Simply delicious food. Fortunately, not real tapas. They are delicious little bites, but thankfully general and not Spanish. Highly recommended.

We've always had a delicious meal! The staff really do their best, even when it's busy... sometimes you have to wait a bit longer for the food, but given how busy it is, that is completely understandable.

We ate here a few weeks ago with 6 people. We waited 1.5 hours for our first round of tapas... We thought it couldn't get any worse, but unfortunately it didn't. After the first round, it only got worse. We never got several dishes served, half of the wait staff couldn't take orders, and when they said they were going to send a colleague, it never happened; we never received the food we ordered, or it was colder. Also, most of the staff weren't super enthusiastic or friendly, and if you spoke to someone, you were often ignored. When another table arrived around 9:00 PM, we heard two colleagues saying to each other that they didn't understand why another table was being accepted. Very logical! Because it was busy and all the staff were running their legs off. This was really not a fun evening for either the staff or us. And then you pay a disproportionately large amount for your tapas, because in the 4 hours we were there, we had 4 rounds where half of the ordered food showed up. Very disappointing! But I must say that the food was very tasty.

We went for the second time; the first time they made excuses about a shortage of staff. But this time it was quiet, and the kitchen still let us down. There were six of us, and we ordered two dishes per person at a time. Sometimes there was a 10-minute gap between the different courses, so one person would have already finished their dishes while another hadn't had anything to eat yet. We received apologies a few times, but things kept going wrong. This is such a shame because the food tastes perfect and there is plenty of choice.

The staff certainly makes it a party. The dishes are of good quality, and you are served quickly even during busy times. At restaurants with a "concept," it is usually a matter of waiting to see if you get good food, and they seem to have mastered that quite well here.

This was our third visit to Tres in Meteren. The previous two times were great, but yesterday's visit was a complete disaster. We had to wait a long time for our food and many of our orders from the rounds simply didn't arrive. After complaining, we were able to place an express order. Unfortunately, we had to wait a long time for that too and didn't get everything. The space was stuffy and we had to chase away flies. One of us cut themselves on a fork that had gotten stuck in the backrest of a chair. We felt that the staff had absolutely no control over the situation. Although we received a free round of drinks, that couldn't erase the bad impression.

It all took a very, very long time. A lunch for 4 people on Sunday at 1:15 PM. It took well over 1.5 hours before I received a sandwich. The other dishes arrived 15 minutes earlier. Another table that arrived later was served lunch "already" within an hour. Eventually, apologies were offered, but this was not known beforehand. It wasn't full, which we found very strange.

Very promising based on reviews from others. But I guess our standards are higher or something? The food was poor in taste, sometimes even cold, even though the place was packed. Some items didn't arrive at all or took an extremely long time. We don't mind having to wait in a full restaurant, but it's just unacceptable when tables around you order the same dishes at the same time and are already two rounds ahead while you're still waiting. Later in the evening, part of the staff disappeared to a party on the other side of the building, resulting in even longer waits. It's a real shame, because I think you have a gold mine if you put in a little more effort!

I've been there 3 times in 1.5 years. Once for lunch and twice for dinner (4 people). And to be honest, there is always something. The first time, the beer smelled a bit metallic; we mentioned it, and after 15 minutes I received a 'new' one that smelled exactly the same. The other times, we had to wait a very long time for service and drinks. We only got service after 15 minutes (while they were busy setting the table). We had made a reservation and asked if we could take the parasol from the empty table since we were sitting directly in the sun. We were told that that table would then have no shade (where no one was sitting). We then ordered drinks, and after half an hour, we had ours. Then, after a long wait, the food order was taken, and after 45 minutes, they brought the meat, but we didn't have any cutlery yet. After another 20 minutes, the fries, salads, etc. arrived. The schnitzel was extremely hard and dry. A waitress helped us in a very helpful manner, but despite that, it was a disappointment. Incidentally, we also asked for the manager to give some tips, but he was busy. It is really a shame that it has to be this way. Normally I am not one to write reviews (good or bad), but after 3 bad experiences, something really needs to be done about it. By the way, it is a pity to see that positive reviews are often responded to, while less positive ones are not.

Last Saturday evening, we had dinner with four people in Meteren. The dishes were fine. However, the service was well below par. We had to wait more than fifteen minutes for drinks on several occasions. The beer was lukewarm. Finally, we ordered cocktails. That took half an hour and we still hadn't received anything. After we spoke to the staff about it, they started making the cocktails. We got the impression that they weren't very skilled at it, because the cocktails tasted like nothing. The staff was friendly, though.

The cheese on the toastie had already solidified and was so tough that I could barely finish it. I asked for another one halfway through and received one, though only half. It would have been to their credit if they hadn't charged for the toastie. The asparagus soup was flavorful and hearty, but very lukewarm. Perhaps the egg and ham were added cold, causing the soup to cool down immediately? Unfortunately, the decaffeinated cappuccino there is not worth repeating either; it didn't even taste like coffee anymore. All in all, a disappointing experience during our first lunch at this restaurant.

Had a tasty meal, although some dishes were very simple. If you order fries or a hot dog, you get a large portion compared to the rest of the tapas. Friendly service; sometimes something that hadn't been ordered was brought to the table as an extra, so it wasn't a big deal. It was quite busy, so the confusion is understandable.

After that, we had to ask for them ourselves. After this, it took another 30 minutes before the drinks were brought to the table. The dishes arrived in a messy and uneven manner. Within the same rounds, there was sometimes a 20-minute difference in the serving of dishes. We waited an hour for dessert. Our spoons were taken away, and after we asked for new ones, this request was ignored, meaning we had to eat our desserts with our hands. These desserts were melted, by the way. In short, a mediocre experience and not worth the money.

A nice concept and a beautiful location. Unfortunately, upon taking a seat at the table, the table wobbles quite a bit and the candle isn't working either. I mentioned this politely to the waitress. She said she would look into it. Reported it again 20 minutes later. Once again, they promised to do something about it. 10 minutes later, the drinks arrived; they were placed directly on the table by the same waitress. I asked about it for the 3rd time. I am sitting at the table with small children who are leaning on it. It was only resolved then. The food is substandard. Most of it was cold and not very flavorful. Taking the order also took a long time. I go to Tres almost monthly at various locations and have been here a few times already. The food and service vary each time. When settling the bill, apologies were made. The girl was standing alone. The drinks were removed from the bill. From now on, I will choose the location in Tiel instead. They have excellent service and the quality of the food is consistent.

Very disappointing experience at Tres Tapas in Meteren. During our visit, empty plates and glasses were not cleared for a long time, leaving the table messy and unpleasant. Additionally, we had to wait a very long time before the food was served. To make matters worse, not everything arrived at the table at the same time, meaning some people were already eating while others were still waiting. Furthermore, the staff seemed uninterested and unwelcoming. Unfortunately, this evening did not meet our expectations at all.

Waitresses are very nice and helpful. The food is constantly delayed or does not arrive, meaning you have to order it again. If you report this, you are told that there is indeed a delay. It seems as if there are too many guests present and staff are running in all directions and do not seem able to keep up.

SUPER BAD! We recently ate at Tres Tapasbar. I had already been there two weeks earlier with two colleagues and enjoyed it then. That was until we went again 1.5 weeks later (together with our family and my brother and sister-in-law with their kids). Every single round, we had to wait a super long time to get our dishes. And I don't mind waiting a bit longer, but when it's cold or undercooked every time, you're pretty much done with it! We even got raw fries (if they can't even fry fries properly!!). The waiter saw this too and indicated that we would get new fries. Additionally, we received the wrong dishes every time or they didn't even come at all (even after asking multiple times, things kept going wrong). We were so fed up with it that we eventually didn't even order all the desserts we still wanted to try! The waiter did apologize (because he also saw that everything was going wrong). We did get the drinks reimbursed one last time as compensation, but for us, this was the last time!

In the meantime, we had already ordered the second course, which was served as well, while other people were still waiting for their first. Really delicious food and friendly service

A truly fantastic restaurant. It was our first time there because it's quite a drive, and after reading reviews that orders are taken slowly, we were a bit hesitant...but we went, and the service was incredibly fast. They came back quickly to ask for the next round, and the food was also brought out super fast. You can easily order drinks at the table via a QR code. We were absolutely thrilled!

I've been several times, but it's not what it used to be. The food isn't bad, but I find the selection mediocre. There's a long wait between orders. There were four of us, and we spent an average of €56 per person, which included three drinks and the meal. Normally, I'd consider this a good price, but I didn't think it was worth the food.

We eat here regularly. The atmosphere is always great and the food is always delicious. That's why I'm giving it a good review. But I do want to give some feedback about the service. Last time we had lunch here, we had to wait over an hour for two sandwiches. And last night (Wednesday night) for tapas, it was the same. We had to wait about 30 minutes between each course, which wouldn't be a problem with a regular meal. But with this concept, the tapas are gone within a minute. What did bother me was that we were asked several times every half hour if we wanted another drink, even though we still had a bottle of water on the table and half a mocktail. All in all, a good review, but because of these experiences, we'll be choosing other restaurants for the time being.

We regularly visit this restaurant, and it's always good! Sometimes it gets a bit busier, and you have to wait a bit longer for them to come to your table, but you're not under time pressure like you are at many restaurants, so it's not a problem. We had delicious tapas. Varied and delicious. One minor point was that the dirty plates were very late being cleared. Eventually, we had dirty plates from three rounds of dishes, and I had to call staff to clear them. It then made the table very messy.

Last night (December 29, 2025) I went out for dinner at Tres in Meteren with my old school friend. We were already familiar with Tres' tapas concept, as I regularly eat at the restaurant in Veenendaal. Upon entering, you'll find a surprisingly spacious and cozy restaurant with several rooms. In addition to the main restaurant area, there's a separate meeting room and party room, and a super cozy bar area for smaller, intimate parties. The food was exceptionally delicious again tonight; the menu is extensive, and the quality is generally above average. In a conversation with the staff, we drew a comparison with 'La Cubanita,' which has significantly lower quality yet is in the same price range. At Tres, the food is simply excellent; every dish is meticulously prepared with an eye for quality. For me, the standouts are the chorizo ​​croquettes (very tasty and slightly spicy), the chicken thigh satay (tender meat and a delicious, not-typically-sweet Dutch satay sauce (and a generous portion), the curry masala (a vegetarian dish with a rich, flavorful curry sauce and vegetables), but oddly enough, the surprise of the evening was "Grandma's meatball." It tastes as if Grandma herself had just rolled it in the kitchen and cooked it in gravy—highly recommended! The desserts are also all very tasty and in decent portions. A small tip: don't start too early with the desserts, or you'll only end up ordering the delicious sweets 😉 The service was very friendly (except for one slightly older, grumpy lady who responded rather curtly to a question and, when putting down the open bottle of still water, literally grabbed the bottle by the neck, which I find very unhygienic) and helpful. We were regularly asked if everything was still to our liking. It was as if people stopped by for a friendly chat. That created a relaxed atmosphere and perfectly complemented the overall concept. All in all, it was another very positive experience dining at Tres, and definitely worth repeating!

The restaurant looks nice and has a cozy atmosphere. You can order through the staff instead of using an app. Because of this, I often had to wait a long time before I could order again. Also, not everything was warm. Drinks are very expensive. The service itself was very friendly!

Given the many negative reviews, I decided to share my positive experience in a review. It's a large restaurant, but it didn't look that way in the section where we sat by the fireplace. The atmosphere was good. All the staff who came to our table were really friendly. They frequently came by to ask if everything was to our liking. The price/quality ratio is excellent. I had a delicious meal. It was especially nice to eat and sample many different small dishes together. It's not a culinary highlight, but you can't expect that for this price.

I went there with my girlfriend. What a disaster! We reserved a table at 6:30. My drinks didn't arrive until 7:30, and my girlfriend's didn't even arrive. We waited an hour for our second round of food. Everything that was supposed to be hot was cold. And they chase after your glasses while you're still eating. Then they suddenly come and take everything away. Very pushy. The staff is far from friendly. I had to wait ages for my food several times. It's a truly awful restaurant. And that for 40 pp, 4 rounds of food, and terrible service. A truly awful restaurant.

Had lunch last Sunday. What a disaster. It started with the waitress being incredibly grumpy. The room wasn't comfortably warm. And then the food. I had a brown baguette with meatballs. The bread was soaking in cold gravy and was so soggy it fell apart. The meatballs weren't even warm enough. My partner's schnitzel was black and impossible to slice. When we called someone, they offered to make a new one, but I wasn't listened to. I'd long since finished my meal when a new plate of schnitzel arrived. It was sliceable, but still tough, with poor quality meat. And the fries weren't warm either. We had to wait over 20 minutes for them. We weren't charged for the drinks as compensation. This compensation, considering the misery, the other poor food, the long wait, and the fact that we both had to eat alone, makes no sense. It still made for a long lunch. Anyway, considering the whole experience, we weren't looking forward to eating there again. They'll never see us again.

The food is good and the concept is fun. However, this restaurant isn't suitable for groups. Furthermore, it's not the fastest: waiting 45 minutes or longer for a round of tapas is the norm rather than the exception. This way, the "unlimited tapas" concept is still limited.

We had a wonderful evening, with a pleasant atmosphere and delicious food. And above all, we received excellent service from Brit. She was attentive to her guests, took her time, and spoke to everyone kindly.

The food was good, but we had to wait half an hour each for the last three rounds. You mention it, and the cashier says, "Yeah, that's what Saturday is for!" Frankly, I think that's a pretty poor excuse.

The food was fine, but the service hadn't quite figured out the ropes yet... We had to work hard to get someone to come to our table to take our first order. Sometimes the dishes took ages to arrive, or we couldn't order for quite a while. Other times, the service came by three times while we were still waiting for dishes we'd previously ordered. The table wasn't cleared between orders, so there was a huge pile of dishes on the table at the end of the evening. The restrooms were very dirty, and of the five women's restrooms, only one had toilet paper. After this was reported, it wasn't replenished. Perhaps they had new or inexperienced staff on the roster, but they could use some more training.

I've been going there for years, it was a great place! But it's definitely gotten worse over the years. Long waits for your food these days, lots of mixed up dishes and bad service. I need to tell the staff what's what! The toilet is super dirty, how can you even think of that with so many people? It's truly disgracefully poorly maintained. The staff is just awful, constantly changing and way too young. We won't be back. You just get way too little for your money. It could be so much better, a shame! It used to be so good, do something about it! Otherwise, I'm afraid it will be your downfall.

The dishes are of excellent quality and beautifully presented. Unlike other tapas restaurants, you can place your order directly with the staff. We've been here several times, and it's always been excellent. Tonight, the service wasn't what I'm used to. One person had to take all the orders. When it got busier, it took a long time for orders to be taken, and the food itself took a long time to be served. Waiting that long for a tapas order shouldn't be acceptable. I don't know if this is due to the owner's understaffing or something else. It would behoove the owner to respond to this disappointing review. Instead, around 9:00 PM, they started dragging garbage bags through the restaurant, right past our table. They barely paid any attention to us. Our dessert order wasn't brought until 9:45 PM, and then it took another 30 minutes. The fireworks from the birthday package? There's no sign of them. Only after a complaint at the table did they arrive, literally one minute before closing time, with a small firework display. The price-quality ratio is absolutely outrageous. You pay far too much for simple, cold, and tasteless food and poor service. I'll never return. What a disgrace.

Normally, we're served by a fantastic waiter. He's known us for years. This time, eight of us were seated next to the bar. But we were mostly overlooked. I made a rather unpleasant comment myself, but it was purely meant to be funny because I heard the waitresses talking about our table (I won't quote the text). However, we were there from 6:30 to 10, and I could only order five two-course meals, after which we were told this was the last round. I hinted several times that our plates didn't need to be removed yet because we were still ordering. This wasn't our last time, but tonight's meal was far below par.

After reading the reviews, I decided to go to Tress Meteren, feeling a bit lost. We received a friendly welcome; I suspect the staff were turning people away due to staff shortages. I have to admit, this is frustrating for the staff involved, but it's something Tress does well. This promotes quality for the guests who can eat and the work atmosphere for the staff. I thought the food was fine, except for a few things that were cooked far too long. But overall, it was adequate. The staff deserved 5 stars. They really went above and beyond, not being pushy but always arriving at our table on time to take our drink orders and bring us any new dishes. The waitstaff was also very kind to our children. This just goes to show that reviews are snapshots.
