We had a delicious meal. Good service and a nice location.

The food is delicious! Only, we had to wait almost an hour for our food. The host kept walking right past us; we had to call someone over or they wouldn't come. And when we asked where our food was, they were at the table within five minutes. The food was also cold!

The food was delicious, but in such a place, you'd expect well-trained and friendly staff. They didn't really look at you, had to pass drinks themselves, didn't say "please" and just walked away. Normally, that wouldn't be a problem, but as mentioned before, you'd expect that in a restaurant like this.

Super delicious dishes. Some could have been a bit better. Some of the fish was a bit too dry or the stew meat didn't fall apart, but those were just minor issues. Overall, it was just very good. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was very pleasant.

The restaurant looks cozy and the staff is friendly. The food was delicious, plenty of choice! Sometimes you have to wait a little longer for your food, but it was very busy, so you know it can take a while. That wasn't a problem for us.

The restaurant and atmosphere were absolutely fantastic. I usually go to the Rotterdam branch, and for good reason, because Rotterdam is much better. The service in Breda is a nightmare. Our order was forgotten several times, so even ordering drinks was a struggle. The food took an incredibly long time. 60 minutes for two dishes, and that meant you're sitting at the table for almost four hours... We left in a huff and went elsewhere, and other guests complained furiously too!

We had a wonderful (Christmas) evening. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was wonderful. There were so many delicious dishes on the menu that it was a bit hard to choose from all the delicious options. The service was also excellent, and the icing on the cake was that we were spoiled with all sorts of lovely surprises.

The atmosphere is good, a bit crowded and noisy. Nice atmosphere, they have seasonal products. I was skeptical at first. When I read the reviews, I read that the service was rude and the food wasn't good, but that's not the case at all. We were there very early, so there was hardly anyone there, but as the evening progressed, it became increasingly noisy.

We recently dined here on a Sunday with friends. The food was delicious, as we've come to expect from 't Zusje, but the service was disappointing. Our table was forgotten about for drinks, and after the third round of food, we had to wait a very long time each time. We also ordered Winter tea, but the glass had a large crack in it. After pointing this out, we received a new one. We then ordered another, but it arrived in the exact same glass with the large crack, so unfortunately, nothing was done about it. We mentioned this to the staff at checkout, but they were again quick to address it. Staff at the table were sometimes difficult to understand due to their soft voices.

Note: Edit added: We had to wait a really long time for our dishes. We also indicated in advance that we had one pregnant guest, and we had to ask twice for a modified menu. We felt like (some of) the staff didn't really care. We eventually got the "pregnant menu." But these dishes arrived much later, or not at all. The quality of many dishes is also poor. It's a nice place, but the speed and service are truly awful. The service itself is really nice, but the system simply doesn't work here. We've visited several of their sister restaurants, but this one is much worse than the others. Edit: After complaining, a "manager?" came and offered us a suitable solution. This doesn't change the fact that the quality remains poor, BUT... the solution offered was polite and accepted!👌. For now I'll leave this one up, come back another time, and if it's good then I'll praise you to the skies and remove it 😄✌️

Shit, being served a measly snack every 45 minutes. And then, when you're fed up and leaving, they dare to ask for the full price. After complaining about it, they knocked 30 euros off the price. I had to go to McDonald's to avoid driving home hungry. NEVER AGAIN.

Everything was delicious: I wouldn't eat here with just two people, but it's more fun with a group! We waited about 20-25 minutes per course. We ordered 6 courses with a group of 6 from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM.

A very interesting place worth visiting. I recommend the Bourgogne Genieten option (around 40 euros), which allows you to try 14 different mini dishes, meaning seven rounds of two courses. It's best to order two more courses while you're getting the first two, so you don't feel like you have to wait. The food is delicious, depending on your preference. Nevertheless, it's a good opportunity to experience a storm of flavors 👍

This is our second, but last, visit; we were hesitant the first time. The time between rounds was quite long. We had a Flemish-speaking "host," but he wasn't too keen on us. The food was quite salty, and you'd want to drink to that, but the service was completely absent. You'll never see us here again.

The restaurant offers decent dishes, without any real standouts. The flavors are fine, but nothing particularly surprising. The service was quick and friendly, although it must be said that it wasn't busy at the time. All in all, a fine place for a meal, but not one you'll remember for long. Ideal for large groups.

The staff was friendly but gave us things to pass around the table instead of walking around the table and serving drinks ourselves. Recently, we dined at Zusje Breda with 13 people. It was terrible! We waited an hour and 75 minutes for a dish (Italian pasta) for a 7-year-old boy. And that's what we call a Burgundian meal. The plane from Rome was probably delayed! Remarks to the manager about this were not appreciated, and it even degenerated into a very unpleasant atmosphere. Our lactose-intolerant daughter was offered a sjoom three times, while she requested a lemon sorbet with juice. Enjoying a Burgundian meal in the hospital? We asked for salt twice, and after 20 minutes, it was dumped on the table. Our 11-year-old granddaughter was handed hot bowls and burned her fingers. The waitress only had to walk a meter, but that was already too much and too tiring. Later, after written and phone contact, the chef didn't seem to care: "There are far worse things in the world," she said, "and she didn't want to argue with me and hung up!" The franchise owner called later and thought it wasn't so bad. He had reviewed the camera footage (?!!!!) and found our behavior less than appropriate. He offered €84 in compensation. At Zusje Breda, the host is king, not the guest. Fortunately, we've had good experiences at Zusje Kurhaus, Rotterdam, Terneuzen, Deventer, Eindhoven, and Nijmegen.

Food that should have been hot was lukewarm or cold. And meat was dry. It seemed like everything had been microwaved.

On July 19, 2025, we visited this branch of 't Zusje in Breda with a group of 13 people (including children). What should have been a pleasant evening ended in a series of mistakes and disappointments: • The manager reacted defensively and unfriendly to our complaints, without any attempt at dialogue or resolution. • The service was curt and showed no interest in customer experience. • To make matters worse, I was served a dessert containing lactose three times, even though I had explicitly stated that I was lactose intolerant. This is not only unprofessional but also downright dangerous. • Dishes arrived incomplete, incorrect, or in the wrong order. We often had to wait a very long time. My son had to wait an hour and fifteen minutes for his first dish. • Hot dishes were passed between tables to my children, which led to dangerous situations. • The overall organization was chaotic, and the quality was clearly lower than at other branches of 't Zusje. To top it all off, only minimal compensation was offered today: a dinner for two without drinks, while the entire group suffered negative consequences. We're not usually one to complain, but this restaurant failed on several fronts – in terms of safety, service, and customer focus. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend this establishment.

Not going to visit again. With the unlimited menus and offers it looks like a good deal but the sizes are small and there is no flexibility to combine food together. The waiter also didnt know what he was serving, he couldnt name the tapas we ordered so we didnt know which plate belonged to who.

The food looked well-prepared and appealing, but unfortunately it was very salty, which made us quite thirsty later in the evening and night. The service started off smoothly: the first two rounds our order was picked up quickly, but then there was a long pause of about an hour in between, which meant that our visit lasted about 4.5 hours. The atmosphere in the restaurant is cozy and inviting, but the air conditioning was very cold, which made us sit at the table with goose bumps. All in all, the experience was disappointing for us, and we will not be returning anytime soon.

In itself a pretty funny concept; all you can eat sushi, meets tapas, meets regular dishes but smaller. Dishes are fine but not exceptionally tasty. Due to their size they also cool down quickly. Service is exceptionally friendly and helpful. The interior is hip and stylish, it looks clear and clean.

We already love the concept of 't Zusje, not all locations are equally good. But this one in Breda is great and in my opinion one of the best. It has a nice atmosphere and is spacious. You do have to take into account larger groups on weekends that can be quite noisy. But you can still have a wonderful dinner there for 2 people. The dishes are all great and unique in taste. Everything is prepared with love and you can taste that. The service works incredibly hard and ensures a wonderful experience, a big thumbs up for them. Drinks are of a normal price, you can also buy this off. But then you have to go more for the drinks than the food.

We only reserved an hour in advance. When I checked in, a personalized allergen card was ready for my tomato allergy (which is not one of the standard allergen cards) Each dish has a neat little skewer with an exclamation mark, so that it can be seen that it has been adjusted for the tomato allergy. (See photo) We are still enjoying our meal here. And I wanted to write this positive review before we forget. We will definitely come back here!

Very tasty food, only it was a pity that 1 person in particular spoiled the atmosphere a bit. The young man with the Flemish accent was rather grumpy and short, we thought that was a pity. Furthermore, all the servers and employees were very nice!

After a long day in Belgium, we made a reservation to eat at 't Zusje Breda. We drove about 1 hour and 15 minutes especially for this. Once inside, we were seated at a table and completely forgotten about. Our "host" stood at a table with 2 ladies for exactly fifteen minutes chatting. After that fifteen minutes, in which new guests had already been given drinks, we were noticed by someone else. He came to our table, apologized, took our drinks and told us that his colleague (our "host") would come to us. However, this did not happen, because the man was not at all busy with new guests. After another 15 to 20 minutes of waiting, we still did not have our drinks on the table. In the meantime, 40 minutes later, we got up and politely thanked the "service" and left the restaurant. After an hour's drive, finally home, we unfortunately had to order pizza. What was supposed to be the end of a fun weekend, was completely ruined. We look forward to a solution. Until then, no more sister for us 👍🏻

Hospitality today: small plates with even smaller dishes. Everything is heavily spiced, so that you keep drinking. So there is always someone nearby to refill the drinks. Waiting for the next round takes a long time, the service does not know what they are bringing. The quality of the food is meh, little taste, and everything is covered in a sauce with too much pepper. This is a textbook example of what is wrong with the hospitality industry today, it is no longer about hospitality and quality, but about pushing all products that have the largest profit margin. Not recommended.

Had dinner here with a group of 15 people. 2 snacks per person per round. Excellent quantity. Smooth service, kitchen works quickly. Food is of okay quality, not super special. Drinks are served quickly. With many large groups it can quickly get noisy here.

Last night we stood in front of a closed door with 9 people. Only a notice on the door that the restaurant will reopen sometime at the end of January. Just checked call history. Turns out that sometime in October (reservation made in September) I had a missed call from an "abroad" number that I didn't recognize. Apparently it is very difficult to try to reach someone more than once. Also very difficult to send an "old-fashioned" text message if it doesn't work out. If they have my cell number to call, a text shouldn't be too difficult either. Fortunately, we were able to go to Tafelen in Rijsbergen at the last minute. Always very fun and tasty, but not a full evening and we had that in mind with the family gathered for Christmas. When I now hear that it is because of a renovation, I wonder which idiot is doing the planning there. After the holidays would have been a better period. 2nd time that we have something for Christmas at 't Zusje. Don't think I can convince the family to celebrate Christmas there again

The Brabant branches of 't Zusje are doing well and so is the one in Breda. Smooth service, concept as you are used to and dishes that are nice and hot.

Booked last year on December 25 for Christmas Day 2024 with 7 people. Today we were told that it cannot go ahead due to a power outage and renovation. It's a shame that this was reported so late. A power outage is okay, but you will know about renovations before a week and a half before Christmas. And furthermore, there is no longer a sister that has room for 7 people.

Yes, honestly. I never eat here, but it is convenient to navigate to the guarded bicycle shed. I'm deducting 2 stars because I'm disappointed that I had to find my way more often than I dare to admit.

A disappointment, I often visit other branches and my experiences there are really different. Food was lukewarm or cold, a vegetarian dish turned out to contain bacon (probably the wrong dish was put on the table), and when we spoke to the waitress about it she said she didn't know that and that it was a new dish. Then one of her colleagues brought the correct dish. Also a pasta dish that was cold, with some kind of cheese biscuit on top that was so hard you couldn't get through it. Very sorry. We thought we would have a nice afternoon, but alas. We didn't really feel welcome either. No more sister Breda for us, just back to Oudenbosch.

The food is delicious and neatly presented. We didn't have to wait long for the food to be served per round, although we never received the sandwiches we ordered. In addition, the location is nice (parking garage nearby) and the building is nicely decorated. The service is one point that could be a little better, I personally think. We were kindly received by the host and led to the table. There was nothing to complain about during dinner, but after that no one came to check on us for at least 45 minutes. We were also a bit hidden behind a plant, so speaking to someone was not easy. When someone finally came, we asked for the bill. This also took, in our opinion, a very long time and we went to the host ourselves to pay. I thought this was quite a shame, as I have never experienced this before at 't Zusje. This may have been a snapshot, so it certainly won't stop me from coming to enjoy the delicious food again!

Eating at 't Zusje completes a weekend away. Cozy atmosphere and extremely friendly staff. You will not lack anything. The food is truly fantastic and prepared with care. I can only praise!!

't Zusje in Breda is located in a beautiful and stately building, with beautiful high ceilings. However, in our opinion, the lighting could be one setting less bright... that would make it just a little more atmospheric. We had a delicious meal and the dishes were prepared with an eye for detail. A compliment to the kitchen brigade. The wait staff is also very friendly and customer-oriented. A real and worthy Sister experience.

Me and my friend were on table 50 and we had such a great time. The two men who mainly helped us were top notch in their service and made our evening a good but wonderful one. Thank you very much, really great and definitely recommended
