We come here often, and the food is still delicious. Friendly staff and fast service. It's the first time since the renovation, which is a huge improvement; it looks really atmospheric and spacious. It's a bit of a shame, though, that the dessert section is now on the menu and you can help yourself. The menu used to have mochi balls, for example, and those are unfortunately gone. The staff did give us a good explanation, which is understandable. But we weren't particularly impressed with the ice cream, nor were the few appetizers. We'd rather pay a bit more for something truly delicious than this. But that's just our personal taste, and aside from that, this restaurant is highly recommended.

We had a wonderful meal at Tokyo Lounge. There's no time limit, which is great, and only two dishes per round allow you to dine for a long time without feeling full. The sushi was all super fresh and delicious; you could tell it wasn't waiting hours for it to be ready, but made to order. The hot dishes were also excellent. I definitely recommend eating here!

Delicious food and fast service

Bizarre!!! Made a reservation for 5 people. Waited 25 minutes for food and drinks. While it can be busy, I understand, but they didn't even take the time to bring us drinks while waiting for our food. We ordered two or three rounds in those 25 minutes and received nothing. We got up and walked to the neighboring Goya. They welcomed us warmly, even though they were full. Our food and drinks arrived within 5 minutes. Conclusion: never again at Tokyo Lounge!

We had a truly delicious meal here. It's also great that you don't have to wait 15 minutes between rounds, but can order again right away. This is ideal if you're with children who aren't very patient. The service staff was fantastic, especially with the kids. Communication with the lady at reception was less than ideal.

I have to say I had a regular place in Tiel but I have now been there about 6 times, most of them cannot compete with the food, it is really super tasty and I will go back soon, especially if you have to give points between 1 and 10, this is worth a big 10

Recently ate at Tokyo Lounge in Tiel and what a great experience! The service was great: friendly staff, served quickly and empty plates were neatly collected. Ordering via the tablet worked smoothly and the menu was clear, with a huge choice, from classic sushi to luxury sashimi and special rolls. Everything was fresh, tasty and well presented. Even the more exclusive dishes were included, which is a real plus. Went there after the renovation and the interior also deserves a compliment: the tables are spacious and the whole thing looks super sleek and modern. An absolute must for lovers of Japanese cuisine. I will definitely come back!

The outside looks 'less quality' but nothing could be further from the truth. The dishes are delicious, especially the tenderloin, I have never eaten so much meat. The sushi is also delicious for the price you pay. Service was very fast and friendly. I will definitely come back here!!

Had a great time at Tokyo Lounge in Tiel. Both the entire interior and the menu have been renewed and you can choose from more than 110 dishes! Extremely friendly staff and of course the food was also of top quality! I thought it was a real plus that you could choose medium or well done for the meat dishes. All in all a great experience and we will definitely come back here again!🥰

We recently had dinner in the renovated restaurant after we had not been here for over 5 years. The service upon arrival was top notch, but unfortunately we were no longer satisfied with the food. We used to come here for the good quality and more luxurious sushi than at other places, which is now becoming more and more similar. In any case, not very innovative and that is a shame. The interior is not yet very warm and somewhat lacking in atmosphere, but in any case they really did their best in terms of service and that was certainly not the fault. We may have to go back again or our expectations were too high, but for us it was no longer what it was then.

Yesterday we had dinner at Tokyo lounge again for some time. Nice reception, renovation is not quite our mood. But that's a matter of taste. Food was good, serving was also good and fast. But I was still disappointed when I started the dessert. I had scooped mango ice cream and started it with good intentions. The first bite I took, I found a very sharp piece of white plastic in my mouth, almost 1cm in size. And by sharp I mean really sharp. Fortunately, I usually let the ice cream melt a bit in my mouth before swallowing. This allowed me to find the piece and spit it out. I immediately reported this to the lady at the bar. This lady was shocked and went to look at the mango ice cream. And then went to her manager. After this nothing really happened... you would expect them to take away the remaining ice and apologize... but nothing like this. We were quite disappointed, especially by the size and sharpness of the piece of plastic. If I had swallowed this, I could have had major problems, in the form of a stomach or intestinal perforation. But again nothing happened from the manager. When leaving the restaurant, we were politely asked if everything was to your liking. We then reported the incident again, but there was actually no response. It was only reported that we buy the ice cream so... we can't do anything about this... and that was it. I did not feel taken seriously and believe that the manager should have at least removed the mango ice cream to ensure that other guests/customers were not at risk of a piece of plastic in their ice cream. I think the risk here was misjudged and was dealt with far too laxly. I also think an apology is in order.

Have been coming here for years. After the renovation/expansion it became very beautiful and much larger. Enjoyed the delicious sushi, sashimi and other dishes. Highly recommended.

Visited a new business. Looks nice. The quality of the food is slightly lower than before. Sushi rolls don't taste that good anymore. It's as if a little less attention has been given to it. Teppan yaki and wok were quite good. Staff is very friendly and makes you feel welcome.

The place is really good and I had the dinner option which included unlimited choice of food and then drink costs extra… I hardly found some vegan option but the waiter help me and customise the vegan sushi’s for me, that was the best part.. The food was really great, but we had to wait over an hour for 1 round before we even had anything. Round 2 had not yet been completely served and round 3 was already being served. While there was an order time of 30 minutes. Then round 4, 1 thing ordered also 20 minutes. When we asked for compensation, we were just shy of being laughed at and made it our problem. As a final score we only had 2 drinks as compensation for waiting longer than eating. I've never had it this bad at any other all you can eat. You won't see us here again.
