After 25/30 minutes, we received a “tosti” that was made out of the poorest quality of bread possible (I wouldn’t even call it bread), with a little bit of ham and cheese. It tasted bad and doesn’t feel good in the belly neither afterwards. This costed a scandalous €10,95 per tosti! Disappointing is an understatement… And of course the pictures on their site look great, but let me give you a picture of the type of bread they actually give you. You’ll get two tiny triangles of this “bread” with some poor fillings. If you want a really good tosti, that is worth the price, go to Bomboca! They make delicious tostis with unique ingredients and fair prices!

Had a lovely lunch with the kids. Toasts were a hit. Pleasant staff, thinking along and took away super tasty pastries.

Found Walt by accident on arrival in Arnhem but we are very happy to have discovered it! Delicious coffee and amazing brunch sandwiches. Lovely friendly service and the waitress was very helpful translating the menu and recommending her favourites. We sat outside and it was a great spot. No smoking too which we definitely prefer. Great find and we’ll probably head there again during our stay.

Rarely good. Service is helpful and fast. Food is exceptionally good and generously topped. BLT with chicken is definitely recommended. Enough choice on the menu and a nice atmosphere inside. I went twice in the three days I was in Arnhem.

Heerlijk bij Walt aan de leestafel gezeten en genoten van een lekkere lunch. Deze keer gekozen voor de luxe tosti, kopje Earl Grey en natuurlijk de vers geperste sinaasappelsap.

Gezellige sfeer, lekker eten en drinken en super vriendelijk personeel. We hebben een tosti gegeten met een kopje koffie en thee. Heel vriendelijk geholpen en rustig genoeg. Een echte aanrader als je in Arnhem bent en niet op een super drukke plek wil lunchen.

Walt, the place in Arnhem where you can drink really good coffee and eat the most delicious cakes to go with that really good coffee. All ways are possible with the coffee. I like to drink a vanilla latte here but then with decaf coffee and preferably oat milk, this is all possible. Their vanilla bourbon syrup is 🤤 My partner drank a cortado here and it was also delicious. Inside the atmosphere is very cozy and the hospitality is high.

The lemon meringue pie is really ultimately delicious!

I love their menu! Had their cappuccino it was nice, yet to try the tumeric latte. I felt somewhat nostalgic inside the cafe, there are cool corners where its perfect to chill and read a good book or finish up an assignment. Overall very cool ambience

I had a tuna melt sandwich and a coffee which was delicious. Their cake offer seemed more "standard" so didn't try it. Service was friendly and forthcoming

Do you also recognize that, you are dating and therefore oops your breakfast doesn't start until 1630 and then it is nice if there are things like Walt. It is a small and cozy place and I would say take a look at the interior design. There is actually just too little space, although of course it also has to do with square meters. Ultimately it's all about food and excellent hospitality. I started my day with country bread, tomato and avocado and the other person thought, let's be crazy and cake is also great. The country bread was effective and tasty, although I missed some salt and pepper. The millionaire's shortbread, on the other hand, was received with much cheering, although the ratio of chocolate and biscuit can be taken into account. Finally, we found the chocolate milk to be creamy and well-flavored and a big plus with firm and home-whipped whipped cream. The downside was that the wrong coke was served, but this was quickly replaced. At the last minute I took two more pieces of cake with me and this was not a bad choice. The waiter recommended the red velvet to me and it was really good and the meringue pie was also delicious. Price-quality was reasonable at €35, after all, quality costs money. To help people on their way, from now on a legend: Stars 1. Run run run, before it's too late. 2. Weak to moderate. You would be better off spending your money elsewhere and the experience will also be disappointing. 3. On the right track, but there are major bumps in terms of quality and/or hospitality. 4. Yes I want to see. There is room for improvement, but I would definitely come back. 5. Yes, this is what I want to see, experience and recommend that you take a detour.

Absolutely fantastic place! The sandwiches and bread are super fresh and delicious. The coffee is excellent, and the cozy atmosphere makes it perfect for a relaxing break. On top of that, the service is incredibly friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended!

The food is tasty, the atmosphere is good and the people are nice. What was strange was that at 9:00 in the morning, when we wanted to have breakfast, there was a banana bread in the oven, so no one could get a chroissant. In addition, my order, the breakfast with ham, was first brought with cheese. Shame.

This is a 10/10 place in Arnhem, Great food, people and service. Self-made everything, this place is delicious and their holiday buffets are amazing. Very wholesome place combined with a lot of luxury.

A nice place with top service! Good coffee and delicious treats. Walt was just completely decorated for Christmas. The toilet was also great, there was deodorant, sanitary towels and it was spotless.

First time in this cool small café in the middle of Arnhem city center. Atmosphere inside is amazing, very cozy place drink coffee or tea (and they have lots of different types of tea). Food is delicious and staff is very pleasant! We will definitely come back!

Completely lives up to expectations.

A friend wanted to eat a cake here with a drink. I must honestly say that when I arrived I didn't think it looked very attractive from the outside from the shopping street. The terrace looked a bit simple and without atmosphere. Coincidentally, we met a mutual friend opposite on the terrace who told us that the cakes at Walt's are very good. That convinced me anyway, but when I got closer and had a look inside, I saw that it was nicely decorated inside and had a nice atmosphere. So we decided to have a cake there after all. I had a chocolate ganache cake and my friend a kind of butter cake. The taste was fine, but not extremely special. Maybe I came in with too high expectations because of that friend. We then shared a piece of tiramisu together and even though I'm not really a fan of tiramisu, I really liked it too. The service is very cheerful and nice. They also have funny, professional-looking aprons on which makes it complete. There are books all around you and there are also games. There are also newspapers and Donald Ducks on the tables, so you could also sit there alone. I would like to come back again to try the other cakes. I must say that we were sitting next to a door to what I think was the storage room, someone walked in and out a hundred times and that door also made quite a noise so I found that irritating. I would sit far away from that next time. Legend: 1) Terrible! I don't recommend it, I will never come back! 2) Too bad, below my expectations, I won't come again. 3) Ok, nothing wrong with that, but nothing special, nice for once. 4) Fine, worth coming back. 5) Excellent! I recommend, I will definitely come back!

You pay a bit more here, not cheap but very good! The coffee is always spot on, whatever you order. The staff gets it too. Compact menu, various dishes and known for their good pastries. What appeals to me is that it is not such an influencer magnet with far-fetched drinks, for example, if you watch videos with the sound on, you have to treat yourself. Love it.

Disappointed by the total lack of regular customer oriented attitude. I was served with a ridiculous size babyccino and charged 1,90 euro. Despite the best espresso in town (I told everyone I could in last 5 years), I hope Walt will reconsider its crazy price for a warm milk with espresso size. For the price of 2 l’itera of milk.

Eerste review lijkt hier niet zichtbaar van ongeveer een jaar geleden. Nu pas weer hierheen geweest. Nou, we hebben ons helemaal rond (er) gegeten. Overheerlijke gerechten. En de drankjes ook! De kinderen hebben enorm gesmuld. Bescheidenheid siert de mens en dat vind ik hier terugkomen. Wat een topplek met bijzonder aanbod hier. We komen graag snel weer terug. Het is ons de moeite waard geweest om wat meer geld uit te geven. Hier hebben we absoluut geen spijt van gehad. We hebben enorm genoten. Jammer dat de eigenaar er niet was. Dan hadden we hem persoonlijk weer even bedankt! De mensen die er werkten waren allemaal heel vriendelijk. Uiteindelijk nog een zak thee gekocht, prijzig maar ik geniet er echt van! Dank allemaal!

This has got to be one of the best (if not the best) espresso bars/cafes in the entirety of the Netherlands. I frequent this place, so I might be a tad biased, but I have never had a single complaint about Walt. Although a handful of items on their menu might be on the more expensive side for some, the consistent high quality of service, their delectable beverages, and the homey atmosphere more than make up for that. If you're in town, and you have the time and money, I urge you to pay this place a visit. There's a reason I'm a regular after all!

Heeeerlijke tent. Je kan er prima zitten om te studeren of om bij te kletsen. De kwaliteit van de koffie en het eten is mega goed. Ook het personeel is heel vriendelijk. Het lijkt een hele decadente zaak, maar het personeel doet heel gewoon tegen je. En dat is heel fijn. Zeker een aanrader!!

Ik ben best een espresso-snob en stuur gerust een espresso terug als ik het niet goed vind. Bij Walt is ie al jaren perfect. In de jaren daarvoor (toen jullie nog geen Walt heetten) overigens ook! Al heel lang mijn vaste espresso-stop in Arnhem.

Heerlijk gegeten, de lunch-compleet genomen. Was dusdanig compleet dat ik er nóg een nam, zo lekker was het. De Walt-tosti met een lekker thee'tje naar keuze en een geweldig glas verse jus d'orange, wat wil een mens nog meer? Er nóg zo een dus, ik heb genoten!🌟

Walt is voor mijn man en mij onze favoriete plek in Arnhem. Ze hebben de beste koffie, brownies en smoothies van de stad. Het personeel is goed en zeer vriendelijk. De eigenaar is een topvent! De kwaliteit van het thuis bezorgde ontbijt is werkelijk van een andere klasse. Je proeft zoveel kwaliteit en liefde terug in elk ingrediënt. Wij zijn enorm door Walt verwend met het ontbijt de ochtend na onze bruiloft en ook bij de volgende bestelling een paar maanden later waren als verrassing extra lekkernijen toegevoegd. Als Nijmegenaar wil ik soms niets liever dan terugverhuizen, maar dat wordt inmiddels lastig met Walt als speciaal plekje in ons hart.

The least amount of ingredients I've ever had! I read really good reviews and I wanted to try it too but when I got my order I was shocked! Compared to the price it was unbelievably small amount of stuff! The juice and coffee were good!

Ein tolles Café in Arnhem, prima Anlaufpunkt, um die Niederlande abseits aller Klischees kennen zu lernen! Bester Kaffee, frische Säfte, bestes Essen! Lesen, sich unterhalten, Zeit spielt keine Rolle - wir kommen gerne wieder!

Besloten om bij Walt een ontbijtje te nuttigen om wat tijd te overbruggen. Zelfs met de uitstekende beoordelingen ben ik blij verrast met wat ik kreeg, namelijk het beste ontbijt dat ik in tijden buiten de deur heb gegeten. Het compleet ontbijt met gerookte zalm en een dubbele espresso is zeker een aanrader. Bovendien was de bediening eersteklas en voelde ik me meer dan welkom. Kortom, zeker een bezoek waard!

Iets over half 6 kom ik binnen voor een decaf flat white. Al voorbereid op het antwoord 'nee we hebben de machine al schoon' zegt de dame 'ja tuurlijk. Wil je meenemen of buiten zitten' Ik voel me welkom. Even later zit ik samen met anderen op het terras. Komt de lieve dame naar buiten en vraagt of het ok is dat ze de deur even dicht doet zodat ze kan stofzuigen. Ze kijkt nog even naar mij en vraagt opgewekt 'hoe is de koffie' Ook anderen die nog na mij komen worden uitnodigend ontvangen. Zelfs over 6en geeft ze energiek antwoord op de vragen en geeft ze tips mee. Als ik 10sterren had mogen geven had ze deze verdiend. Dit noem ik service. Vele cafe's mogen hier afkijken en zien hoe je harten wint! Dubbel thumbs up for Walt

Gemütliches Café mit leckerem Brunch und Kaffee. Das Brioche mit Lemon curd und das Bananenbrot waren super lecker! Die Speisekarte ist komplett auf niederländisch, aber mit Google Übersetzer ist einem gut geholfen. Die Bedienung kann auch Englisch. Man kann sich hier sehr gut unterhalten und niedlich ist auch, dass es hier bunte Stifte und Sudoku-Blöcke für den Zeitvertreib gibt. Alles in allem ein gelungener Besuch 😊
