The food was delicious, and the service was really friendly and attentive. It took us forever because we had to translate the menu first, and we also asked for the pancakes we ordered to be weighed because our daughter has diabetes and we needed to calculate her carbs. Everything was no problem at all, and we received active assistance. Absolutely fantastic! P.S. The photo isn't that great, but we had the most amazing salad!

Yes, good food here. The name makes you think of a coffee house with sandwiches, meatballs or frikandellen. Nothing could be further from the truth! Delicious fresh, homemade, vegetarian and organic lunch dishes. Will definitely come back here.

Yesterday we celebrated our wedding with a small group at Volkshuis in Deventer, and it was perfect! The atmosphere was quiet, so we really had time to enjoy ourselves. What made us extra happy was the accessibility: my mother, who uses an electric wheelchair, was able to enter and sit at the table without any problems. The room is spacious and the toilet was also easily accessible. We enjoyed delicious pastries and a tasty lunch, and the service was wonderful—friendly, helpful, and attentive. Thanks to them everything felt relaxed and smooth. It was a special day that we will not soon forget. Thanks to the Volkshuis Deventer team for the great experience! Definitely recommended.

My personal impression here. Wonderful little restaurant good too Contained but quiet. The food and service deserve 6 stars. The ambience for me 7. It's small, clean, uncomfortable, a mix of old rustic and slightly new, I'm looking forward to the next visit

Discovered this establishment today. Deventer continues to surprise in that regard! Enjoyed a tasty and healthy soup with parsnips and apple, served (under the watchful eye of the chef) with very tasty bread and kale tapenade with pine nuts. Well, there's a first time for everything, but this is certainly not the last time... 😊

Wat een gezellige plek in hartje Deventer en heerlijk eten. Ik at een goede vegetarische Moestuin Tosti, wat een origineel gerecht en ze gebruiken groenten uit eigen tuin. Wat een aardige en gastvrije mensen werken hier. Gewoon TOP!

Als we een dagje Deventer doen, slaan we dit nooit over. Het is een rustige omgeving, gezellige binnentuin met heel vriendelijke bediening. Alles is vegetarisch, ingrediënten uit eigen tuin, de gerechten zijn verrassend en heel lekker. De appeltaart kun je niet overslaan, en de oesterzwam kroketten staan nu ook hoog op onze lijst. De bediening is super lief. Ga gewoon een keer kijken en geniet van deze ontspannende omgeving.

What a heartwarming experience! This beautiful place has amazing food and so very kind people working here. We had a table in the sun and I enjoyed a wonderful homemade kombucha and the quesadilla with jackfruit and cheese. What a lovely place to give people with a mental handicap a place to work. The food is amazing, but the kombucha really stole the show. I had a second one 🤐😍

Awesome experience. Our dog got fresh water without us even having to ask for it and even a small treat! We searched for a vegan restaurant and liked what we read outside, and in the end we got the vegan pancakes, a soup and a piece of the vegan & gluten-free "bounty cake", and two coffees with oat milk. We were really surprised by the combinations, i.e. the lentil pancakes had rhubarb, arugula and a delicious cream that I can't really identify on top of them. Such a yummy experience, we would definitely visit again if it wasn't for the distance! The servers were super lovely too.

We spent a day in Deventer; we were told it was a town worth visiting and so we did. We ended up having a lunch at this place. We ordered a Club Sandwich and two lemonades. We really enjoyed it, so we order another drink a broodolank and a piece of cake. Evething was very tasty, natural and well cooked. We really enjoyed this place. The staff was very kind and gave us good advice about what was best to try. Finally, it was not expensive at all; we paid 30,90.

Acquazzone improvviso, non si sa dove andare e l'idea di rifocillarci in un fast-food non ci piace molto. Ad un certo punto metto gli occhi sul Volkshuis, entriamo e veniamo accolti da un bel ragazzo simpatico che ci chiede come mai avessimo i calzoni corti con quel tempo (🤣). Ci sediamo e ordiniamo un tè caldo, dei toast con uova e un'ottima torta alle mele. Mi è piaciuto molto lo stile del locale e la scelta di farci lavorare all'interno persone davvero speciali 💜

Wat hebben we hier lekker geluncht, met een salade met geitenkaasje, heerlijk warme broodjes en een puntzak biofriet. Toe goede koffie met glutenvrije appeltaart. Alles van uitstekende zelfgemaakte kwaliteit en een bediening met een grote glimlach. Echt top!

Gezellig lunch of iets drinken, dit is een mooie gelegenheid, ook voor kinderen is er een speelhoek!

We hadden een dagje Deventer gepland. we wilde wat gaan eten daarom voor de Volkstuin gekozen. Het was netjes en lekker. Toen het eten besteld was zijn we een spel gaan doen, Super leuk.
