Had a delicious meal last night. Service was top-notch. The food was magnificent. As far as we are concerned, a solid eight for Peter and Alice and their team. Made full progress in the last few months.

We had a truly delicious meal! The service was provided by very young people: they did a very good job, they were very friendly and very customer-oriented!

Eaten outside and it was delicious. Menu (Social Deal) more than met expectations. Well organized. All (young) staff members are very well "trained" for the hospitality industry. Incredibly friendly and helpful. They also think along with the customer. Nothing but praise!!!! Inside is also spacious and cozy.

Unfortunately, disappointing. Because Spakenburg is famous for its smoked fish (especially eel), we had ordered a fish tasting for 21.95 per person. Although the flavors were good, the price for 3 small pieces of smoked eel, 3 small pieces of smoked salmon, and 2 prawns, plus a bit of lettuce and bread, was really much too high. This was really far too expensive for what you get. Including a drink, we spent 55 euros for two people. Really way too much. We went to the fishmonger afterwards and filled our bellies with smoked eel for 12 euros, because at The Smokehouse you go home hungry.

The food is really top-notch, good atmosphere, and fast service! The prawns are highly recommended.

Nice spot right in the city center and delicious food…

The most tasteless flammkuchen I have ever eaten. Left more than half of it, absolutely no flavor, and that for €13.50. Sad, dreary, nothing small lay on my plate. Service is top-notch.

Last ate months ago, but forgot to write a review. And it was well deserved, so here it is now. The boy who served us back then was very nice and made sure you wanted for nothing; a real star. The food was very tasty and the atmosphere is nice too. We will definitely come back.

This afternoon I had a delicious tomato soup and flammkuchen with salmon. What a fantastic dish this is. All the flavors are perfectly balanced. You can taste the chef's love in the food. The wait staff are also incredibly courteous and really give you the time to eat in peace. Sometimes you come across restaurants where you feel like you don't matter. It is different here. I felt very welcome.

Excellent menu with friendly and efficient staff. The service is helpful and proactive; a minor misunderstanding was resolved nicely. The food is of a high standard: all dishes are spot on. The spareribs fall off the bone, the braised beef is tender and well-marinated, and the desserts are substantial—the tartufo limoncello is highly recommended. Portions are generous and the value for money is very attractive. Pleasant atmosphere, definitely worth a visit.

Dining with friends in this cozy restaurant, a good menu, friendly and attentive staff, and delicious food. All in all, a real treat.

Enjoyed a delicious three-course meal for €32.50 per person through SocialDeal. Dishes were served hot (!), arrived promptly, and tasted fantastic. The speculaas trifle is a must for dessert! It was well worth the half-hour drive; we'll definitely be back.

The four of us had a wonderful meal here. The iron steak was perfect and deliciously tender, and the satay was also beautifully marinated, deliciously tender, and more than enough. I had the beef steak, which was incredibly delicious and super tender. I'm already looking forward to the next time.

The service is staffed by young, novice staff. So... there are often some glitches. The food is fine (not top quality), although they do charge a premium for a single serving (2 sole = €32) and then there's the usual fries in a small bowl with fries sauce. The atmosphere is great, the weather is nice, and the seating is outside. It's a shame there's a lot of smoking at the tables.

Lekker gegeten, maar als je rolstoel afhankelijk bent, kan je niet met je rolstoel bij de wc komen. Rolstoeltoegankelijk klopt dus maar gedeeltelijk!

Prima tent. Vlotte bediening. Jammer vd kant-en-klaar frituur hamburger terwijl je een grille hebt staan. Als je Smoke House Grill heet verwacht je toch een lekkere sappige handgemaakte burger

Ridiculous! After sitting uncomfortably for 20 minutes and asking for the menu, we were told that "serving food was difficult due to a group of 16 people". We left immediately! The fact that you as a restaurant and staff cannot anticipate this says enough.

The food was tasty, but took a very long time. After ordering, we waited at least 75 minutes for the main course. The waitresses also spent a considerable amount of time hanging around and chatting at a table with friends of theirs. That should be okay, if you don't have other guests waiting to order new drinks. In addition, the fries were overcooked and the dessert was also burnt on the bottom. When we reported this, there was no apology, just 'I'll pass it on', and she was gone. For this reason, a slightly lower score, we hope this was an incident, given that the other reviews are generally better!

We had a delicious meal from the Valentine's menu, the table was completely decorated with hearts and a photo was even taken! Super original!!

Heerlijk avondje gehad met familie. Bij het raam vooraan op de bank in het ronde nisje, gezellig om rondom te tafel te zitten met elkaar. Ik zag nog meer leuke zithoekjes, speels geplaatst om de bar heen. Jassen werden netjes aangenomen en werden ook door de eigenaar begroet. De inrichting was een fijne mix van modern en klassiek; een beetje urban jungle meets texas roadhouse. Er kwamen vleugjes rookgeur van de kolen voorbij die de naam eer aan deden. De sticky spareribs waren fantastisch, de Flat Iron steak was mals en had een subtiel rooksmaakje van de Josper bbq dat nog een tijd nasmaak gaf. Ik mocht nog even in de keuken kijken wat er schoon en georganiseerd uitzag. Zeker nog een bezoek waard om de black angus truffelburger, het vistrio en de kip te proberen op 1 van de andere leuke plekjes in het restaurant. Geen aanmerkingen verder.

Lekker gegeten, binnen is ziet het er gezellig uit. Het personeel is erg vriendelijk, en de menukaart heeft voor iedereen wel wat lekkers. Prijzen zijn ook normaal. Zeker een aarader.

30 minis waiting for 1 coke and 1 coffee, what a ball

Mooi restaurant eten was prima maar wat aan de dure kant voor wat je ervoor krijgt.We moesten erg lang op ons hoofdgerecht wachten dat melden we en ze excuseerden zich en seiden dat binnen 4 mun zou komen nou het duurde nog dik 10 min..Helaas zou hier niet weer teugkomen. Ps bediening zou ook wel wat vlotter kunnen bedienen

Fantastische plek om te eten. Midden in de gezelligheid van Bunschoten-Spakenburg. We waren met een groep van 17 ouderen. De bediening is erg hulpvaardig en bijzonder vriendelijk en flexibel. Het eten was mooi en heerlijk. We hebben genoten!

Ondanks de drukte en de hitte heerlijk geluncht. Ga zeker nog een keer terug met vriendinnen. Wij hebben genoten ven de vissalade en de vistrio. Super lekker en heel aardige bediening.! Dus een aanrader.

Had an excellent dinner here, it was incredibly tasty. Fast and friendly service, and the dishes were beautifully presented and tasted delicious. I had the carpaccio as a starter and the spare ribs as a main course, and my friend had the pork belly with eel and the truffle burger. I would come here more often if we weren't from far away and were on holiday here. 10/10

Excellent lunch with fish trio. Service could have been smoother (because it was not busy), waited 10 minutes.

Cozy atmosphere, the starter (cold side kitchen) was served relatively quickly. Then things went wrong! We had to wait more than an hour for the main courses (warm side of the kitchen) and that is not really a pleasant experience with 2 3-year-old toddlers. When the main courses finally arrived at the table, 2 tournedos were completely overcooked, while we had ordered rare and medium. We sent back the one that was supposed to be rare and the one that came back was done well. In addition, the pieces of meat on the plate were very small (+/-180/190 grams for €32.50) compared to similar dishes elsewhere. So the price/quality ratio left much to be desired. The taste was good! We had to walk to the bar twice to order drinks as the service was sometimes chatting or hanging on the bar while the restaurant was full. The service was friendly! All in all, a review is a snapshot and you can enjoy it, but for us The Smokehouse was unfortunately disappointing.

We had lunch here last Saturday. It was a beautiful summer day and we sat on the terrace. Cozy on the market, great atmosphere. Awesome! We chose a fish specialty: Trio of fish. And that was a bit disappointing. The trio consisted of 3 warm shrimps with sauce, three mini pieces of smoked eel fillet and three mini slices of smoked salmon. In terms of taste, the shrimps were great, but we found the other parts really disappointing. Very thin and little taste. The whole thing on a (very narrow) bed of salad with a delicious dressing, there was nothing wrong with that! Shame about the small portion and the disappointing taste. I'm used to something different from the Smokehouse! Compliments for the service: very spontaneous and friendly.

I've just been here and it doesn't make me happy. It took a long time before we finally got our food and then I got a dry shoe sole that they call picanha with vegetables that had no crack or taste. And when my husband indicated that, they would pass it on....so then you pay 29 euros for a meal that is simply inedible. I really enjoy eating out and do it often, but I will never go here again. I'm still hungry and it really rarely happens to me when I've been out to eat, I'm annoyed about it.

Delicious dinner! You taste freshly prepared products. The downside was the tub of butter. If you make all the dishes yourself, the butter does not have to come from a Campina package. The highlight was the dessert, the s'mores! The Picanha steak was also wonderfully tender, plenty of everything. Friendly service, made it a very successful evening!

Tweede keer in een maand tijd dat ik hier heb gegeten. Zelf de Picanha als hoofdgerecht mijn tafelgenoot "Meat the smokehouse" qua smaak een van de betere restaurants in wijde omtrek. Wat heb ik lekker gegeten.

Top locatie,hier eten wij graag een broodje. Zeer vriendelijke bediening. Het is niet goedkoop maar als het lekker is nemen we dat voor lief.

We waren hier voor een diner. De ambiance is een beetje saai en kleurloos. De kaart is vrij beperkt maar de kok probeert er het beste van te maken en daar slaagt hij redelijk in. Helaas moesten we na het voorgerecht extreem lang op het hoofdgerecht wachten omdat een paar groepen met voorrang bediend werden. We hadden als voorgerecht een vissalade besteld. Aangezien dit volgens degene die de bestelling op kwam nemen een maaltijd salade was besloten op haar advies een salade te delen. Bij het afrekenen vielen we echter bijna van onze stoel toen we zagen dat er voor het extra bord bij de salade een euro in rekening werd gebracht. Hoe schraperig kan je zijn !

Wir waren so positiv überrascht wir das Restaurant betraten. Das Essen war unglaublich lecker und die Leute wirklich sehr sehr nett. Jederzeit wieder und kann von Herzen empfohlen werden 🙏 Ich selbst hatte den vegan nexican Burger und es war wirklich der beste Burger den ich je gegessen habe.
