Very tasty food, nice portions for a good price. The only downside is the parking, which is a real nightmare, but otherwise it's perfectly fine. It would be nice if there was a cozy place to sit; a bit more light inside and some music would immediately create a different ambiance.

After not having been there for years, I was taken along by family to get food. And I feasted my eyes on all that delicious food. Often, the food in Asian grocery stores looks tasty, but when you get home, you regret buying it. This time I regretted it too... but regretted that I didn't get more right away!!! It was delicious. We got 5 containers for €12.50 that you could fill with rice, lots of vegetables, and many different kinds of meat. I had chosen only vegetarian dishes. And even though I am a meat eater, I didn't miss it at all here! I really thought it would be too much, but within a few minutes I had emptied the whole container!! Everything is seasoned exactly as it should be! Unfortunately, I don't live nearby, but this is definitely a place to go back to, even if I have to drive an average of 50 minutes to get there.

The food is fine, but hygiene is unfortunately a recurring problem. The food at Toko Pandora in Hoofddorp tastes fine in itself. Unfortunately, one's appetite is regularly completely ruined by a serious lack of hygiene in the kitchen and behind the counter. Unfortunately, the staff seem to be slow learners when it comes to basic hygiene. Despite previous remarks, the staff consistently refuses to wear a hood or hairnet while preparing and serving food. The logical, but very disgusting, consequence of this is that a long, dirty hair is periodically found in the food.

Nasi Padang Toko Pandora, near Nieuweweg, is a good option if you're staying around the area and craving some Indonesian food. They've apparently been operating for around 30 years, so they must be doing something right. 😁 The Nasi Padang is tasty, with a good selection of lauk and familiar flavours that hit the spot when you're far from home. If you're nearby and suddenly craving Nasi Padang, definitely worth dropping by. 🇮🇩🍛

Picked up a rijsttafel and extras; it was delicious, sufficiently well-packaged, friendly service, and what a selection! We will be back for takeaway.

I think it's mostly for take away, there are few tables but it's not an atmosphere to dine in. But the food is really nice and have very good amount for the price! Highly recommend it

I was very disappointed from the food we ordered. The meatballs where nice but the satay was just fat no meat. And the other food had no taste. There are much better places to eat authentic indonesian food.

Tl;dr Amazing food, must try at least once. This is literally a hidden gem. It could do with better advertisement, as it does not look all that appealing from the outside. However, food is very delicious and servers were super nice. I will definitely come back next time I'm in the Netherlands!

The roti wasn't very good. I wouldn't be ordering that again anytime soon. The satay was tasty but very expensive for 3 skewers without sauce. (They had also forgotten the sauce at first, so I had to go back.)

5/5 Stars Hands down the best authentic Indonesian take-away! I am officially a raving fan of Toko Pandora. As someone who isn't Dutch and didn’t have much experience with Indonesian cuisine, I wasn't sure what to expect—but this place blew me away. The Food: Simply incredible. It was easily the best Asian take-away I’ve ever enjoyed. Everything tasted authentic, fresh, and deeply flavorful. We tried a massive spread: Gado Gado, Sate Ayam, Rames with Nasi Kuning, Rendang, Ayam Ketjap, and of course, the Loempia. Every single dish was a hit. The Service: The place was buzzingpeople were ordering left, right, and center, which is always a great sign. Despite how busy they were, the service was outstanding. A lovely Indonesian lady helped me navigate the menu with so much passion and gave it her all to ensure I had a great meal. Value: The prices are more than fair, especially considering the quality and the generous portions. Verdict: I cannot recommend them highly enough. If you want a real taste of Indonesia, this is the spot. Thank you for the amazing food! I’ll be back very soon!

I used to come here often, and it was always very busy with takeout and diners in the seating area. Today, after lunch, it's much quieter, and there are few people waiting. The quality and selection are still unsurpassed. Friendly staff and delicious food.

The food is delicious. It was noticeable, however, that the woman behind the counter wears her hair loose. That doesn't look hygienic. Hairnets are worn in the kitchen, but not at the counter. This is odd and unfortunately detracts from the good impression of the food.

Delicious food for really little money!

November 21, 2017 I regularly get excellent Indonesian food here, and yesterday we thought we'd have gado gado there. I've never had such bad gado gado. The satay sauce was rubbish, poured over the vegetables, completely lacking flavor. This was also the opinion of two other diners who know how it should taste. The dish was partially warm from the microwave. Too bad, but I'll never order gado gado again. July 6, 2029 Rames got a large vegetarian option, excellent for a very good price. They offer the option of putting vegetables/meat in separate containers for an additional charge of, for example, €1.00. Updated February 7, 2026 The food is still excellent. The entrance is still a disaster for strollers and wheelchairs.

I used to like it better. The food has little flavor.

The price-quality ratio is old-fashioned. One tray of ramekins is enough to feed the average person for two days. The staff is friendly and the food is great! Parking is a bit tricky, as there are only three spaces in front of the door. Parking is available on the street across the street.

Sorry to say not to eat a few years ago perfect but now she sits with her hands pressing food and meat is rock hard got 3 menus and two family members sick not normal sus.

It used to be good. But I don't go there anymore. The lady serving the food is unappetizing. Long, unkempt hair hangs over the food bowls. The bowls used to be full, but now there's much less. The taste isn't what it used to be either. They use a lot of Vetsin. It's a shame it's going downhill. Friends and acquaintances don't go there anymore either.

Dear Toko Pandora, I'm giving you 3 stars because I don't like tricks. When I order in-store, I get a lot, and the container often can't even close properly. Three times now, when I order online via WhatsApp, I get more rice and less meat and vegetables, and there's even room left in the container. This means I'll have to place large orders in-store next time to get what I'm used to from you. Such a shame.

November 2025: Prices are now 13,00 euro for large, 12,00 euro for small. Still very friendly and delicious! November 2024: It's possible to eat in again! Price did go up again to 12,75 euro for a big portion, 11,75 for a small one. There's no more surcharge for choosing any of the base rice dishes. Delicious, as always. October 2023: No more eating in unfortunately but the food is good as ever. Simply delicious. Friendly staff. Prices are now 12 euro for a big portion, including plastic tax. 2018: Delicious food. Big portions although the take away portions are 75% rice and just a little meat and veggies. If you eat in you get a very well stacked plate with much more food for the same price. Price depends on the type of rice you take. It's 9.50 euro for nassi, 9.00 euro for white rice and 10.00 euro for yellow rice. You get to choose two meat dishes and three vegetable dishes. Deduct one euro for a small portion. Free drinking water and kroepoek if you're eating in. 4 very narrow free parking spaces in front, more free parking one block away. Card payments accepted. Free customer toilet avaliable.

Rames is fine, but I'm not entirely sure how fresh the fresh products behind the display case are. 😒 "Freshly baked prawn crackers" aren't fresh anymore, but rather old, with lots of hard bits and therefore the taste isn't good. I threw the bag away. The layer cake doesn't smell quite right anymore either, so I threw it away. I have the impression it's been sitting there a bit too long. The lemper feels hard, which is another indication. I'll get back to you on how it tastes. 🤣

This was catering for a birthday party at home. The selection of dishes was excellent, and the food itself was excellent. More than enough for the 15 people, and the two birthday boys were able to enjoy it again the next day. It was also nice that you didn't have to wash the bowls, serving spoons, and tongs. And the price was very reasonable.

Toko Pandora has been our favorite store for ages! The quality is always top-notch and consistent! The quantity is perfect! The snacks are delicious! We tried other stores a few times for variety, but always ended up coming back to Toko Pandora. My father, Ronald, came by every week to pick up food, which speaks volumes! Toko Pandora is unique! Yesterday, August 10, 2025, Toko Pandora provided the catering. Wow!!!! Everything is truly top-notch!! Plates, cutlery, warming trays, etc. So good! Everything tasted amazing! Christiaan and Erik did a fantastic job with delivery and preparation. Everything is SUPER!!

Delicious food for a great price

Unfortunately, lemper has changed completely since the coronavirus pandemic. It's just like everywhere else, it's not tasty anymore. Back when the owner was still alive, lemper used to have a different color and lots of spices. It was incredibly delicious, but not anymore. It's also noticeable that the staff is different every time, which makes you think, "Hmm, something's wrong?" It's also noticeable that all the food tastes absolutely the same every time, which leads you to suspect common flavor enhancers and additives.

Wonderful Indonesian food with generous portions, friendly service and overall welcoming atmosphere. You can choose a base (e.g. rice, noodles, yellow rice) and with the "small" portion for 11,25€ I could choose 5 vegetarian toppings. I was proper full and proper happy afterwards. Dining in was possible when I went! That does mean eating from a box on a tray, but they have tables and they heat up the food.

Wow, happy to find Indonesian food near Schipol area. Eating a rames for two people only costs around 25€, the portion is quite big for my small stomach, I ordered small rames which cost around 11€-ish got fried rice with 2 side dishes, and 3 veggie dishes. It was pretty tasty, drink was free!

Nasi Koening (yellow rice), haricort verts, daging rendang (fat had not been removed and that really did not taste good), ajam ketjap (contained a not too small bone. I almost had to go back to the hospital, even though I had just come from there...), rempeng balls (yummy!) and a corn cake, which was dripping with fat! The flies, which we had to fan away all the time, made me really grumpy! - Nice lady, who dished up the food.

Always a lot of choice. And recently you can eat in the toko again, I saw. Every time I come in, it smells the same as my parents' toko, in the 70s in Amsterdam.

The most delicious Indonesian dishes from North Holland. Saté Pandora with Satay sauce super tasty. A real recommendation for the gourmet.

Very good quality of food. Think one of the best satay and satay sauce I have eaten in a long time. Large portion also for 12.50. A lot of noodles and little meat, so I would have made it 13.50, also a slightly bigger difference with the small portion of 11.50.
