We normally enjoy eating here, but our last visit was unfortunately very disappointing. We came all the way from Amsterdam just to eat here, so we were very disappointed. The service was slow, even though we were the only guests. It was dark because the lights were off, something we only realized when they were turned on later in the evening. The extractor fan barely worked at first. The chops had just come out of the freezer, making them tough and disappointing in terms of flavor. It took ages for the second round of food and the mocktails to arrive. The soup was rather salty. We were given baguettes instead of the bread on the menu. The long wait had significantly diminished our appetites. Perhaps it was due to the holiday season, but in this state, it's better for the restaurant to close temporarily than to remain open like this.

The menu said the bread would be lavash, but we just got baguettes – which felt misleading. We ordered our first round of food, but it took 45 minutes to arrive, and even then it wasn't complete. I ordered salads, but they never arrived. Finally, the prices are very high for what you get. Considering the service and the quality of the food, I didn't think it was worth it.

I don't know where to begin. I've been to several BBQ restaurants, but this is the worst so far. Besides the fact that the waitresses are barely 16 or 17 years old and are more focused on each other than on the customers, the "chef" in the kitchen isn't very good at his job either. Everything was way too salty, the marinated meat was old, and orders didn't arrive. It's a shame for the price you pay, you expect more. Also, some menu items weren't available. We asked for a glass with ice cubes, which took way too long. It wasn't particularly busy, so I don't understand what's going wrong. I don't blame the waitresses; they're still young and have a lot to learn, but I think the owner should invest more time in his staff so they'll be more motivated. All in all, disappointed. Next time, I'll go to Ortam.

We've always enjoyed dining at Topkapi, but today was unfortunately very disappointing. Upon arrival, we discovered that our reservation hadn't been honored. The staff didn't know we were expected. Once seated, we had to wait over 20 minutes for any coals to be brought. The waitresses seemed very inexperienced and couldn't answer many questions. The dishes we ordered took another 20 to 30 minutes to arrive. When the food finally arrived, even the simplest dishes were disappointing. The rice was watery and tasteless, and unfortunately, this was true for many other dishes. All in all, this experience was far from what we're used to at Topkapi. We won't be returning anytime soon.

Allahouma Bareek is a really great place, hats off to them. Halal-friendly too; we asked if the music could be turned down, and they did so without any problems. We'll be back here often, in shaa Allah.

We received the orders super late. The orders did not correspond to reality. We order red meat but get chicken every time. Fries and rice arrived much too late. Wait at least 40 minutes for the next round. There were 12 of us and we had to make do with 2 dishes, while a table of 7 people also got 2 dishes. Drink arrived warm and smelled heavily of sewage. We will never come here again.

Had a terrible problem with sewer smell inside, poor service

Dirty smell inside smells like sewer, price is definitely overpriced with drinks it goes up to €60 P.P. First rounds just came steak then just veal was brought despite having indicated it.

Food was fine but it smelled terribly like sewer. It was impossible to eat with such a smell in the same room. Something really needs to be done about that 🤢

We decided to do iftar here for the first time, but unfortunately it is also the last time. Upon entering we were barely greeted; it only said, “Your place is there.” It didn't feel like a warm welcome, which didn't give a good first impression. Food (7.5/10) The food itself tasted great, but the portions were on the small side in relation to the price. For what you pay, we expected more. Service (2/10) The service was downright disappointing. • Orders placed several times via the tablet, but these did not go through. • Each order took 15-20 minutes, and when it finally came, it was incomplete. • At one point we couldn't order at all because the time had expired, even though we hadn't eaten enough yet. • Even though it is an 'all you can eat' concept, we were only 60% full and still had to pay full price. When we reported our complaints at the checkout, we only received excuses. The employee seemed to expect that we should just accept it and behave like 'good customers'. No understanding whatsoever. Atmosphere (6/10) It was drafty all the time, which wasn't exactly comfortable, but that was out of their control. To conclude, we were asked at the checkout if we wanted cologne, but the bottle was almost empty. A small detail, but it sums up the whole experience: sloppy and little attention to the customer. A simple solution would have been to refill the bottle, but even that was not possible. Final conclusion: For €65 per person we expected a much better experience.

Although the food was tasty, the service was disappointing. There were two waitresses: one was friendly and professional, while the other, a girl wearing a headscarf, often sat behind the counter and seemed unreliable. After dinner (around 7:00 PM) I went to wash my hands, while my mother went to pay the less friendly waitress. When I got back I asked if she had paid, and she had already. I was surprised, because I wanted to order Moroccan tea, something my mother also likes to drink. Because our reservation was until 8:00 PM and we still had time left, I decided to order tea after all. To my surprise a child was sent to our table to say there was no tea. I found this unprofessional and misleading. How can a restaurant of this level not have tea? When we wanted to leave, the friendly waitress came up to us and asked: “You ordered tea, don't you want it anymore?” To our surprise, the tea turned out to be ready and on the menu for €2.50. We decided to stay and saw that the less reliable waitress tried to shift the blame to her colleague, who was simply doing her job well. When paying, the less than honest waitress suddenly became nervous and claimed that the tea was free, while on my previous visit I simply had to pay. This came across as an attempt to cover up her lie. There was a very nice atmosphere and all the workers were very sweet and fast. It was an all you can eat concept and the meat roasted nice and quickly and was of very good quality. What a gang: Upon arrival: 6:45 PM she started complaining that we were fifteen minutes late. We had made a reservation at 6:45 PM. Every round there was something, no sauce, wrong sauce, no meat, different meat. We ordered steak 14 times because there were 7 of us. Literally got 5 pieces. They do everything they can to stretch those 2 hours. Dessert? If you ask for some baklava they just don't bring it. Super rude staff. It took ages between rounds so the 2 hours were already over and we were still hungry. Folks, the negative reviews are really true! Avoid this place! Not to mention that you are put at a table of 4 with 7 people!!!!!!

Fun to do. Nice to try with a small group. This review is based on an experience with a larger group of people. Food was nice, but soms meat pieces were very saulty. Also some items were not available from the menu, which we had to figure out once we were eating and trying to order the other items. You can choose between a piece of Salmon or Lambchop to start with. If you want another one, then you have to pay for it, which does not feel like all you can eat. Beef, chicken, turkey and gamba's can be ordered in an all you can eat concept. The lights shine directly in your face. The lights can dimm, but then you can't see how well your meat has been prepared. This is something that needs to be sorted. People providing the service were very nice! But maybe at an additional staf member or do not accept bigger groups. It took time to get basic things, like sauces, fries and soms drinks came later then others. Cleaning of the table was done before we could start our dessert, which is nice, however while cleaning the lady got distracted and left the cleaning half done with the dirty cloth still on the table. Another lady was bussy with the scent in the restaurant, but that was an overwhelming smell for everyone around our table. Overal, the intentions are good, but best to visit with a small group (two or four people). With a bigger group comes more demands. Also good to inform people upfront that the full menu is not available. Hopefully next time and with this feedback we will have a better experience. Will try it with a smaller group as I do think the concept is good, the restaurant is clean and the people are nice.
