V.O.F. De Woeste Hoogte in Wijk 01

After years, I was back at this traditional Dutch restaurant, this time for coffee and apple pie. The terrace is lovely, overlooking Broekerhaven harbor. Inside, it's pleasantly bustling with several seating areas.

Just had a nice fried egg sandwich, nothing wrong with it. And I didn't see an unpleasant old lady, just friendly people. Nice terrace.

A really nice beach bar with delicious food and drinks, and very friendly service.

Good food, generous portions with vegetables and fried potatoes. The schnitzel was more than enough. The satay was a bit smaller. Everything was delicious, though.

The food is delicious, especially the beef liver. We always feel right at home.

For a steak for €28.50 you expect a slightly larger piece, but if you ask me the price is way too high anyway. I have to say that the steak was 'just tasty' and the side dishes were also just nice and Dutch. Price-quality should be better. For 6 euros for a special beer I don't order two... I'm not on Dam Square here. Service deserves all the credits. Very nice ladies!

The location and the decor are nice, but the food is really bad. Had fried mussels with fries. But the mussels were very dry and crumbly. As were the Flemish fries. Had to pay 23 euros for this! Very unfortunate.

Had lunch. It's okay, not super special but normal. But what an awkward lady, who is already a bit old, walks in the service.

The older waitress could do something about her genuine friendliness. And Vegan food has no eggs or fish, ma'am. Teaching moment. The chef handled it well. The young service was good and friendly. Price quality was good.

A nice place, right on the expressway, but that's the only reason we used it for a short time. Very nicely equipped and right on a small harbor. The staff were very friendly, cakes and waffles were very tasty. The prices are actually typical in the Netherlands, but still within reason. For 3x Chocomel, 1x Latte, 1x Texelse Skumkoppje, 1x apple cake and 3x waffles with fruit for €42

Kwaliteit prijs verhouding niet best. De rekening klopte niet (dubbel gerekend). Jonge bediening zeer vriendelijk. Oudere bediende vrouw niet gastvrij (nors). Was voor ons de laatste keer. Doe uw voordeel ermee.

When you drive past you don't see how nice it is there. It's really worth stopping there and you will be welcomed with open arms.

We had a delicious meal here. The young lady who helped us was friendly and welcoming. There was also a young man but he still has to learn a few things to work in the hospitality sector. But I think he was still very young.

The asparagus soup was thick and mealy, the spoon almost stood upright in it and not warm enough for a soup dish. Then I was asked if I wanted baguette with the soup. Yes, because that is standard at almost every restaurant... not here, 1 euro per slice! So baguette x4, it made the whole thing an overpriced bowl of soup even though it did contain real pieces of asparagus.

Nice place to get off the road and have lunch. Behind it a beautiful harbor. Please take the time to look.

Delicious food and a lovely hostess.

Definitely a place where you can enjoy the menu well and deliciously. Just go by if you drive past, we have often driven past without stopping. Highly recommended.

Didn't know what to expect, went in for a cup of coffee and a sandwich... I have to say, you rarely have such cheerful and cheerful staff. Definitely eat here again

Gezellig familie restaurant met Hollandse kaart. Wij hebben heerlijk gegeten met kinderen en kleinkinderen in dit informele restaurant waar kinderen kunnen rondlopen en kunnen spelen in de speelhoek, er nog groente geserveerd wordt bij de gerechten. Echt fantastische avond gehad.

Mooie plaats om te eten. Lekkere lunch gehad. Mooi van binnen en gezellig versierd voor de kerst. En voor het mooie weer een heerlijk terras. Vriendelijk personeel. Een aanrader.

Afgelopen zondag tijdens een rondrit (Koggenroute) met ons Kia Cruisers Nederland-groep een tussenstop gemaakt bij De Woeste Hoogte. Met 17 personen en 1 kind heerlijk gegeten, goede service, vriendelijk personeel en parkeerplaats voor de deur. Kortom heerlijk genoten. Toppertjes daar, ga zo verder. Zeker voor herhaling vatbaar.

Leuk familie restaurant, met lekker eten. Bij het hoofdgerecht krijg je heerlijke gebakken aardappels, friet, appelmoes, rabarber moes, stoofpeer en sperziebonen. Voor dessert is de warme appeltaart zeker een aanrader.

Werden niet leuk ontvangen, de serveerster kwam niet vriendelijk over.

We hebben geluncht bij de woeste hoogte. Ik had een woeste hoogte uitsmijter. 3 sneetjes brood met ham, 3 eieren afgebakken met spek. Heerlijk. De eerste foto is een 100 jaar oude overhaal, een lift om boten van het binnenwater naar het IJsselmeer water te verplaatsen, vanaf het terras ye zien.

Super leuke tent. Lekker gastvrij en heerlijk eten. Was er afgelopen woensdag voor het eerst samen met mijn moeder. Komen zeker nog eens terug. Super gezellige bediening.

Heerlijk op het terras gezeten en gegeten. Gemoedelijke huissfeer. We hadden gereserveerd en werden zeer vriendelijk ontvangen. Complimenten 100% waard!!!

Ik heb de negatieve reviews van andere gasten gelezen en ik vind het jammer dat er mensen zijn die geen goede ervaring hebben. Wij waren met 7 personen, we hebben heerlijk gegeten en de bediening was super vriendelijk. Toegegeven, de prijs is aan de hoge kant, maar we weten allemaal dat de horeca het moeilijk heeft. Ik kan niet anders zeggen dan dat we een zeer geslaagde avond hebben gehad.

Kwam hier jaren terug vaak met groepen voor lunch (koffietafel). Nu na jaren alleen voor een cappuccino. Heerlijk en ze (her)kenden me nog.

We hebben hier heerlijk gegeten. Ook voor vegatarische mensen zoals wij hadden ze heerlijke quiche.

Bonjour à toutes et à tous ! Restaurant vraiment incroyable. Tout ce qu'on y sert est un régal et le personnel vraiment très sympathique. Vous ne devriez pas passer dans le coin sans aller y faire un tour !

Ein tolles Restaurant unter Bäumen

Heerlijk een salade gegeten met verse vis. Komen zeker terug. Zijn er later weer geweest en moesten toen vreselijk lang wachten op het hoofdgerecht toen een groep motorrijders na ons kwam en eerst werden geholpen. Ze boden netjes excuus aan, maar was een hele nare ervaring.

Wow. A beautiful place! It's like a little cottage/pub on the water! You walk down a little hill and you see big boats, and beautiful houses, it's like a mini Dutch village hidden away behind a busy road. 😍 Drinks and service was 10/10 I will be going back soon!!!!

Geweldig restaurant lekker eten

Carpaccio nog bevroren tornado door gebakken Ipv medium rare zoals besteld. De afhandeling nog veel triester. De eigenaresse kwam wel even melden dat de tornado helemaal niet door gebakken was dus ze bleef er wel even bij staan of het nieuwe stuk vlees wel goed genoeg was! Schandalig. 160,- euro kwijt voor een diner wat niet eens eetcafé waardig is … eigenaresse er op aan gesproken hoe stijlloos de actie was en dan nog hoog laag gaan springen dat ze dat niet heeft gezegd/gedaan. Dikke afrader … FEBO is nog beter

Het is een prima plek om te verblijven voor een eetcafé, want dat is wat het is. De prijzen daar en tegen zijn absoluut geen eetcafé prijzen. Echt schandalig om dit soort bedragen te vragen voor hetgeen wat je krijgt. 2 slibtongetjes, € 26,50. Ham met meloen € 13,75, al het eten niet op hoog niveau, middelmatig. Met dit soort bedragen verwacht je toch echt wel heel wat meer. Nu verlieten we het pand met totaal geen goed gevoel. Tip voor de eigenaar: verlaag je prijzen drastisch. Heel erg jammer, eens maar echt nooit meer.

Ik ben hier al honderd keer langsgereden en werd uitgenodigd om hier mee naartoe te gaan. We werden niet heel hartelijk ontvangen maar gelukkig kregen we in de loop van de avond wel vriendelijke dames. Ik had als voorafje toast met Champignons, effe serieus hoe durf je voor 10 euro 1 geroosterd broodje met 3 gebakken champignons te serveren!!!! En waarom krijg je geen stukje brood als je soep besteld. Als hoofd had ik het vispannetje. Eigenlijk waren het twee soorten vis, witvis en zalm in een soort ragoutsausje. Die verpeste de hele smaak. Of ms is het wel de bedoeling dat je de vis niet proeft. Wat ze wel goed doen is wat ze bij het hoofdgerecht erbij serveren en dat ze dat ook aanvullen als het op is. Maar als ik ze een tip mag geven..doe gewoon het sfeerlicht aan in de serre en wees wat vriendelijker voor je gasten. En als laatste doe wat aan je prijzen of lever er betere producten voor. Jullie zijn geen high class dining restaurant maar gewoon een dorpsrestaurant.
