A really lovely place to bring kids. In the summer you can swim and during the winter months there is a lovely ice skating/curling rink for all ages. There is an easy oversight over the rink with all the tables and chairs that are installed in front. Make sure to bring gloves and warm clothes! Food is reasonably priced and service with a smile.

This afternoon, after a funeral, we had lunch with a group of 17 people at Villa Westend. It's a cheerful, vibrant place where you still experience an intimate feeling with a large group. The food and drinks were delicious, and the attentive, hospitable service, sensitive to the occasion, ensured a successful lunch. Thank you for allowing us to conclude our funeral with such a wonderful service.

Tonight I had the Unlimited mussels. Unlimited? After the first X, I ordered another half pan. But after waiting half an hour, I asked where my order was. The answer was that they were "out of"🙄..... Poor communication between us, maybe it's a good idea to tell the customer. Poor communication between us....too bad. They made it easy to choose a dessert.... The tartin🫣 No.......ohhhh no...

Too much money for what you get. The service is also slow. Lower the prices; €5.50 for a tiny portion of fries is ridiculous. The meat price could also be reduced by 20%. The quality of the meat wasn't anything to write home about either.

A lovely atmosphere, especially outside by the lake, is a great spot when the weather is nice. Plenty of parking, definitely worth a visit. We were here with our company, but it's also a great and cozy place to spend time with your partner.

We first sat on the terrace after a lovely walk. When the weather turned, there was luckily still room inside. And we enjoyed a delicious lunch. A beautiful location, especially on a summer day, but even in wind and rain, it's a pleasure to be here.

I've been here several times because I really like it, but the staff is just incredibly rude. If you want to have a good time, I wouldn't go here. I always leave feeling grumpy because of the way I'm treated. Just ask a normal question and they look at you like you're a moron. Especially that burly man with red hair... yuck. Unfortunately, my mother was there yesterday too. She was told a cot costs €10, but she ended up paying €15 per person. Today she called to check and was told, bluntly, "Yes, it is €15," and "If that tenner makes you happy, we can give it back." Instead of trying to find a solution, she just got a rude and ignorant response from the woman on the phone. This place either needs to be closed, or the staff needs to be replaced ASAP. 🤡

Whenever I go there, there's always a friendly, pleasant atmosphere and a wide selection. The beach is also nice, where you can sit and enjoy the company of your children.

Last August, we got married at Villa Westend. We have indoor and outdoor options. The location is beautiful! It's very atmospheric and has a lovely waterfront setting. The staff is very helpful, and practically anything is possible. The food and snacks are luxurious and delicious! We had such a great time; we highly recommend it!

It's a lovely place to sit on the terrace, and the atmosphere is very good. Inside, it also looks cozy and warm. The price/quality ratio for the food isn't fantastic. Today, we had a rather meager Caesar salad plate for lunch for €20. But then the service. Wow... I walked in and a few girls were hanging around the bar, chatting, no one looked up or around. Finally, I said something myself. There wasn't a single good morning or smile. I was led to our reserved table. From a distance, it was pointed out. No "would you like something to drink?" When we were all there, they took our drink orders, and a little later, our food. Still not exactly welcoming. Our food didn't take too long. Our glasses were empty, but we weren't asked if we wanted another drink. We ended up ordering ourselves and then had to wait fifteen minutes for it. The bill, however, arrived promptly. In short, a great place to sit and eat, but don't expect too much from the service.

The carrot cake was a fluffy dream, exactly as you'd hope: nutty, spicy, and that frosting? Divine. The cheeks cake—well, that was more of a cheeky wink than a flavor explosion, a bit dry, to be honest. Cappuccino? Firm, good foam, no complaints. But that homemade lemonade, oh dear, it was so sour it made my tooth enamel run! The atmosphere is cozy, the service prompt, but that lemonade was a sensation for a place outside of the city.

Since the summer of 2023, we've dined at this beautiful location four times. Unfortunately, we've seen a significant decline in service during that time. From our first visit, we've had a clear preference for a specific round table on the terrace (the northernmost one). We explicitly stated this preference for our second and third online reservations. Initially, this was accommodated without any problems. However, with our third reservation, it turned out this hadn't been taken into account, and we were directed to a table near the playground, exactly where we didn't want to sit. Fortunately, our preferred table wasn't occupied at the time, so we were able to sit there after all. Up until then, the overall experience had been reasonably good, worth an average of about four stars. To be on the safe side, I decided to call to confirm our table preference again for our fourth reservation. That proved quite a challenge, but after some insistence, we were promised that it would be taken into account. (I also indicated that otherwise, we would book elsewhere.) Yesterday's summer weather wasn't exactly inviting: cloudy, but dry. The terrace was only about a fifth occupied. To my surprise, "our" table turned out to be occupied after all. When I mentioned this, a red-haired staff member waved away my comment and directed us to another round table near the playground. I reluctantly agreed, but to my dismay, this table had an overflowing, dirty ashtray. Since no one took action, we removed the ashtray and cleaned the table ourselves. The food was reasonable this time, but certainly not up to the standard we were used to. The fries were of exceptionally poor quality; it seemed as if the last bits from the bag had been used instead of the kitchen trying to crack open a new one. The fries were almost exclusively hard, small pieces. In short: the ladies serving the food are not to blame; they do their job properly. But the arrogant red-haired staff member, who acts like he owns the place and seats us at a dirty table, as well as certain aspects of the kitchen, really should reconsider. In any case, my family and I will not be coming back here.

I stopped by for lunch. The location and the restaurant itself are beautiful. Unfortunately, the service and food experience left much to be desired. The staff is inexperienced, and it shows. I didn't find the price-quality ratio good: I ordered a club sandwich, which was truly disappointing. I left more than half of it and mentioned it, but nobody responded. My advice: it's a very nice place for a cup of coffee or a drink with a snack, but for a good lunch or dinner, I'd choose another place because the food is nothing special.

Villa Westend in Velserbroek is highly recommended. You can go here for a business meeting, a party or to have a delicious meal. The service is friendly and the food is really great. The location is atmospheric and is beautifully situated on the water. Nice that there is also a beach, that makes it extra relaxing and cozy. A versatile place where you like to come back.

2 generations. Very bad and unfriendly organization. Taking coat off bike was not allowed. Out is out. Pitches on. Ordered and paid for 2. Was there only 1 and got no coins back was the answer. Felt very inhospitable.

Had lunch with colleagues this afternoon, it is a beautiful location. Spacious, nicely decorated, friendly welcome and the girls in the service do their best! The food was delicious, we were regularly asked if it was ready and also asked if we wanted something to drink. BUT a gust of wind came up, so hard that the parasol with base and all blew over, right on my colleague's hand and knee, then on the table and myself. The table tilted and all the glasses full of drinks, rosé beer, beer, wine and soft drinks fell over me! Wet and sticky from my shoulders to my slippers, pants and underwear soaked! Man from another table helped and the staff? Ran to the other parasols to fold them and then... nothing!! I was dumbfounded! A colleague of mine went inside for a cloth to dry me. After that no one came to ask, gosh how annoying do you need something or something. Absolutely nothing! We got the drinks that had been spilled new, after a very long wait, and someone overheard half a conversation whether it was true that everything had been spilled.... I often post reviews and I never set out to put a catering establishment down. But apart from the fact that I thought this was incredibly bad service, I find it inhumanly antisocial that you can't even come and ask if everything is okay! Really a bit bizarre... but anyway the food was tasty and luckily the plates had already been cleared....

Nice atmospheric place. With sunny weather it is great because of the terrace and beach. The food is very tasty. However, the service makes you wait too long for your order and clearing tables also takes too long. They left the dirty plates of the previous people while we got our drinks. It is about too many discs. Everyone has his or her own task. The staff is, with the exception of one person, 'not thinking for themselves', which is a shame.

What a beautiful location! It was truly an honor to DJ at Villa Westend. It was a real blast: the energy was high from the start and the dance floor remained full until the end. In fact, people wanted to continue even longer, always a good sign! 🎉

I had a club sandwich with a cup of tea. Was very tasty! But honestly, found it relatively expensive.

The location is great, but there is one major drawback: the service is absolutely terrible. Want to call ahead to ask something? Forget it — no one ever answers, no matter how many times you call during the day. Want to stop by and ask something? You can easily wait 10-15 minutes at the counter — no one is there and everyone seems to be busy with their own business. The location is great, but the service couldn’t be worse. Shameful.

It all took a bit long, the food was fine, the schnitzel was Mega! The furniture, especially the couch, needs to be renewed, the table edges needed a thorough cleaning. Furthermore, a good location, parking is also fine. You are completely out of it.

Booked in advance, waited a long time to be able to order. Then in 2 seconds bread on the table without explanation what the dips were. Finally waited more than 1 hour for starter after asking when we could expect it. Then still had to wait too long for main course. No big menu, food was good, unfortunately an entrecote with a lot of fat, very unfortunate. Drinks are often requested but unfortunately serving food is not.

Today (Father's Day) we had lunch with six people at Villa Westend. The location is beautiful and the decor chic. Unfortunately it took almost 50 minutes before we were served our lunch. The club sandwich and hamburger were nothing special and the fries consisted mainly of small pieces (leftovers). A beer ordered in between never arrived. The taps at the toilets are mounted so low that you can hardly wash your hands. Afterwards we were offered coffee because of the long waiting time. All in all not a good experience and therefore not recommended.

It's the little things that matter. Here it felt like they weren't waiting for any more guests. Bitterballen were lukewarm, probably well cooked but waited too long to serve. Had to ask for ice cream twice and was not warmly received, especially upon arrival

Understaffing and poor service. Waited 2 hours for starter and main course. After asking twice, they found out that the order had not been printed. Then you would say make it urgent. No, we just stood at the back again and had to watch left and right as the food was brought to tables around us. After another angry inquiry (3rd time...) it was fixed quickly. Bad stuff train your staff!

Always a nice, quiet atmosphere at villa Westend. Tasted the sushi here for the first time, which they serve every Thursday to Sunday and it was really fantastic, I have never had such tasty and fresh sushi. Definitely recommended!

What a disappointment... if you come to cycle 10km to have a drink, they say that it is full with an empty restaurant and a half-full terrace! The gentleman who was allowed to tell this seemed to be quite excited that he could show people the door. This gentleman probably thinks his boss has enough money! The wait staff was still willing to receive us. It's a terrible compliment, what customer unfriendliness this is! NEVER AGAIN!!!

If you come specifically for a drink, we will simply be sent away! It's ridiculous that you cycle for fifteen minutes for that!

Update: Once again, after a number of years, back to Villa Westend. This time we try the tapas evening, maybe this will make up for our visit 2 years ago. If you want to convey the Ibiza feeling, it has to be right. Upon entering we are completely ignored and passed by several times by the staff, until after about ten minutes a young man finally has the courage to speak to us. The staff is polite and friendly, but lacks the hospitality I am used to in the catering industry. The Spanish singer and staff dressed according to the theme create the atmosphere. Shrinkflation is still rampant here. Where in Spain and even expensive Ibiza the tapas bowl is well filled, here emptiness predominates. The albondigas? Two small meatballs with a minimal amount of sauce. The mushrooms? Can hardly be divided among six people. The gambas al ajillo? Not even served in an oil with garlic, as it should be. The only tapas that are reasonable in terms of price-quality ratio are the patatas bravas. There is no arguing about the taste and there is little to complain about tonight, the tapas are well prepared. The atmosphere is also cozy. But for this price I would have liked to be served more generously and authentically Spanish, despite the themed staff. Unfortunately, it remains meager and Villa Westend is once again unable to convince. ------------------- 2 years ago - Had a drink in the beach bar of Villa Westend as there were no seats on the restaurant terrace. Beach has been transformed into something that, I think, must look like "something" Ibizan. It always amazes me why prices have to be so high if the owner even thinks he can convey the Ibiza feeling. Nice try, but unfortunately it completely missed the mark, unlike the fun events with Ibiza themes that existed before. What applies here and for all catering establishments in the Netherlands on the water. An Ibizan style is fine, but stick to your true identity, it is and remains the Netherlands.

Tried it again after a while, but in short... The price-quality ratio here is really out of proportion. This was different at Villa Westend for the first few years, but they won't see us again for a while. An absolute must and plenty of nice, better priced and tasty alternatives in the area such as Brafoer.

Last Sunday the Spanish evening was very good in terms of atmosphere, however the price 28€ for a small jug of sangria was out of line. Converted 9€ for a small glass. We ordered Albundigas and got 2 tiny balls for 7€, 2 tiny chorizo ​​croquettes also 7€ then you don't dare as a guest to order the more expensive tapas to avoid disappointment. When paying 15€ too much was charged on the receipt but fortunately that was adjusted. See it as points for improvement

If you are spontaneously invited and an excellent lunch is waiting for you with some nice, sweet, cheerful and welcoming people from Villa Westend, how nice is that. Well we had that today. In one word WOW, okay one more: fantastic! Already in the parking lot, look at the location and you can see the cheerfulness through a few palm trees! When you enter the beautiful restaurant you will be surprised by a beach and a lake. You really have to experience it yourself. You won't want to leave!

We were there during the dinner show with "Tom Jones and Frank Sinatra". It was, in one word, GREAT! We immediately booked for November 1st because they will come again then. The show is great but the ambiance in Villa Westend is also fantastic. We enjoyed a TOP evening!

Just had lunch. Nice spot and could be a good local. Food was nice but service needs a lot of work. 3 waitresses just standing around, had to go up and get our own menus. Food arrived no cutlery, again had to go up and get our own. Asked for the bill.. same thing. Has the potential to be a really cool spot just recommend a bit more attentiveness from the staff.

We came here after a walk for drinks and some food. Only the drinks menu was available on the table. We asked for the food menu but the waitress forgot that so after some time waiting I had to pick up the food menu myself at the bar. We ordered cakes and were told 10 minutes later that they didn't have those anymore. A lot of waiting and in the end we just drank our beverages and left. Pretentious and pricey, which is fine but the service was not to that standard at all. First visit and last visit.

High Tea is great, lunch is also great. Nice place to have a drink. Recently had the Schnitzel...it's really not good. Thin, dry, bland (so not eaten) and the mushroom sauce is more of a tapenade. Employee understood, unfortunately no apology from the chef. But okay, it's solved, I had a chicken skewer, which gets a passing grade. Ambience is cozy, yet 4 stars all in all.

Price-quantity is not good. The amount of soup offered for lunch is far too little. For €12.50 I got a very small cup, I thought the size would serve more as a side dish, and not for lunch. I have passed this on to the staff, I hope they do something with it. Furthermore, it is a neat and cozy tent. Tip: larger portion of soup for lunch, or add more garnishes (toast with spread, salad, extra rye bread)

What a wonderful evening with my girlfriend. The food was very tasty. The waiter Ronin was super friendly when serving, very attentive and caring.

There wasn't much to do and the ice rink was much too small

Christmas brunch for €49 pp. Quality unprecedentedly poor and cheap. Service was also terrible. For €49 you get lukewarm coffee or tea with fresh orange juice that you had to get yourself, some cold sandwiches, salads, pastries and a bitterbal. Dessert was a lot of chocolate and nothing homemade. Everything was put on the table without any explanation and there was little request for drinks in between.

Yes, €3.20 for coffee and apple pie (from the freezer) with whipped cream (from a spray can) €6.20!! WHAT ! I knew they weren't cheap, but this...Last time we were there

It is mainly the location that makes it, the rest I find disappointing. I quite like the decor, but some things are a bit cheaply finished, such as the toilets and tables. I think the staff seems a bit arrogant and not very friendly. I don't really like the food and drinks I tried, even though they are pricey. If you go for a luxurious look, which they clearly seem to be going for, then I also expect such quality products, furniture, toilets, etc. and I miss that price-quality ratio. They organize many different activities and dinner options, which looks fun.

In October we organized our wedding in this restaurant. We chose this restaurant because of its great location and nice decor. We thought that meetings and arrangements for the event were just a formality. Unfortunately, the arrangements were fiction because most of the situations that occurred made us realize that only money counts and not our wedding. First of all, we decided to decorate the wedding hall ourselves because I wanted to do it more elegantly. We were informed that we could start preparations the day before at 1 p.m., but each of us works and we arrived at the restaurant around 6 and at 9:40 p.m. we were informed that we had to finish because they wanted to go home. We begged for an hour longer and ran like crazy but we still had to change our plans for the next day to finish preparations. In response, we heard that we could ask earlier what time we could decorate. On the day of the wedding we did not know how long it would take to digest the wedding vows and the time was more or less specified. It turned out that the staff had not prepared anything, not even plates. They started an hour after the ceremony. When we finally managed to sit down at the table, they started taking orders for drinks, where it was agreed and paid for that everything, including unlimited alcohol, would be set on the table. And at 11 p.m. our guests were informed that there was no sweet wine and Wisky. Where unlimited was paid until 1 a.m. Also, several guests pointed out to the waitresses that they were given dirty cutlery. Also, one chair for a small child was agreed in advance, and we had to ask for over an hour to bring it. Additionally, we bought a double dinner so that the tables were full, and it turned out that the waitresses, while the guests were having fun, took them away from the tables at 9 p.m. and most of the guests did not even eat it. In the end, we received a packed dinner for over 40 guests. Also, when we asked for our cake to be served, the waitress was surprised what kind of cake? They did not even know they had it in the fridge. Also, the first dinner was to be served at 4:15 p.m. and the children received their first meal after 6 p.m. After the wedding, we wrote an email about these situations, but the manager stated that the guests were happy. We are disappointed with the lack of responsibility from the staff and this huge ignorance on their part. I am sorry but I do not recommend this restaurant.

No warm welcome on arrival, staff walked back and forth behind the bar with a grumpy bartender. After waiting for a while, someone from the wait staff was arrested. Food was fine, after waiting half an hour I asked for the menu cards, it took a long time before they were served, 2 desserts that were on the menu could not be delivered.

Unfortunately, we were treated very rudely this evening by someone from the ministry. We had made reservations for three people to have dinner in honor of my mother's birthday. After we ordered drinks, we were not given a menu and I grabbed three menus myself. The employee assigned to our table snidely commented, "are you in a hurry?" to which I replied 'no', and the employee then also added: "Shall I also bring the computer to you? Then you can enter the order yourself!". I was not at all pleased with this and made this known to him, after which he indicated that his response was indeed unnecessary. After this, my wife was breastfeeding, and the employee came by to make it clear that this was not allowed. I asked him why he doesn't come up with a solution and change his tone after the above conversation. He did not answer this. The atmosphere was ruined and we left. Now all restaurants are fully booked and we can no longer eat out. Although we did get the drinks and sandwich waived, it didn't feel like a solution at all, because we didn't even get an apology.

Very bad, atmosphere and appearance super nice! but how long we had to wait for 1 beer was not normal. We waited at least 1 hour for our food and then 1.5 hours for 1 beer. We approached someone 4 times to ask about this: I will take a look for you and then come and bring it to you. Maybe we were in the wrong place? or just bad luck but it was dramatic…. Then we come home and look at the receipt (our mistake that we only looked at home) that we paid 47 euros too much. I called the restaurant 4 times and each time they did not answer (too busy so voicemail). After this I sent an email, automatic email back stating that response would take a little longer due to crowds. well now 2 months later and still no response! Very bad that there is simply no response. The fact that it is busy and takes a little longer than can happen and in principle does not matter, but the fact that nothing is done about it and no response is really bad for such a "luxury" tent. Would have appreciated a response or a call.

Slechte ervaring, ik ben gek op tiramisu maar deze was echt niet lekker. Bevroren en smaakte niet goed, eerlijkheid gebiedt te zeggen dat ik wel iets anders mocht kiezen maar dat wilde ik niet. De tiramisu stond wel op de rekening en dat vind ik niet okee. Kwaliteit vs prijs is niet in orde
