The fries are still okay, but otherwise it's a faded gem. The snack bar is closed more often than it's open, and the staff is very unfriendly. It's also become very expensive.

Very unfriendly staff, they won't take orders by phone even though the website isn't working properly. It's also great that a restaurant operates this way. As far as I'm concerned, they should just close their doors. Antisocial.

What terrible service. No hello, no goodbye, and it even felt like it was a favor to let us order. Very unfriendly. I definitely won't be going there again.

It's getting less, you throw away almost 1/4 of the fries at home, hard fries.

You have to double-check every time that everything is included in your order. Your snacks are cooling while the fries aren't ready yet. The staff generally seem uninterested.

You get to the snack bar and can only order a soft serve ice cream because they're all out of fries. How can you do that?

I got fries from Van Ree this week, but the quality has gone downhill! They were literally factory-made fries. Not the fries you're used to at Van Ree. These were literally fries you can get at any snack bar on the corner—boring, standard fries, a real shame. And then they charged over €7 for two portions. It's my last time at Van Ree, because I find this quite disappointing.

Friendly staff, fries were fried twice, rock hard and the fat was dripping out, unfortunately inedible. Also the fatbike youth hanging in front of the door does not feel inviting.

Increase your rates drastically and then dramatically reduce your service. Years of happy always getting food but the current service is really dramatic. If you are an entrepreneur with too little staff, choose to close a location and keep your service at the same level at your other locations. But if all locations run with too few and inexperienced staff, you will simply lose customers.

Great chip shop with homemade chips, friendly staff

This afternoon there was an older woman behind the counter who I think had gotten out of bed on the wrong side. What a grump! Another customer left the store angry and swearing because of the employee's attitude. The lady was sitting outside on the phone with a cigarette in her mouth and was scolding her colleagues. The words she used were rude and all this while there were 4 young children sitting next to her, including 2 babies. These types of people do not belong in the catering industry. In fact, these types of people ensure that you never go to such a place again. It's high time she retires and leaves it to the youth she had nothing good to say about. We won't be coming here anymore for the time being. Big fat disappointment!

Limp cold fries and I deliberately ordered 3 portions because when you order for 2 people you get very little. The price has also gone up quite a bit, the lady who helped me said, everything is getting more expensive. This was the last time I will get fries on the strip for a while.

Taking orders was extremely slow. A number of customers have already expressed irritation that things could be done a little faster. The snacks were ok but the fries were limp and should have been cooked longer. No tasty fries, I'll go somewhere else from now on.

We regularly receive limp, barely baked fries. I'm getting a bit tired of it, because that means 3.75 euros for a fries goes straight into the trash. Eating is not an option, then you will have a stomach ache all evening and feel sick as hell. But that could also be due to the frying fat, because your intestines always protest after you've been here. No, not recommended anymore - we do the baking ourselves.

Products are pricey but good, that's not the reason. Staff is not really friendly and there is no greeting. People are only busy with telephone orders and the customer at the counter is completely ignored. Finally leave again.

€3.5 for fries without them and not even a normal portion. That's honestly not possible. I'm going to try again in a month, if I still get such a child's portion, unfortunately I won't come by again.

I have never experienced such poor service. I walked in during a football match. There was no customer in the store, but I was told to wait a moment. Because there was a football match on. I indicated that I would like to see that myself... if looks could kill, I wouldn't be there now. After that the service was extremely slow, sorry I couldn't get rid of it. Cold and hot fries mixed together

There was a not very customer friendly woman behind the counter yesterday. We ordered 2 fries, 1 large and 1 small, but it was not clear to us that it would come in 1 bag and that if you just wanted to get it in 2 separate containers (which you would expect), you had to do this clearly in advance. indicate when ordering. Unfortunately, this could not be reversed, but we were allowed to take 2 empty containers with us to divide this into the containers ourselves. No idea why they couldn't still put it in 2 separate containers for us? The fries war outings were also forgotten. The other two young boys who were working (to whom the woman was also not very nice) were friendly.

Excellent fries and snacks, but part of the order is often forgotten (usually the sauce). There's no point in complaining, they don't respond to emails. Placed an order via the internet, very well on time (at least an hour before the desired collection time), but have never experienced that the order was ready on time. On average fifteen minutes later than desired. The quality of the food and the expertise of the employees is clearly less than a few years ago.

Faded glory and succumbed to their own success. The chip cart at the market was always fine, but the fries from the shop are often inedible. Or too brown, and full of rock-hard bits, too salty or undercooked. Poor quality potatoes and mediocre quality of the snacks. No idea what sauces are used, but a small snack bar uses the Oliehoorn and not cheap junk. Moreover, it is also quite expensive and something is always forgotten when ordering. Not for us anymore.

Een van de fijne snackbars in Hoorn, met de echte van Ree kwaliteit

Net bij de jonge dames patat en snacks gehaald. Patat was echt slap, en het hotdogbroodje was gevuld met twee knakworstjes, wat een giller, daarnaast zat er helemaal geen saus op.... jammer. Zie foto. ;-)

Wil je rustig een patatje halen, wordt je meteen overspoeld door een zeer negatief personeelslid. Geen begroeting bij binnenkomst maar een: is het al 20.00 uur? Ook zeer neerbuigend en negatief naar mede personeel. Betreffende medewerker (tevens eindverantwoordelijke) was duidelijk toe aan een lange vakantie. Zeer gestresst wat zijn weerslag heeft op de aardappelen. Patatje smaakte hierdoor minder lekker.

Prima gegeten, het mag allemaal wel wat sneller..

Erg lekkere patat. Alleen zouden de harde stukken wel wat minder mogen. Dat is echt zonde van er zijn wel vaak harde resten over. Maar de smaak is heerlijk! Verder ook erg vriendelijk aardig personeel!

Patat en snacks van topkwaliteit. Vooral de eigengemaakte patat is overheerlijk. Daar rij je graag een straatje voor om. Verder natuurlijk de altijd vriendelijke bediening. Een topzaak waar ik graag een patatje haal.

Smullen! Personeel mag alleen wel iets vrolijker :)

Zelfgemaakte friet van prima kwaliteit, alleen online bestellen soms trager dan direct afhalen.

Heerlijke patat en een overheerlijke pindasaus. Goed gegeten en betaalbaar bovendien.

Lekkere patat, maar er wordt weleens wat vergeten. Net mijn zoon teruggestuurd voor de vergeten pindasaus. “Had er bij moeten zitten”, dus kreeg niets mee ... jammer hoor. Sociale vaardigheden zijn niet iedereen ruim toebedeeld.

Het over privé zaken praten van sommige personeelsleden in het bijzijn van klanten blijft voor mij storend. Kwaliteit van het eten en snelheid van bediening 5 sterren dus een gemiddelde van 3

Tot een jaar geleden rommelig, chaotisch. Maar inmiddels loopt de zaak als een geoliede machine. Duidelijk werk gemaakt van de klachten. De patat en snacks zijn heerlijk, de wachttijd bij drukte kan iets op lopen (maar waar niet?). Niet heel gezellig, maar is in principe dan ook afhaal. Tip: gebruik de app, bestelling stond altijd stipt op tijd klaar.

Op zich is de kwaliteit van de snacks, ook vegetarische, goed. Ik heb helaas zelf al een paar keer ondervonden dat een deel van de bestelling ontbrak bij thuiskomst. Niet 1x, maar inmiddels al enkele keren voorgekomen. Dar is voor mij de reden om hier niet snel weer terug te komen.
