The Breakfast Club was a really good place to stop for breakfast in Amsterdam. There was a good choice on the menu, with plenty of different breakfast and brunch options. The food came out looking fresh and well presented, and the portions were a decent size. Everything tasted good and the ingredients seemed good quality. It’s particularly good if you want a proper filling breakfast before spending the day walking around Amsterdam. The staff were friendly and the service was good even though the place can get fairly busy. We didn’t feel rushed and everything arrived without having to wait too long. Prices are a little higher than you might pay at a basic café, but that’s fairly normal for a popular breakfast spot in Amsterdam and the quality made it worthwhile. Overall, The Breakfast Club is a solid choice for breakfast or brunch. Good food, decent portions, friendly service and a comfortable atmosphere. I’d happily go back again.

It was very good. We went for late lunch and we got steak sandwich and london breakfast. Both were very very delicious. We left very happy!!

I went there for breakfast for three days straight. I tried a different menu item each morning, and the food was delicious. However, the service was really slow. The first day, I waited about 15-20 minutes just to place my order, and then I had to call the waiter to my table. And when I sat down at the dirty table, they served me before my table was cleaned. They're good at food, but they failed in terms of service.

We had a delicious breakfast. During our short trip to Amsterdam, this was the only place where you had to pay for still water instead of it being automatically provided free of charge (hence the one-star deduction for service). We were there on a Monday (Whitsun weekend) and had plenty of seating options; we didn't need a reservation.

I'm not sure I can comment on the food, as I ended up leaving after waiting more than 30 minutes without even having the chance to place my order. I don't blame the staff—they were clearly doing their best—but the restaurant seemed far too busy for the team to keep up with the demand. The dishes I saw being served looked really good, so I'm genuinely disappointed I didn't get the chance to try them. I hope to come back another time when it's less crowded.

The portions are very large and delicious. We ordered croissants and pancakes. The pancakes were huge; two of us struggled to finish them. You can get a satisfying meal for between 10-20 Euros per person.

Loved this place, super simple and easy, delicious food and attentive staff, always has people in and very affordable for amsterdam. They had many locations the one we went to currently has scaffolding but none the less wasn’t noise or didn’t disturb our view

I have been a regular customer here for lunch for 3 years now and I have never been disappointed. The service is always super friendly, attentive, and works quickly and well. I have never received anything wrong. Then there is the food; that too is good without exception, no matter what I order. Today I had the Caesar Wrap for the first time, delicious! This Breakfast Club is highly recommended!

Really good vegan avocado smash, with an extraordinary balsamico on top. And very well presented. Chai latte was very good, and good latte macchiato decaf. And the orange juice was really fresh, unlike other places where they serve you orange juice from the day before.

We had breakfast here over three mornings during our trip to Amsterdam, and it quickly became one of our favourite parts of the stay. Every morning the food was consistently amazing, the atmosphere was welcoming and relaxed, and it was the perfect way to start the day before exploring the city. Across the three days we tried a variety of dishes, and every single one was excellent. The eggs were cooked perfectly, the bacon was crispy and full of flavour, and the chilli oil added such a great kick. The scrambled eggs were incredibly creamy and fluffy, served with fresh salad and toasted bread that tasted just as fresh as everything else on the plate. The pancakes were also unforgettable — light, fluffy, beautifully presented, and topped with fresh fruit, powdered sugar, and toasted marshmallow for the perfect sweet breakfast treat. What stood out most was the consistency and attention to detail. Every plate looked stunning, portions were generous, and you could really taste the quality of the ingredients. The staff were always friendly, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcome each morning. Amsterdam has so many great food spots, but this place became our go-to breakfast spot throughout the trip. A true 5-star experience that we looked forward to every day, and somewhere we’d happily return to on our next visit.

Live close by. Do not come here if you have allergies. Told waiter about it. Food came, and immediate allergic reaction. This has happened 2 times. No regards for cross contamination. Same equipment used for preparing all menu items. We needed to take urgent medical action, while getting an unwelcome reaction from staff.

My friend had a problem with her food as it was upsetting her stomach. She didn't know the mayo had dill in it. She took two bites out of it. We spoke to Justin about our concerns and he said "because you have taken two bites out of the food we would have to charge you twice to remake the burger" I said we have come from the UK and the UK would never treat you like this. I am very disappointed in Justin's attitude towards this I felt as a manager he could been more understanding and show some empathy. I had no issues with my food but once I spoke to Justin I was put off my food.

I'd absolutely recommend visiting! My family went here on the 31st of March and we were so happy to find a cozy breakfast spot with lots of seating 😊 We were served by Norbert who was friendly, helpful, and exceptionally accomodating of my allergies. The menu offered something for everyone in my family. I enjoyed a warm and flavourful shakshuka, and 3 of us ordered "the John". Mom's French toast looked amazing and vibrant! Everyone was happy with their food and fresh drinks 🥞🍳🧃 The bathrooms were also nice, which is always a relief for a tourist!

On Friday, I was at your restaurant on Bellamystraat and witnessed a terrible customer service situation. A male server handled a complaint about an allergy in the worst possible way, escalating the discussion with a customer. I felt embarrassed for the lady in question, and if it had happened to me, I wouldn't have come back. Today, if I continue to return, it's thanks to the quality of the food and the kindness of the blonde server, who makes me feel at home with Michelin-star customer service.

Six of us had lunch here, ordering different dishes: club sandwiches, avocado toast, and other items. The quality was very poor, but they looked beautiful. It's a shame the flavor was terrible! I don't recommend it. There are plenty of brunches here in Amsterdam that are 10,000 times better!

Let me tell you about the pancakes. As a Dutch man I can’t get enough of their blueberry pancakes! The chicken waffles are as the kids call them, bussin’.

Compared to the last years the food quality isn’t what it used to be anymore. In the past it felt like the dishes were really made with love and now it feels more like someone slapped it on a plate without a lot of consideration which is not great given the prices. Feels like it‘s more about making money instead of providing a great brunch experience these days.

We got the chicken waffle and mexico city to share (for 2). I personally liked the chicken waffle more as it was super flavoursome and delicious!! Mexico city had a bit more spice (jalapenos) and was tasty nonetheless. The homemade ice tea (still) was SO GOOD!! It was barberry flavoured. Overall the service was quick and friendly and will definitely come back to try more!

Soooo breakfast all day, aaaand smiles and helpful advice all day We had Eggs benedict - superb Coffee - flat white, capucino and espreso all great Orange juice fresshhhh njam Shakshuka (sausage extra recomended if i m nitty picky it could go with more bread but personal preference i guess) Chicken on waffle o m g , sweet waffle amsterdam, saurkraut cucumber and chicken and mayo and it just makes so much sense, savory delicious Avocado toast is wverything you want will perfect fried egg ans some hot sauce Sweeets: french toast fresh fruits ricota And blueberry pankakes are fluffy with some tasty maskrapone and not too sweet All in all Eill vome again We had much fun!!!

We're familiar with breakfast clubs from Germany, and this one is nothing like them. The ambiance is very basic; the chairs tip over at the slightest touch. We were asked to move to a different table because there were only two of us at a table for four. While understandable, it was odd that we were asked about it, since there was another couple sitting at the four-person table next to us. The server couldn't give me a reason, except to say, "Because she said so." So we left. In short: highly recommended in Germany, but unfortunately not here in Amsterdam. We haven't experienced anything like it in any other restaurant here. Oh, and we weren't really served either.

Fantastic food and excellent service. I had the Banana Brûlée — French toast made from banana bread, topped with a brûléed banana and bacon — and it was absolutely delicious. When I casually asked if it might be possible to get a couple more slices of bacon, they showed up a few minutes later, no charge, no fuss. We come here often, and this time was no exception. I ordered the club sandwich again, as it was always excellent. But this time it was a disgrace! You could bash someone's head in with the toast, it was so hard. There was also far too much tomato, a few pieces of lettuce, and two stray pieces of marinated, dry chicken breast that weren't evenly distributed across the club sandwich. I didn't want bacon, which thankfully went well. But I left half of it anyway because the food was unbearable. A tablemate didn't want tomato and clearly stated this and received a few pieces anyway, but he also left half of it. Apparently, the recipe had changed a week earlier, but definitely for the worse. This whole story was clearly explained at checkout, but we weren't offered any compensation (or any kind of compensation). This makes it an expensive joke for a completely unappetizing brunch. My request to The Breakfast Club is to reinstate the old club sandwich recipe. Unfortunately, I can't post a photo for proof.

We went there to eat and we found hair in our food, their own ice tea has no taste not recommended to eat there

There was a strand of hair in my food which i complaint about and they told me it was cotton, they made a new one for me but i did not like that the options were limited not allowed to swapped some ingrediënts even due allergie so i had to pick another option. I also orderd an home made ice tea sparkling, i get a sparkling water with syrup and icecubes… only nice things there was how it looked.

We came here twice while we were in Amsterdam and DAM. We got the avocado toast first and it was delicious and the brioche French toast which was to die for

First, it took twenty minutes before anyone even came to take our drink orders. Then I received a rendang that was still raw. When I mentioned this to the staff, they arrogantly replied that it was "just a piece of fat." Luckily, I wasn't naive and didn't eat it. When I went to pay, I mentioned it again, but they curtly responded with, "Okay, you get a discount." A simple apology would have sufficed; a free tea wouldn't make up for it. All in all, I absolutely do not recommend this place.

We found the 45-minute wait for three cappuccinos and one smoothie, which was already pre-made in a pitcher, rather long. We won't be back!

A very good place for breakfast. The waffles were good, but not spectacular. They had a good flavor. The presentation of the dishes was very good, and the portions were generous. The prices were blueberry pancakes 14 euros, avocado toast 13.50 euros, and espresso 3.20 euros. The place was nice, and the service was very good.

One morning we went there based on the reviews. We ordered and unfortunately it was nothing like that, it was average in presentation, too coarse, a bread, chopped avocado on top, one side of just sliced ​​tomatoes, a fried egg on top.

This is one of those places that you run into by accident and can make a whole trip worth it! The setting, the service and most importantly the food is phenomenal! The presentation, everything felt fresh, light yet filling! One of the best breakfast experiences in a long time!

I ordered the Avocado Toast for takeaway and I was disappointed. It’s supposed to come with “avocado smash, tomato, fried egg, toast, leek sprouts, bacon, and chili oil. I did not find any leek sprouts or chili oil in my dish and the egg was very overcooked and dry. As you can see in the picture there isn’t a lot of avocado, it was maybe on half of the toast. Honestly disappointing :(

Probably worst eggs I’ve ever had. Croissant was soft and the butter with it was frozen solid, impossible to spread. Garbage trucks all around the outside seating so could barely hear anything. Staff was nice

We’ve tried. We’ve tried really various times now but it’s always the same. The service is really unfriendly but today was the worst. Not a lot of customers, two people in service overwhelmed with 20 customers each, 30 minutes to take the order, food was okay and fast, attitude from the beginning unfriendly, and lastly after for more than 30 minutes not serving the additional ordered drinks, charging them on the check and being unfriendly was just once again the confirmation to avoid this place which is designed to nap tourists. Great potential, heartless execution.

So we ordered 2 Benedict Californias but asked to change bacon for salmon in one and they charged us not 1€ but 5€ extra for it. In total we paid for 2 regular Californias plus 5€ extra for the salmon. I guess my question is: if you took out bacon and put in salmon why I still need to pay for bacon?

Food was pricey but enjoyable. The location with seats outside is nice as well. Staff was mediocre, from someone who worked in bars and restaurants. It's as if they were having blinders on. Cleaning a table, heading inside without looking around if someone wants to order. We spent there over an hour, this was happening frequently.
