What a wonderful experience this was. The food was truly fantastic, and the concept of grilling at the table yourself makes the dinner extra cozy. The grilled meat and fresh vegetables, in particular, tasted excellent. It is also incredibly nice that everything is served in beautiful little bowls, like the rice with those subtle red flakes on top. We really enjoyed the atmosphere and the lovely evening. Highly recommended for anyone who loves good grilling.

Had to pay a deposit in advance. Reserved for 8 people for my father's birthday. Received another confirmation email in the morning. We ended up standing at the door for nothing and they are unreachable as well. Drove 2 cars from Amsterdam for nothing. I want my deposit back; this really feels like a scam.

Yesterday, we went to eat at Topkapi with a group of 10 people. Unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing. I had called specifically beforehand to ask if there was air conditioning. Because you have to grill the meat yourself here, it gets warm inside very quickly. I was told that there was air conditioning. However, upon arrival, it turned out to be turned off. On an already hot day, it was incredibly stuffy inside, which was a real shame, especially since we had specifically asked about this beforehand. Then the next disappointment began: the service and the serving of the food. The concept is that you grill your own meat, but we were a group of 10 and initially received meat for about 5 people. We constantly had to ask where the rest of our order was. As a result, half the table was already eating, while the other half was still sitting and waiting. That completely takes away the enjoyment of eating together. Additionally, dirty plates remained on the table for a long time. The female waitress seemed unable to handle it all, even though we were the only table at that moment. Only when a young man from the kitchen joined us did things seem to become a bit more structured. He visibly tried his best and even urged his colleague to help out. The grill was also very dry, causing the meat to keep sticking. We had to ask for extra oil ourselves to be able to grill properly. Furthermore, an employee was walking around in a football shirt, wearing a cap and with his hair down. For a restaurant where you have to pay a deposit in advance and where you pay a considerable amount, you would expect a more professional appearance and better service. To make matters worse, there was also a bug in the glass of someone at our table. Additionally, the drinks were not cold, and we even had to ask for ice cubes. The only positive aspect of our experience was that the meat was well-seasoned and the food itself tasted good. Unfortunately, that does not make up for the poor service. We are very sorry that things turned out this way. For the amount we paid, we had expected much more. Due to the poor service, we will unfortunately not be returning here.

Yesterday, we went here for dinner with a group of 5, and it was really great. The staff was super friendly. Additionally, the meat was very tasty. Overall, highly recommended. Upon arrival, we were greeted politely and told how it works. You can start with a starter (lentil soup), and then the meat platter is brought out with a mix of different types of meat. Once this is finished, you can order more via the tablet on your table, which is really nice. Desserts are also included at the end.

Last Sunday, following a previous good experience, I dined at Topkapi for the second time. Once again, the food was very good. The hostess was friendly and had a nice, warm demeanor. The chef also did an excellent job. Highly recommended!

Disappointing experience. We came all the way from Dordrecht specifically for this and had high expectations, but unfortunately, they were not met. The portions were small, the soup was served cold and likely reheated in the microwave after we complained, and we found the taste of all the meat mediocre. It all seemed like wholesale meat without any preparation. Which was understandable, as the cooks were laughing very annoyingly and busy doomscrolling in a circle or watching TV. Additionally, there was little choice, no bread was offered, and the drinks were not properly chilled. Apparently, they had run out of bread. It was also very cold in the dining room, which did not contribute to comfort. Furthermore, we had to make a reservation and pay a deposit, yet there was literally no one in the room. In hindsight, we understood why and should have turned around as a group. For a bill of approximately €200, we felt the price-quality ratio was not balanced. A shame, because we had been really looking forward to this evening. You get much more choice for less at your local all-you-can-eat wok. The staff were non-existent or barely present and were constantly on their phones. The system didn't work at all either, so you could order whatever you wanted, but no one came. The grill was even worse than the grill at a Korean BBQ. It was completely burnt after just one round. Avoid this place and look for a snack bar or the Greek place next door for this price. If we could give less than 1 star, we would have. I have never felt so ripped off.

We had dinner with the family today and really enjoyed ourselves. The food was delicious and everything was freshly prepared. The atmosphere in the restaurant was cozy and we felt very welcome. The staff was also friendly and helpful. Definitely a place we will come back to!

Went on Sunday with my family (6 children). The service was good and the girls were also great and relaxed. My little children couldn't all sit still, but the girls handled that well and it was super fun for them. See you next time.

Yesterday, eight of us went for dinner, and it was truly amazing. We had a wonderful meal, the service was superb, and the owner (at least, I think she was the owner) was incredibly friendly. My family is from the Netherlands, and we went there specifically for iftar. Everyone had a wonderful time. After we got home, everyone even sent me a message telling me how much they enjoyed it. In short: a wonderful evening with excellent service and a warm, welcoming atmosphere!

Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with my experience. The restaurant atmosphere was very cold and uncomfortable. After placing our order, we had to wait up to 30 minutes, and even then the staff kept asking us to wait a bit longer. In some cases, the items we ordered were actually unavailable, but no one informed us, so we kept waiting thinking the food would arrive. Additionally, both the waiter and the cashier seemed constantly busy on their phones and did not pay proper attention to the customers. For dessert, the ice cream was already melted, and overall the food quality did not match the high rating this restaurant has. I expected much better based on the reviews.

It was incredibly cold, and there were even people wearing coats. The girls were incredibly arrogant, except for the one with the clamp on, who was a real sweetheart. Since that man left, it's gotten really bad. There are missing shelves at the cash register, and there are holes in the chairs. It's not clean and very unfriendly. We used to come all the way from Brabant, and this was definitely the last time. The only things that were okay were the veal and the steak.

We normally enjoy eating here, but our last visit was unfortunately very disappointing. We came all the way from Amsterdam just to eat here, so we were very disappointed. The service was slow, even though we were the only guests. It was dark because the lights were off, something we only realized when they were turned on later in the evening. The extractor fan barely worked at first. The chops had just come out of the freezer, making them tough and disappointing in terms of flavor. It took ages for the second round of food and the mocktails to arrive. The soup was rather salty. We were given baguettes instead of the bread on the menu. The long wait had significantly diminished our appetites. Perhaps it was due to the holiday season, but in this state, it's better for the restaurant to close temporarily than to remain open like this.

The menu said the bread would be lavash, but we just got baguettes – which felt misleading. We ordered our first round of food, but it took 45 minutes to arrive, and even then it wasn't complete. I ordered salads, but they never arrived. Finally, the prices are very high for what you get. Considering the service and the quality of the food, I didn't think it was worth it.

I don't know where to begin. I've been to several BBQ restaurants, but this is the worst so far. Besides the fact that the waitresses are barely 16 or 17 years old and are more focused on each other than on the customers, the "chef" in the kitchen isn't very good at his job either. Everything was way too salty, the marinated meat was old, and orders didn't arrive. It's a shame for the price you pay, you expect more. Also, some menu items weren't available. We asked for a glass with ice cubes, which took way too long. It wasn't particularly busy, so I don't understand what's going wrong. I don't blame the waitresses; they're still young and have a lot to learn, but I think the owner should invest more time in his staff so they'll be more motivated. All in all, disappointed. Next time, I'll go to Ortam.

We've always enjoyed dining at Topkapi, but today was unfortunately very disappointing. Upon arrival, we discovered that our reservation hadn't been honored. The staff didn't know we were expected. Once seated, we had to wait over 20 minutes for any coals to be brought. The waitresses seemed very inexperienced and couldn't answer many questions. The dishes we ordered took another 20 to 30 minutes to arrive. When the food finally arrived, even the simplest dishes were disappointing. The rice was watery and tasteless, and unfortunately, this was true for many other dishes. All in all, this experience was far from what we're used to at Topkapi. We won't be returning anytime soon.

Allahouma Bareek is a really great place, hats off to them. Halal-friendly too; we asked if the music could be turned down, and they did so without any problems. We'll be back here often, in shaa Allah.

The restaurant looks nice, the atmosphere is nice, but there are a lot of faults, firstly it is expensive for what it offers, secondly: you will see that their advertisement says that they have a wide selection of fish, this is not true, there is only salmon, in one preparing way, and it is also not included in the entrance price per person, vegetarians are not advised to enter at all, they will not find delicious food.. since the vegetables are not seasoned with anything, their taste is not delicious. The meat and chicken are delicious, but I think the price is more expensive than it is worth.. It also says that they open at 4, but they open at 4:30.

Been here for a company dinner, good atmosphere, meat was fresh and varied, everything was well seasoned and marinated. Top service, everything came quickly and smoothly.

We received the orders super late. The orders did not correspond to reality. We order red meat but get chicken every time. Fries and rice arrived much too late. Wait at least 40 minutes for the next round. There were 12 of us and we had to make do with 2 dishes, while a table of 7 people also got 2 dishes. Drink arrived warm and smelled heavily of sewage. We will never come here again.

Very nasty owner, antisocial, I went there to eat, it was inedible, everything was chaotic, both the owners and the place itself. I would not recommend it, the food was rubbish and it smelled like sewage at the table where I was sitting.

If you want to be ripped off, come here. Offering Iftar and not even a decent space for prayer. Praying almost in the toilet/kitchen. If you order something, there are 2 options, or you don't get what you order or very late. Also, there was very little coal in it, so the food was not good. Would not go here.
