't Zusje Gouda in Binnenstad

There were two of us and we paid €115. The food really wasn't good. Things that are supposed to be warm were cold. The buns were baked so hard you could smash someone's head in with them. The meat was very dry. The cauliflower bites had a salad that seemed to have come straight from the freezer. It really had a freezer taste. The gyoza were very soggy. I wouldn't recommend the loaded nachos to anyone. They tasted like there was something toxic in them. My girlfriend and I really couldn't finish them. I am an easy eater and like everything, but for the first time in my life, I experienced that there are inedible things. For the price, that's really not okay, of course. We won't be going here again.

The food was really mediocre and way too expensive. We sat there from 6:30 until past 10:00. We ordered a total of 4 rounds. Everything went wrong. The dishes were sometimes large, not very warm, and tasted bad. The place was really dark, making it difficult to read the menu, and we couldn't really see what was on the table. All this for €43.80, excluding drinks. I had 3 Cokes on the side and ended up paying €59.80. Way too much for this rubbish quality. Next time, I’d rather go to La Cubanita or Heinde. Never again to 't Zusje.

We opted for a set menu of 3 to 4 dishes, and this was sufficient for us. There was a wide selection of different tasty dishes, so there was something for everyone. We found the food flavorful, and the service and atmosphere were top-notch!

Had lunch here. The service was poor; there was no spontaneity whatsoever. The dishes were also disappointing. Just a selection of the dishes: - orzo without broth and overcooked (leftovers from yesterday?) - shiitake rendang was very strangely bitter - bun that is supposed to be steamed had been in the oven (and was therefore rock hard) Oh yeah, there was also a really long wait between courses even though it was super quiet. We weren't asked if everything was to our liking. So that's why I'm just leaving the feedback here.

A very cozy tapas restaurant. Nicely situated in the heart of Gouda. A wide variety of tapas: meat, fish, vegan, vegetarian, and delicious desserts, all in tapas size. The staff's explanation of how to order the tapas is very clear. The staff is very friendly. Parking is available in the Q-park parking garage 300m away. Highly recommended.

We were sitting on the terrace at 9:30 PM on Saturday evening! We had to wait 15 minutes for someone to come, and to our surprise, we couldn't order anything! The lady wasn't very friendly either. Too bad.

I think this was the worst waitress experience ever.. We had reserved for 6:30 and ordered immediately. The first dish arrived after 40 minutes, and because we filled out multiple order forms and handed them to the wait staff with a 10-minute pause each time, we received the dishes every 20 minutes. The service for drinks was much faster. Maybe even a little too fast. Your glass wasn't even empty yet before you were already being asked if you wanted another drink. Furthermore, a few things stood out to me.. Working with slips of paper. It's outdated; there are already waitresses taking orders via tablets. I understand that this is a huge investment, but you earn it back quickly. No staff needed to enter the slips. No staff needed to look up orders because something isn't right. No "unnecessary paper usage," and you can set the tablets so that you can only order again after a few minutes. The customer has control over the drinks themselves. What also struck me was that the ladies and gentlemen serve very hot dishes with their bare hands, and I felt those dishes—you really wouldn't want to hold them in your hand for long. Perhaps gloves would be an option for that. I doubt whether this sister place is worth visiting again. Maybe if it were modernized a bit more.

We ate at T zusje Gouda this week. What a beautiful place. And big too. The staff is very friendly. We were already familiar with the concept, but there are new dishes again. Very tasty. The service was nice and quick. The staff comes by regularly to ask if everything is to our liking and to take care of drinks. My nut allergy was also taken into good consideration. You get your own little slip, and the dishes come with a toothpick in it with a picture of a nut on it. That way, the staff knows immediately. Definitely worth a repeat visit in Gouda.

We had a delicious meal, tasty appetizers and good quality. The staff was also super friendly, and everything was explained very well regarding how the ordering process works. We dined here as a group outing with 9 people. The first thing we noticed when we entered was the overwhelming smell of air freshener. When I mentioned it to the staff, I didn't smell it again afterwards. The food is good, the staff is friendly and helpful, and drink orders were taken regularly. The group was split into two order lists because we were a group, and that was fine. However, the waiting times are very long, so when the first round was served, we immediately handed the second round to the waitress. This worked well for us. The restaurant was only half full, so we could hear each other well; the sound was also fine. The only downside is that it was very cold later in the evening because the air conditioning was blasting away. Perhaps that was a signal to send us outside. We had a nice evening.

We went a while ago for dinner with my girlfriend. The food was tasty, but during the three hours we were there, the staff quite literally forgot about us for a total of an hour and a half, until the kitchen closed and we couldn't order anything anymore. As a result, we left still hungry, yet we still had to pay the full bill. A real shame for such a big name.

We didn't know that t Zusje was a tapas restaurant, but when we wanted to have a drink around dinner time, that wasn't a problem. Cozy terrace. Friendly service, and the homemade iced tea was fantastically delicious. I think we'll go back for the tapas sometime!

I have always had good experiences, but this was really very bad.. Waited 45 minutes for the first drink and the first tickets. Between rounds, you also have to wait half an hour to 45 minutes.

Despite the reviews being somewhat less positive, we went to eat here anyway. And all the food was delicious: tender meat, great flavors, and served quickly. The staff was also very sweet and friendly.

Worst experience at 't zusje ever!!! Upon arrival in Gouda, due to circumstances, I had forgotten half of the gift cards we had received from one of our children, and I mentioned this immediately when we sat down. My other son offered to go to our house to take photos of the cards with the QR codes, and we were told we would arrange that when it was time to pay. Imagine our surprise when settling the bill…. The “manager” insisted on having the physical cards because the QR codes are activated upon purchase, not upon use… Even the option to hand them in the next day was not honored, so never again for us at 't zusje😡

Normally, I always find the food at ‘t Zusje very tasty. But I really wouldn't recommend this branch. Some dishes were served almost cold. And the round times here take ridiculously long. When they then ask with the bill if everything was to our liking and I clearly indicate that I didn't think the quality was good, they don't even follow up. No second time for me.

We thoroughly enjoyed the Burgundian experience; every round was a delight for the taste buds. It was also perfectly fine for the younger members of the group. We were served wonderfully by Charlotte and Lotte, even though they were having a truly chaotic evening. One tip though: bring plenty of conversation starters or something to do between rounds, as they were sometimes delayed. But that might also be due to the chaos among the staff. Also, the back of the table (children's order) was forgotten in several rounds. A better solution could definitely be found for that; our daughter sometimes felt like she was being deliberately forgotten. All in all, definitely still recommended for a nice meal. And compliments to the ladies mentioned earlier, real stars! Greetings from our half-German group :-).

We went out for dinner in Gouda with five people, but the food was very disappointing. This was also the case last time in Rotterdam. The menu has become smaller. That isn't so bad, but then the dishes need to be of good quality. Unfortunately, we felt that the dishes lacked flavor. In some dishes, the meat was overcooked. This was the last time for me at 't Zusje. Very unfortunate.

We've been to Zusje for lunch before, but we were very disappointed with the service. Four waitresses sat around chatting among themselves instead of serving customers. I don't know how anyone can hire such staff. The food also left much to be desired. The first dish we ordered was very dry and weathered, and we waited over 40 minutes between the first and second orders. I don't know what the management and administration are thinking... We were very disappointed.

The location is pleasantly situated. The decor is fine, with plenty of space around the tables. There is also room for people in wheelchairs. The layout of the menu is always nice. You can eat as much as you want, but in small portions. There is a wide selection, including for vegetarians.

I've always praised the Zusje concept. This time, I went to Gouda for the first time, but unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. I felt the quality of the food had deteriorated significantly. Furthermore, they forgot to enter the back of the order form three times, meaning our child had to wait each time after we had finished our round. If you know there's a child with you, I assume you'll check the "children's side" of the menu anyway. The service also seemed inattentive, which is a shame.

The tapas are a bit pricier for an all-you-can-eat concept, but absolutely worth it. The food is delicious, and the menu is extensive, with something for everyone. The cocktails are delicious and clearly made with care. Furthermore, the staff is fast, friendly, and creates a pleasant atmosphere.

For tapas in Gouda, this is the place to be. An extensive menu with something for everyone, including vegetarians. We opted for the unlimited tapas option, and I would definitely do that again next time. Definitely a place to return to.

Sunday evening, normally busy. Friendly service. However, three times when ordering a new course, they didn't read the back of the slip (the back is the order form for kids), so we had to reorder. The food was otherwise okay, but nothing more. Sometimes the combinations are pointless, like "bami" strings with your chicken breast? And definitely don't order fries; they're mealy potato sticks that were only deep-fried for a minute. And combined with the exorbitant price, I wouldn't go back.

The food was amazing, as always! We received kind service in a great atmosphere. This isn't a fast-food restaurant, so we weren't expecting to eat quickly. It's always a pleasure to wait for delicious food while surrounded by friends. They also have plenty of choices for vegetarian guests. This was not our first visit to 't Zusje, and it certainly won't be our last!

Okay, what should have been a fun evening for a woman with a learning disability ended in a freezing shower. We had the worst spot, upstairs by the window in the corner near the restrooms. We sat there all evening and were incredibly cold. They were supposed to turn off the air conditioning, and I'm sure they did, but it remained COLD. I'm not a whiner, but we just sat there shivering. The guests next to us were still wearing their coats. I'm not used to this from my sister. Fortunately, the food was good, but the atmosphere was much worse.

Although the food was quite tasty, the air conditioning kept the temperature too low, which hindered the flavor of the food. Furthermore, because all the tapas were served simultaneously, we had to eat quickly. For this reason, I don't recommend this restaurant. We're going to a warmer place for dessert and coffee.

Only a bottle on account. Well, then I'm done with it. These days, you get a glass of water everywhere if you want one, and a cooked meal too. In short, a crappy place. SKIP IT. The first, but unfortunately also the last time. We had a reservation for 7:30 PM. We were a bit early. The waitstaff didn't arrive for our drinks until 20 minutes later. We only received the forms after having to chase them up ourselves. I filled out some things on the fly, and they were taken care of quickly. We didn't receive the first round of drinks until after a 45-minute wait. The second round took about the same amount of time. That wasn't until 9:15. The dishes were between cold and lukewarm when we received them the first rounds. Only after 10:45, when more people were leaving, did the dishes arrive a bit faster, but I definitely don't think it's worth the 42 euros per person. I also complained via the website, but so far I haven't received a response. On the plus side, the staff is extremely friendly.

Ate here for the first time, at least at this location. It didn't start off quite right. But once the menu arrived, it moved quickly and was delicious. The surroundings are also lovely, overlooking the market. The interior is also very atmospheric. All in all, very satisfied.

We went to 't Zusje in Gouda today. What a terrible experience. We made a reservation for 6:30. We arrived right on time at 6:15 PM. We were escorted upstairs, sat down, and then it took half an hour before we were even given the opportunity to order a drink. If it were busy or on a weekend, we could easily get in, but that wasn't the case today. After waiting half an hour and beckoning the staff several times, we left without having anything to drink or eat. As mentioned in several reviews, it's all-you-can-wait, not all-you-can-eat. I sincerely recommend eating here, unless you literally have all day to spare.

We had high expectations but were severely disappointed. The food was of poor quality: very small portions (e.g., two shrimp in oil or half a tablespoon of tuna tartare), and the flavor was bland or nonexistent. The "German steak" was dry and burnt, and the "butter chicken" consisted only of sauce, no chicken. The wait time was extreme: 30-40 minutes per round, and it took 2.5 hours for the third round to arrive. Two people got sick during the night. It was also far too warm inside. The only positive: friendly service, who regularly brought drinks. Unfortunately, that doesn't make up for the rest. The quality is comparable to a bad company canteen or fast-food chain. Very expensive for the quality and quantity offered.

You're always in good hands at 't Zusje. Even in Gouda. I've been to quite a few Zusjes, but Gouda isn't much different. The formula is the same everywhere, and the food is too. The menu changes regularly and there's always plenty of choice. They also take special requests into account. I especially like that they serve each table at the same time, so everyone gets something to eat at the same time. You can dine for hours, enjoying the food and the company. The only downside to 't Zusje is that it's often very warm inside. If you know that, you prepare for it, and it's no problem.

The fries as a side dish are also very limp and are served with a very small amount of sauce. It is an all you can eat concept so maybe they should also economize here to keep it affordable.

Best restaurant in a beautiful location. Cosy interior and the service is ok. The menu is extensive and varied. The 2 dishes per round is not much so you have to sit there for a while to be satisfied and get value for your money. Feel free to ask for extra notes if you only get 5. In terms of quality good dishes. Although the flavors never really stand out. A bit on the safe side sometimes. I personally do not think it is cheap, but quite worth your money. All in all a great option. Certainly with a larger group and or children
