Best almond croissants in Den Haag, if not best I have ever tasted! Pain aux raisins also much tastier than from another local French bakery. Small, welcoming place with friendly staff.

This eclair was without a doubt the best I have ever had! Fluffy, crispy, creamy and full of flavour! Definitely a must-try.

In my opinion the best French bakery in The Hague. I think it's great in terms of price-quality ratio! Eclairs, bread and croissants delicious. Also a big fan of the homemade jams.

Amazing pastries, we tried several different items and the coffee eclair was the best either have had before (so good we came back and got one for the next day). I only wish there is someplace to sit and enjoy the delicious food, but it is take away only.

I have had the flan, gâteau basque, and the éclairs (vanille, chocolat, pistache). Absolutely everything was amazing. I've tried the French pastries around in the area and I recommend here the most as the portions, taste, quality is top notch. I am so glad to have discovered the place and as coming from Tokyo with many French pastries and personally have friends who are patisserie chefs from France, I approve. The flan yes was amazing and what is the fuss of the negative reviews about them? Long live Tartine, and Denis I hope to have more of your quality products soon! :D Bon courage et à bientôt ! :)

Following the reviews I went to this place and bought vanilla flan. It was very disappointing. It actually made me angry. The pastry base is totally undercooked, and soggy, which can clearly be seen in the photos that I uploaded. I could clearly see the specks of the vanilla beans in the custard, which I thought was a good sign, as it indicated to me that they used real vanilla pods. But then I couldn't taste almost any vanilla, it just had a stale, bland and fatty (I wanna say) flavour. If they used real vanilla, this means that the flan is so stale that it can't be tasted. It's really sad. Update: The owner responded (see below) less than an hour after I posted my review. Clearly, the business is thriving if he can dedicate so much time to addressing negative feedback so elaborately—and even inviting critics to say it to his face. And then what? Is he going to fight us? Is he 12 years old? It’s absurd. To be honest, one reason I decided to try his products was precisely his spirited responses to other negative reviews. I thought, here’s someone proud of his work. But after tasting the flan, it’s clear his confidence is all attitude and no substance. Instead of spending time arguing with customers online, he might consider taking a patisserie workshop in Paris to improve his technique—or at least sampling authentic patisserie to refine his palate, as some of us have done. I won’t be returning—not just because I fear what his other products might be like if this flan is his bestseller and his personal favourite, but also because I wouldn’t feel safe voicing my honest opinion to him in person.

The spot is amazing, I loved the almond croissant. Would be even better if there is a little bench outside :) as the sun shines perfectly next to the entrance. I totally recommend it!!

Edit: Today I had the salted caramel eclair, pistachio eclair and flan vanille. Both eclairs were delicious but the flan vanille might be the worst dessert I have ever had. I almost threw up. It looked amazing but tasted awfully like eggs. I think this is the best French patisserie in The Hague and I wanted to help them out by writing this. I tried chocolate, coffee and vanilla eclairs. Each one is amazing with its dough and cream! The chocolate one took me back to my childhood. I strongly recommend it. I’ll continue to visit until I try all their varieties.

If you like really tasty (French) bread

The pistachio eclair had a dominant almond extract taste, which I was very upset about. At this price, I would have expected only pistachio flavor from an eclair.

It was ok, nothing spectacular. We tried a croissant with chocolate and a pastry with custard cream and chocolate. I liked that it wasn’t very sweet but on the other hand I expected it to be more crunchy. But I guess this place is like a typical French boulangerie and just like in France they prefer a special type of dough. Other than that I was disappointed that there was no coffee or other drinks sold. We didn’t try any desserts but they looked very good. I guess you should come here for them rather than for pastry.

Very good bakery, the eclairs and brownies are super tasty

Today I visited the store for the first time on the recommendation of my brother, a real gourmand. The wonderful smell of freshly baked bread!! On advice I ordered eclairs au caramel beurre sale. Insanely delicious!!! Taste the baguette tonight and tomorrow... chocolate eclairs! I'm already looking forward to it! It's a long drive for us from Westland, but it's definitely worth it!!

Pleasant staff, beautiful presentation of pastries, pizza available and by the slice too. They speak French so that helps personally. The pastries were good.

Very nice French bakery. The choco choc was the absolute heaven for chocolate lovers (me).

I bought a macaron from here today which was incredibly stale and nothing like how a macaron should be. I went back after taking a bite and showed the owner, I was told it was because it had been in the fridge and that after ‘30 minutes it should soften’. Considering it was like a tough cookie texture, I was disappointed that the owner would not be upfront about selling an unsatisfactory product. I will not be returning. Update : In response to the owner’s comments, I did tell him and show how hard the macaron was but he insisted that was normal. It’s not. Their products are expired and they make excuses to hide that.

Went there based on the good reviews and didn’t like it. The bread and croissant felt like low quality for us. Yes it’s fluffy and buttery but I don’t taste a quality difference from those in the grocery store. The eclair is firm, the coffee is alright. Overall a not so good experience.

Naast de excellente smaak is de service erg goed en toeschietelijk. We hebben een gepersonaliseerde rode fruit roomtaart mogen afhalen binnen een half uur was het geregeld. Chapeau en merci beaucoup!

Denis en zijn équipe zijn een verrijking voor de buurt. Heerlijk brood (probeer de pain d’antan), geweldige viennoiseries, vooral de croissants, en heerlijk gebak. De quiches zijn ook voortreffelijk. En probeer ook eens de foie gras! Ik heb vijftien jaar in Parijs gewoond en met Tartine heb ik Parijs op vijf minuten loopafstand!

Everything at Tartine is delicious! They have the best croissants, baguettes and pains au chocolat in town. It’s a family owned business. The owner and the staff are super nice.

De lekkerste ambachtelijke bakker van Den Haag. Het stokbrood, de croissants, etc. heerlijk! Ook het gebak en de hartige dingen. Wij komen altijd met meer terug dan we ons hadden voorgenomen. En vergeet niet de amandel croissants te proeven!
