfortable chairs, and as a guest you will be happy to dine there longer. And that crazy bar immediately removed; create an open cupboard against the kitchen wall and place a much smaller/lower bar. That makes it much more spacious. And then thoroughly sweep the broom and brush, the fireplace in sight and preferably in use. This can also be translated into the menu: offer a nice menu that will fill an evening of dining. We would be happy to join you again :-)

Nice terrace, but expensive; 2x pastries, 1 (small cup) latte, 1 tea, total €17.70. My friend in particular, who is used to German portions and prices, was shocked by this.

Dropped by again on this beautiful sunny day. Sunday March 9. Always looks good & cozy. Top location directly on the Dwingelerveld. From the camper field at the back to other enthusiasts who were enjoying a delicious meal outside on the terrace. And yes, definitely plan to visit the terrace sometime. See you then! Delicious lunch in a historic spot. Due to a large group, we called in advance and the table was ready upon arrival. Service excellent and tasty pancakes and sandwiches. Nice cycling/walking stop!

Very cosy and historic place to eat and drink. Easily reachable from the highway by car. The lunch menu is simple (think tosti or soup or ciabatta) but good enough for us and not expensive at all. Recommended!

Wonderful evening out at Het Oude Posthuus We had a great evening at Het Oude Posthuus. From the moment we walked in, we received a friendly welcome and immediately felt welcome. The restaurant has a relaxed and cozy atmosphere, exactly what you hope for a nice evening out. The food was fantastic. Every dish was delicious and prepared with care. It was clear that a lot of attention was paid to the flavors and presentation. We even had the chance to have a quick chat with the chef, who also turns out to be the owner. His passion for cooking was clearly evident, which was beautifully reflected in the dishes. What makes this restaurant really unique is that you can stay overnight with the camper at their own place. Ideal if you come from further afield and would like to enjoy an evening out without haste. The area also offers plenty of opportunities for wonderful walking and cycling. A nice location to stay for a few days and fully enjoy the peace and nature. A tip: check the opening hours before you visit, so that you can be sure that you can enjoy this culinary offering. We will definitely come back here again!

Delicious food. Each plate looks like a work of art. Nice staff, not pushy. The atmosphere is fine. Small-scale, cozy. Beautiful property in a quiet area.

Very small mediocre menu, not much choice. Well good. Service mediocre, our waitress didn't even know which village it was where she works. RIVM guidelines are applied, but if you want to pay and you have to wait a while and you step into the kitchen, you are told that that is not allowed. Then make sure you find that one and a half meters yourself... near the entrance there were 4 tables with chairs that you have to pass between to enter. 1.5 meters away.... oh yes, and the chickens and roosters walk freely on the terrace. That's also where they do their business... when you're just having a nice meal...

Beautiful old eatery where many years ago travelers on horseback or by carriage stopped between two cities. Inside, the old building from that time has been well preserved.

You can sit here under the trees and enjoy a delicious pancake for €11 or a salmon sandwich for €12. Other than that, there isn't much on the menu. They have plenty of beers from €4, wine €5. Too bad there isn't an omelet, croquette sandwich or something similar. are on the map.

This afternoon with 2 people on the terrace, we both ordered a cappucino and an apple pie. The apple pie and the cookie with the coffee tasted good, but we both found the cappucino from the Fingerprinted brand weak. We indicated this to the waiter and we both immediately received a new one. Here's the positive part. Unfortunately, we also found the new coffee too weak. At checkout and beforehand, we were not asked whether the coffee tasted better the second time. Too bad a missed opportunity for the coffee brand and the restaurant. The cappucino contained 2 sugar cubes instead of a bag of sugar. Cappucino requires little or no sugar. One lump is quickly too much and is difficult to dose. When you stir a lump, you immediately lose some of the foam layer. Tip. Give a sugar sachet with the cappucino.

Unexpectedly “landed” in this beautiful restaurant. Still, a very friendly welcome and a seat inside. The choice on the menu was quickly made and I did not regret it. Old-fashioned, but appreciated attention from the owners. Tip: the pesto taste of the pre-dinner sandwich suffered from the excessive amount of salt. In short, highly recommended!

Also 20 stars. Absolutely beautiful, small restaurant with a great chef who conjures up the best dishes on the plate. Super friendly service, good wine selection. We were on the motorhome parking space that belongs to the restaurant. It is also wonderfully quiet. Sanitary house clean and enjoyed a nice warm shower for 50 cents. Clean and tidy. Perfect for walking our dogs. We'll definitely be back. We haven't eaten so well in a long time.

As a spoiled eater, I highly recommend this restaurant. Super tasty food and perfect service. What else do you want. So don't just take a detour, make it a destination. I stayed behind it with my camper, but you can also spend the night here.

I have rarely tasted a better bavette. They also did something special with the white beets. Super!!

Beautiful stopping place with plenty of space for campers. Where once in the sixteenth century the stagecoaches between the east and the north of the country could change horses. Now an attractive restaurant with an excellent menu (tip: the buttery tender pork cheeks from the monastery) and a very hospitable reception in the taproom.

Het lijkt een simpel restaurant, maar leer je de kok kennen dan zie een bedreven mens die zijn best doet om het iedereen naar de zon te maken, en dat lukt ook.

Gezellige hisorische plek om 's middags iets te eten. De mosterdsoep en de tosti mozzerella waren erg lekker.

Het was een geweldige plek om heerlijk rustig te eten en drankje te nuttigen met vriendelijk personeel... Kok kwam even snel praatje maken en vragen of alles naar wens was... Ik kom zelf uit provincie Utrecht en kwam hier voor de nodige rust en vriendelijkheid van de mensen... Alles was echt toppie en sloot de vakantie af met een etentje in dit prachtig restaurant... Uitstekend restaurant gelegen tussen Pesse en Ruinen (in het gehucht Anholt) in een prachtig pand en voorzien van een mooi terras waar het goed toeven is. De sfeer is heerlijk ontspannen op een fantastische locatie. De gerechten zijn heerlijk en worden mooi opgediend. Het enige dat ontbreekt is aandacht voor vegetarisch eten, verder alles fantastisch! Het bedienend personeel is zeer vriendelijk. Wat ons betreft een absolute aanrader.
