Teds Rotterdam - Op het Dak in Rotterdam Centrum

Compré un vale High Tea para Ted a través de Social Deal, pero en su mayoría era solo pan, y no creo que valiera la pena el precio. Realmente necesitan revisar lo que un té alto debe incluir. Aparte de eso, el servicio fue genial.

Gevraagd naar glutenvrije mogelijkheden. De chilly steak op brood was niet glutenvrij!! Thuis enorm ziek van geworden! Ted's instrueer al uw medewerkers of zeg dat er geen glutenvrij eten is, mega teleurstelling en hele dag verpest.

We hadden een tafeltje met goed zicht op de keuken. Daar kon ik zien dat de kok ( of hulpje) het eten iig lekker vond. Likte regelmatig zijn vingers af en ging verder met eten rangschikken op de borden. Eten bleef lang staan staan voordat het uitgeserveerd werd. Denk dat de ijsbloemen er onderhand wel op stonden. Het eten zelf,.. ik heb in mijn leven nog nooit zulke droge pancakes gegeten. Bleef gewoon in mijn keel haken. En dat voor 14 euro. Wc's waren ook niet erg fris Al met al .. dikke afrader deze tent. Ik schrijf echt nooit reviews, maar ik maak hierbij graag een uitzondering om mensen te waarschuwen voor Teds.

Un amigo nos invitó a desayunar aquí. Gran sorpresa. Bonitos huevos Benedict, uno con salmón y otro con jamón, y tostadas francesas con tocino y plátano. Ambiente y personal relajado y amable. Gran techo - ubicación ideal en el centro del centro de Rotterdam.

Jammer dat ik niet eerst op tripadvisor had gekeken dan was ik hier niet heen gegaan. Teds Lijnbaan Het eten was enorm teleurstellend, als je het menu leest en de beschrijving van de gerechten bouw je toch een verwachting op. Wij hadden een philly cheese steak, brood was niet getoast en erg flauwe smaak echt niet aan te raden. Ook hadden we een chicken katsu, smaken vielen echt tegen weinig saus en het was lauw. Dan hadden we nog pancakes met blauwe bessen en pecan, Je krijgt hier drie hele kleine dunne pancakes. Blauwe bessen eroverheen gegooid met een beetje caramel en enorm veel pecan noten, slagroom was al helemaal ingezakt toen ze het aan tafel bracht. Op het einde vonden wij nog een haar tussen de pancakes en dit hebben wij aangegeven hierop kregen we weinig reactie, ook gezegd dat we het eten niet lekker vonden en het heel erg tegen viel. Ze heeft ons korting aangeboden op de bon, Uiteindelijk hebben wij 5 euro korting gekregen. Terwijl pancakes waarvan wij nauwelijks hadden gegeten al 14 euro waren……..

Het eten was super lekker. Philly cheese steak is een echte aanrader, het vlees is mals en de smaaksensatie is alles waar je op hoopt! The chicken katsu was lekker maar niet heel bijzonder. De prijs is wat aan de hoge kant voor wat je krijgt. De locatie maakt veel goed, prachtig uitzicht.

Very nice setting, worth sitting outside on sunny days, but it the tables right next to the garden are quite small for two. The food was very yummie, a bit small, but delicious. Saw the High Tea next table, looks very good, will try it next time. And friendly service, really like the vibe here, will definitely come back.

Went for a brunch with my sister. Weather was lovely so we could still enjoy the terrace. The staff was nice, even thought they did not ask if we needed sugar for our coffees, nor if we needed salt/pepper for our food. In general both of our orders were incredibly bland, felt a little bit like a waste of money. No flavour whatsoever. We also ordered a piece of cake to make up for the sad meal, but that as well was as appealing as a dry sandal.

It takes a while to find the entrance, but it is completely worth it. The small roof terrace is perfect when the weather is nice, we had a lovely lunch outside in the sun at the end of October. The staff is friendly and the food very tasty. Definitely recommended! Important: there is an elevator, but you have to climb a flight of stairs from there.

Had a great brunch here, the churro pancakes and the glazed donut & chicken was amazing and very delicious. The price was also very much worth it and the food was very fresh and came quickly. Service was also fantastic and very great, everyone was super friendly and enthusiastic and helpful in picking out what to have, A+ service. Thank you to our great server Sanne! Will definitely be back :)

Perfect location for a (business) lunch. Not over the top like many locations in the area. The menu is diverse and has a good selection for everyone! I will definitely come back here again.

The high tea was fine but service was sadly non existent.. the tea took 30 minutes and we had to ask for it twice?? Didnt come with milk and sugar we asked 2 times but ended up having to go to the front to ask for it again... we almost finished the food before we were able to enjoy tea.. very dissapointing and i wouldnt recommend having your high tea here.

The first "Ted's" we visited. From the outside the building is inconspicuous, but once you get to the top of the roof you are in a beautiful ambience with a great garden on the roof. The offer is varied and everything was very tasty. The staff was very friendly. Unfortunately the weather wasn't great.

On top floor with seating at terrace, nice spot. Croquettes under Vgn choice was delicious although pornstar martini french toast were not moist at all. You expect french toast to be absolutely soaked in the liquid and then grilled or properly made crisp but the one I had was crisp but not moist. Also we wanted to order “Mimosa Jug” but they ran out of orange juice at 12:30 brunch time which doesn’t sound good service as orange juice is not a difficult recipe to make. Also AH is just like 2 mins bike from there, just in case they want to stock up. Reservations are little mandate for this location. You can try luck without reserving but might be difficult to get seats of your choice.

Enjoyed a Vega High Tea outside on the terrace with a view of (dakakker.nl). Friendly service and delicious snacks. Great mix between savory and sweet. Highly recommended to visit.

We were there for breakfast on Saturday. So far so good, reserved, everything worked out. Location is quite nice so far, cozy with a good view over the city. Of course, the terrace garden wasn't as nice anymore because everything had been harvested and it was left that way. The food came, there were four of us. My son ordered a breakfast burger, really nice to look at, but the meat patty was completely left out because it was hard and dry. When asked if everything was fine, we mentioned it, the answer was “oh sorry” and that was it. Hmmm... We should pay for everything I didn't do for the patty. Service and guest management could definitely be optimized. It was really nice, I wouldn't have to repeat it.

Have eaten at Teds twice now. Unfortunately it's the same as the first time: food is great and really tasty, but the service really ruins it for coming again in the future. the employees talk so loudly that visitors look at each other in amazement. we sat for 40 minutes before we got any drinks or food. It all just takes a very long time, you have to ask for napkins yourself, for example, because if you have to wait for them to come to your table, you can wait a very long time. This is such a shame and such a shame! Teds itself is very nice, nice concept and beautifully decorated, so the food is also tasty. But do something about the employees because this is really a SIN

An absolutely delightful experience having brunch. I sat outside, with varying degrees of sun and cloud, enjoying a scrumptious plate of Turkish Eggs with Ginger Spice Tea (asked for milk on the side). They did not have the NY Cheesecake at the time, so that was a bit of a let down, I took croissant with jam instead. However, I look forward to visiting again for the cheesecake. Points to note: 1. The Google Directions take you to the side of the building. The actual way to the lift (and staircase) is to the front facing the vehicular underpass. 2. Since their terrace is actually a terrace, with an actual garden, you might have visits by bees and flies.

The food here is delicious and there is a lot of choice! Very inclusive due to the vegetarian and halal options :) It is often busy, but it remains very structured (compared to many other eating places) despite the crowds. The employees help you quickly enough and work super efficiently, so the crowds are almost unnoticeable.

Had a great meal with my girlfriend for her birthday and received a fountain especially for that. The service was great and we enjoyed it immensely. The food was also delicious

We had high tea with the 4 of us. Very tasty things! Great high tea! Good combination of savory and sweet. Delicious fresh ginger/mint tea. Indicated that I had an allergy, this was handled very politely. Staff very friendly. Nice location, cozy with a great view. Recommended! If I had to think of a negative point, there is no air conditioning, so it is hot on a very hot day.

Wonderful place for brunch in Rotterdam city. It really is a relaxing and cozy place to start your day. They have many different and healthy dishes. The food was tasty and unique. I don't often order a chicken donut, but it is definitely recommended. You can go up with the elevator if you walk just past the yellow transition outside. You can easily park around the corner in a garage.

The place is very cute, I absolutely love the roof garden, the view and the ambience. Service also great. I came a few times for coffees and it’s a very good spot for it but I recently had brunch and that was a bit disappointing. Had the triple omega, poached eggs and mushrooms on bread. First of all the sauce is extra which is weird. The bread was dry and not very good and there was just eggs and mushrooms on it, without condiment, oil or anything. For how much it cost it was a bit bland and disappointing. I will go back other times for coffee but not food.

Going for brunch on a hot day to enjoy the rooftop. Unfortunately there was no room outside anymore, so we sat inside. We ordered iced lattes with oat milk and some dishes. The triple omega's poached eggs were hard-boiled, making them quite dry. Eggs benedict and chicken Katsu were okay.

Location is difficult to find, from the outside you can't see where to go up. We sat there for 20 minutes without anyone from the waiter coming to take our order. So not recommended.

Ordered 2x Vega Chandon brunch worth 50 euros per person. This was indicated in advance and was confirmed on the day itself. Yet we were served twice, first dishes with chicken and then with ham. You had to wait a very long time for the food and the vegetarian dishes were minimalist for 50 euros per person: 2 pieces of sourdough bread with hummus and peppers, avocado with mushrooms, waffle fries, 2x French toasts and mini pancakes with chocolate. The bread was tough and not baked properly. After giving our feedback, we were clearly whispered about in the kitchen several times and pointed at us. It was also initially indicated that another dish would be made for us, but this did not happen. Definitely not recommended and certainly not value for money. Location is nice for the view and a drink.

Ted's offers a good view and a nice brunch, all in the heart of Rotterdam. The place is decorated nicely, creating a pleasant atmosphere for a relaxing meal, a bit pricy for the quantity but still very worth it. A great spot to enjoy the city vibes and tasty food.

A highly disappointing experience. Excitement about the prospect of having a vegan brunch on a gorgeous rooftop in Rotterdam brought us to TED’s. Unfortunately, the excitement was totally uncalled for. When we entered an almost empty TED’s, because we didn’t have a reservation, we were told we couldn’t sit outside in the morning sun, not even for a first drink (despite most tables remaining empty during our visit). Weirdly inflexible and a ted disappointing, but fair enough. We ordered a cappuccino with Oatly and informed if a cold cappuccino was possible from a kind server. When we got our drinks, the cold cappuccino turned out to be an iced latte with caramel syrup (almost twice the price of a cappuccino) without us having asked for this. My table partner who ordered the cold cappu didn’t want the sugary drink, so we told the staff. They told us they didn’t have (?) just an iced cappuccino (mind you: the same cappu but with ice cubes, which they obviously did have). I was however okay to finish the drink. They did still charge us for the more expensive drink though. Kind of a bummer, but sure, we drank the unordered expensive drink in the end. The real issue we had with our experience, came after we explicitly ordered VEGAN French toast whilst pointing to the vegan section on the menu… Literally couldn’t have been more clear when ordering. We got our French toast, but after looking at it more closely, we discover that the bacon wasn’t vegan at all. They served us a body part of an actual dead animal! We were very appalled by this, and walked to the kitchen to inform them of their mistake. The person hearing this let us stand there with our plate in our hand (whilst, presumably, checking up the order on a computer), after which we awkwardly just put it down on their counter and walked back to our table. After a while, they came back with the actual vegan version. At this point they apologized (thank you) and offered the French toast on the house. Sad thing was, that the toast was REALLY dry and tough, one or the worst things we’ve eaten in years, especially for that price. Afterwards, we also discovered the oat milk tax on the bill… really! It’s 2024 for crying out loud. The true cost of animal milk is indisputably higher than that of oat milk. A place like TED really is behind in that, nowadays. For us, last time we’ve visited TED.

We reserved a table this morning for lunch and what a surprise when we arrived on the 7th floor: CLOSED..... How is it possible to reserve when everything is closed?.... Google said that everything was open . Damage

The place is a bit hidden, an elevator is available but unfortunately did not work completely today. We had made a reservation with a special request, which was confirmed to me again by phone. I arrived and no information was known to the waitress. That was a bit annoying. Food was okay, somewhat unmotivated on the plates. Drinks and price were ok.

I was with my partner and the blonde waitress treated us like animals. First he told me that he didn't have my reservation, when I had reserved it and after searching for it for 30 minutes he told me that he already had it but that he only had a limited time of 40 minutes. He sat us down and without looking at the menu he calmly asked us for the drink. And after eating I take away our plates so we can leave. The truth is that the treatment leaves a lot to be desired.

The promise of a new breakfast venue in Rotterdam was too much to ignore. The venue is located very centrally on the Lijnbaan in Rotterdam and was nice and busy when visited. Sadly, the service in regard to those who are either gluten intolerant and/or carb restricted was less than appealing. When I asked if I could order the Breakfast Burrito without the tortilla, I was told that that was NOT an option. I was told that the burritos were pre-made, and that flexibility was NOT an option. The manager on duty was quite confrontational which was a pity. I am not sure whether the manner of dealing with my request, the pre-made nature of the FRESH food or the general approach was more upsetting. Anyway, but of a let down to say the least…

Very unique restaurant, great dining experience.

Me and my boyfriend were excited to have a late lunch at the rooftop location after having a good experience at Lijnbaan before. However upon arrival we were told they closed their kitchen already (remind you it was 15:30 and they close 17:00 according to their website). Very disappointing :( We were told this was because they were understaffed, but there were only two other customers present, so it felt a bit odd.

The hightea was delicious but the elevator stopped working so we were stuck for a while. Take the stairs

The rooftop garden is beautiful. The food is okay. The fries with parmesan and truffle mayonnaise are very strong in flavour. We asked an extra toast and it was not really good. The service is very bad. When we arrived, it was very disorganised. They asked for my name twice. The reception was not good. We had to get up to order because the waitress did not come to our table. We also had to go to pay the bill. I recommend it for the view, but only if you have a lot of time to wait.

They mixed up our order a little bit but quickly fixed it and even gave us one of our coffees for free to make up for it. Great service and I loved the food too. Unique experience as well.

Nice food, place is very instagramable, nice decorations, outside terrace is small and warm when sunny. Garden is not accessible. All in all very cute, romantic, and good food. Lift is old and creepy. You have to climb the last stairs from the highest floor reached by the lift to get to the cafe. Small cafe but unique. Difficult to find though

I don't recommend going here. I thought I could have breakfast here on my own for my birthday. When I came in the lady asked if I had made a reservation, I said no and then she stammered a bit that they were very busy and that she was alone. Finally got a table. I sat there for 20 minutes, without anyone coming to at least have a drink. I heard the ladies who were working say very loudly to each other: you know what I'm really fed up with is that we are understaffed every day! I feel sorry for these ladies that nothing is done with this, judging by the other reviews it has not been a success in terms of service and operation for a long time. You would think that as an owner you would take action about this. I finally left and had breakfast at Lilith.

Chaotic eatery! Lots of 'tasty' things on the menu! But it is small, messy and not clean. Food was prepared by staff without gloves! Not worth repeating!

Really tasty food and good coffee, but the service has no structure at all. There appears to be no manager present, which means that important things are missing, such as reception, consistent service and the ability to solve problems. We were sitting outside and had ordered food when it suddenly started to rain heavily. The terrace has no awning or canopy so we asked to go inside. After asking twice, we were told that the place was already fully booked. This seems logical, but it takes one look at the weather forecast and a brief explanation upon entering that you cannot enter if it starts to rain to prevent such a situation. Now we sat with our hands above the pancakes and chips to prevent our food from raining away. It was pretended that it was the most normal thing in the world for guests to rain away on the terrace. I read other reviews that you have to do everything yourself, that's also true. Service is just very bad. Too bad about our first visit to this business, but not recommended.

It's hard to rate this place. I'll start with the decor and location. 5 out of 5. beautiful view of the terrace, garden and bees in the back. speed of service 2. three other tables came in after me. two of them happened to get their food before I was asked what I would like to order. I waited 30 minutes for this question. I ordered an English breakfast. a strong disappointment. In my opinion, the price does not reflect the quality. apart from the fact that everything on the plate was simply cold. I recommend coming just for a coffee. not for food.

We came here for brunch for Mother's Day and we had a great time. We had a delicious meal and there was a nice atmosphere.

Price-quality is out of balance, I found it very expensive and messy.

Things were clearly not in order. Had to wait 30 minutes for our drinks and later orders also arrived (too) late. As a result, everything at our table took longer. After dinner we placed an order for cocktails which was duly taken. 5 minutes later we were told that our reservation time was up and we actually had to go. Not happy with it! So we just wait and then leave before we're done? Whether the last order had to be removed from the receipt... I think so. In the toilet there is still a poster of an event from March 30 (it is now May 11) and it is advertised using The Good Roll, which was nowhere to be seen. No soap and towels. The ATM machine was also dirty. These ladies clearly can't handle the job. We won't come a second time.

FYI I have eaten here twice now and ordered the same thing: chicken katsu sandwich. The first time I had brunch here with my friend from the states was on 14/07/2023, we shared an order of fries which were delicious. My order of their chicken katsu sandwich was amazing at that visit. The mint tea was nice — but not so out of this world or anything. However the second time I came on a solo date lunch and my chicken katsu sandwich was not the same, the chicken was dry 😭 and tasted so different. So I don’t desire to order it again BUT I would still be up for coming back here again and trying something different on their menu. The terrace is just beautiful with all the wildflowers, bees… service is great, they have a cute atmosphere, clean bathrooms, free WiFi. It’s a pretty girly spot, so I only saw other ladies eating together unless a lady brought her man. So I would still recommend this spot — it’s got a cute vibe, friendly staff, and nice atmosphere 🙏🏼

This place is a real disappointment. Everything is very badly organized, something was burned in the kitchen and it was almost impossible to stay inside (and to be seated on the terrace you really have to wait a lot, because they simply forget about you and place there other people, even though they told us we were in the line); waiters ignored us and didn’t take dirty dishes, even from people who were seating there before us; we were waiting for our food for an hour, in the end we got completely cold food (which was supposed to be freshly cooked) - it seems our meal was just forgotten in the kitchen. We asked to put it in the microwave (with such a service, you don’t expect them to make new one), and in overall food was also quite bad, nothing special and tasteless. Last but not least, no toilet paper in the toilet. This place is really overhyped, the view isn’t worth that.

Really nice to visit, I would suggest if it’s sunny to go there. You can make really beautiful pictures and the service is fast. Would recommend going again for lunch or maybe a cute high tea. 🤍🫖🫧✨

Had made a reservation and wanted to sit outside. However, it was full and we had to wait until a table became available. It was so noisy inside that I couldn't hear my table companion. So we left for another terrace. A disappointing experience.

A surprise baby shower... Super busy and chaotic, upon arrival (15 minutes before the start) the previous group was still at the reserved table before us and everything still had to be cleared, cleaned and decorated. The decorations (old worn streamers with hurray a girl) could be left out. We quickly decorated ourselves with our own things in 5 minutes. We start with the baby shower brunch at 1.40 pm: 1 jug of teapot and 3x bowls with garnish (pieces of ginger, lemon and mint) are brought for 12 people. No spoons, teapot was also broken. Where does the rest go? Yes, it happens like this. There will finally be an explanation afterwards.. Would we kindly leave promptly at 2:45 PM due to the next reservation? Note that half an hour later there are still no tea bags or "the rest" to be seen. Asks again: yes, it's all coming! They finally arrive at 2.20 pm with 4 ordered coffees, 2 more tea pots and 5 minutes later the brunch snacks, again without tea bags and cutlery for eating. Only 15 minutes to eat and then it was time. Don't mind stopping in time, but make sure you have your affairs in order. This was not high tea, this was an expensive rush tea.. Totally not worth it for 30 euros per person! And we won't start with the communication in advance. Emailing and calling is pointless... the manager is "never available". Never again!

Afternoon tea for 4 people. Etagères well filled with tasty snacks. Unfortunately very stingy with the tea bags. Even after asking, we received 1 extra tea bag.

We had a reservation and wanted to start my mother's 75th birthday with her child and grandchildren with a nice brunch at Ted's. Of course I made a reservation and also received a confirmation. But when we were there the shop was closed. Something like that is impossible. Everyone was very disappointed and we had to spontaneously look for something else. My phone number and email were available, so a prior cancellation could have taken place!

Great location and a nice selection of tasty dishes. I had the Shakshuka and it was great. Personally, I would prefer if the bread was toasted (also for the Sandwiches) but I guess that's just an individual preference :)

Orderd BEC bagel, As I often do. It has always came with scrambled eggs for atleast 8+ times tell my why this time the same sandwich came with white eggs? Not scrambled at all. Terrible I'm deeply dissapointed in this restaurant for this small change only white eggs are disgusting. Why change it after months/(maybe years) of having the same sandwich. My morning is ruined thanks teds :)

Delicious food, but what chaos. You can only sit for 45 minutes and this makes you feel very rushed. It's a shame, quality drops due to the urge for profit...... an extra 15 minutes would do it!

This place is amazing! The rooftop garden seating is the perfect place to enjoy a drink in Rotterdam and I will be back soon. I have a question about the beehives in the garden! Is maintaining them difficult? Beautiful spot, beautiful food.

Very honest; I don't recommend this. I had to hang my coat outside for 3 nights because of the penetrating frying smell that hung there. It may even have to be dry cleaned. Could we have left when we came in? Yes, because it already smelled then. But I didn't do it (sorry). There is also beer with alcohol as 0.0 on the menu ('vrijwit 0.0' while it is a 0.5 beer). Pleasant brunch, special location... I would place something (larger) of recognition on the building because it was hidden so you could easily walk past it. Friendly service, homely atmosphere.
