Tapa Sagrada in Wijk 00 Gulpen

We had a wonderful meal here. The ambiance is great, and the waitresses are friendly and service-oriented. We were less impressed with the long wait before our dishes arrived. We ordered two dishes for the first round. They were tasty, but not particularly well-prepared. We received the bowl of olives after half an hour, and had to wait an hour for the Burrata with Serrano ham and grilled peach pieces. One of the waitresses offered us a free drink as compensation. After this, we ordered three dishes, also not particularly well-prepared, and these too were served one by one, spread out over an hour and a half. Delicious, but none of the dishes we ordered needed that much time to prepare, in our opinion. And to think that by the time we were waiting for the last dish, most of the guests had already eaten or left. The dessert, the Affagato, arrived after 20 minutes and was delicious, but it's just a scoop of ice cream, a splash of coffee on top, and it's ready, so it could have been faster. The kitchen could be much more organized. It's a shame this puts the waitresses in a difficult position.

The tapas were very tasty, unfortunately not all were available, but the ones we had were delicious. Service was initially attentive, but not very fast and the order at several tables was out of order, especially late in the evening.

Yesterday, we dined here for the first time as a couple. We had a reservation for 7:00 PM. We ordered four tapas dishes for the first round, which took an hour and a half. The dishes were tasty but nothing special that warranted such a long wait. We ordered a second round of three dishes, hoping it would be a bit quicker, but unfortunately, we also had to wait an hour and a half. When we asked where our order was, we were told our receipt had been lost in the kitchen and offered a drink as compensation. After the second round, I decided to have a coffee from the offer, but after half an hour, there was still no coffee to be seen, so we left. It was now 10:30 PM. The restaurant's tapas concept is nice, and the staff is very friendly. However, the wait for dishes is incredibly long, and in my opinion, unnecessary for simple small tapas dishes for two people. Unfortunately, we won't be back.

Had a wonderful meal on the terrace. You can keep ordering tapas until you are full. Be careful, when it is busy the staff can (continue to) make mistakes. Furthermore, the price quality is very good. TIP: The sangria is very tasty!

We waren zelf wat aan de late kant om te eten maar waren hier nog welkom. Ook al sloot de keuken een half uur later. Wat we bestelden waren overheerlijke gerechten. Smaakvol en niet vet zoals we wel vaker bij tapas restaurants ervaren. Dit is echt een topper van een tapas restaurant. Lekkere plank met Spaanse vleeswaren en artisjokken. Daarna diamanthaas met chimichurrie, patatas bravas, groene pepers, kippendijen en courgette frites met parmezaan. Aan te raden!na hadden we crème catalana en affogato, ook lekker!!!

Clearly not set up for larger groups. The "we'll do something" menu was limited because, among other things, the chicken was gone and desert from the menu was also partly gone. Considering we had made a reservation days in advance, it was actually embarrassing. Quite a lot of money, not much to eat. They would have been better off with 2 to 4 people, but 11 was clearly too much. It was still very cozy, but a terrace with a snack platter across the street would have been equivalent.

We waren wat laat met reserveren, gelukkig kregen we nog een plekje aan de bar. Wat een gezellige, relaxte sfeer! Het personeel was echt super vriendelijk - je voelt je meteen welkom. Het eten was echt heerlijk. Die bruschetta was de beste ooit...beter dan Italie. De calamares waren een absolute hit. Zowel de gefrituurde als die van de plancha waren top - perfect gebakken, lekker mals. Geen taaie plakjes zoals je wel eens hebt! We komen zeker terug. Hebben binnenkort een familieweekend en dan gaan we hier sowieso weer eten. De kinderen gaan dit ook geweldig vinden. Echt een aanrader voor wie houdt van goed eten in een ongedwongen sfeer.

If you are in Spain or Italy, you sometimes come across a very simple restaurant that everyone recommends. The decor and atmosphere may not be fancy, but the food more than makes up for it. Exactly this can be compared to Tapas Sagrada. A young team in a simple restaurant with a simple interior... but these people have it figured out. The food is of top quality and extremely tasty! If you eat here you will be happy... and that is what eating out is all about, being surprised by the dishes that are served. A promising place where we will definitely return.

Wauw, wauw, wauw. Ik heb geen andere woorden voor dit geweldige plekje in het centrum van Gulpen. Het eten was echt zo verrassend en zeer smaakvol. Leuke combinaties van smaken en we zeiden gelijk tegen elkaar: hier gaan we vaker eten!!

Price performance is underground, service is underground, I don't understand why 5 stars are given here! The tapas are not true to the Spanish recipes! This is really not a good tapas bar! Answer! If you ordered rice balls or fish, for example, they were no longer available, you had to pay for the bread with the tapas!? Bread that wasn't even baked in-house, according to the waitress! The rest of the group found the service unfriendly! As I said, the price performance doesn't match! Unfortunately, our evening got off to a false start, we had to wait more than 35 minutes for our first snack (a bowl of delicious olives). There seemed to be something wrong with the end of the cash register roll that caused our order to fall through the cracks. This while customers who came after us had already been eating. Too bad but not unforgivable, otherwise 5 stars.

Wat een top restaurant. Verleden jaar al een keer wezen eten tijdens vakantie en vandaag weer. Er zijn weinig restaurants waar hé xo lekker en relaxt kan eten. Alles was lekker met een verfijnde smaak. Mochten we weer in de buurt zijn komen we zeker hier weer eten.

The dishes were delicious and enough choice for everyone, we had bread with ai oil, bruchetta with eel, spaghetti, diamond tenderloin, chocolate dessert and a kind of crème brulee. Delicious food. Gisteren hier beland na een lange fietstocht. Uitstraling trok ons aan. Vriendelijk personeel en heerlijke gerechtjes met een super prijs/kwaliteitverhouding. Hier krijg je nog echt waar voor je geld. Dus let op bestel niet te veel tegelijk…. zoals wij deden.

Beautiful well presented dishes. The calamaris were nice and crispy and soft on the inside. The chorizo ​​croquettes were better than you get in Spain. Good flavor and nice and crispy (unlike in Spain). The elderflower, strawberry parfait was also full of flavour. The price was very reasonable.

Very nice, not too big, cozy and authentic tapas restaurant. As a 37 year old, I went on holiday to Spain for over 20 years. However, I have not yet found a single tapas restaurant in the Netherlands with real authentic Spanish flavors. Not to mention the chains with microwave tapas. This business, run by very sweet, hospitable and, above all, skilled people, has at least told me. Pleasantly surprised. Delicious food, great service. In my opinion, everything a good restaurant needs. Even though we have to drive for over half an hour, it is absolutely worth it. Chapeau Diana en Luc! Wat een geweldig restaurant. De Spaanse en Mediterrane tapas zijn heerlijk en omdat niet alles tegelijk op tafel komt is t erg gezellig eten met elkaar. The food was updressed but mediocre, many things that were likely straight from sligro and into the deep fryer. Atmosphere was mediocre with crying babies, dust on everywhere that cannot be seen by people shorter than 180cm. We had to wait about 40 minutes between dishes, portions were good though. We did leave earlier than planned though, as it just took too long to get the food. Lastly, the girl that served us was great. She cleaned up after the family with the baby that left an absolute mess, helped everyone out on the upper floor, and pretty much ran up the stairs every minute (I assume the whole day)

Wederom verbaasd, verrast en genoten van een heerlijke culinaire avond. Complimenten welke met 5 sterren worden beoordeeld, maar eigelijk een 10 verdienen. Van onze zijde geen enkele negatieve opmerking, een geweldige avond. Een hartelijk welkom door de eigenaresse en een tafel/plek aangeboden die ons zinde. Hierna van een verrukkelijke welkomstcocktail genoten, waarna wij bij goede uitleg van de menukaart een tiental tapagerechten bestelden. Welke met voldoende tussenpozen met uitleg geserveerd werden. Fenominaal deze tongstrelingen en zo perfect gecombineerd. Alles goed op smaak en juiste temperatuur. Het aanbevolen Fourchette biertje, het Liefmans 0.0% biertje voor de dames en onze driver en de aanbevolen wijntjes erbij smaakten verrukkelijk. Complimenten voor de gastvriendelijkheid, bediening, uitleg, het voedsel bereidend en serverend personeel. Met bewondering hebben we gekeken hoe het koksteam in hun beperkte ruimte dit alles zo perfect voor elkaar toveren. Tot slot, de prijs/kwaliteitverhouding verdient ook een tien. We komen zeker spoedig terug. Nogmaals van harte bedankt.

Leuke bediening, uitstekend gegeten en het was heerlijk

Vriendelijke bediening. Het eten was oké. Ik heb betere tapas gegeten. Feta uit de oven moet naar mijn mening echt smeuïger én in een sausje waar je lekker met wat brood in kan dippen. De viskroketten, aranchini smaakten naar niks, de albondigas hadden evenmin smaakt, beetje flauw. Chorizokroketten waren lekker, evenals de fetaspinazie driehoekjes. Ook de aubergine was lekker. En als je een nieuw drankje besteld, is het wel fijn als je gewoon een nieuw glas krijgt met ijs, en niet het vette houdt. Best prijzig voor sommige gerechten die niet smaakvol waren. Voor mij niet voor herhaling vatbaar.

Per toeval kwamen we hier terecht. Ik heb zelden op deze manier tapas gegeten.. en toch echt wel veel ervaring .. Het was allemaal fantastisch.. goed op Smaak .. met aandacht.. top bediening .. fijne mannen .. Een echte aanrader 🫶

This place is a gem of a restaurant in the central area of Gulpen. The mix of Spanish, Italian and Greek ‘small plates’ is creative and beautifully presented. The range of meats, fish and vegetables on offer is also impressive. We went twice in three days to try and get through the majority of items on the menu, plus ‘specials’. The wine list was also well thought through based on the menu and the cocktails were excellent! The atmosphere was relaxed and background music was a nice addition without being intrusive. The staff were attentive, helpful, well informed and friendly. We will definitely return when next in this part of the Netherlands.
