Truly the best Asian store in Haarlemmermeer and the surrounding area. Simple, friendly staff, and delicious authentic Indonesian dishes at a reasonable price.

Dear Toko Pandora, I'm giving you 3 stars because I don't like tricks. When I order in-store, I get a lot, and the container often can't even close properly. Three times now, when I order online via WhatsApp, I get more rice and less meat and vegetables, and there's even room left in the container. This means I'll have to place large orders in-store next time to get what I'm used to from you. Such a shame.

Rames is fine, but I'm not entirely sure how fresh the fresh products behind the display case are. 😒 "Freshly baked prawn crackers" aren't fresh anymore, but rather old, with lots of hard bits and therefore the taste isn't good. I threw the bag away. The layer cake doesn't smell quite right anymore either, so I threw it away. I have the impression it's been sitting there a bit too long. The lemper feels hard, which is another indication. I'll get back to you on how it tastes. 🤣

November 2025: Prices are now 13,00 euro for large, 12,00 euro for small. Still very friendly and delicious! November 2024: It's possible to eat in again! Price did go up again to 12,75 euro for a big portion, 11,75 for a small one. There's no more surcharge for choosing any of the base rice dishes. Delicious, as always. October 2023: No more eating in unfortunately but the food is good as ever. Simply delicious. Friendly staff. Prices are now 12 euro for a big portion, including plastic tax. 2018: Delicious food. Big portions although the take away portions are 75% rice and just a little meat and veggies. If you eat in you get a very well stacked plate with much more food for the same price. Price depends on the type of rice you take. It's 9.50 euro for nassi, 9.00 euro for white rice and 10.00 euro for yellow rice. You get to choose two meat dishes and three vegetable dishes. Deduct one euro for a small portion. Free drinking water and kroepoek if you're eating in. 4 very narrow free parking spaces in front, more free parking one block away. Card payments accepted. Free customer toilet avaliable.

Very tasty dishes at a reasonable price. A portion of rames is enough for me to eat for two days. My favorites are the Empal and Tempeh Kering.

This was catering for a birthday party at home. The selection of dishes was excellent, and the food itself was excellent. More than enough for the 15 people, and the two birthday boys were able to enjoy it again the next day. It was also nice that you didn't have to wash the bowls, serving spoons, and tongs. And the price was very reasonable.

Toko Pandora has been our favorite store for ages! The quality is always top-notch and consistent! The quantity is perfect! The snacks are delicious! We tried other stores a few times for variety, but always ended up coming back to Toko Pandora. My father, Ronald, came by every week to pick up food, which speaks volumes! Toko Pandora is unique! Yesterday, August 10, 2025, Toko Pandora provided the catering. Wow!!!! Everything is truly top-notch!! Plates, cutlery, warming trays, etc. So good! Everything tasted amazing! Christiaan and Erik did a fantastic job with delivery and preparation. Everything is SUPER!!

Delicious food for a great price

Unfortunately, lemper has changed completely since the coronavirus pandemic. It's just like everywhere else, it's not tasty anymore. Back when the owner was still alive, lemper used to have a different color and lots of spices. It was incredibly delicious, but not anymore. It's also noticeable that the staff is different every time, which makes you think, "Hmm, something's wrong?" It's also noticeable that all the food tastes absolutely the same every time, which leads you to suspect common flavor enhancers and additives.

Wonderful Indonesian food with generous portions, friendly service and overall welcoming atmosphere. You can choose a base (e.g. rice, noodles, yellow rice) and with the "small" portion for 11,25€ I could choose 5 vegetarian toppings. I was proper full and proper happy afterwards. Dining in was possible when I went! That does mean eating from a box on a tray, but they have tables and they heat up the food.

Got an Indonesian takeout meal. Delicious food and more than enough for two people.

Ate delicious sautosoep. We got rice and fried onions with it. Later took gado gado, fresh and also delicious. Definitely worth getting if you come or live in Hoofddorp.

Wow, happy to find Indonesian food near Schipol area. Eating a rames for two people only costs around 25€, the portion is quite big for my small stomach, I ordered small rames which cost around 11€-ish got fried rice with 2 side dishes, and 3 veggie dishes. It was pretty tasty, drink was free!

Nasi Koening (yellow rice), haricort verts, daging rendang (fat had not been removed and that really did not taste good), ajam ketjap (contained a not too small bone. I almost had to go back to the hospital, even though I had just come from there...), rempeng balls (yummy!) and a corn cake, which was dripping with fat! The flies, which we had to fan away all the time, made me really grumpy! - Nice lady, who dished up the food.

Always a lot of choice. And recently you can eat in the toko again, I saw. Every time I come in, it smells the same as my parents' toko, in the 70s in Amsterdam.

Very good quality of food. Think one of the best satay and satay sauce I have eaten in a long time. Large portion also for 12.50. A lot of noodles and little meat, so I would have made it 13.50, also a slightly bigger difference with the small portion of 11.50.

Awesome hidden gem. Generous portions and delicious food for a cheap price of only 13 euro. The staff was phenomenal and helped explain the dishes to us. The coconut chicken was particularly tasty!

OMG What a wonderful place. We were staying 3 nights in Hoofddorp and liked this place SO MUCH we got take-out there [it is only take-out] twice. We had never eaten Indonesian food before and wanted to give it a try while we were in the Netherlands. We are so glad we did. There is really lovely park nearby with picnic tables, which made the meal even more enjolyable. IF you don’t speak Dutch, there is a super nice woman, Leeta , who works there who speaks fluent English. She patiently explained what everything was and how the menu worked. The first time we ordered 2 Rames , a choice of noodles, white rice or rice cooked with coconut milk and herbs (yum), 2 meat selections, and 3 veg. It comes in a rectangular box, and held more than we could eat. The next time we ordered one large Rames [Euro 12,25] and three sides [Euro 7] so we could try more items. It was a real feast for Euro19,25.

Good food, but it appears as if they have changed staff, which takes away the sense of customer friendliness a bit.

Too Dutch in terms of taste, sweet, not spicy. More than enough quantity, but overfilling a container does not do any good to the taste. So either separate containers, fewer containers or a larger surface area.

Real Indian food. Rice table for 8 people was more than enough to give the guests some food to take home, as we were used to in the past. Every dish was excellently prepared. For the whiners among us. The pieces of cabbage could have been cut smaller.

very tasty Indonesian food! wide variety of choices including snacks and kueh. the portion was generous! we had the beehoon (noodles) as main instead of rice. the sauces were thick and good. Down side, it doesnt allow dine in, so we had the dishes on top of our car boot. The place could be easily missed as well.
