Last weekend we went to this beautiful restaurant with a group of 9 people. The service was very friendly and we were welcomed by owner/chef Femmy. The presentation of the food was well done. The food also tasted very reasonable, although the king prawns (€42.50) were very tough & dry and the two pepesan/mackerel (€24.50 each) had a very strong fishy smell and did not taste fresh. The final bill was quite high: €330 😬 Especially for the quality offered and the small portions that we didn't even eat.. Unfortunately not recommended 😩😥

Super delicious authentic Indonesian dishes available for takeout or in the cozy restaurant. Also lots of delicious specialty beers. Unfortunately, I have to update this review. You pay through the nose. It wasn't cheap to begin with, but now it's just outrageously expensive.

Fem recommended that we create our own Indonesian meal instead of ordering from the menu, which seemed fine to us. We were presented with a rather meager meal and a hefty bill. As many comments here have already pointed out, this is a kind of scam by keeping people in the dark and making up a price they made up themselves. Naturally, we didn't pay the €300.

The owner looks like a con artist. The prices on the menu are okay, but when you have ordered, it is said that certain dishes are not available and the offer is made to give you her recommendations. It is not told that where the normal dishes are for example 26 euros, they then serve you 5 smaller dishes at 22 euros each if you are with two people. In the end, you end up with a bill of over 100 euros for two people. Probably a fairly standard trick that is played on people who come for a one-time visit

Yesterday, after a long time, I went back to Febi's. We used to eat there often when she was still in Vaals. We were two adults and a child. She asked if we wanted the menu or if she could put something together. We said, "Just put something together," which turned out to be a stupid move. We were given all sorts of small dishes, like the one in the photo, 10 shrimp with a little fruit and vegetables. The bill ended up being €42.50!!!!!. The final bill was €191!!!!. This is completely out of proportion for what we got. You expect these prices when you go to a fancy restaurant with a nice atmosphere and where everything is neat, but not in a cafe-like setting. Now, I understand why she was also on TV on SBS 6. In my opinion, this is a scam. This is what you expect when you're in a city center in Southern Europe where they rip off tourists. I'll never go there again and advise everyone not to go. Maybe they think she has a Michelin star. I've been to many restaurants, but I've never experienced anything like this. If you have money to burn and need to spend it, just go in and be surprised!

The three of us dined here yesterday. The welcome was fantastic, and we asked Femmy to surprise us, and she did. All we wanted was for everything to be as authentic as possible, as we weren't in an Indonesian restaurant for nothing. She brought us several main courses, including two rendangs (venison and beef), spicy prawns, and three vegetarian dishes. After we finished them, we ordered five more main courses, Femmy's choice. We love surprises. The dishes arrived on a large wicker tray with banana leaves as a base. A tapered tower with two layers of rice (yellow and white) surrounded by dishes of sea bream, mackerel, and chicken, which Femmy served to us. To wash down all that food, we drank the entire Neuborg stock, after which we switched to Westvleteren Blond. We had a wonderful journey through Indonesian cuisine, and Femmy and her husband's enthusiasm was truly infectious. We can only conclude that this experience deserves not 5 but 6 stars. You'll be seeing us again, but we'll call ahead to stock up on at least two crates of Neubourg. Thanks again for the wonderful evening!

a fraudulent business. We ordered the sate meal, which includes chicken and meat and costs 22 euros. She said she had no meat left and said she would prepare a surprise mixed plate for us. Then she brought 5 different types of plates, soup and salad, even though we didn't order them. She wanted us to pay 98 euros for 2 people. When I said we didn't order all these, she said, I said I would surprise you and you accepted.

The owner brought dishes that we did not order or want. When we went to pay she wanted us to pay way more than the prices on the menu. I would say avoid this place. This was the first time I saw a face-to-face scam.

Was very good. Well, it took some time and there was 1 person on staff. Rijsttafel was a variety of dishes and tasted authentic with charcoal satay. Nice to sit. Suddenly a fanfare because of Oktoberfest :))

Good and delicious food and a pleasant atmosphere

We spontaneously decided to eat Indonesian for the first time. The waitress asked herself to prepare a combination of the different dishes for us. We pointed out that it was our first Indonesian meal and that we like it a little spicy. After about 90 minutes, 2 small beef dishes came, 2 small chicken dishes, 1 egg dish, two vegetable dishes and once rice on our table. Three of these dishes were extremely spicy and therefore inedible. The eggs were also not tasty. The drinks were good. Food way too expensive.

Yesterday we were here at 18:40, we wait at least 10 mins front door until we bell the ring and this spicy no manner rude old woman femmy came out. And point where we need to sit. Full of rudeness and also no welcome warming nothing! Bad and dirty manner, very terrible toilet, so dirty!!! And ginger tea didn’t peel the skin off?! Food are so spicy! No vegetables at all!!! I put my tissue on the table, she start to point me and ask where I came from, I said I came from China and she start to look at me like discriminated way! Old and strange manner, totally no respect of her customers, we got the food are too expensive and I paid 83€ for such little dishes, and also we even didn’t finish 40%! It was sooooo spicy!!! And she should learn a proper manner to serve the customers! Too rude!!!!!

Last Saturday I ate bami goreng, which unfortunately I don't know how to call bami goreng, it was just noodles with way too much soy sauce, which made it taste bitter and it also lacked stir-frying vegetables. I did get rancid chicken wings with fried eggs, which actually turned out to be an omelet. also the price is way too high for a simple dinner but.. I am far from satisfied and I would not recommend it.!

Everything has some kind of upgrade: satay is made from chicken thigh and not from fillet and you can taste that. Rendang was full of spices, also an experience. Yes, and Westvleteren beer is also the holy grail for me. And everything had a story that the owner took the time to tell. I'll be back

Nice terrace and restaurant, good service and tasty food!

Yesterday we had a delicious meal with Femmy and her husband for the second time. A very cozy terrace, friendly service and really delicious Indonesian food, highly recommended!! Also very good prices for what they offer.

vandaag voor de tweede keer bij Femmy en haar man gegeten en het was weer geweldig echt heerlijk eten, heerlijke smaken, ruim voldoende. heerlijk terras, vriendelijke bediening en altijd in voor een praatje. Zeer zeker de moeite waard en dus een echte aanrader.

Just Indonesian food from home and this felt like coming home. Super tasty and very friendly hostess. We will be back soon.

Nasi very spicy, soggy... but fortunately warm. It looks better in the photo than it tasted

We were there yesterday to eat a rice table with 3 people. Absolutely perfect. We felt like we had been regulars for years. Very, very warm and accommodating, everything was explained and described in detail. Some components were too spicy for me, but my two companions enjoyed it! The quantity was more than generous, we got all the leftovers, lovingly packaged, and so had a delicious meal this afternoon. I really don't understand why there are always people who think they can complain on the internet. They certainly could have clarified things personally on site. If we come to Sittard again, we will definitely eat here again!

Last night, June 18, we had a delicious meal. For me a nasi goreng with all the trimmings. My husband had rendang and loved it. I also ordered satay, but unfortunately this was forgotten. This was indicated and although I had actually eaten enough, it was neatly packed for me and we took it with us. Everything neatly served and friendly service. Femmy, a cook, also came out several times to talk about her roots. If people have something to complain about, which can sometimes happen, they should do this on the spot and consult with the owners. In any case, it was a successful evening for us.

Afgelopen weekend met een groepje van 9 personen naar dit mooie restaurant geweest. De bediening was super vriendelijk en werden hartelijk ontvangen door eigenaar/kok Femmy. Het eten was goed verzorgd en de presentatie was geweldig. Het eten smaakte redelijk, hoewel de king prawns erg taai & droog was en de pepesan/makreel een erg sterke visgeur had en niet vers proefde. De prijs was ook aan de véél te forse kant (€330) Zeker voor de niet-verse kleine porties van matige kwaliteit. Helaas géén aanrader ... heel erg jammer 😪

Review about owner Harry following the 'crisis in the tent' program: Harry was clearly unable to face reality. He pretended that he was in a position to be critical of the help he received when they were in desperate need of help to keep their heads above water. Didn't you register for that program yourself? Such an attitude simply cannot be too embarrassing. I understand that the program is cut and they only take out the peaks and valleys, but Harry's ungrateful attitude was really distressing. New cash register and rent discount arranged, and not a trace of gratitude from Harry. Harry is probably just too proud and doesn't want to admit that Herman and Annemarie can and know many things better than him. And then that formal way of criticizing Herman, man man man, embarrassingly ungrateful, just really turned the world upside down. I'm not going to give this place 1 star but 3 because I've never eaten there, but take this feedback into account Harry and work on yourself.

Restaurant is open today at 1:30 PM, unfortunately not for lunch! Unshaven rather blunt reception. Shame. Then we have lunch elsewhere.

I don't think it's normal for someone to receive help from two professionals. And also shows how bad things are going. By going through the numbers. Maybe he's quite nice? But he is not a catering tiger. That the owner's husband just wants everything back as it was. If I may give her a tip, find a new boyfriend. And throw him out of the house. I saw that you can cook. Had to wait 40 minutes for our takeaway order, unfriendly staff, small simple portions, a waste of money

Scandalously bad....we made a reservation to have the cook outside at 5 p.m., we just had to wait...half an hour to come home with ice-cold food and no noodles but nasty nasi....and then almost 30 euros. Counted down...ballet tent!!!!!!

The food was tasty but overpriced. However, what was definitely not good was the service. Very long waiting times (1 to 2 hours), table companions who did not receive the food at the same time (at the table next to us there was a half hour gap!), not asking if the food tastes good, ignoring people who want to order drinks, only after 20 minutes clearing away and so on. And this was the owner! It came across as unprofessional and clumsy. We won't be going back and I'm sure most of the people who were there tonight won't return. Very unfortunate because with this location and map something very beautiful can be created.
