Personally, this is one of the best Indonesian restaurants I have ever eaten at. The staff is also very friendly. My favorite was the soto ayam (Indonesian chicken soup). Highly recommended for delivery or eating in.

Got a meal here for the first time tonight, and I can safely say it won't be the last time; it was delicious! Large portions (even with the small meal) and I definitely wasn't disappointed with the spicy options (egg, green beans, and chicken), as they were indeed quite spicy. Highly recommended!

Excellent delivery, everything at the right temperature. Unfortunately, the roti wasn't as it should be. The flavor was minimal, with loose beans and tempeh. The potatoes were fine. No full flavor, no Jeanette pepper. Unfortunately, I won't be returning here again.

I see a lot of people complaining but I am of Indian / SU descent and it tastes great every time 👍🏽 nothing to complain about, every time it is great and delivery too and don't forget people, garter is not always for sale 😉 and you can easily replace it with green beans, now you have a regular customer

We were walking on the street and the delicious smell coming from the restaurant brought us back and into the store. We were warmly welcomed by the owners, who also gave us an excellent recommendation. We had a menu where you could try almost everything on display and it was all so delicious. It was really so delicious that we came back the next day to try the rest of the dishes on display, and they were also delicious. Everything fresh and homemade. Everything was very clean and the owners are very welcoming. We have never eaten Indonesian before and absolutely love it, we would highly recommend this restaurant to everyone.

The store delivered quickly. Unfortunately the food was not as they advertise on their own website. Ordered 2x roti chicken, no long beans to be found but green beans. Very little chicken. The curry was not curry and the egg was plain and had little taste at all. I'm Indonesian myself, but it's so tasteless... we don't cook like that at home. I think it's a shame that this restaurant calls itself an Indonesian store. A few hours after eating only half a meal, my stomach hurt terribly. I've been on the toilet since last night. Judging from the reviews, I'm not the only one who thinks this way... Once, but never again! It is also incredible that the owner (Hans Dietrich) himself writes an excellent review about his shop.

It's that I can't give 0 stars, because what an incredibly bad and dirty restaurant. The food was cold, advertised in the Roti as "Kauseband" but comes with simple Dutch green beans. 28 euros for 2 Roti containing 2 small pieces of chicken, a burnt pancake, and when you call the restaurant, this clown of a gentleman is immediately aggressive towards his customers. In short, please never order here. A truly dramatic business with dramatic owners!

As a former regular customer, I often ordered here when I was craving authentic Indonesian food. Unfortunately, today I was very disappointed by the food that my niece picked up for us. The authentic taste of the past has been replaced by a bland bite adapted to Dutch taste. I also think it is a great pity that, when contacted by telephone about the disappointing taste, we as customers are not listened to. Unfortunately, you have permanently lost my niece and me as regular customers.

Friendly people, delicious food!

Not much food for a lot of money, I'm an average eater but the portions are way too meager. Could almost count the pieces of meat so few Had called and the gentleman did not come up with an alternative himself...a bit of a shame.

Not recommended! Salt, salt and more salt! Meat dry, nasi fat and not enough spices. Definitely not value for money. Not for me anymore... 1 star for the friendly delivery person. Tastes do indeed differ, I have been to Indonesia and have a lot of experience with other shops and Indian food, but this was one of the least experiences, if not the worst.

Very friendly owners, place was neat and clean. The rice table was quite okay, but I have certainly eaten better. For me, the dishes lacked some depth/authenticity that I am used to from tokos and Indonesian restaurants in Haarlem, Kennemerland region and Amsterdam where I eat more often.

On a visit to Alkmaar, I wanted to introduce an American friend of mine to Indonesian food. I found this Toko online and I wasn't sure what to expect. It is mostly geared towards takeaways and deliveries, and the restaurant is nothing fancy, but they do have a few tables for dining. The service was very welcoming and friendly and the food was ample and delicious, so it ticked all the boxes.

We came here to finally eat Indonesian food again after a long holiday in Indonesia and were thrilled. We specifically decided against a large tourist restaurant and looked for something away from the main streets, hoping that you could get an authentic meal prepared with love for less money. And that was the case. We were able to put together our own plates from a large selection of meat, tempe and vegetables for little money. Everything was delicious, especially the sauces. The owners were super friendly and explained all the dishes. Contrary to our expectations, we were even able to sit at a large table. We would like to come again! :-) Terima Kasih!

One of the most authentic indonesisch food I've ever had. First reason ist the concept, which is just like diner in Asia. You can get what you like and it feels like an Asian mom has made the food for you . I really miss my mom after that... Furthermore, the owner couple is very cute together 😁 I've got good talk with them. All in all, i would like to visit this diner again, if i have a chance

The tastiest Indonesian food from Alkmaar and surrounding areas. Good service and made quickly. Know exactly what you had last.

As a regular eater of Toko Bandung I have to tell you that I am very satisfied. The staff is friendly. And the food tastes delicious. The meat is Halal. Although I am not a Muslim, I very much appreciate every entrepreneur who gets meat from a butcher. The meat is wonderfully seasoned and tender. Can't do it at home. Preference goes to the Rendang and the medium/spicy everything. Haha I like spicy. The vegetables, lots of variety, provided you arrive on time. Do not come after dinner time at 8:00 PM. Or call in advance to make sure everything is still there. The taste of the vegetables is delicious. My preference is the spicy beans and the tjap tjoy. The basics: RICE: fried, white, yellow All tasty, preferred fried rice. BAMI: Sublime! A winner for years MIHOEN: For the lighter eater. Still very tasty. THIS IS CRAZY!! Ask after the ROTI!! Preferred dish: Nasi Goreng Rames (extra meat take a special) Medium Rendang spicy beans Medium Chicken (Ayam something else) (Rica I think) Tjap Tjoy, Mild Spicy Egg (Boiled a bit too long. But hey, they're busy) Extra bowl of Acar (sweet Sour) . Best enjoyed cold. . . Mix with your hot food. I prefer to take my Rames cold. Then heat it up in a pan at home. This way you retain more flavor in one way or another. No extra butter or oil! Just a little bit of water in the pan. Of course we don't want to change the recipe. Oh yes, fish: I'm not much of a hot fish eater. Still, the Mackerel and Gambas taste very good. By the way, you shouldn't miss prawn crackers with your meal. And neither can a can of Coco Juice or a bottle of Bintang haha. This was how I experienced Toko Bandung. Thank you Hans and Sylvie. And the rest of the team. Keep it up!!
