Delicious food! The staff is always friendly and has a cheerful demeanor. Not too expensive for what you get, and the wait wasn't long either.

First sushi place I've been to. No point of comparison, but the food was very tasty. The atmosphere and ambiance could be a bit cozier.

We visit Tokyolounge regularly. The food is always super delicious, the atmosphere is very cozy, and the service is great. Yesterday we went with my son on his birthday; I had mentioned it in the reservation, and even before I had to ask, there were fireworks ready for him 🥰. They really make it a party 🥳

It has become a beautiful, fresh, and spacious location. It looks absolutely beautiful after the renovation. We found the sushi disappointing. Sometimes too salty and small pieces. The dessert corner isn't very extensive either, unfortunately. Lots of ice cream flavors, but that's about it. It also took quite a while before we received ours. Later in the evening it went faster, but it was also less busy.

I haven't had such bad sushi takeout anywhere in recent years; a real disappointment, dry and very little fish used.

Tip for the owner: do not accept new tables if it is actually too busy to provide good service. After well over an hour and 15 minutes, we had received only a small part of our order. If you have a table at 7:30 PM and have barely eaten by 8:45 PM, something is wrong. When we wanted to bring this up, it turned out there was little overview of what had been ordered and what had already been served. The receipts had disappeared and we even had to order again, which is obviously not the intention. We just wanted to get what we had ordered on the table and certainly no discussion at the table. We regularly eat all-inclusive in the Randstad area, but the quality, service, and atmosphere fell far short of what we are used to. It is a shame, because based on the reviews, our expectations were for a pleasant evening with good food.

The food was very good. Unfortunately, it sometimes took 30 to 45 minutes to be served. Some items were never brought. To top it all off, a portion of prawns was brought when the coffee had already run out. Hopefully, they will get things a bit better under control now that they have grown so big. Because in the past, the food and atmosphere were always better.

Sushi restaurant with an all-you-can-eat concept. Service is sometimes friendly, but sometimes rude. Slams the sushi plates on the table with a slam, uninterested. Sometimes the food is cold when it is supposed to be hot; the overall quality of the food is not great. Once is enough, never again.

We ate here on Sunday, April 12th, with four of us. We had a nice spot by the window. The food was very tasty, the service was polite, and we were told what was being served. The only thing we could do without is the sashimi with a lot of crushed ice underneath. We will definitely be back!

Went here on the recommendation of friends. We are all quite familiar with Japan and would appreciate this, considering that, compared to another Japanese restaurant in Amsterdam, it would be a top-notch establishment and come very close to that same quality. The tuna; yes indeed, that is incredibly good, close to Japanese quality! Salmon; OK, not outstanding but certainly tasty The Unagi; disappointing, too dry and too much sauce Wagyu tartare; tastes like regular minced meat, perhaps of lower quality but certainly not real wagyu tartare. The staff made quite a few mistakes mixing up plates etc., the turnaround time is also annoying; you get a single piece of sushi and you are allowed to order once every 10 minutes. 3 bites only to have to wait again was really nerve-wracking. Overall: fine place, better than others, a bit priceier. Not outstanding.

I recently visited Tokyo Lounge again after a break, and unfortunately, my experience was less positive than I'd hoped. One of the biggest drawbacks is the lack of a dedicated counter staff member. Upon arrival, there was no one to greet us, meaning we had to wait a long time before being helped. The same was true for the checkout; there too, no one was present, resulting in unnecessary wait times. This doesn't come across as welcoming and detracts from the overall experience. Since the renovation, the cozy atmosphere Tokyo Lounge once had has unfortunately completely disappeared. The tables are very close together, so close that you're literally looking at your neighbors' plates. This feels uncomfortable and makes the experience very impersonal. The staff consists mainly of young employees who walk around visibly hurried and stressed. There's little to no contact with the guests, which makes the service feel distant. This may be due to the management style; I saw the owner busy with bar staff and even nudging a staff member towards the kitchen to help her walk faster. This didn't come across as professional. Furthermore, a large portion of the staff seems inexperienced, which is understandable given their age. I think it would be better for the dynamic and calm atmosphere of the workplace to have more experienced, mature staff serving. Finally, it was noticeable that the kitchen seems quite small in relation to the restaurant since the renovation, which may contribute to the hectic atmosphere among the staff. All in all, I think Tokyo Lounge has suffered significantly in terms of organization and atmosphere. With better staffing, a more relaxed atmosphere, and a focus on hospitality, the experience could be significantly improved.

We come here often, and the food is still delicious. Friendly staff and fast service. It's the first time since the renovation, which is a huge improvement; it looks really atmospheric and spacious. It's a bit of a shame, though, that the dessert section is now on the menu and you can help yourself. The menu used to have mochi balls, for example, and those are unfortunately gone. The staff did give us a good explanation, which is understandable. But we weren't particularly impressed with the ice cream, nor were the few appetizers. We'd rather pay a bit more for something truly delicious than this. But that's just our personal taste, and aside from that, this restaurant is highly recommended.

We had a wonderful meal at Tokyo Lounge. There's no time limit, which is great, and only two dishes per round allow you to dine for a long time without feeling full. The sushi was all super fresh and delicious; you could tell it wasn't waiting hours for it to be ready, but made to order. The hot dishes were also excellent. I definitely recommend eating here!

Bizarre!!! Made a reservation for 5 people. Waited 25 minutes for food and drinks. While it can be busy, I understand, but they didn't even take the time to bring us drinks while waiting for our food. We ordered two or three rounds in those 25 minutes and received nothing. We got up and walked to the neighboring Goya. They welcomed us warmly, even though they were full. Our food and drinks arrived within 5 minutes. Conclusion: never again at Tokyo Lounge!

We had a truly delicious meal here. It's also great that you don't have to wait 15 minutes between rounds, but can order again right away. This is ideal if you're with children who aren't very patient. The service staff was fantastic, especially with the kids. Communication with the lady at reception was less than ideal.

I have to say I had a regular place in Tiel but I have now been there about 6 times, most of them cannot compete with the food, it is really super tasty and I will go back soon, especially if you have to give points between 1 and 10, this is worth a big 10

Recently ate at Tokyo Lounge in Tiel and what a great experience! The service was great: friendly staff, served quickly and empty plates were neatly collected. Ordering via the tablet worked smoothly and the menu was clear, with a huge choice, from classic sushi to luxury sashimi and special rolls. Everything was fresh, tasty and well presented. Even the more exclusive dishes were included, which is a real plus. Went there after the renovation and the interior also deserves a compliment: the tables are spacious and the whole thing looks super sleek and modern. An absolute must for lovers of Japanese cuisine. I will definitely come back!

The outside looks 'less quality' but nothing could be further from the truth. The dishes are delicious, especially the tenderloin, I have never eaten so much meat. The sushi is also delicious for the price you pay. Service was very fast and friendly. I will definitely come back here!!
