What a lovely wine bar! A cozy terrace, very friendly staff, tasty snacks, and delicious wines. And all of that in the charming city of Breda. It's definitely worth stopping by for a glass of wine.

Only problem with thus place is that it is so good and so popular you need to make sure you need it days ahead if you want to be sure of a table

I had dinner with my boyfriend last night. He was already raving, and after this evening, I am too. We were incredibly impressed with the staff. The ladies who work here are truly the face of Veemarktplein. The management should be incredibly proud of this team—they radiate joy in what they do, and you can see it in everything. The food was fantastic, the wines delicious, and the knowledge and presentation of everything were truly top-notch. You don't find that everywhere! In short: we had a wonderful time.

The weather was lovely so we took a seat on the crowded terrace. We didn't have to wait long for the very nice hostess. Not much later, the wine was served accompanied by delicious oysters and mouth-watering gyozas. The food and drinks are prepared and served with attention. In short, highly recommended!

Delicious lunch! There were six of us and we were surprised with delicious, varied lunch dishes. All equally delicious! The service is top notch and they serve delicious wines. Highly recommended!

Really a great case. Nice atmosphere, pleasant staff who are really willing to think along with you and are enthusiastic about what they can offer, and above all, very tasty food. There were 6 of us and we wanted to surprise ourselves with an extensive lunch. Delicious, easy, fun, changing dishes and each one even tastier than the other. We were lucky enough to sit outside in the sun, so it was a recipe for a nice afternoon. Cleverly placed in a place where nothing seemed to work. Highly recommended!

Genius place! Delicious wines, but the beer list is also more than excellent. Food is truly a treat! The menu changes regularly, but the classics remain. Great for a drink with friends or a main course. Butterboard changes regularly, but is always a winner!

We spontaneously walked into the restaurant and were immediately greeted in a friendly manner. Despite the restaurant being full, we were fortunately able to get a table. What a wonderful atmosphere and experience. Delicious wines and beers with great food. And a very personal approach which makes the atmosphere pleasant. So definitely visit!

One of my favorite places in Breda for a drink, a tasty snack or an extensive dinner. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, the atmosphere is relaxed and pleasant and the food is delicious! Be surprised! I recommend Veemarktplein to everyone in my area. More than worth 5 stars!

After we first went 'Lurking & Corking' at the fantastic Latour, we then crossed the street to the other business of the same owners: Veemarktplein. Here we went for drinks and something to eat. The experience of Latour is neatly continued here. Very friendly and good service, great wines, super food. I can't say anything else. We were a group of 4 and had different food options. We started with a portion of delicious bitterballen and then each ordered a few more things as the evening went on. I ate the Gyoza myself. Man man, these are so delicious! Wow. So rich in taste. Super. I also had the Shepherd's Pie. Also really great, served in a nice mini Le Creuset pan. For dessert I had the French toast. This was another heavenly combination. In this case a combination of PX, figs, orange and hazelnut with vanilla ice cream. Top. Not very cheap, but you certainly get value for your money at Veemarkt Plein. We had a great evening.

When visiting the Chassé Theater it is nice to have something to eat in the area beforehand. V Markt Plein = an unexpected surprise! Please note: this restaurant offers Shared Dining! So you can taste all the goodies on your table!

The two of us were here last Thursday and we really enjoyed the good wine, the delicious food and the service-oriented and friendly staff. I hope it stays that way for a long time, as it will keep us coming back many more times!

I understand why it is full here every day: very tasty sharing dishes, very quick service, also very attentive. The dishes very tasty, original. Service knows about wine so they can give good advice. And always have it tasted, absolutely great! Nice atmosphere (sometimes a bit noisy); we will definitely come back.

Had drinks here with friends on Saturday afternoon/evening. One of our friends is extremely allergic to certain products and she has never been taken into account so well and so pleasantly. Everyone gave good explanations and things were adapted very well for her. The service thought this was self-evident, but we know from experience that this is certainly not always the case. Compliments again!!

One of my favorite places in Breda. After having our first date here, my boyfriend and I regularly return for a cava and a few oysters (recommended!). The service is always good and yesterday, after a small moment of panic due to miscommunication about dietary requirements, everything was done, by both the staff and the kitchen, to ensure that our dinner was a great success. Thanks again for all the good care and we will be back soon!

I already visited once in 2023 and was already impressed by the hospitality and the wine selection. Today September 22, 2024; "Where are we going for a drink?" "To Veemarktplein!" It was a great afternoon! Great service, knowledge of the wine list, super hospitable, delicious snacks in collaboration with Latour. Khumbo understands what customer-oriented entrepreneurship is, as do the other staff. Good wines, especially the Riesling...Maintain this level!!!

Had a very nice experience, very nice service at a good location in Breda. Wide choice of food and wine, which also tasted very good.

What a wonderful day we had here! In the afternoon we sat down on the lovely terrace and, after delicious wines and snacks, we went home hours later satisfied. The service is great! At the table we had a lot of explanation about different wines. We were listened to and a wine was offered based on our interest. All delicious!! We will definitely come back!

Top spot, interesting wines, tasty bites (to share and/or eat alone). Great team in the service, and they have a fantastic memory... know and recognize customers and preferences. One of my favorite places in Breda… and right next to a great bookstore. That's all you need.

A while ago we spontaneously visited Veemarktplein. We were hoping for a spot and luckily we were able to sit at the bar. Super nice service, delicious food and a good glass of wine. Would recommend everyone to go here!

Very nice place, its really cosy. I took place at the terrace which was nice with the good weather. The drinks and food were good, we had some wine with the cheese and bread which matched really good. Good place to go either with family, friends or on a date.

Made a spontaneous visit to this nice wine bar. Actually, all tables were reserved, but all employees did their best to make room for us. We were allowed to try 3 red wines and then order our favorite. We selected a delicious Georgian wine that we enjoyed all evening. We also ate very tasty snacks in the form of shared dining. Nice portions that all tasted good and good quality and fresh products. The host regularly came for a chat and they told a lot about the dishes and accompanying drinks. There is a nice atmosphere, good acoustics, nice interior and we thoroughly enjoyed this wonderful evening. I'll come back again soon.

Ate here for the 3rd time now. Structurally excellent quality and surprising. Well-trained service who know what is on the table, including the wines. Flexible if you don't know which wine, you can taste it... today a nice wine and dining experience. Very successful with new discoveries.

Magnificent restaurant in the heart of Breda, great atmosphere (even on a Sunday lunch), delicious and inexpensive dish (tapas style), beautiful wine list, charming staff. To do if you pass through Breda, you will not be disappointed!

Lekker eten en lekkere wijntjes en hele leuke bediening.

Leuk restaurant met een leuk shared-dinner concept. Eten was erg lekker, met 1 minpuntje: de porties zijn aan de kleine kant in vergelijk tot wat je er voor betaalt. Personeel is erg attent en vriendelijk.

Sehr schönes Restaurant und sehr lecker. Einzig die Portionen könnten etwas größer sein. Das Essen war ansprechend angerichtet und sehr hochwertig. Fazit: Nichts für den großen Hunger - Hier genießt man.

Erg gezellig zitten. Enthousiaste en kundige bediening. En heerlijk eten, shared dining.

Heel lekker vegan gegeten. Ook al is dit zeker geen veganrestaurant, het personeel denkt mee! De (vegan) pekingeend en de gyoza waren voortreffelijk.

De wijn, de sfeer, het eten, alles is geweldig! Personeel praat met passie over de wijnen, je kunt alles proeven en denken graag met je mee. Gerechten afwisselend en stuk voor stuk heerlijk. Kaasplank, butter board, gyoza en bavette kan ik zeker aanraden. Terras zit je ook heerlijk. Dikke aanrader.

We hadden hier gereserveerd voor een High Wine (staat niet op het menu) en het was fantastisch. 6 proefglazen met goede en enthousiaste uitleg, heerlijke bijpassende hapjes en een attente bediening. We zaten op het terras op een zonnige zondag en we hebben genoten.

Wow! Als hotello en gastrofiel m’n fair share aan gastheerschap genoten maar deze tent slaat alles. Bizar goed gegeten en veel goede wijnen geproefd! Maar hoe dit team bijdraagt aan je avondje uit is een unicum, zelden zo gezien. Severin en Joep hebben ons bizar goed geholpen, kudo’s naar jullie heren! Ik ga hier vaak terug komen

Heerlijk hier altijd: mooie wijnen per glas, goed eten en een service waar veel zaken een puntje aan kunnen zuigen!! Een parel in de parel van het zuiden!

Fijnste tent in Breda. Zo gastvrij, vriendelijk en de lekkerste wijnen en hapjes.

Werden vriendelijk onthaald, maar daar is het bij gebleven. Het eten en drinken wat we kregen was heerlijk, maar als je bijna een uur met geen eten of drinken zit te wachten op hetgeen je besteld had (wat we tevens ook niet hebben gekregen) is bij ons de maat vol. Daarbij verdient de opmerking dat de zaak niet vol zat. Hier komen we in ieder geval niet meer.

Na veel goede verhalen eindelijk zelf mogen ervaren en de al hoge verwachtingen werden toch nog overtroffen. Het eten is top, de bediening is zeer deskundig en vriendelijk en de sfeer was perfect. Hoge kwaliteit zonder pretenties, niets dan lof! Ik kan echt iedereen aanbevelen hier te gaan eten. We hebben genoten!

Als je even wordt bediend door een andere medewerker, dan is de voorgaande erg nieuwsgierig wat je hebt besteld voor eten en wijn. Daarnaast doen ze erg hun best om je op je gemak te stellen en er een leuke ervaring en avond van te maken! Aanrader!
