Delicious food! Really Indonesian 😁

Mostly good with fair prices. But some of what should be hot food (rendang, chicken curry) wasn't very warm when served.

Location is super strategic and the food is really nice. I would recommend this place to everyone too

We came for dinner on a Thursday night after we booked a table and we were sat upstairs because downstairs were busy. It took a while before they came upstairs to take our order but they did come before we tried to go downstairs to call. We had bakso kikil, mie ayam and tempe mendoan. Although it brougt back flavours I had in Indonesia, the broth/soup of the bakso was lacking depth of flavour, it's nearly there but it needs a tweak. The tempe mendoan is more like tempe tepung (battered rather than half cooked as tempe mendoan should be). We had the cendol that was nice but I felt the portion is a bit too small. The staff were friendly so thats a plus!

Overall good food quality, however there are some remarks that should be addressed: they don't serve tap water and kind of force you to buy the very expensive bottled one (7€ or something similar); the menu is a bit confusing since it's not entirely clear which desserts / teas are included in the 2-people deal; customer service could be easily improved with a smile. On the positive note: rice portions are quite filling and tasty; most meat based dishes are generally good; cendol is an absolute gem here as they've mastered it to perfection delivering a truly authentic delicacy.

Must have been busy with the film festival That's over now, so definitely go again soon. Never say about things you love that it is 'so okay' then you can join the queue outside that's wasting your time

We sat upstairs, which actually nicer than downstairs & we came without reservation. The food took very long before served, approximately 40-45 mins. The taste was ok, not great yet. Hopefully gets better. Baso kikil: the meatball is delicious. The soup was bit bland. Needed some mix before I find it ok. Portion: average. Big eater will need more. Baso tahu: similar Bami ayam: good. Portion good for small eater. Tempe mendoan: delicious Tahu telor: ok Overall, nice Indonesian restaurant when you are i. Rotterdam center area. I am not aware of any other Indonesian restaurants in the neighborhood. Maybe next time try their Ayam penyet.

So far the best Indonesian restaurant I've had the pleasure to dine at. Shared dishes are absolutely delicious and portions are generous. Love the pandan rice!

Today we ordered Baso Tennis, Nasi Kuning, Satay Ayam with Bami Goreng. The taste was perfect, definitely worth repeating!

The Ayam Penyet was delicious and very authentic. Was offered different level of spiciness which was great and ofcourse I had to choose the Indonesian spicy 🥵 Did not regret a single bit. Absolutely loved the dish. Also, the moment you step into the restaurant, it really made you feel like you’re in Indonesia. Will return for other dishes.

Hi, I’m Indonesian, and I have to say that the food here is absolutely delicious and truly authentic Indonesian! I brought my European friends, and they were all so happy enjoying the nasi rames, sate ayam, and everything in between. The ambiance is cozy, and the staff are also friendly! This place definitely deserves 5 stars! ❤️

If you want to taste Indonesian food in Rotterdam, this place can be the option. Even though you need to be patient sometimes since the food preparation takes longer.

The portion is very large, and it is an Asian taste that is well accepted by Chinese people. I ordered spicy beef and chicken, which were not very spicy, and the stew was very chewy. The taste is not very strong. The rice cubes are a bit unpleasant. Everything else is pretty satisfactory. It feels pretty good for Dutch prices and not too expensive.

What a place of dining venue, a small restaurant with a perfect dishes for Indonesian especially.. I bought ayam penyet to take away with extra spicy, what it was in my mind yaa it's outside of my country then what spiciness can match the spiciness of Indonesia. But waw 👍👍👍 5stars for the penyet

I love the food, rather Indonesian authentic. Nice atmosphere as I also loves green color (their concept). The 2nd floor is more spacious. The toilet is also very clean. However the Indonesian lady staff is rather not too friendly.

One of the best Indonesian restaurants in the Netherlands. Very authentic. As an half Indonesian myself, I can say that the food is made with love and tries to recreate the Javanese cuisine as much as possible. And I can happy say that they are succeeding in that.

Gado Gado and Ayam pennet are delicious. The spiciness of the chicken dish can be adjusted and it is quite spicy as it is topped with spicy peppers. Why aren’t there many Indonesian restaurants in Korea?! It's so delicious! 😋

A discovery, right opposite the Doelen. We had dinner here with four colleagues. Delicious flavors, authentic Indonesian. You put together your own plate, vegetarian or not. Tasty rendang, tasty satay, tasty ikan bumbu Bali, good sayur buncis The green rice (nasi hidjau) was a discovery! How wonderful. Very sweet service, nice to have a chat. We liked it so much that we went back the next day to pick up something for the "home front". Ate here again in June 2024. Still excellent quality. Delicious daging belado, good sateh and rendang. Truly a treat! Very nice people.

Good food! And when I went there most people eating are Asians, so looks like authentic asian food. Just be careful their spicy is really spicy!! Not a western level of spiciness. 😆 🌶️

No compromise is made to the taste.... it's exactly what you will find in Indonesia. This restaurant deserves 5++ star and it's a must when you are looking for masakan Indonesia asli (real Indonesian cooking). The lady owner and family are so kind and friendly! Highly recommended!!

I ordered rames emjay. There should be prawn crackers in the dish. I have not received this. I called and received the response that Kroepoek has run out and that it can be reconstituted for the next order. But who's to say I'll order again next time. I have suggested that from now on if something is missing, it should be compensated with something else, such as Emping. But she didn't want to do this. I think this is very poor service and I will not order from here again.

Worthless. Waiting forty-five minutes for your food. Starter is served at the same time as main course and the main course is not what I ordered. Bad service and no atmosphere at all. A warung to quickly forget!

Pricey for the somewhat small portions. Missing a couple ingredients, so more of a Dutch adaption of Indonesian dishes. Would not recommend the soups, can't verify the rice dishes. Service was slow and some items never arrived.

They say they deliver. But they don’t if you use their website. You find out after filling out all information. Date of birth, email, phone etc. Perhaps the food is great.

Came here for a birthday dinner for more than 10 people. The restaurant accomodated us and we sat in the upstairs area. We all ordered different things but I ordered the Rames Emjay which had 2 meats, 2 Chicken Satay, 1 Sambal Goreng Ei (spicy egg), Gado Gado, Acar (sweet sour cucumber) and Korepoek (onion crackers). All of the food was great and for someone who never ate Indonesian food, this was really nice to try everything. For a drink I ordered the Es Cendol which is Cendol Pandan Jelly, Coconut Milk, Jackfruit, Palmsugar and Crushed Ice. This drink was instrumental in bringing down the spice. Overall great food and would come here again.

Would give it 3.5 stars. Little restaurant that also heavily relies on takeaway. Food is pretty tasty, but you can taste that the focus is takeaway, so for some dishes it does not feel like it is prepared freshly for you. It is located very close to central station, so it is a convenient option and I do think most people would enjoy the food here. I was just missing that little bit extra that sets it apart from other similar restaurants.

Heerlijk indonesisch in klein restaurantje. Heel vriendelijk personeel. Rijsttafel was compleet met voor- en nagerechtje of koffie.

Fantastisch, snel en heel goed Indonesisch eten. We hebben genoten van de heerlijke gerechten. De verse drankjes en de goede bediening. We waren hier om even snel iets te eten voor we naar de Doelen gingen. We komen zeker een keer terug voor de rijsttafel. Alles was heerlijk en goed verzorgd. Leuk als je eigenlijk gewoon snel even iets wil eten en dan zo wordt verwend.

Hier kun je heerlijk authentiek Indonesische eten.. voor de tweede keer geweest. Restaurant is erg klein ( weinig zitplaatsen). Een half uur moeten wachten, maar het was het wel waard.

The food was not very authentic. We drove all the way there expecting good Indonesian food but was so disappointed in the preparation of the dishes. We were surprised as. we have had good authentic Indonesian food in Holland.

The menu for two (rijsttafel) is quite nice, nicely varied tasty foods, good portion sizes (we couldn't finish it), friendly service (if sliiightly slow-ish - she was running the place all alone and in the middle of a videocall). A very good introduction to Indonesian food.

I like it so much, 100% authentic Indonesian food .

Es war unser erster Abend in Rotterdam und wir wollten unseren Aufenthalt hier mit einem indonesischen Restaurant beginnen, wir wurden nicht enttäuscht. Die Bedingung war sehr freundlich und trotz vollem Haus immer aufmerksam. Das Essen war sehr gut und schmeckte typisch indonesisches. Wir waren sehr zufrieden, kennen aber in Hamburg ein noch besseres Restaurant, daher nicht die volle Punktzahl.

Misschien niet het meest sfeervolle restaurant maar echt heerlijk gegeten en de twee dames zijn heel super vriendelijk en leggen alles goed uit.

Authentiek Indonesich Vanwege vakantie veel Indonesische restaurants dicht. Dus googlen maar. Op basis van de reviews deze gekozen. Het heet trouwens tegenwoordig Waroeng Emjay. En het was een goede keus. Kleinschalig. Geen gelikt interieur. Wel gemoedelijk en het eten is super. Gekozen voor een sate ajam, gado gado e en Bakso ajam. Vers , lekker op smaak. Niet te pittig, als je dat fijn vind, maar kan altijd toegevoegd worden. Ik kom zeker terug. Parkeren kan wellicht lastig zijn

Buffet voor 60 personen laten bezorgen, Nasi goreng en Bami met toebehoren en extra's. Uitstekend! Gasten vroegen naar de naam van het restaurant. Ik heb met plezier Waroeng Emjay genoemd. Service en bezorging waren prima. Sfeer NTB

Food is good. Tapi pas waktu itu kebetulan dapat pelayan yang tampak jelas kurang ramah ke customers yang komunikasi dengan bahasa Indonesia.
