Tom Yam in Wijk 01 Centrum Zeist

When ordering, we were greeted by a gentleman who "knew everything better" and wasn't receptive to customer requests. It was an unpleasant experience, and extra vegetables weren't allowed because they weren't "part of the dish." We immediately canceled the order and won't be back.

The food and service are fantastic, truly delicious. The host is very friendly, and everything is deliciously fresh! The atmosphere and decor could be better, but definitely no problem for takeout. I'll be back!

We came here “by accident” as we did not plan to come to this city and found the restaurant in the last minute but it surprised me how good the food AND drinks were. If you want real Thai foods and drinks as you could find in Thailand, here is the place to come. They deserve better popularity. The service were a bit slow though as there were only one lady and one gentleman who did all the work from cooking, service and so… But once again, the food and drinks worth the wait 😄

Chicken satay: more salt than herbs and the sauce is just ready-made from probably Wyko. Nothing original or authentic Thai. Still give 1 star because luckily chicken thigh was used. And that for 10 euros for 2 skewers. First and last time.

Just on a lovely summer day I saw a small sign and thought. I'm hungry, now I was already planning to eat something somewhere, I didn't know this Thai restaurant yet, I'm always up for a new experience... It looked delicious on the sign. So, why not. I asked if they were open yet, to which I enthusiastically replied yes. I was immediately given many options, so I said I would like to be surprised. Really delicious food, fresh vegetables such as peppers and potatoes. Nice restaurant You can eat outside, where you can sit quietly. Inside it is nicely and cozily decorated. Open kitchen, which was beautifully clean. Nice and tasty to enjoy Thai cuisine. Fanta has changed its taste. That will be something different next time.

Definitely my best Thai meal. I had the mango chicken - very, very tasty! The service was also great.

The food was delicious. The curries were very tasty. We ordered a dessert so we were allowed to stay after closing time. Really nice extra service!

How delicious this is! Just a clear map with sufficient variation. The wonderful scents greet you as soon as you enter. And whatever you choose... every taste bud in your mouth will be pampered. Tasty spices, the right amount of spice, good portions. And yes, before you can take a photo of the food, your tablemate has already removed it. Delicious, recommended!

I have supported this restaurant for years since it opened. In the beginning very tasty, authentic food. However, I recently had spoiled food that made me vomit and had a night full of cramps. It already tasted weird. I have been back to report this neatly and calmly. It was 100% of the food because I hadn't eaten anything else that day. After having been a loyal customer for years, I have had NO service AT ALL, no money back or no other offer, no danger, no excuses. On the contrary, I was sent away and gaslighted that it couldn't have been that. And that I had to google what food poisoning meant. Embarrassing. And that for high prices.

Terrible experience! I ordered Pad Thai and Green Curry, and both were extremely disappointing—the worst I’ve ever had. But the real issue was the delivery service. They require a minimum order of €40 for delivery, plus an additional €4 fee, which I was fine with. However, the delivery person refused to bring the food to my flat or even the building entrance. Instead, he was waiting in an alley and wouldn’t come any closer. Absolutely unacceptable!

This is truly a hidden diamond. Authentic Thai food that is freshly prepared. It's a bit out of the way but it's worth the visit.

I have visited here on two occasions and found the food to be delicious. The cha yen red tea very nice for a hot afternoon. The Green and Massaman curries also delicious and good portion size!

Had a pleasant meal in this compact restaurant, which is located just behind a row of shops. Just go through the hallway from the shopping street and it will be on your left. The owners are Thai and Hageneese who work hard to serve authentic Thai dishes or have them delivered. A place for me to come back to.

In the heart of the quiet and relaxed town of Zeist: the food is very good here, everything is prepared freshly with quality ingredients, and the portions are generous. Don't be in too much of a hurry and also be prepared to pay for a glass of water - maybe that's normal in the Netherlands?

After more than a year in the vicinity of Zeist and to avoid the traffic jam to the south, we had another delicious meal in this great restaurant. What delicious dishes they have here. In everything you notice that it is prepared with a lot of love and passion. Delicious spicy soup and fresh satay. And the main course was so tasty that you actually wanted to continue eating and order another portion. But because the portions are not small anyway, I decided not to do that and opted for a new desert Affogato. Not really Thai, but delicious because Tom (the owner and chef) and his wife have given it their own twist. I can recommend anyone in Zeist who is looking for authentic Thai cuisine where you can indicate your personal wishes, to visit Tom Yam. You definitely won't regret it.

Had a delicious lunch at Tom Yam with a friend for the first time. Highly recommended. Everything was well organised. It looked neat and tidy. You really get value for your money, worth repeating.

Very good and authentic food as well as nice staff! We were on the way home from our Netherlands trip and just stopped there for lunch. The restaurant was unexpectedly empty but that didn't scare us. At the end it was the best decision, food was very authentic and vegetables were very fresh. the menu card was also not too overloaded which made it easier for us to choose something. definitely worth the money. I can definitely recommend the green curry for those who like it a bit more spicy :)

Heerlijk gegeten. Vriendelijk geholpen en niet opdringerig. Op ons menu de kipsaté en de Curry. Echt heerlijk. Wat over was can de Curry ging mee naar huis voor de volgende dag. We komen zeker terug.

What a surprise! A cozy, unknown Thai restaurant in Zeist. We went with friends, who have eaten here before and were completely satisfied. The owner cooks himself with his wife. The kitchen is open, which I always find special, so you can see how hard they work to make a delicious meal. Because it was delicious! Well cared for, fresh ingredients and truly Thai. Price/quality ratio is excellent. The restaurant is very nicely decorated, really atmospheric. The service is also very good. In short, we will definitely come back!

When you see such a high rating on the internet. I assume that it also delivers real Thai quality. The dishes do not resemble the real Thai intense beautiful flavors made with love, as I am used to in the Netherlands. With the first bite of the spring roll there was a black long hair from start to finish. The ingredients seemed old and all dishes were somewhat monotonous in taste and appearance. The homemade lemonade was too expensive and too sweet for our taste. At checkout we were immediately asked if we wanted to leave a review. Now I understand the 'high' rating, but would never go here again. Shame!

We recently went to this Thai restaurant for the first time. It is nicely decorated, the ambiance is great, which makes eating on site easy, although it seems to be a little more focused on takeaway. It took a while before it was our turn, I think this was because the gentleman was standing alone and because there were several orders. it took about 45 minutes before we could take our order (we did not find this annoying). The food is delicious! because everything is made fresh, it takes time. We had a wonderful meal with 6 people! highly recommended for top Thai food! take your time when you pass by here.

We made a last minute reservation with 6 adults, 3 kids and a baby. Meals go per person but we wanted to share the food which was no problem at all. Delicious Thai food. Some curry's spicy yet not too spicy. Other curry's not spicy at all. Portions and meat are reasonable as well as the prices. Very helpful and friendly owner who made a birthday desert with a little present for the birthday boy. Great experience all in all.

Delicious food! When we received our soup and main course, the smells and flavors in combination with the decoration of the restaurant brought us back to our fantastic holiday in Thailand. The owner is very helpful, friendly and adjusts the spiciness of the dishes to your liking. We definitely want to come back again for the massaman curry and the atmosphere!

I took my dad here for dinner. Nicely decorated restaurant, cozy and modern at the same time. It is run by a Thai-Dutch couple. Food was good and for a good price. Next time I would like to come back with the whole family.

I ordered my food at 5:00 PM and indicated that I would pick it up at 6:30 PM, because I came from Alkmaar. The food was ready when I came to pick it up and I paid and took it with me. According to the owner, it had everything in it. When we got home, it turned out that one dish (pad thai) was missing. According to the gentleman, he put everything in the plastic bag and that was it. So you have to check carefully whether you get everything in this case, otherwise you are a liar! Dear owner, just think about this. When I order food from you to eat with my mother, I will not sit in the car for an hour and a half and allegedly rob you for 1 dish. In my opinion, no service and good control from you.

Overpriced Pad Thai and not special in taste. For spicy fish sauce with peppers you have to pay 2 euros extra, which I have never experienced before and is also not hospitable in my opinion... in any case, I will not be coming back here again!

The food tasted excellent and definitely deserved the price. This is how good Thai food tastes! The portions are perfect. Plenty, but without being overwhelming. The team was always open-minded and attentive. The restaurant impresses with its charming and comfortable furnishings. Sitting outside in the courtyard is also nice and quiet and relaxing. Overall, it's definitely worth a visit.

Very nice outdoor dining, food was very good! Spring rolls are nice and soft on the inside and crispy on the outside. And the satay was a large plate full, very tasty fried rice, the vegetables were slightly spicy which made it tasty and the satay including a piece of pineapple was wonderfully firm with the tastiest satay sauce. Will definitely come back!

I'm disappointed that I can't give a higher rating. But the service was just really inadequate. There were two people in the kitchen who also had to serve. It was so busy that it was difficult to serve. Result: a long wait. Too bad, because we came precisely for the high rating. The food was really good.
