What a nice "old-fashioned" place. Super friendly and welcoming service.

The poffertjes were delicious, the staff very friendly and fast. And what a super tasty cappuccino, highly recommended!

I had high expectations; surely a business that has been around for 90 years must have good stuff, you would say. The interior is authentic, which could add extra atmosphere, but it could also be described as neglected. The poffertjes, 16 pieces for 7.50, certainly not cheap. We were the only customers inside, but they didn't start on the order right away; making drinks for yourself and a colleague first seemed more important. We're not in a rush, I thought. Once we received the poffertjes, we were a huge disappointment! Is this whole wheat batter? Not tasty at all and unfortunately far below expectations. Surely a poffertje originally doesn't have whole wheat batter/flavor? Definitely not worth repeating.

Poffertjes are served until 6:00 PM. Unfortunately, it is no longer possible after that; I came here specifically for them.

While I look at the menu, there is a couple who are also curious about what is on offer. I go inside because I don't know whether to order there or at a table. Eventually, I order at a table and wait half an hour for poffertjes that can be fried in 10 minutes, while the couple is already almost finished. Just before the poffertjes are brought, the couple switches seats, and I see empty plates. Then the poffertjes arrive, warm and with butter and powdered sugar. But with the first bite, I realize that these are crispy poffertjes. See photos. The butter is in the middle, underneath the poffertjes, and the sugar is all over the plate. Maybe I should have left after all. The toilet was clean and tidy, at least.

We came here on the recommendation of our Dutch neighbors, who lived in Dordrecht years ago and were regulars. We were not disappointed in the slightest and can highly recommend the poffertjes. We ordered them with liqueur and with Advocaat (a type of Dutch sausage). The staff was also very friendly and gave us great advice! Thank you for this wonderful experience!

On August 11th, three of us ate poffertjes here. We had eaten delicious poffertjes at their stall at Dordt in Stoom, so we thought we'd do it again in the restaurant. Unfortunately, the poffertjes were inedible; they tasted like whole wheat. We left half of them uneaten. We did mention it to the wait staff, who told us the batter had been sitting for a bit too long. But a little later she said they always have the same taste anyway… well, yuck. Unfortunately, no leniency and we had to pay the full price. Oh well… I don't think we'll be giving them a second chance.

We thought, a poffertjes shop that has been around since 1932 can't be bad. Apart from one other table of three, we were the only guests on the terrace. When we ordered our poffertjes, it took well over 20 minutes before the lady behind the griddle started preparing our order. (We didn't see her again after that). The quality was very poor. The poffertjes had little flavor and were very dry and crispy.

Cool spot in old Dordrecht. Classic poffertjes, but also food and drinks for young and old. Superb team. Must go.

Waited half an hour for the mini pancakes, and when they still hadn't arrived, they indicated that they gave priority to large groups (without children). I find that to be pretty poor service.

Vissers Poffertjes in Dordrecht is an absolute gem. The staff are genuinely friendly, welcoming, and very good at what they do. The poffertjes with butter and powdered sugar are generous, fluffy, and seriously delicious. No fuss, no pretension, just simple food done properly. The kind of place that reminds you how satisfying honest comfort food can be. Definitely worth a visit.

What a great place! My son performed with his band. So we had pancakes. They were delicious! A beer, an informal atmosphere, and some music. It was a fantastic afternoon! Advice: make a reservation. And parking can be a bit of a challenge.

It's great that this place is still around. Nostalgia combined with a traditional Dutch café atmosphere. And of course, the inimitable poffertjes (pancakes).

After a long time, I had poffertjes here again. While they used to be the best in the Drechtsteden region, this time they were a huge disappointment. The poffertjes weren't cooked through and had been heated up too quickly, making them crispy. It also seemed like the ventilation/extractor wasn't working, creating a rather strong odor. Incidentally, I hadn't noticed at the time that the poffertjes table had probably been cleaned a while ago. Had I noticed this earlier, I probably would have walked on. Such a shame.

Worst mini pancakes ever. Almost burnt on the outside, undercooked on the inside. After I commented on it, nothing more was said about it.

Been coming here since I was a kid, really good poffertjes,,,,unfortunately the last few years they've been less and less, today was really the last time I'll come here. I asked for extra sugar but didn't get it, while I was still drinking my tea the table was already being cleaned by a very grumpy girl, the boy with the curls is super nice, the rest is mediocre, the new owner probably has too many businesses under his belt, well-meaning, he's left the business the same. Too bad.

A reasonably cozy place, but the poffertjes were rather disappointing. Some were almost burnt, and we immediately detected a whole-wheat flavor in the poffertjes. They weren't awful, but they didn't taste like what we're used to. It's a shame, but we won't be back.

We stopped here for a quick snack on our Viking river cruise excursion which was so wonderful! The staff were super friendly and helpful. They showed us how the Poffertjes were made and offered great coffee and other drinks! The “ pancake” were very tasty and not too sweet which my wife who doesn’t like sweets enjoy the very much!

When in Dordrecht, you should visit this old and traditional pub! We wanted to eat poffertjes and they are traditionally made here which is great. They use buckwheatflour for the dough which is a healthier and better flour and also suitible for a glutenfree lifestyle. The service was a bit so-so, but probably typical for a pub. In general a good portion for a fair price with lots of butter and sugar! :)

Yesterday we went to Pim's for poffertjes again, as we've done regularly since 1999. At first, we thought there wasn't enough sugar because the taste was very strange. We took a closer look and found out they use a completely different, dark batter. Fortunately, our neighbors agreed. When we paid, we mentioned that the changed recipe was a shame because it no longer tasted like Pim's poffertjes we've been used to for years. They insisted high and low that this recipe has been used for many years and that nothing has changed. It's a shame you refuse to admit the taste has changed and are open to positive criticism. Just keep believing in yourself. Having eaten poffertjes there every time, we know better. Luckily, there's another poffertjes place nearby.

Recently visited with my family, we’ve been visiting this exact restaurant for generations. My dad is from the area but we live in England. Coming here was always a highlight of our holiday. Unfortunately I don’t think I will be returning. The food was delicious, the service was shocking. We were told we’d ’have to wait a long time for food because everyone else had to eat first’ which I kind of the deal with a restaurant right? Then we moved outside just before our food was bought out as the restaurant must have been about 40 degrees Celsius, there were no outside tables available until this point and my 3 month old was really struggling inside. This was a massive issue, so much tutting and eye rolling because the table needed to be cleared. Such a shame as they really are the best poffertjes around!

We stopped here by chance and tried the poffertjes. The best I've ever tasted. Highly recommended and unique. If you're passing through Dordrecht, it's worth a stop.

Ok poffertjes. Not special, but not bad either. The service, on the other hand, left something to be desired: We still had 1.5 tokens left at Lepeltje Lepeltje where they were, so I ordered a portion of poffertjes for 1 token (8 pieces, for 1 token at 3.50). I asked if he could give my two children an extra poffertje, for the half token I still had. Just to eat out of hand. Unfortunately, that was impossible for the man who was still filling the containers behind the counter and who could have done this very easily. I know that it was not an obligation for him, after all, he did not sell half containers. On the other hand, 2 poffertjes for half a token was not like I was trying to rip him off, but even double payment. I simply asked for a little bit of well-paid service. And he chose not to provide that service. He is free to do so. Just as I am free to post this review. In my opinion, these kinds of things are the difference between batter bakers with an OK product, or a good restaurant where you like to come back. If I go to eat poffertjes with the children in the future, I will do so at the other poffertjes shop (P. P.) in Dordrecht. Not because I am so angry about it, but if 2 shops offer the same product, why would I go to the shop that was not so service-oriented? By the way, that review is not out of anger, because I left the half tokens with him - even though I didn't get anything for them -, but just an honest feeling: good food, shame about the service.

This business has been around for over 90 years. In addition to poffertjes with different flavors, you can also order toasted sandwiches, ball sandwiches and more. The coffee tastes good too. Friendly staff and a cozy old-fashioned atmosphere.

Poffertjes were crispy, which they should not be and very greasy. As soon as I got home I had to throw up. Like a block in your stomach.

I wanted to show a friend the famous Dutch poffertjes. Unfortunately, these were dry and crispy, not at all like what I'm used to eat. None of us could finish the plate, they were simply not good.

Personally, I don't know any poffertjes restaurant that has been around as long as this one. History shines through. The interior is authentic, perhaps even a bit too authentic, but on the other hand it fits the appearance very well. The service is friendly, but when we were there it all took quite a while. It must be said that it was also quite busy at that time. The poffertjes were also fine. I've had better ones before and I especially have the feeling that they had been sitting for a while before they were served. But otherwise nothing wrong with this room. Good enough to visit with or without (small) children for the traditional Dutch poffertjes.

Vonden deze plek op onze doortocht door Dordrecht naar het huis van Gijn. Bij onze eerste stop had men niet meteen poffertjes klaar om mee te geven, maar raadde men ons aan later terug te keren. Bij onze terugkeer van het Huis van Gijn werden speciaal voor ons poffertjes klaargemaakt (om mee te nemen). Vandaar een dikke pluim voor vriendelijkheid. Bovendien waren de poffertjes heerlijk. Een adresje om terug te keren.

This has almost become a true place of pilgrimage for many people from Dordrecht and the surrounding area. Perhaps not always the tastiest poffertjes ever made, but that depends a bit on who is behind the stove.

Poffertjes made with buckwheat flour, terrible! We will never eat poffertjes here again. They lay like blocks of concrete in our stomachs. Why can't you choose between regular flour or buckwheat flour?

Last summer we had some really tasty poffertjes here. Now back together with the children; I was highly praised for the poffers, but unfortunately that was (literally) disappointing. When serving we already smelled a strange smell. After tasting the first pancake I thought "what am I actually tasting?" It was so nothing like last time. The poffertjes had a whole wheat, "dark" taste and that's how they looked on the inside. We didn't finish everything and indicated it at checkout, but they said this recipe had been used for years. I just can't believe it and I think it's a real shame, because we won't be coming back now. And when I read other reviews, it appears that more people have had this experience recently. Shame.

Has the owner changed? I have come here for poffertjes in the past. Detoured from Brabant! But the last time, damn. What a disappointment. Tasteless and dirty.

Not friendly staff -> little patience! I had said that there were still people going to the toilet and asked to wait a while, but that was not possible. Poffertjes were not GREAT! I've had better ones before, way too much icing sugar, some were baked too far, some weren't and a few tasted like yeast... Tables were not cleared or clean!

Came here 60 years ago to eat delicious poffertjes. Now a complete disaster. Dry poffertjes are not worthy of the name poffers. I think it's also whole wheat, not risen, so not puffed. How this is possible is beyond me. For decades it was great now nothing. Service, great atmosphere too. But damn, never again.

What a disappointment. When we entered, we didn't really get a warm welcome. Ladies not cheerful or friendly. Young man did his best. Toasti (white) fine, brown dry. Poffertjes took a very long time. Also came in multiple parts. The lady who made the poffertjes was away for a while when we went to look, our poffertjes were on the plate. Were ready a long time ago. 0.0 service. Shame. Never again for us and no positive word of mouth advertising.

After years of hearing that fishermen have the tastiest poffertjes in the world, today I finally went with my family. What a disappointment. Poffertjes tasted of nothing and were very dry. I also didn't taste or smell the cinnamon in the sugar. The place is also not very attractive. Well, unfortunately once and never again for us.

I have been back to Visser's poffertjes parlor for a long time now. Delicious cappuccino and a Rochefort 8 as a second course. Also met some old friends, in short, this place has lost none of its old magic.

Helaas een slechte ervaring bij deze poffertjes tent waar ik wel vaker ben geweest. Je komt binnen, de zaak zit vol en volgens de bediening is er geen plaats. Daarom wilden ik een bestelling to go plaatsen voor de kids op de Dordt pas, maar dan kon niet gezien de drukte; wachten was ook geen optie. Wordt je de deur gewezen en klanten die daarna naar binnen komen krijgen wel een plaatsje. Niet echt de manier van werken lijkt mij, waarschijnlijk helpen ze alleen “echte” klanten. Zag de vrouw achter de poffertjes plaat nog lachen en napraten met de bediening; echt: leer klantvriendelijk te zijn.

Gezellig ouderwets poffertjes eten!

Prima poffertjes voor een leuke prijs. Sfeervol zaakje. Op gegeven moment kregen we alle mensen om ons heen hun poffertjes en wij hadden nog niks gekregen, de eerste x antwoordde de serveerder dat het erg druk was en dat de poffertjes er aan kwamen. Eén kwartier later hadden we nog niks ontvangen en vroegen we nogmaals aan de serveerder of ze misschien onze poffertjes vergeten zijn? Dit was inderdaad het geval. Prima opgelost door een gratis extra portie mee te geven.

Poffertjes gegeten op een dag dat het niet heel druk was. Het duurde vrij lang voordat we een tafeltje kregen. Bestelling en drinken duurde ook lang. Poffertjes waren warm en lekker. Personeel vriendelijk. Vloer was wel heel plakkerig overal. Niet zo heel schoon dus.

Helaas ben ik het eens met een aantal van de minder positieve reviews. De poffertjes hebben inderdaad een soort korrelige Volkoren structuur en weinig/aparte smaak. Het restaurant zelf oogt nogal donker en afgeleefd, alsof het een bruine kroeg is. Ik heb best wel wat poffertjes op door de jaren, maar deze waren by far de minst lekkere.

Volgens mij waren het volkoren poffertjes. Smaakte mij meer naar een kleffe/natte lichtbruine boterham. Niet voor herhaling vatbaar
