Tamago Ramen & Sake Bar in Rotterdam Centrum

Overall, it’s a nice little Japanese restaurant. The service is very friendly, and they even serve complimentary side dishes. Although shrimp crackers as a side dish felt a bit unusual, it was still something different to try. The pan-fried dumplings were crispy and paired well with soy sauce, a taste I’m familiar with. The peach sake was also quite good. However, the ramen still has room for improvement—the broth could be richer, and the noodles lacked chewiness. That said, the chashu was excellent, with a nice charred flavor. All in all, I would still come back to this small place. It offers quite a few Japanese side dishes and has a pleasant atmosphere.

Don't trust the good reviews. We had a very bad experience. The service was non-existent, and the little interaction we had was rude. The owners are ridiculously greedy charging for tap water "because they are in their right". The takoyaki was the worst I ever had, with only a tiny piece of hard octopus per ball. And the ramen was tasteless with ready-made noodles. Any other ramen place in Rotterdam is better than this one.

Food was ok … the atmosphere tensed .. the lady at the desk ice cube .. didn’t say hello even and when we asked tap water she rudely told that they sell it … it spoiled my birthday mood .. not recommended at all !!! There are many more better ramen places near about!! P.s you had to make archeological excavations to find octopus pieces in octopus balls 😀😀😀

One of the best Ramen in Rotterdam. Five of us went there, everyone noted the rich taste and were extremely satisfied.

Just fine ramen you get, quite a lot too at least for lunch. It was very quiet at the time.

Ordered Tonkotsu ramen, which I’ve eaten many times before jn different restaurants and even cities so therefore know what it’s supposed to taste like. The broth here was tasteless and lacked any of the traditional characteristics or flavour. Toppings were, at best, mediocre and the noodles despite upgrading were poor. The pork slices tasted more like they had been prepared Cantonese style and whilst they tasted ok didn’t belong on this dish. Not great I’m afraid.

Great ramen, but definitely not above 4. I had a TanTan and almost no minced meat.. also besides spring onion and Bambo, no other toppings. Finally, the foam comes out of the walls on the side. Looks like it was never finished

I get take-out regularly. Today black tonkotsu chicken. A little red pepper with it… As always, delicious. Nice people, good feeling!

Wow, I wanted a new experience on a visit to Rotterdam. I thought it was going to be kapsalon but it was ramen with black fungi, nori and the most amazing tasting soft boiled eggs in all of creation. Thank you! 🙏🏼

Very nice ramen restaurant. Always a bit cool in terms of temperature, but stylishly furnished, super clean and very friendly service. And the food is always fresh and really tasty! You order digitally with a QR code. This works very well. For me a "must" when I'm in Rotterdam. Absolutely recommended!

I come here very often, the food is always amazing! Quick service, and nice portions of food. The shrimps with curry is amazing, would recommend Only maybe a little tip for the winters, it can be a bit cold inside. Hence the 4 star for the ambiance :) They also have nice options for vegetarians!

Amazing Ramen! You order online at your table, which is really convenient. The food arrived fast and the overall atmosphere was very nice.

The food was tasty and delicious. Tried several starters including the gyoza, takoyaki and karaage. For mains we had curry and miso ramen, which were also tasty. The curry could perhaps have used some larger pieces of carrot and potato. There was less choice for dessert, but the yuzu and matcha mochi ice cream were both excellent. Nice Japanese hits in the background music.

I don't think the location is that attractive, a more unpleasant corner of Rotterdam. I found the restaurant itself quite dark and cold. Ordering had to be done via a QR code that was taped to the table. I could immediately indicate whether I wanted to tip. I find that a strange principle, because at that moment I don't know what the service and food is like. I found the ramen I had with cha siu to be very bland in taste. The cha siu itself was delicious; tender and tasty. Considering the price and the good reviews, I expected more.

Such delicious ramen!! The tamago (soft egg) is incredibly good! I always enjoy coming here. For me the best ramen in Rotterdam and it's never busy. The restaurant itself was unfortunately a bit cold and drafty the last time we were there, but everything else was great.

Today I ate something here for the first time for lunch, it was a bit of a drizzly day and not very busy so it was not the most atmospheric day but the service was very fast and the food was fine. Just a good place to go for a soup

Delicious food here! I always wondered, is it tasty, yes or no? So that's testing! I had the House Tonkotsu Chashiu Ramen. Delicious creamy soup, the chasiu in it was really delicious! Tasty karaage🔥. Very friendly staff!

Fancy Ramen with chicken. It looked oh so delicious. However, the chicken was really inedible, greasy and dirty. But according to the waitress it was really chicken!!!. The soup also had a rancid taste. We both left it alone. We have reported this. Answer: "Everyone likes it". Friday evening 6 p.m. 2 guests in the business. So we. At home on antacids. And that from just a few snacks. By the way, it had been a long time since the floor in the toilets had seen a mop. Nasty

I am not a ramen fan but this place was AMAZING, really tasty food, good amount, fast service even when the place is full. I might be liking ramen now, definitely going back

The food was good. For us, the exclusively digital processing took some getting used to. Table with matrix code for menu, then place order digitally. Everything with your own cell phone. Food and drinks were then brought to the table. Payment was then made offline at the checkout. But it was possible to complete the payment process online beforehand. We also enjoyed the food setting.

First look of the noodle I thought was instant noodle. A but curly and not the usual authentic Japanese ramen texture. Service was good.

There was a big spider in my bowl of ramen. I noticed after eating almost all of it.. When we told the waitress, they seemed to not believe us so they just gave us 10% discount… i guess those things happen but i wished the situation was handled differently, especially as i have a phobia.

The food is really good, we ordered shoyu chicken teriyaki and white chasiu. I like the chicken better, juicy and flavorful.

I took the Spicy Miso Chicken Ramen, the bone broth was nice, could’ve been spicier, the ramen was a little undercooked and tasteless, the chicken itself wasn’t super tasty. Service was okay. Asking € 1,50 for tap water is funny, we live in the Netherlands… Wouldn’t go here again.

Great offer of different types of ramen, including veggie ones. Definitely recommend their white tonkotsu veggie ramen, the noodles are perfectly chewy and the broth is deliciously smooth with deep flavors. The food is also ready pretty fast

Lovely hearty ramen and takoyaki. Not many people, ordering through an online interface on your phone and the food arrives quickly. I wish they offered refillable tea in big teapots instead of just one cup, but the tea was of reasonable quality and the water was correct temperature for a green tea.

Delicious food. I had the white Tonkotsu ramen. Not greasy, full of flavour. Tried various noodles in Rotterdam...Tamago Ramen is really one of the better places for noodles. They are in the center but still in a quiet location. Friendly staff too.

Heavily underrated ramen place. Even though it is remote, it is not normal to have had such a good meal here. One of the best ramen I've ever eaten and it's adorable.

Excellent Ramen restaurant! We took the Kara Age chicken for starters and the white Tonkatsu ramen. Both were super tasty and generous - the char siu pork was amazing, super tender and heavenly tasty, broth was heartwarming, noodles standard but perfectly cooked. All what you can ask for. One of the very best ramens I ate, definitely recommended!

One of the best ramen in Rotterdam, we had a delicious meal. It is certainly a top restaurant for people who like spicy food. You can choose the spiciness from 1 - 5. Delicious ingredients, friendly and helpful ladies work there. I definitely recommend this place!

Recently we were craving ramen, but there were long lines at other ramen spots, so we ended up here. It is a relatively new restaurant, which is on the smaller side. We had the black tonkotsu ramen with cha siu. For 16 euros per ramen bowl you get little cha siu. We added a few sides, which were also on the pricey side compared to what you got. Compared to other ramen spots in Rotterdam, it's not the best, but it's certainly not bad. As someone who grew up on ramen, I found the taste to be okay and not rich in flavor.

Been here for three times. They have amazing soup base and THE BEST chashu among all the ramen restaurants I’ve been to. They’re soft and tender but at the same time thick and juicy! Would risk my life to steal that recipe. I also love the thicker noodles that you can choose to upgrade to when ordering. Definitely worth visiting. :)

Delicious ramen. The house tonkotsu is full of flavour but also gentle. Good portion size. The staff are friendly and the place looks nice. Well located.

Decent variety of different snacks and ramens. Gyozas and karaage were very good. Ramen was decent but I’ve had better in terms of taste/price/toppings/temperature of broth. The char shiu in the ramen was not really char shiu but was pork belly (spek lap) which was disappointing. Service was also fine. I liked the Japanese music they were playing. Was a bit cold though when people would come in and out of the door.

The White Tonkotsu ramen was very tasty, one of the better in Rotterdam. The poor service, on the other hand, is probably the reason why I won't be eating here again anytime soon. I was alone in the shop, and I felt fairly 'invisible' to the two employees present. Order via a QR code on the table; is it that much to ask to take an order at the table? And a simple question like "did you like the food?" Apparently it was also too much trouble during checkout. Pity. A combination of good food and good service keeps customers coming back. Probably a lesson for the owners.

Very nice rich broth in the house tonkotsu ramen and the toppings were also really good (tamago, menma)! Would also recommend the pumpkin croquettes (very nice and soft).

Absolutely delicious. Little bit off the usual streets but they've dishes you don't see at the other ramen restaurants in the area. Very delicious.

Food was delicious. I've been here two times now, and it's honestly a great place to go. Besides the typical Japanese anime music on loop, the atmosphere is pretty nice. You order through a QR code on the table, so you don't have to talk to the staff (which is great for introverts). It doesn't take too long to the food to arrive, and they have a pretty broad menu where you can easily make adjustments to your food if needed.

Amazing place, got a warm welcome from the waiter. Got seated right away. This is my favorite ramen place in Rotterdam. The food is amazing, price is reasonable and the portions are perfect. Plating and representation of the plate is on top !! Will definitely come back, recommend this place to everyone give Tamago Rame a try you won’t be disappointed!!! Overall what I would rate the place out of a scale of 10. I’m not generous with what I’m saying but it’s a solid 8 out of 10! 👍😊

We have visited Tamago Ramen twice and, honestly, their spicy Ramen is the best we’ve ever eaten. Fresh ingredients,perfect noodles, spice level is adjustable 1 to 5. This place is totally overlooked by internet Ramen reviews for Rotterdam. I have no idea why. It is excellent and highly recommended.

Miso chicken ramen is really tasty and recommended. Udon curry with chicken katsu was also nice but more spicy. Ramens are really good. Gyoza would be better. Easy to order. Nice place

House ramen is the only option for bone broth base soup. Didn’t disappoint, was very tasty and rich. The noodles are indeed a bit soft. They have an option for cheesy thicker noodles, but honestly when you are looking at the menu for the first time it doesn’t say anything. I’d try them next time. The pork was well seasoned and tender. Overall we had a good food experience. Nevertheless, there is no soap in the bathroom, which for me raised some flags, is something minor but still….

AMAZING gem of a spot! I’ve never noticed it before and am so glad I found it! The vegan ramen options are amazing, prices are great (I paid €22 for ramen with 5 extra toppings, dessert and a drink). The mochi are vegan which I’ve not been able to find elsewhere. Honestly overall amazing, rich, delicious and hearty food. Not too crowded and great service too.

I ordered a Miso based ramen and was delicious! Lots of flavour and not too heavy for lunch. The pork and egg were delicious. I had a side of Gyozas as well and they were perfectly cooked. The music and tables were very nice. Recommended!!

Its super clean and the music in this place is to die for. The food here is probably one of the best ramens ive had in this country so far. We will most definitely be returning for some more!

I liked the food a lot (I had a chicken ramen and a portion of takoyaki, the ramen expecially was very good and had a very simple but tasteful flavour), and also the place was nice and quiet. You can also have lunch in the tables outside the restaurant which is located in a nice spot. I'll come back for sure!

Voor het eerst hier gegeten, vriendelijke mevrouw in de bediening. Ik had Misi Chicken Ramen en die was zalig. De tafel waren beetje saai, geen bloemetje of menukaart. Mooie schone zaak, complimenten.
