What a surprise this place is! And even more so when you've been stuck in Amsterdam for days and you're Spanish 🙂 Ferni served us, and what a wonderful girl! She helped us with several questions we had, and besides... I TRIED SOME OF THE BEST AIOLI IN THE WORLD (not even in Spain!). The garlic prawns were delicious, as were the bread and the sirloin skewers—the meat was cooked perfectly and incredibly tender. Thank you, Ferni, for everything! 💕 🫂

The tapas leave much to be desired and the Andalusian waiter has very little desire to work; from time to time you see him with his hands in his pockets leaning against the bar. The place is quite dirty.

An absolutely amazing Catalan restaurant in the heart of Amsterdam. ​From the first course to the last, everything we ordered was excellent and the portions were more than adequate. For a Catalan, price is an important point, and this place offers a quality-price ratio almost comparable to what we could find at home. ​The result? The experience was so rewarding that we repeated it the very next day. ​Totally recommended!

It has a nice tapas bar atmosphere, like in Barcelona, ​​in a slightly less popular neighborhood. The music is a bit louder. I like it.

This bar is rubbish, nothing like Spanish bars. The service is terrible and it's very expensive. You have to ask for everything two or three times, but the first thing they do is put it on the bill. I won't go back even if they give it to me for free.

With a more Spanish touch, the tapas were good, as were the drinks; we ordered some beers with tapas. The place is easy to find thanks to its awning and distinctive colors. It has a nice, warm atmosphere on cold days.

10 euros for a non-bravas is quite the steal. 10 euros/5 croquetas, and quality was pretty low.

The ambiance was okay. The service was terrible. The food was very greasy. The portions are really large, and if you don't mind the fat content, you can eat it. We had dates wrapped in bacon and boquerones fritas, which tasted good, but as I said, everything was quite greasy. The bread was fresh, crusty, and fluffy. The aioli was also a large portion, but it had hardly any flavor—lots of garlic, yes, but no salt (maybe typical for tapas, I don't know). The restrooms were clean. The young guy behind the counter was friendly. However, we also ordered chicken wings and two beers. None of them were brought to us, but they were recorded and they wanted to charge us for them. Since I suspected something like this might happen, I checked the bill beforehand. And as expected, they wanted to charge us for something we didn't receive. The bill was corrected, but the two beers were still listed. So it seemed a bit like it was deliberate. What's also unacceptable and strange: soft drinks are available, but they're not on the menu. Right. Just like in those rip-off supermarkets that don't have prices marked and then want €4 for a small bottle of water.

A cozy Catalan tapas bar with a great atmosphere in the heart of Amsterdam, where you can enjoy truly delicious Iberian and Mediterranean food. This place made us feel like we were in Spain while we were dining. The service was charming, friendly, kind, and very attentive to customers. The Mediterranean feel is appreciated in the North. As for the food, you can find different typical dishes that you would find in a Catalan or Spanish bar. The food is truly delicious. We loved it and will definitely come back if we return.

Most of the customers and employees are Spanish-speaking, which is clearly a good sign. Tapas are a bit more expensive than in Spain for sure but still a good price in Amsterdam. Bit crowded but it has some good vibes. Offer multiple types of drink options, will definitely visit again!

We tried 4 different dishes that were suppose to be the most popular for them and it was all really bland and underwhelming. i am now pretty convinced the standards for food in amsterdam is quite low and filled with tourists that come and go. The server we had was unfriendly, quite rude and overcharged for items that we asked and did not get. It might have. been partially language and her unwillingness to understand basic request for ordinary items that most people need when they eat the food. I have yet to find one place in Amsterdam in my week here that would qualify as good or just decent. This place was just annoying, low quality food and not memorable in any way.

The waiters are very friendly and speak Spanish, which makes it even more cozy. Terrible service, very slow and the place unhygienic.

Food was average but the service was appalling. Waited nearly an hour for 7 dishes to trickle out, 2 of which never arrived plus drinks we never ordered and we were still charged for. The owner was extremely rude and clearly does not like tourists (we aren't tourists!) even though he is in the tourist district and they clearly are his trade. Check your bill!!!

A true oasis of Spanish food in a desert of fast food and international restaurants. Highly recommended, and the waiter, Hakin, is a true Alicante genius.

Absolute rubbish. The food is terrible, the service worse. There's absolutely nothing Catalan about it, and it's even offensive to any Catalan to be presented with "Catalan food." A little advice: you should get another job, since you're not good at this one.

Spectacular. We ordered tapas and apart from being served super fast, even though the place was full, everything was delicious. We ate chorizo, potato omelette, squid, shrimp and bread with aioli. I didn't even have time to take pictures... we will definitely repeat if we return to Amsterdam!!! Thanks for everything and to the chefs because they are professionals.

You can speak Catalan and Spanish and eat typical Catalan and Spanish tapas...the kids are all very nice....

This used to be my favorite place but people are so rude. Personnel told me I can’t use toilet even though it was perfectly fine. Love the food, though people aren’t okay

“The owner” with the “Tapas tattoo” wouldn’t let us use the toilet and threatened me that guys like me end up in the canal… Even after eating for 100+ euros and leaving a tip. Would definitely not recommend this place to anyone. Enjoy Amsterdam and please skip the place — A kind advice of a local.

The place is quite nice, to be honest. The food is well prepared, although perhaps the ingredients are noticeable, as they aren't all Spanish. In any case, it's recommended, much better than other similar places. The menu may be a bit limited, but it's understandable.

Great place and met the owner who is a fantastic man. I first came here in 1998, and the owner opened this place in 1989. Sardines, baby squid etc are superb.

They forgot a portion of my food and scrutinized me when pointing it out when the bill came. The croquettes were cold in the middle, they clearly warmed them up from the freezer. They didn’t check in once after serving their unremarkable plates. I had high hopes but this place turned out to be fake tapas in a Dutch city.

I was with my boyfriend had a dinner there. Food was okay! Nothing special. I used to come here last year and everything was great and amazing service, friendly people but not anymore. Service especially very bad with one guy with the tattoos behind his back arm “tapas “ with , he was so rude and even screaming to another person who’s next to us and they left and also another person next to us left and just had drinks because he was so grumpy and rude! Bad experience i had this time. Will not come back again. And food was two times coming on the table with the wrong ordered

Very expensive for just two tapas. It doesn't at all represent the Spanish culture that its colors and name suggest.

A terrible experience. The manager, a real character, came into the bar saying he was going to take the old lady's entire pension off the table for tapas. The food was terrible, we had to send it back. The only good thing about the place was the bartender, who was attentive to us at all times. The tapas are nothing like Spanish tapas. Good food as it was a year ago, unfortunately, the place was dirty and our waitress came with filthy apron, wasn't knowledgeable on the menu either, wasn't great first impression. We were waiting for the food to come for ages (all to do with the waitress). Last year when we visited Amsterdam we came daily, unfortunately it changes all after this visit.
