We visit 't Zusje Helmond often, but this time it was truly top-notch. We were surprised again. The dishes were slightly larger and came with more side dishes... also surprising flavors that went together really well. Fantastic atmosphere and super friendly service. Dishes arrived quickly. We will definitely be back... very soon.

This review requires explanation. The restaurant itself is fine, as is the execution of the concept and the staff. However, you have to like this kind of place, and unfortunately, I don't. In my opinion, the food is absolutely not up to standard, or perhaps it is exactly at the level of a lot of people, because it was packed and many friends actually think *Het Zusje* is great. (Maybe I am used to better quality food and restaurants by now) Unfortunately, I hadn't considered that this concept doesn't work with children; the waiting between courses is terrible for young children (and for me)! The kids' menu looked fun for a child, but as a parent, you quickly see that everything comes from the deep fryer or oven; nothing for the children is fresh, and there wasn't a single vegetable on the menu. However, children are allowed to order from the adult menu as well. The business model turned out to be drinks in between courses, as we were politely asked about this very often. For our family, one drink with the meal is sufficient, and perhaps a water afterwards. We paid 137 euros for 2 adults and 2 children. For this price, I have had much better meals and experienced less stress in a restaurant. It also felt very annoying to me to have to wait so long for the dishes every time, and that is why I want to state that this concept and food don't suit me personally, but I understand that for other people, this can undoubtedly be a very enjoyable experience. The (very young) staff, on the other hand, did their very best to keep up with the chaos, and I have nothing bad to say about that. The history of the building is certainly interesting too! (old bank from 1924, with the original vault door still present) For us as a family, this was the first and last time we will eat at this type of concept restaurant.

I have been to several Zusjes locations already, but last Friday, together with my best friend, I visited the one in Helmond for the first time. What a beautiful and atmospheric location, amazing service, and super tasty dishes from the new menu! We will be back in Helmond soon!

We were there on Saturday night... After visiting the restaurant that night, I started having stomach pains and nausea. I had to stay in bed for two days. I didn't eat much there, didn't drink any alcohol, but apparently it was enough.

We had a super delicious meal, the entire staff was friendly, and you feel seen! The atmosphere is amazing. Highly recommended!!! We will definitely be back!

The restaurant is quite interesting, and the food comes in small portions. It's probably worth ordering the all-you-can-eat option for €42 and ordering small dishes throughout the meal. Overall, very interesting. Perhaps a bit pricey for some, though.

What a lovely place! The welcome was friendly. The place names are expansive, and the atmosphere is pleasant. Nothing but praise for the food! Every 25 minutes, all dishes were served at the table simultaneously, so not half of the dishes were served and the other half still uneaten. The dishes that were supposed to be hot were indeed hot. Everything tasted great and was presented beautifully. Compliments, and definitely worth another visit.

A very disappointing experience. I specifically called beforehand to ask if we could stay until 11:00 PM with unlimited ordering if we arrived later (7:30 PM). This was confirmed without hesitation. Upon arrival, this suddenly turned out to be incorrect. No responsibility was taken for the error, and there was no apology or solution whatsoever. This is misleading and downright unprofessional. Furthermore, the service was clearly subpar: no warm welcome, no atmosphere, and the staff seemed disinterested. The welcoming atmosphere you expect was completely absent. The phone call also made a bad first impression; there was loud laughter before the phone was answered, and this was done in an unprofessional manner. For a restaurant that thrives on experience and service, this is unacceptable. We will definitely not be returning.

We came to eat with 4 people today. We received drinks after waiting 45 minutes, but only got 3 small dishes for 4 people. So we complained, which ended up as an argument. We decided to leave and wanted to pay for the drinks we had, but the lady started a commotion and wanted us to pay for the whole package. Of course not, so in the end we only paid for the drinks. The lady got into an argument. This is the last time I've ever eaten here. Rude employee, fire her immediately (I expect a team leader or something; he was wearing his own clothes and was the main character). Better to go to another sister restaurant; in any case, not in Helmond with rude staff.

We had a delicious tapas meal here again over Christmas. Lots of choices, tasty snacks, and generous portions. The atmosphere is great, and the staff is friendly and helpful. It's a shame about the limited beer menu.

Christmas Eve at her sister's was a new experience for us, but we had such a wonderful time. We've been here before, but this time the atmosphere was different. We had a wonderful time from start to finish, and despite the Christmas rush, the service was top-notch. A small gift afterward made it a perfect Christmas Eve. We'll see you again soon.

Went to eat in Helmond today, nice atmospheric place, very friendly staff, not cheesy people, they walk around with a smile, the food was really delicious, we had Burgundian tapas, we ate at our leisure, didn't have to wait long for our food and if you had questions about what it was, you got an explanation. I will definitely come back again

A truly special restaurant! Quite large, yet with a unique and cozy atmosphere. A selection of dishes, including some unusual combinations. Generous portions for hungry customers. A nice beer selection. The staff are quick and efficient, and they also offer helpful advice.

We had dinner at 't zus on Friday night. We were seated and helped almost immediately. The food was delicious. Early in the evening, it took a while for our first round of food to arrive. The staff was very friendly and attentive. It's not the cheapest place to eat, but it's definitely worth it.

Delicious food, friendly staff and cozy decor

I think this is the best restaurant in Helmond when it comes to children's menus. They have a fun and extensive selection of all-you-can-eat dishes for kids. The kids absolutely love it! It's also just a great restaurant: good service and a very interesting atmosphere. We always have a great time there with the whole family.

Overpriced and overrated for this price and quality. It was just the two of us eating for over €110... there are plenty of other restaurants in Helmond where you get more for less. We certainly won't be eating here again.

Positive points: Very beautiful setting, a bit like the Orient Express, tasteful decor, friendly and welcoming staff. Dishes are fairly well prepared and presented. Contrary to some reviews, the wait between courses isn't too long. Negative points: Dark room, dim lighting, few windows, very noisy when it's busy. Guests regularly come with babies and toddlers who scream, throw tantrums, and play like they're in a playground. Very average value for money; this isn't a gourmet restaurant, and the portions are small. The restrooms are moderately clean, and to wash your hands, you have to hold the faucet down. Conclusion: If you enjoy dining over a long period, trying different dishes in a cozy setting, and you have the time, then 't Zusje Helmond can be a very good option. On the other hand, if you're in a hurry, sensitive to noise, or looking for high-end service and a quiet dinner, this might not be for you. If you're not in that situation, bring your children and their toys, because this is a nursery. In fact, I have a suggestion for management: please reserve a room for the children, far away from the quiet customers, put in swings, ball pits, and whatever else you want for their enjoyment. But please, stop bothering us. My eardrum almost bled from the screams of a one-year-old having a tantrum nearby.

Dishes are okay, but there is no dish that stands out. Wide choice and something for everyone. Service varies. Hostess very nice, but the staff who delivers food and collects empty plates less so. The biggest drawback is the price. The food itself is €40 per person and the drinks are very expensive. A glass of Grolsch Weizen €5. The four of us spent more than €240 and you are also asked for a tip.

However: Our hostess Ilonka did everything she could to make things right. 3 stars because of Ilonka's involvement and customer focus. Mr/Mrs Sister: Keep her on board, you have a winner!

You always have to wait a very long time for your food. While your drink will be there in no time, they make money from that. Price to quality is also completely out of proportion

The food is great... only the concept is no longer true, unlimited Burgundian enjoyment. Arrive at 5 p.m., first dish at 6:10 p.m. Then it took a very long time for them to pick up our order. No full bellies for us either. And regularly get annoyed because of hunger and going for a long time without eating and sometimes also drinking. It's probably due to a shortage of staff or something... but don't fill your tent completely if you can't deliver what the sister stands for. Such a shame. We made a reservation at 7:00 PM and didn't receive our first dish until 7:45 PM, 2 dishes per person and they only come to pick up your tray after 30 minutes. So every time you order, you will only receive your food after 1 hour. So of course they can ask top price for a few dishes. My husband went home still hungry 😅. The food was not at all what we are used to, chicken was burnt and you even get drinks after waiting 45 minutes. Shame! We won't be coming back here again!
