Lunchroom Lastig in Middenmeer

Rendang was okay. The pistolet itself wasn't. Just plain Dutch and small pistolet. But! The prices. Absolutely ridiculous. €9 for a pistolet rendang 😂 That makes absolutely no sense.

Unfortunately, we didn't find the service very good. They initially forgot one order. Then we ordered something to eat, and he didn't show up for another 10 minutes and told us they didn't have any. We then asked for no bread, but they didn't. It was certainly child-friendly, but lacked atmosphere... maybe that wasn't their style.

I waited half an hour for a coffee that was ready in 10 seconds. €3.50 for a single sip. They also didn't have milk or sugar. The staff clearly didn't want to be there and were a bit too loud about it for me to enjoy. There was a young man behind the counter being rather disrespectful to an older woman, also a staff member.

It's fine. Just a few halal options. The staff could be a bit friendlier. Prices are still reasonable these days.

Great food and attentive staff. I am a huge fan of Indian food and I was pleasantly surprised to discover this little eatery. The food is exceptionally delicious and can compete with the best Indian restaurants I know, maybe even better. The service was very friendly and also gave me good tips about the area. In addition to Indian food, they also have other tasty sandwiches and salads. The only downside I would like to say is that they are not open in the evening because then I would also come there for dinner. Fortunately, you can take away.

What a drama, I didn't know this was still possible in 2025. A complete disappointment from start to finish. The staff acted as if they would rather not see you, let alone help you. Everything had to be done reluctantly. And as if that wasn't enough: while serving, my plate literally fell on my head. No joke. No apology, no check to see if everything went well, just an irritated face as if it was my fault for being there. The food itself? As if it had been waiting for hours. No taste, no care, no quality. When we kindly indicated that this was really not possible, we received a raised eyebrow and silence in return. No solution, no respect. Like you're in a bad skit. The only thing warm in here was my anger as I walked out. They will never see me again here.

Upon arrival, the reception felt anything but hospitable. The staff looked at us as if we were unwanted, which immediately created an uncomfortable atmosphere. The food was also very disappointing and certainly not what you would expect from a restaurant. The shakes were downright disgusting! I dare say that you can make something much better at home with a blender and some ingredients. In short, a big disappointment and certainly not a place I will return to. When you enter it smells like something that should not be in a restaurant, hygiene is not in order at all.

Nice atmosphere, and super tasty food soto or a plate of rendang are my favorite.

Super nice lunchroom, delicious food

The food was delicious, but the welcome was anything but warm. It was 3:30, and upon entering, both women shouted in unison that they were closing at 4:00 PM. A "good afternoon" wasn't enough. My son and I just wanted a sandwich and a drink. I didn't need more than half an hour. The sandwiches were well-filled and tasty, but unfortunately, I also found the woman behind the counter a bit surly. Finally, I think €8.75 for a tempeh roll is way too much! In total, I paid over €23 for two sandwiches and two glasses of lemonade.

If you re looking for breakfast or lunch this is the place. The food is good and its not to expensive.

Had a nice sandwich. Located in a good and accessible location. The only thing we didn't realize is that you can't eat from the takeaway menu in the lunchroom. Nevertheless, I was still able to choose something delicious to eat.

After years of passing by, I took a chance on having something to eat here and that is also the last time. This place has no fixed opening hours and you have to be lucky if they are open. You shouldn't expect service because the employee who was always there was grumpy for nothing. A sandwich was 8 euros and when I went to eat it outside, half of it fell on the floor because the bread was completely wet. In the end, the pigeons mainly ate it. Normally you are within your right to complain, but with these types of people you have to take your losses because having a discussion is a waste of energy. I thought it was strange that a sandwich cost 8 euros and when I looked at the website it turned out to be 5.50. I never write a review, but in this case you should warn others about this fake Toko. The only special thing about this Toko is that it still exists. NEVER AGAIN!

Unfortunately we arrived and it is closed until March 6. I came all the way from Rotterdam, spent a day in Amsterdam and opted for this lunchroom. We looked at the website and Google but it was open. Pity!

Snelle bediening. Beetje nors wel. Speelhoek. Kinderen moeten alleen wel vrij stil zijn wat kinderen dus niet goed kunnen. Beetje paradoxaal dus. Cappuccino’s mooi ondanks de drukte. Producten redelijk. Plussen en minnen dus.

De kinderen zijn lekker gaan spelen, en wij aan de koffie!

Very cozy and kids friendly place. Great indonesian food even though sometimes slow. Service is pleasant and friendly.

Heerlijk gegeten. Fijne bediening en erg lekker eten. Fijne plek voor een hapje en een drankje of uitgebreider eten.

De broodjes tempeh zijn de allerbeste. En verder sowieso een fijne plek met heel aardige bediening.

I love this place. Friendly staff, great food and relaxing place with family or to do emails or read a paper! Indonesian food is definitely a must try! Their soup is yummy!!! Kids love paninis and tostis!

Siempre es rico tomarse un café en la terraza de Lastig. El café es bueno. Tienen descafeinado también. Su torta de zanahoria con pecanas es buena. La atención es buena. 8 estrellas.

Wat een fijne plek! Het eten is echt zo lekker dat het inmiddels een weekendritueel is geworden om langs Lastig te gaan voor lunch. De eigenaren staan zelf in de lunchroom, en doen dit duidelijk met passie. Ga allemaal lekker Indonesisch eten halen en help deze plek de crisis door! <3

Fijne luchtent. allerlei lekkere gerechten die je kan bestellen. lekkere koffie. gezellig plekje.

Heerlijke toko voir meeneem gerechten.

Zeker een aanrader als het gaat om heerlijk Indonesisch eten. Smaakt voortreffelijk en het is niet duur. De bijgerechten zijn ook lekker. Porties zijn wel aan de grote kant..2 gerechten kunnen voldoende zijn voor 3 mensen.

Heerlijk geluncht, de Soto Ayam was echt goed! Hier kom ik zeker nog een keer terug, en kan deze plaats aanraden.

Top zaak. Heerlijk plekje om te zitten, ook met kleine kids. Koffie is top! Bediening uitstekend. Vooral fan van de saoto soep 😛.

Wat een leuke tent! Niet alledaags en zeker voor in de Watergraafsmeer een bijzondere plek. Indonesisch eten afgewisseld met ‘gewone’ broodjes en goede koffie. (Bocca!) Als ik een paar negatieve reviews hier lees dan vraag ik me oprecht af òf deze mensen hier überhaupt zijn geweest? Zeker niet te duur (Hallo mensen! We zijn hier in Amsterdam en niet in Coevorden oid) en het personeel is altijd zeer vriendelijk en attent. Aanrader ook met kids trouwens.

Top zaak! Fijne sfeer. Of je nu alleen bent, oud of met jonge kinderen. Voor een kopje heerlijke koffie met taart of de soto atam soep ( aanrader) en heerlijk pistoletje rendang. Ook heerlijke Indonesische gerechten om mee naar huis te nemen!

Hele fijne lunchroom. Fijne huiselijke sfeer. Voor gezinnen met kleine kinderen en voor ouderen. Heel klantvriendelijk, zowel voor ouderen als voor kinderen. De koffie is heerlijk en een aanrader zijn de soto ayam soep en het pistoletje rendang. Ook de Indonesische gerechten om mee naar huis te nemen, waren erg lekker. Goede prijs kwaliteit verhouding! Kortom: een aanrader!

Leuke lunchroom, kindvriendelijk, huiselijke sfeer met een indonesisch menu kaart. Waar je ook belegde broodjes kan bestellen. Maar ik zou lekker een soto soepje bestellen want die is heerlijk!

Wij wonen om de hoek van deze lunchroom en hebben hier een heerlijke uitsmijter genuttigd. 1 met kaas en 1 met ham. Ze waren goed belegd ook nog 2 heerlijke capuchino's er bij genomen

Een top lunchroom met een relaxe sfeer en een top bediening met een leuke ontvangst een aanrader. Zou er persoonlijk niks aanveranderen.

Wat ben je een geluksvogel als je zo’n tentje, tent eigenlijk, want lekker ruim, in de buurt hebt! Heel goede sfeer, heerlijk rustig, zalige koffie, goede spekkoek, lekkere citroentaart, fijne bediening die er echt zin in heeft. Gister hier aangeland tijdens een wandeling, maar we komen er echt voor uit de stad om hier de soto-soep en de rest te proberen!

Hun huisgemaakte Soto soep (Indonesische kippensoep is fantastisch lekker en rijk gevuld, perfect lunchgerecht. Ideale plek ook voor lunch met kinderen. Mama aan de Indo soep of broodjes, kinderen tosti’s. Gezellige ongedwongen sfeer. Spelletjes en speelgoed aanwezig: iedereen blij. 👍🏻

Lekker goedgevulde porties soto en heerlijke groene smoothie. Leuk concept lunchroom en toko! Ideaal voor de kids die zich kunnen uitleven met het speelgoed. Gastvrij!

Leuke plek, lekkere koffie en vriendelijke medewerkers. Kinderen kunnen er fijn spelen in de speelhoek of een spelletje mee aan tafel nemen. Volgende keer komen we om de Indonesische gerechten te proeven, die zagen er ook heerlijk uit!

Vwry cozery cozy and polite. I am on Amsterdam in tourism and in one of my incoursitions to the residential area I found this place to have lunch. I recommend it
