This restaurant is an absolute disgrace and a disgrace for the catering industry! We had sat down at a table and wanted to order when suddenly a group of women who had arrived clearly after us were given priority and served immediately. That alone was incredibly disrespectful. But then an extremely arrogant and incredibly rude waiter came, put a reservation sign on our table without comment and said in a derogatory tone that we had to vacate the table because it was supposedly reserved - of course we weren't told that beforehand! The whole interaction was characterized by a coldness and condescension that I have never experienced before. This so-called service is an absolute disaster. No one should ever set foot here if they value respect, hospitality and good service. This behavior is not only unprofessional, but downright disgusting. I seriously hope that there are consequences for this behavior - because that was abysmal! That waiter should have been spit in the face, but I wasn't about to trash a store over a leek.

Had severe stomach pain after eating

The waiter in this shop was an absolute disgrace and should urgently consider another career choice. From the first contact, he had an incredibly condescending and disrespectful manner that could immediately spoil your appetite. While we politely waited to place our order, he was more occupied with looking at his phone and having loud private conversations with colleagues. But it gets worse: When we politely asked for a little more time, he gave us an annoyed look, mumbled something incomprehensible and simply disappeared. Later, we even heard him making derogatory comments about us in a corner of the restaurant that he apparently thought were funny. I have never experienced such behavior in my entire life - absolutely unprofessional, disrespectful and simply unbelievable. This waiter is the epitome of bad gastronomy. I will never enter this store again!

Super cozy and cozy lunch restaurant! Delicious sandwiches & soup ☺️ There is a very handsome guy in the kitchen who occasionally distracted me, but other than that I had a great meal 😂❤️🥳 Would recommend! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

A great restaurant, exactly what we wanted. Easily accessible. Short waiting time. Very friendly and attentive service. You feel very comfortable as a guest. Tasty food at moderate prices. The language hurdle was skillfully overcome. Thank you for your hospitality!

The Chicken Guacamole Sourdough Sandwich was amazing.

We went for brunch, we tried the sandwiches and they were very delicious, the portions of the dishes are large. It is a small but cozy place, we feel that they take their time to make the food well and that is reflected in the flavor.

Food was a little dry, especially the club sandwich. The waiter was a little confused and forgot or didn't realize a few things. The restaurant itself is rather small and is furnished okay. The toilet is rather unhygienic and small. But still, looking at the whole stay, it was small and nice.🥰

We were waiting for more than 40 minutes for a croque madame and is the worst one I’ve ever seen. Just a market bought bread with some chips for a side. Wowww

Unfortunately I was not allowed to order. We sat outside and saw that it was busy, which doesn't hurt of course. Inside they said that we would have to wait a while but that we could order a drink. After waiting 15-20 minutes for the menu to order a drink, we continued to the bar next door. We can understand the crowds and waiting is not a problem, but please try to give us the menu as you suggested!

You have to be patient in this restaurant. 30min wait for hot chocolate and tea..

We had to go to the waitress to tell her we wanted to order, because it took such a long time for them to come. And then the food took such a long time to arrive, even though the restaurant was not full. The service was not great unfortunately.

We can recommend the restaurant Mega. Mega cute inside and small. The food was very tasty and came quickly. The service was also super nice and friendly! Would come back anytime!🫶🏼✨

This is a lovley little place for a good breakfast. You get a quite big amout of food for a good price. The food is delicious and served in a very cute way :-) The staff is friendly. Only the tabels could be a bit bigger and the Room may should be renovated.

The food was pretty good, it took a while to serve us but there was only one person working. The rest all very well.

Ate very well. I can only recommend it. The service was 0k. Waiting time reasonable. What really doesn't work are the toilets. It needs to be cleaned up. There should also be toilet paper and paper towels for your hands

We stumbled upon this place and it exceeded our expectations!! Bread on the sandwiches was absolutely amazing, the soups was soooo delicious and everyone loved their food.

The salad was drowned in mayonnaise I couldn’t eat it. I left hungry

Small restaurant for a leisurely (but fortunately quick) lunch. Compared to the other restaurants nearby, it is quite cheap with a good selection. The dishes are lovingly prepared and the salad is very fresh. It was quite empty and we were served very lovingly even shortly before closing time. It seems a little dark, but it's worth it.

People are very welcoming The portions are very generous.

Very cozy place! Nice service, a bit unkempt (I don't need to see the underpants...) I was really looking forward to the old cheese sandwich; unfortunately no pickle, no mustard. 3 slices of sticky (not old) cheese on a bun with mayonnaise. Very sorry! It was immediately taken from the bill and given a smoothie, so the service was absolutely excellent. Croque madame: simple sandwich without béchamel sauce. Tasted fine. I wouldn't eat there again. Too expensive lunch for just a little too little quality.

Small is beautiful! We had a great time at Toos&Roos. The homemade fresh soup and sandwich with avocado salad were great!

Poor quality of food and service. Avocado toast was with old avocado and less of vegetables.

I'll precise that this is the first time I write a review, this just shows how terribly disappointed I was with this place. We waited about 45 minutes for our food which consisted of salads and sandwiches... They made us pay more for stuff we didn't order. Overall a pretty bad experience paired with the absurd price of a quiche I ordered, which very much looked like one you'd find in a supermarket for not more than 2€. Avoid at all costs.

Came upon this place when our first choice had a waiting line. Food was very good and reasonably priced.

Genuinely one of the best breakfasts I’ve ever had! I’ve been traveling Europe and have tried a variety of things. All I can say, is that the English Breakfast brought me back to life. Gave me all the energy I needed for the day. 100% will be back.

We came here spontaneously because the 1 hour waiting line in front of the CHUN was too much for us. The food was very tasty and the service was friendly. We had the chicken guacamole sandwich as well as the house lunch menu. The food came very quickly. I highly recommend it.

Open since 9:00 We arrived at 10:10 and there was only “continental breakfast” served. While pancakes are only served until 12:00. Amazing. Then the order took more than 30 minutes to arrive even though there were 4 of us in the restaurant. In short, for a taste without more, it was perhaps a bad day but I don't really recommend this place.

Great place for brunch! Very friendly personnel. Even though it was busy, they were ready to help. Cute little restaurant. Hard working employees!

A small breakfast & lunch place in the busy Amsterdam 🤩 I'm not even a big bread, sandwich person but I decided to go for it with a friend. Staffs are very friendly by the time we entered and the club sandwich I ordered was so delicious, I have to say it's the best sandwich I've had. Portion is great, warm service, attention staffs. We'll sure come back, thank you so much 😀

cute spot in the centre of Amsterdam for coffee or lunch. The soup was super (and huge) and the omelette was perfect. Loads of chunky rye bread too - really filling and tasty. Also great friendly service ! 🍴

Coffee was ok, but club sandwich was lazily tossed together. For 13€ I would‘ve expected a little more effort and at least a warm sandwich either way warm chicken on it. But I guess people still spend the money.

We went here after exploring the area for somewhere to have breakfast. The lad working seated us immediately and came to take our orders within a couple of minutes. I had the full English and my partner had the croque Madame. Both meals were absolutely incredible. The service was fantastic and the food was amazing. All very reasonable priced and again the service was absolutely fantastic. I have nothing bad to say about this place at all!

Ordered after 10 mins wait , then 10 mins later , told food not available as none left. Ordered something else. Coffee arrived, and we waited, 45mins. Then the worst club sandwich in the world arrived, it was terrible. A table of ladies arrived and sat next to us and suddenly they had food again that wasn't available earlier to us. A joke of a place, and the price was laughable. Rip of tourist place best avoided.

We did not enjoy our visit here. The waitress took the orders of people coming after us first without even giving us a drop of attention. The people who came after us got their food and drinks before us. We waited 30min for our order to be taken... After another 20min wait we finally got our food. The food was good but nothing special. Also we were promised a specific kind of drink, but got another one with the explanation that it's "just as good". A glass of apple juice (300ml) costs 5€. Even though the place is very sweet and cozy we will not be coming back :(

Buen lugar para comer, el personal es súper atento y amable, además la calidad de la comida es buenísima. Pedimos el sandwich de pollo con guacamole y el dutch lunch que viene muy completo por el precio que tiene. A destacar la sopa de tomate es totalmente casera y está buenisima.

Firstly, the croque madame was insanely good - like we were so surprised at how delicious it was. We ended up eating here as Chun further down the street was a 1hr wait (and that was before you were seated). The food here was good but it was very slow. Just looking back at my photos the time stamps show a 20minute wait between receiving our coffees and receiving our toasties - not including how long it took for the server to take our order in the first place and bring us the bill at the end. We were probably there for around an hour anyway. Staff seem over stretched despite it being a small location. Good if you have time to wait.

Auf der Suche nach einem Frühstück sind wir auf das kleine Lokal gestoßen. Es ist klein, aber hat eine tolle Atmosphäre und ist sehr witzig eingerichtet. Der Service war ausgezeichnet, das Frühstück ebenso. Alles war frisch und mit Liebe zubereitet. Die Hintergrundmusik war ganz nach unsrem Geschmack, 70er und 80er Rock. Wir haben unser Frühstück sehr genossen und würden auf jeden Fall auch zum Mittagessen dorthin gehen. Die Preise waren für Amsterdam ok.

Insgesamt waren wir wirklich sehr zufrieden mit unserem Besuch: Der Laden ist gemütlich und urig. Die Servicekraft war sehr freundlich und beherrscht (mind.) drei Sprachen. Das Essen war lecker und schön angerichtet. Die Preise dafür nachvollziehbar und deswegen vollkommen ok.
