't Zusje Gouda in Binnenstad

I've always praised the Zusje concept. This time, I went to Gouda for the first time, but unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. I felt the quality of the food had deteriorated significantly. Furthermore, they forgot to enter the back of the order form three times, meaning our child had to wait each time after we had finished our round. If you know there's a child with you, I assume you'll check the "children's side" of the menu anyway. The service also seemed inattentive, which is a shame.

The tapas are a bit pricier for an all-you-can-eat concept, but absolutely worth it. The food is delicious, and the menu is extensive, with something for everyone. The cocktails are delicious and clearly made with care. Furthermore, the staff is fast, friendly, and creates a pleasant atmosphere.

The quality of the food has deteriorated significantly. Cold, tasteless, and not worth the money you pay. I won't be seeing them again at their sister restaurant in Gouda.

For tapas in Gouda, this is the place to be. An extensive menu with something for everyone, including vegetarians. We opted for the unlimited tapas option, and I would definitely do that again next time. Definitely a place to return to.

Top restaurant Nice location, good food, good service.

Sunday evening, normally busy. Friendly service. However, three times when ordering a new course, they didn't read the back of the slip (the back is the order form for kids), so we had to reorder. The food was otherwise okay, but nothing more. Sometimes the combinations are pointless, like "bami" strings with your chicken breast? And definitely don't order fries; they're mealy potato sticks that were only deep-fried for a minute. And combined with the exorbitant price, I wouldn't go back.

The food was amazing, as always! We received kind service in a great atmosphere. This isn't a fast-food restaurant, so we weren't expecting to eat quickly. It's always a pleasure to wait for delicious food while surrounded by friends. They also have plenty of choices for vegetarian guests. This was not our first visit to 't Zusje, and it certainly won't be our last!

We had dinner at 't Zusje in Gouda last night. The service was excellent, and the enthusiastic young man was fantastic! The food was delicious, and the dishes were served quickly. I went home feeling wonderful. Highly recommended!

Okay, what should have been a fun evening for a woman with a learning disability ended in a freezing shower. We had the worst spot, upstairs by the window in the corner near the restrooms. We sat there all evening and were incredibly cold. They were supposed to turn off the air conditioning, and I'm sure they did, but it remained COLD. I'm not a whiner, but we just sat there shivering. The guests next to us were still wearing their coats. I'm not used to this from my sister. Fortunately, the food was good, but the atmosphere was much worse.

It takes a very long time, small amounts of coffee and food for the price it costs.

Although the food was quite tasty, the air conditioning kept the temperature too low, which hindered the flavor of the food. Furthermore, because all the tapas were served simultaneously, we had to eat quickly. For this reason, I don't recommend this restaurant. We're going to a warmer place for dessert and coffee.

We went to 't Zusje in Gouda for dinner yesterday. The food was fine, but the service was unfortunately less so. It took over 20 minutes for my order to be taken. I received a bottle of drink without a glass, and when I asked for one, the glass was placed on the table in a rather chaotic manner. During one of our rounds, not all the food was brought, and we had to ask where it was. Sadly, no more 't Zusje in Gouda for us.

Another restaurant that's going under. Order a beer, a white wine, and two glasses of water... WE DON'T HAVE THAT AND WE DON'T SELL IT. Why not? I can see the tap from here. No, we don't. Only a bottle on account. Well, then I'm done with it. These days, you get a glass of water everywhere if you want one, and a cooked meal too. In short, a crappy place. SKIP IT. Pretty bad experience, the bartender tried to charge me twice for each drink... Not really sure why, maybe a misunderstanding due to the language barrier. Very good drink otherwise!

We had a delicious meal and the staff didn't rush us. Highly recommended!

The first, but unfortunately also the last time. We had a reservation for 7:30 PM. We were a bit early. The waitstaff didn't arrive for our drinks until 20 minutes later. We only received the forms after having to chase them up ourselves. I filled out some things on the fly, and they were taken care of quickly. We didn't receive the first round of drinks until after a 45-minute wait. The second round took about the same amount of time. That wasn't until 9:15. The dishes were between cold and lukewarm when we received them the first rounds. Only after 10:45, when more people were leaving, did the dishes arrive a bit faster, but I definitely don't think it's worth the 42 euros per person. I also complained via the website, but so far I haven't received a response. On the plus side, the staff is extremely friendly.

Ate here for the first time, at least at this location. It didn't start off quite right. But once the menu arrived, it moved quickly and was delicious. The surroundings are also lovely, overlooking the market. The interior is also very atmospheric. All in all, very satisfied.

We went to 't Zusje in Gouda today. What a terrible experience. We made a reservation for 6:30. We arrived right on time at 6:15 PM. We were escorted upstairs, sat down, and then it took half an hour before we were even given the opportunity to order a drink. If it were busy or on a weekend, we could easily get in, but that wasn't the case today. After waiting half an hour and beckoning the staff several times, we left without having anything to drink or eat. As mentioned in several reviews, it's all-you-can-wait, not all-you-can-eat. I sincerely recommend eating here, unless you literally have all day to spare.

You're always in good hands at 't Zusje. Even in Gouda. I've been to quite a few Zusjes, but Gouda isn't much different. The formula is the same everywhere, and the food is too. The menu changes regularly and there's always plenty of choice. They also take special requests into account. I especially like that they serve each table at the same time, so everyone gets something to eat at the same time. You can dine for hours, enjoying the food and the company. The only downside to 't Zusje is that it's often very warm inside. If you know that, you prepare for it, and it's no problem.

We had high expectations but were severely disappointed. The food was of poor quality: very small portions (e.g., two shrimp in oil or half a tablespoon of tuna tartare), and the flavor was bland or nonexistent. The "German steak" was dry and burnt, and the "butter chicken" consisted only of sauce, no chicken. The wait time was extreme: 30-40 minutes per round, and it took 2.5 hours for the third round to arrive. Two people got sick during the night. It was also far too warm inside. The only positive: friendly service, who regularly brought drinks. Unfortunately, that doesn't make up for the rest. The quality is comparable to a bad company canteen or fast-food chain. Very expensive for the quality and quantity offered.

The atmosphere is cozy and the service is also good. Only the quality of the food is very mediocre. For example, the bruschetta is a mini piece of bread with 3 small pieces of tomato on it... and most tapas snacks on the menu are fried or full of sauce. The fries as a side dish are also very limp and are served with a very small amount of sauce. It is an all you can eat concept so maybe they should also economize here to keep it affordable.

Best restaurant in a beautiful location. Cosy interior and the service is ok. The menu is extensive and varied. The 2 dishes per round is not much so you have to sit there for a while to be satisfied and get value for your money. Feel free to ask for extra notes if you only get 5. In terms of quality good dishes. Although the flavors never really stand out. A bit on the safe side sometimes. I personally do not think it is cheap, but quite worth your money. All in all a great option. Certainly with a larger group and or children

Ik heb nog nooit in me hele leven zo iets gegeten, het smaakt naar niks. Alsof de chef net heel ze gezin is verloren. Ik kwam hier met me vriendin, en nu durf ik haar niet eens in der ogen te kijken. Dit is schaamtelojk

Vriendelijk personeel en snelle service voor een tapas concept. Het eten was heerlijk en wordt op mooi opgemaakte bordjes geserveerd. Mooie locatie, leuk zitten.

Gister hier wezen eten met een groep van 9 personen. Zeer positief verrast door het leuke concept. De locatie is heel erg leuk aan de markt in Gouda de aankleding is mooi en het personeel is vriendelijk. Voor het eten is een kwestie van smaak, maar dat maakt dit concept zo leuk doordat je van alles kan proberen.

Gisteren avond met vier personen bij t ‘zusje in Gouda gegeten. Het eten viel erg tegen. Zo waren verschillende gerechtjes waaronder vleesgerechten lauw, zelfs de patatjes. Brood te lang gebakken. Bao broodjes horen niet hard te zijn. Het eten viel in het algemeen erg tegen.. Tijdens het dinner al aangeven bij personeel, maar er werd niet op ingegaan. Bij het vragen van de rekening hebben we aangegeven dat we niet tevreden waren, hiervoor moest een manager gehaald worden om erover ‘ te praten’. Ik snap dat je er als manager er op dat moment niets aan kan doen, en dat je onze feedback voor een volgende keer meeneemt. Maar daar hebben wij niks aan, je betaald het volle pond (€55) pp en hebt niet lekker gegeten en het enige wat je als reactie krijgt is sorry we geven het door en nemen het mee.. Erg jammer en wij komen hier zeker niet meer terug!!

Voor het eerst gegeten bij 't Zusje in Gouda. Het concept van kleine gerechten bestellen is bekend. Wat prettig aanvoelt is dat er geen tijdslimiet is. Je kan de hele avond daar doorbrengen. De sfeer binnen is gezellig. Het personeel vriendelijk. Het systeem van de gerechten doorgeven op papier vind ik wat achterhaalt. Persoonlijk zou ik een tablet neerzetten. Al is het maar vanwege de kleine letters op het papier. Wel werd de bestelling elke keer snel opgehaald en stonden de gerechten meestal binnen 10/15 minuten op tafel. Dat is prima. De keuze is ruim. Helaas kan dat niet gezegd worden over de porties. Ik kreeg een brokje zalm met saus. Dat had beter gekund. Daarnaast had ik butter chicken besteld. De eerste keer zaten er stukjes kip in zoals het hoort. De 2e keer was de kip achterwege gelaten. Ik heb dit aangegeven en snel werd een nieuwe portie bereid. Echter had deze ook geen kip wat mij zeer verbaasde. Dit doorgegeven op het einde van de avond. Daarnaast wordt ijs geserveerd in warme bakjes. Dit betekende dat het ijs van een tafelgenoot gesmolten en wel aankwam. Dit is zeer vreemd. De gerechten wisselen van smaak en kwaliteit van een 6 tot een 8 voor mij. Ondanks de wisselende ervaringen met de gerechten wil ik het zeker nog eens uitproberen.

Derde en laatste keer.maandag 23 december gegeten met 8 pers. Inderdaad de rioollucht is bij binnenkomst te ruiken. 2 pers. hebben kaaskroketjes gegeten en werden 2 uur later ziek. De rest niet. Porties worden steeds kleiner.prijzen voor 4 rondjes p.p. plus drank zijn pittig.

Was introduced to 't Zusje concept for the first time in Gouda. I'm from Rotterdam myself, but we were away for a day. I must say that I really liked it. First of all, the service: it was TOP! You did notice a difference between the real youngsters who brought the food and drinks and the more experienced ladies and gentlemen who came to your table, but that didn't spoil the fun. I had a special dietary requirement and the girl who helped us went to the chefs to ask how or what. Now that's what you call service! I also work in the hospitality industry and these kinds of things contribute 100% to guest satisfaction. And that too on a busy Saturday evening! The food itself was tasty, portions of some dishes could have been slightly larger, for example crème brulee was only 1/4 full while the rest of the desserts were 1/2-3/4 full. The quality of the food was very good except for one dish. It's very nice that you have a very extensive choice, even without dietary requirements, and they have too many tasty things. The fact that they serve Made Blue water is also great, because I am also familiar with that. The wines were also delicious! I'm a fan of 't Zusje, next time I'm going to Rotterdam or The Hague and I can't wait. Gouda is also definitely recommended!

Cozy and attractive tapas restaurant, on the Markt in the city center of Gouda. I have now been to branches in Groningen and Bergen op Zoom, and I must say that my visit to Gouda was also excellent. The typical interior here is again very attractive and cozy (pleasant to stay). The most important thing is of course the quality of the dishes. And here too they were of an excellent level. The staff was also very nice and hospitable. Recommended! 👌👍

Very cozy and atmospheric institution. Desserts in general are unsurpassed. How were you at home in Ukraine. I highly recommend it.

We hebben de hele avond in de stank gezeten van het riool. Dit schijnt al een jaar aan de gang te zijn. Echt niet fijn als je zit te eten. Dat hadden ze bij de reservering aan moeten geven. Zo kun je geen gasten ontvangen. Al hadden ze maar een drankje aangeboden voor de overlast. Er wel wat van gezegd. Maar geen reactie. Bijna al het eten was lauw.

Food is a little less than it was, less meat/fish and more bread/rice. Not necessarily a problem because it remains very tasty. You can see that half of the dishes contain the same spicy mayonnaise, which is quite a shame. Service was not good this evening, it took a long time before someone came with notes and it also took a long time before they were picked up. We were there at half past seven and at half past eight we were only on the second round. Something also went wrong with drinks. Staff was clearly understaffed but otherwise very friendly.

We zijn 15 november gaan eten bij Zusje in Gouda. We hadden geboekt voor 7 personen ivm verjaardag zoon. Ontvangst was al perfect. Op tafel stond een felicitatie. Bediening en eten was voortreffelijk. Alles was gewoon lekker. We komen zeker terug

Unfortunately we had a very bad experience, the food really did not taste good, it was super cold and it took a very long time... we had high expectations and were there for my birthday, unfortunately it was not a successful evening!

It is a large location, but they have decorated it as attractively as possible. The food is delicious at all sister restaurants, but Gouda is my favorite. I'm in love with your lemon sorbet.

Where do I start...some dishes were a 6, others a 1, so on average a very disappointing experience. Sour steak, cools down quickly (so most of it was picked up in the microwave), carpaccio/goat cheese/garlic prawns were the only ones that scored a pass...strange flavors (pineapple compote in the pokebowl?)(ragout and stroganoff unrecognizable) really, really bad guys🫣 I hope this review doesn't kill the last bit of fun for the older, balding employee...realize that there are people who only occasionally being able to eat out and then make the mistake of walking in here🥺I really think it's a shame...but anyway, beautiful location, beautiful setting and 2 nice people in the service, but I would really advise against spending your money here.. .they say they have special spring water, but the bottles were simply filled with tap water behind the bar, really not great! Spare me the standard response that is pasted underneath everything....

Food was delicious, they have a special menu for pregnant women so you can eat almost anything because they adjust the dish (well done, and for example replace the raw fish with a pokebowl). However, I indicated several times (4 times) that it was my girlfriend's birthday. and would do something about this, but unfortunately this did not work out

Tasty food, good atmosphere. Just eat some higher end tapas, where you are served each round per table. This means you really eat together. It's nice that there are separate cards for allergies or restrictions due to pregnancy, for example. Just makes it a little more accessible!

I had dinner with the sister tonight, we had to wait at least 40 to 50 minutes for our food for each round, once the food arrived it was really not tasty, everything was limp and cold as if it had been quickly put in the microwave. Certain dishes were also finished very quickly. We ended up sitting here for almost three hours and hardly ate anything because everything took so long. I really wouldn't go back here.

Even though it is always busy, both on weekends and during the week, the service is really top and fast. Fill in the card, put it in the holder and off you go, it will be taken away again and a little later the order will be delivered. Much better than those places that do 2 shifts in an evening and you also have the feeling that they are deliberately slow to serve as few rounds as possible. 't Zusje is really my favorite restaurant, no matter where and I have been to many locations!

The last times I ate at 't Zusje it was no longer the way it was. The card has been the same for ages, where they used to have a different card every quarter. The dishes are okay but not special anymore. The service is also not always as good as it was. I am a loyal 't Zusje fan and have been to many restaurants and have always been positive, but the last time I did not enjoy it as much as I always did. Shame! I won't come back until there is a new card.

The food was tasty but not special. 5 rounds of 2 tapas per x. At least I didn't eat €40 off it. Too bad, but not worth repeating for me.

So rude!! The service was awful. The waiting staff made it very clear they did not want to serve us. Initially the waitress said to me ‘ we don’t serve the English! A manageress intervened said it’s ok come in. I thought I had miss heard her, it was only after we had left that my wife reassured me that that was what she had said. This is our 6th day touring the Netherlands and everywhere else we have been the people have been lovely and helpful and welcoming. My advice is go anywhere else but this place for food and drinks.

Sisters. Always good, right? Unfortunately. Operation is NOT ok. Drinking something outside and waiting for the rest of the group was a bit of a challenge. When asked if it was okay to have a drink outside and wait for the rest, it took some effort. If you choose outside, it stays outside. Huh????? After some deliberation it was deemed ok. Ordered a beer. When it was empty, service came and asked... What do we do with this? Pointing at the glass. And in an unfriendly way. Look, you ask, can I pour some more, then you have a clear question. So I say... How about the dishwasher? Not an okay response. When the group was complete we went inside. Nice tent. As the sisters are. To eat. Perfect. The service remained a bit the same... Shame. Because top location. Beautiful building. Beautiful interior. Unfortunately the first bad experience with a sister. But...... Still worth it.

Wij kwamen bij t’Zusje in Gouda voor het diner. Ik ben bij meerdere Zusjes geweest zoals in Rotterdam en Scheveningen. Altijd goed. Maar hier in Gouda echt een koude douche. Voorbeeld: naan brood met geitenkaas: brood kon je een ander zijn hersens mee inslaan. Heb er wat van gezegd tegen serveerster, deed er niets mee. Kipsate met mihoen: mihoen waren houten stokjes van het opwarmen. Citroen sorbet: ijs was gesmolten voordat het bij ons aankwam. Weer wat van gezegd: niets mee gedaan. Rösti van zoete aardappel: niet knapperig, zompig, koud, klodders saus… Angus kroket: lauw/koud. Meerdere gerechten laten staan. Serveerster nam het mee zonder te vragen waarom die gerechten amper zijn aangeraakt. Meer dan €100,- afgerekend. 1 woord: schandalig!

Food is what you expect from a franchise, one of the better all you can eat concepts. A bit on the expensive side and at rounds 4-5 the staff “forgets” you for longer periods and only takes drink orders. With larger groups I would definitely recommend this.

Service was rough, we asked the waiter for 2x coke zero. After 10 minutes we had not received anything, after which we were asked twice if we wanted something to drink and we indicated that we had already ordered. A couple sat down next to us and got their drinks within a minute. After 15 minutes I got fed up and walked to the bar. This is downright ridiculous. Service could be much better, we won't come here again...

A busy Sunday evening, a number of groups of customers were present. There were two of us, upstairs was a cozy place where we and another couple could sit next to us. Smooth, cozy interior, and the service was fairly quick, friendly staff and the food was excellent, dishes nicely presented. We will definitely come back to this sister

Na een topervaring bij Zusje Terneuzen, was dit echt wel een tegenvaller. Het eten was gelukkig wel ok, maar verder… We hadden gereserveerd, maar werden gestuurd om buiten te zitten. We hadden sterk de indruk dat ze binnen nog niet eens extra wilden opdienen en afruimen ondanks weinig klienteel. Om 14u werd al gelijk gemeld dat de keuken sluit om 16u, dit geeft helemaal geen welkomstgevoel. Na onze aankomst hebben wij dan ook meerdere mensen doorgestuurd zien worden. Tja, als je geen zin hebt om te werken… Tafelaankleding was heel min en bediening amateuristisch. Wij hadden ons de afsluiter van onze vakantie anders voorgesteld…

Leuke formule om gerechtjes aan te bieden. Zeer enthousiaste hulpvaardige ober met aandacht voor mensen met allergieën. Geen probleem om bestelling nog op te nemen 15u50 hoewel de keuken om 16 u sloot. Zeker een aanrader qua eten en binnenin de zaak heel sfeervol en vooral smaakvol ingericht.
