Highly recommended. Delicious food; both the buffet and the griddle + wok offer a wide variety. Everything is fresh and delicious. The sushi is excellent. Very friendly service, and the chef at the griddle has a great sense of humor and pays nice attention to the customers. The rest of the staff is also very nice. Prices are good, and for an extra 6 EUR you can order unlimited drinks of various types. A real winner.

We normally don't write reviews, but we had such a pleasant evening. On Friday (June 20), we had dinner with the family at this restaurant. It is clearly a Chinese restaurant that has been successfully transformed into a wok restaurant. The hot dishes were a big hit, especially the tender chicken satay and the well-seasoned ku loe yuk. The griddle with no fewer than 11 types of meat and fish was also highly recommended. We didn't have to wait long for anything, which made the experience even more enjoyable. What really stood out was the service. When my partner mentioned that they didn't have his favorite dish at the buffet, they responded immediately by saying that it could be specially prepared and would even be brought to the table. Additionally, my 4-year-old daughter grabbed the last fried bananas from the bowl, whereupon a staff member whispered to her that she had to wait a moment because a fresh batch was arriving soon — and that was indeed true. The experience at the wok was also top-notch. There are eight different sauces to choose from, but you can also ask for advice. The chefs are happy to help you and will even make a custom sauce on the spot. For lovers of spicy food, there is even an extra option: “sauce 9”. Additionally, the chefs have a friendly chat while preparing your dish, which makes the whole experience even more personal. Beyond the standard selection, they were very helpful: my daughter was craving a specific type of sushi that wasn't on the buffet. This was specially made fresh for her and served at the table. Although you won't find extensive extras here like carpaccio, pizza, cotton candy, Dutch mini pancakes, soft ice cream, or a chocolate fountain, the quality, service, and atmosphere more than make up for it. I mean, where can you go for these prices these days? And eat steak, lamb, and salmon? AND our birthday girl got a 100% discount. In short: we enjoyed ourselves very much. We went for the first time 6 years ago and already thought it was bad back then. We gave it another chance yesterday, but this was the last time. Upon entering, we stood waiting 10 minutes before being shown to our table; the line at the wok station was very long and awkward, meaning people wanting to serve themselves couldn't get through, and staff kept bumping into you while carrying dishes to the dishwashing area. The wok and griddle stations took a very long time because people were working at the same time, and the atmosphere in the restaurant was very mediocre.

The food was delicious, the people were very sweet, and the service is perfect. I just hope something is done about the toilet. Otherwise, it would have received 5 stars. The toilet lid was a bit outdated and light yellow, and it wasn't fitted quite straight. Also, the hygiene in the toilet could be a bit better. Clean it more often.

We visited Tin Sun in Horst on a Friday evening, but unfortunately, we were quite disappointed. Upon entering, we were greeted kindly by the waitress, but the buffet was very small and remarkably quiet for a Friday evening. The selection was very limited, especially in the sushi section. Much of the sushi had surimi as a filling, and the salmon nigiri was made with smoked salmon instead of fresh salmon, which was a real letdown for us. The quality of some products was also disappointing. The avocado was either very hard or already completely black. As a result, with four of us, we left some sushi untouched because it simply wasn't tasty. When this was pointed out, we were asked which table it came from and that the waitress should keep an eye on us. This made us feel quite uncomfortable. What was positive, however: the guys behind the griddle were friendly, and the beef tenderloin was cooked perfectly. The drinks and coffee were also fine. The coffee actually tasted just like at home, since the same machine was there. Unfortunately, the dessert section was very meager, just like the rest. Besides some chocolate sprinkles, dried-out ladyfingers, and hard marshmallows, there was little that was truly appealing. There were many types of ice cream, but that was actually the only section with a somewhat wider selection. Around 7:00 PM, much of the sushi was already gone. When we asked if anything could be refilled, the answer was short and to the point: “No.” We found that very disappointing for a Friday night and a buffet restaurant. All in all, the tenderloin, the coffee, and the drinks were the only real plus points for us. Unfortunately, the rest did not provide a pleasant experience, and we did not feel entirely welcome or at ease. For us, this is not a place we would be returning to anytime soon.

I really enjoyed my time here! The place has a cozy, stylish vibe, and everything feels thoughtfully put together.The staff were kind, welcoming, and attentive without being overwhelming, which made the experience even better. The food was excellent and well worth the price ,every dish felt fresh and full of flavor. I left completely satisfied (and very full in the best way 😄).Overall, such a great spot with a lovely atmosphere, great service, and delicious food. I visit Tin Sun in Horst about once a month, and it has become one of my favorite places to eat. The food is consistently delicious, with great flavors and a good variety to choose from. You can really tell that care goes into every dish. What makes this place even more special is the staff. They always welcome me with the biggest smile, and the service is warm, friendly, and attentive every time. It creates such a nice and relaxed atmosphere that keeps me coming back. Went to eat here today (17-03-26) with 2 kids. 1 is 10 weeks old, and 1 is 14 months old. (WE HAVE NEVER EXPERIENCED IT SO CHILD-FRIENDLY!) Upon entering, we were immediately assisted very kindly; the table was moved by (we think) the owner right away so that we could easily fit the stroller in and our little one could lie down nicely with us. A chair was brought out for the oldest, and she immediately played with him a bit! Really great! We were immediately given what we wanted to drink, and of course, not forgetting our 14-month-old son, whether he wanted something tasty to drink (Fristi). We were familiar with the concept, so it went smoothly. Naturally, our son joined in the nibbling, and yes, that turns into a messy affair; that age doesn't eat with a knife and fork. After politely asking if they had a dustpan and brush or something similar, I was kindly denied this with: "No way! We'll take care of it!" The food was great! It is less mass-oriented than, for example, a World Kitchen, but it CERTAINLY does not fall short! Service was top-notch! The chefs are up for a chat; this was on Tuesday, so I can imagine they are a bit busier on the weekend. But do approach them yourself and definitely ask if they have any tips regarding sauces! For us, it is our new favorite restaurant! Please keep up the good work, because there aren't many restaurants this child-friendly!

At first, we weren't impressed. It was quite small inside compared to other large woks. But the griddle was listed on the menu, which I understand if you don't have a table. Still, there were plenty of delicious dishes to order. The wok was also very tasty. Tip: ask the chef what sauce he recommends, because ours combined several sauces. Super delicious. It was also very busy inside, but we didn't notice it because the dishes at the buffet were replenished promptly. If they weren't, they brought them to the table. Our package was for 2.5 hours, but we were allowed to stay longer because it was so busy, "so everyone could still enjoy themselves," according to the staff. An all-you-can-eat concept without the feeling of a granary. We were pleasantly surprised. Thanks, Tinsun, we'll be back!

Due to circumstances, we didn't arrive at the restaurant until 9 p.m. As expected, most guests had already left or were eating dessert. We were already worried the food would be old, empty, and cold. Fortunately, nothing could be further from the truth. The staff came along to explain the entire concept. They also mentioned that they were in the process of refreshing the entire buffet, just for us. If there were any dishes we wanted "new," we could let them know. Where in other restaurants the staff might be disinterestedly on their phones during quieter moments, here they went the extra mile. We had a delicious meal. The griddle is highly recommended. Excellent dining experience. We didn't experience any of the negative experiences listed here, except for the buffet's lack of heat. Especially at the grill, you got really generous portions of meat or fish, prepared by a funny, friendly chef. There was ample choice, both in the main courses and in the desserts. There were many types of ice cream, cakes, and fruit. There was also plenty of choice for fish-eating vegetarians, and the nasi and bami were both vegetarian. In short, Rui deserved 5 stars, excellent value for money.

On January 21, 2026, we went there to celebrate my mother's birthday. Upon arrival, we had to wait an incredibly long time to be seated, even though the restaurant wasn't busy. It was also incredibly cold inside. The concept wasn't explained to us either. Since we were hungry, we immediately went to the buffet, which was terrible. I wanted to start with the soup, but it was all empty. I asked a waiter, and said, "Do you have any more soup? This is our first time here," and she said, "Come to the table, how much soup do you want?" We ordered the tomato soup three times, and after it was brought out, it was quickly returned. The meat in the soup was inedible, and we pointed this out. Next, I went for a stir-fry, had beef with vegetables and noodles, but they were undercooked. The waiter returned with the reason for the soup, initially just explaining why it wasn't good, until she listened to what we meant and apologized. Of course, I immediately told her the meat wasn't cooked, and she gave me a new one. In the end, the only truly good things were the drinks and the fried shrimp. The buffet was cold, unreplenished, and offered little choice. The grilled meat wasn't refrigerated, and if we wanted anything, we had to ask for it. So much for an all-you-can-eat experience. Unfortunately, we returned a lot of food because it was cold, undercooked, or not tasty, so we didn't eat the full price... We won't be going back! And it's definitely not recommended, because if it's like this during the week when it's quiet, I certainly don't want to know what it's like on the weekend.

We got takeout. We could see that the restaurant was busy. A good sign. The food was delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed it.

I picked it up and had to wait quite a while after calling, followed by another long wait in the waiting room. The bami that came with the bami pangang was also quite meager. No egg or ham, and almost no leek in it... A shame, because the bami pangang was actually quite good.

Everything was excellent, even though we arrived around 9 pm. The waitress took the time to serve us at our table despite the late hour. The flavors of the food were wonderful, everything was perfect, and my children loved it all, from the main course to the dessert!

No lukewarm large containers, but small portions in sealed containers, which are constantly replenished. Because of the smaller portions, the selection seems limited, but that's an optical illusion. An old Chinese restaurant successfully transformed into a wok. We had made a reservation and received a very friendly welcome. Although it was already quite full, they kindly moved us to a different table upon request, due to a child with a disability. The explanation was clear, the service was fast and efficient, and the buffet selection, teppanyaki, and wok were excellent. While it's small, there's something for everyone. The buffet was also well-maintained and replenished. Drinks were available at the bar, which was excellent. The empty plate collection process was smooth and efficient. The food was delicious and varied, in short, highly recommended!

To round off our summer vacation, we thought it would be a good idea to eat at Tin Sun. We hadn't been there before, so we were in for a surprise. Upon arrival, it was very unclear where to enter. We ended up going in through the "takeaway entrance." Upon entering, we had to wait a long time for someone to show us to a table. Once at the table, we were told that they would bring the first drink and that we had to get the rest ourselves from the bar. They also brought us a cup of soup as a starter. The selection was very disappointing; there wasn't much choice and it was very small. There's also a wok section and a griddle, but I didn't use it because it was so busy. The buffet is so small you can barely turn around. For us, it was a once-in-a-lifetime experience!

I think this is our fourth or fifth time here. What we really enjoy about eating here is the variety of options. The kids quickly choose the buffet, which includes various Chinese dishes and some children's dishes (fries, frikandel, etc.). There's also an extensive dessert buffet. We especially like the wide range of fresh products you can have stir-fried or order from the griddle (both fish and meat). Even though the restaurant was completely full, it was still a good business, and the staff worked hard to keep the tables busy. Kudos! We've been back several times and will definitely do so again!

We reserved via Social Deal for 4:30 PM but were only welcome at 5:00 PM. We were approached by three staff members who made us feel very uncomfortable and unwelcome. They even wanted to come to our table to tell their story. But you come to enjoy a good meal, not to feel uncomfortable. I have never experienced anything like this anywhere else. But for us, this was the first and last time we have been here. Clearing plates from our table was probably too much to ask, even though we were told they would. (And it wasn't busy, so that can't be the reason.)

Be warned. The website says open at 4:30 PM, but you're not welcome after that time. Several staff members will tell you off, saying you can't start eating until 5:00 PM, and you'll feel completely unwelcome. They'll talk over you and only want to share their own story, which is completely unacceptable to you as a customer. All you want is a pleasant evening. That's not going to happen here; we left and will happily skip this restaurant from now on. They'll probably come up with their own version of "indek" (in-house), but that's the way it is.

A warm welcome upon arrival. Worn chairs were fixed with cloths, which looked nice at first glance. Then, they explained how it all worked. You can pick up your own food and drinks at the bar. Ordering a separate wok buffet griddle at the counter was a bit unclear. The food tasted like almost all Chinese restaurants, nothing special.

What struck my wife and I first was the price. Where else can you get unlimited food and drinks for 3 hours these days for €27.50 through a social deal? The welcome was extremely friendly. We were shown to our beautifully set table and were allowed to order soup and a drink first. Then you could go to the buffet yourself for your food and drinks. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. Then the food. The teppanjaki was quiet at first, but later it got very busy, resulting in congestion. It's all very cramped. The grilling plate is small, which causes the meat to take on a fishy flavor, which is very unpalatable, especially if you don't like fish. There's a wide selection of wok dishes. The pre-made dishes are not tasty. The daging roedjak was sour. They really try hard, and for this price, you shouldn't expect haute cuisine. I give them 3 stars for the food, because it's very mediocre. The atmosphere and hospitality, on the other hand, get 5 stars.

We've been here several times because we really like it. From the very first time, they knew my son needs a gluten-free diet, and that was always taken into account. Last time, the friendly female staff member even left us a pot of tea afterward before we even asked, because she'd remembered we like to drink it after our meal. Very thoughtful. And the food is always delicious.

There are many delicious and authentic Chinese dishes. It is rare to eat such delicious Chinese food in the Netherlands. The boss's service attitude is also very good. It is a very satisfying experience.
