The Ice Cream Parlor in Wijk 01 Centrum

Google states that the ice cream parlor is open until 10:00 PM. We arrived just after 9:00 PM, and the ice cream parlor was still full of customers. The staff were also still standing behind the counter. But we were no longer served, because apparently the parlor closes at 9:00 PM on weekdays. They still needed to update this on Google. It is extremely customer-unfriendly not to serve customers when you yourself enter the closing times incorrectly and are still present or had just sold an ice cream before that. We have been coming here for years, but perhaps it is time to look for another place for an ice cream.

We bike 8K only to get ice cream here. We love it! Recently we visited so many times and made a tier list. We will update it further!

The only downside is that there are no tables outside to sit comfortably with your family. In other words, the concept is: get ice cream, sit inside, or leave. THE ICE CREAM WAS SUPER TASTY, BUT 😂

My daughter really wanted a Rocket ice cream…. So I called Brit before heading to the ice cream parlor. "Brit, do you have Rocket ice creams too? Because my daughter won't eat anything else." Before I knew it, Brit was already standing outside keeping a lookout to see if the Chinese place was open, because they most likely had a Rocket ice cream. "Unfortunately, it's Monday, so it's closed," was Brit's response after checking. We gave my daughter a Rocket ice cream at home, and after the pleasant phone call, we made the 25-minute drive anyway. Inside, we immediately asked who Brit was, and she immediately started helping enthusiastically! My wife took a cup with 2 scoops, while I took the largest cone. "Brit, how many scoops can fit in this cone?" "Well, at least 8!" Commercial talent, I'd say. "Let's do 4 scoops and serve with whipped cream. The average customer will be jealous of my ice cream!" A touch of enthusiasm can go a long way, and yes, if that phone hadn't been answered, Brit wouldn't have received this review. Thanks, Brit, for your great help. As promised, I want to help you reach 5 stars; perhaps you will already reach 4.6 instead of 4.4. Keep up the good work and have a wonderful summer!

Tasty jjs and good value for money

Always very satisfied here, but tonight; such incredibly pathetically small rolls, and that for almost 2.50 per roll. Quality fine, quantity a disaster.

Just bought a gift card. Got a card. Asked if they could wrap it in paper. Absolutely nothing. I said it was for a gift. I was told I should just wrap it at home then. I suggested that it might be nice if they put a little bit of effort into it. The ice cream is good and the girls are friendly, but I thought this was a flop.

My daughter had been trying to get me to go to this ice cream parlor for a very long time. Every time I said: “Yeah yeah, soon…” 😅 But this time I finally went… and now I understand why she kept insisting! I actually should have been sitting here from the very first invitation 😜 Beautiful and clean shop, with a cozy view of the street opposite Barendrecht town hall. The staff is super friendly and cheerful, and the ice cream is truly delicious with many flavors to choose from. The prices are also very reasonable, so even my wallet was happy 🍦😂 In short: my daughter was just right… again 😂 I will definitely be back!

The best ice creams in Barendrecht

Chugging down a big tub of ice cream, delicious

Super nice ice cream parlor in Barendrecht! They have gluten-free ice cream cones, the staff is familiar with allergens, and there is a list of them. You are politely asked to rinse the spoon or take a new one. Delicious ice cream and good service!🌸

We are standing here at 20:25, it is locked down, nonsense, a family and 7 children are standing there for nothing, we call the number, hangs up and speaks rudely, scandalous.

Great ice cream parlor in the heart of Barendrecht. Large selection of delicious ice cream flavors. Decent scoops.

I wouldn't be exaggerating if I said this is the best in Rotterdam... and I'm coming from Turkey, which could be considered the homeland of ice cream.

Delicious ice cream, clean shop. Friendly people who help you.

Fantastic ice cream. Huge selection. Good (real) whipped cream. Not that watery stuff that comes out of a can. Friendly service. And, despite the crowds, thanks to the beautiful weather, we were served quickly. A nice little gadget: you can eat the spoon after use.

Delicious ice cream! Lovely shop too. The matcha slush is so good!

Wide range of flavours, delicious ice cream.

Many flavors of really good ice cream

Is mine favorite ice cream shop. They have different kinds of flavored ice creams. The employees who worker there are kind and generous but lately sone employees are very lazy when i ask for a 1.5 liter ice cream.

The best ice cream in Barendrecht!!! Tasty, lots of choice and reasonably priced. Staff is friendly, so really recommended!!!

Great ice cream. Always friendly staff.

Delicious ice cream, I like coming here. 1 star off due to the high prices.

They sell really good ice cream.

Nice place to have icecream or coffee. They have als ice coffee.

This afternoon we went to the ice cream parlor. We ordered two coffees and 1 ice cream. We were helped very nicely and the girl behind the counter said that the coffee would be brought outside. Her colleague who brought the coffee rudely ordered us to wait inside for the coffee from now on. We explained the misunderstanding but he remained rude. Very unfortunate!!

Best ice cream parlor for people in Rotterdam South. Delicious ice cream, free parking and easy to drive to!

Delicious ice cream, definitely worth a try

Very good ice cream. Delicious whipped cream and nice service

Delicious flavors of Italian ice cream. Busy, but with good staffing your turn will be very quickly.

Every flavor is delicious, I love it, its oreo ice cream and tiramisu are amazing.

How cozy is a drive-in, but the ice cream and the service are and remain great.

Delicious ice cream! Delicious ice cream cakes!

Cozy shop with delicious ice cream, many different flavors.

Drove from Rhoon specifically to the Ice Cream Parlor to get an ice cream based on the good reviews. And yes, it's completely true... a beautifully maintained place with nice staff and a variety of delicious ice cream flavors. There were also some delicious cakes in the display case, but I could not find the prices of these cakes either at the location or on the website. This ice cream parlor is highly recommended.

Wow 🤩! That is the perfect description for this ice cream. This makes your day perfect again. Fortunately, the ice cream parlor is open again for a beautiful summer in 2024!

The tastiest ice creams in Barendrecht and Rotterdam. Come and drive up and down from Rotterdam South to the ice cream parlor for an ice cream. You are always helped with a smile and the place always looks great!

The ice cream is fine, but we wanted to pay with a €50.00 note and that was not possible. Was too large an amount. It's ridiculous that there is no cash register while we are talking about legal tender. You will be required to pay via a machine or by PIN, but it must be appropriate as much as possible and only a note of € 20.00 or smaller is allowed. It just depends on how you set up the software, right?

Classic from Rotterdam now also in Barendrecht. Great ice cream!

I am not usually an ice cream fan but gosh this place serves a punch!! Grandma's apple tart flavor was everything 🥰. Service was fast and friendly leaving us with all the time to dig into our delicious ice cream cones . Thank you, will definitely be back for more.

Plenty of choices, good quality ice cream. All served by friendly crew

HEERLIJK!

Heerlijk ijs in verschillende smaken.

Nette ijssalon, heerlijk ijs. Aanrader!

Ruime keuze ijs. Vriendelijk personeel

Great ice cream, nice people. Now start thinking about vegan ice cream that isn't a sorbet, please?

Heerlijk ijs.

Lekker ijs! Vriendelijke jongedame die mij hielp! (Vestiging Barendrecht).

Veel keuze lekker ijs. Aanrader

Lekker ijsje gegeten iets langere wachttijd als normaal maal.

Heerlijk ijs, vergeet de slagroom niet!

Veel verschillende smaken , gewoon lekker

Lekker ijs. Heel veel smaken, dus keus maken is lastig.
