Always delicious and good bread and hebak at Van Gent. The cookies and just about everything else is also delicious. Questions are always answered, and a chat is always welcome when the shop is less busy. A pleasant atmosphere.

Delicious bread and delicious pastries

Disappointment in Chocolates. I've bought a few boxes of chocolates as gifts based on an open sample box, so you get the impression it's all about the chocolates. The disappointment is that after Christmas, half of them were filled with Christmas chocolates, and now, at the end of February, half are full of Valentine's Day chocolate hearts and such. It's a way to get rid of leftovers, but it's not fair, and it's actually quite sneaky. So, a disappointment with a bit of a lingering taste.

Bread not tasty and croissants are anything but fresh

Great bakery for the neighborhood, not the best or tastiest but great pastries and bread. The assortment is pretty standard. Unfortunately quite expensive. There are several other bakeries around the neighborhood that we personally like better.

I rarely take the trouble to write a review, but now I have to. I had a cake in mind, and with this idea I went to this bakery. A young guy who works there was nice, said that I should put my wishes in the mail and said that I would possibly be called. That's what I got, by a man of 50. He was really antisocial, blunt and said for example when I explained something about the appearance that I was not looking at the Eiffel Tower but at a cake. Such stupid remarks were thrown at the phone, and all my ideas were also wrong. He knew everything better, but oh well I thought so what, he does this more often and not. Still I got a suspicious feeling, which was reinforced when I asked around about experiences with this bakery. No one is positive from the Soesterkwartier and surroundings. The reviews here are not positive either. When I picked up the cake from a very sweet older baker, I could not contain my laughter and shock. Nothing was right. A cake for a MAN was pink. On the phone I also said that this was for a man. It had to have gold leaf on it, as stated in the email. It was silver. His name had to be written on it as stated in the email, and it was printed on it. I also sent a photo of the font, these were block letters. The color of the text was also stated in the email, this didn't suck either. Then we spoke extensively on the phone and I repeated everything and explained it even more specifically. I really wonder if I spoke Chinese? Everything can even be read in the email, and I used the Dutch language. How strange is it that nothing is correct then? The man in the bakery wanted to solve it, I almost felt guilty. But this really couldn't be solved. Should customers read this review before they go to this bakery. Then really think about it again

I got pastries from this bakery last Monday as a treat at work. This was spoiled when I called and indicated it was spoiled, he said this is not possible, it was freshly made this morning. I then arrived with spoiled cakes and received a credit of 10 euros while I paid more than 30 euros! The gentleman was very rude and thought this was more than enough. I was overwhelmed and sent an email to the gentleman to find a solution. I was told I'm quite hostile. Was very neat and correct and I gave the gentleman several chances to give me a refund or chocolates that were in the display case, I received a box of chocolates that I did not want! People who have eaten it have been sick for several days. I am going to report it to the VWA because this is not possible and is not allowed!

I ordered a unicorn cake for my daughter's birthday. Had 17 guests. Nobody ate it. Nobody liked it. Even children. Was very dirty 🤢 Pity. Had to throw it away completely

Gebak voor op kantoor besteld. Men was er erg blij mee. Het zag er net zo lekker uit als dat het smaakte. Bedankt, en zal in de toekomst vaker bij jullie bestellen.

Zelf zonder geproefd te hebben is dit far out de beste bakker van Amersfoort!!!!! Ze regelden binnen 1 uur een taartje voor mijn jarige moeder van 84 die in isolement zit. Heel klantgericht!
