A very clean restaurant with a wide selection. The prices are also reasonable, and the staff is very friendly. Fortunately, it's often not busy, so there's always a table available. I once went here with my family for our last dinner before my grandfather passed away. The Indonesian food was an unforgettable experience for us, and even though I'm not a fan of Indonesian food myself, the atmosphere made it super cozy!

Afgelopen week hebben wij een buffet/catering bij ons thuis gehad! Het voorgesprek met Dina en Joost was plezierig en de belofte om een lekker uitgebreid buffet te serveren hebben ze meer dan waargemaakt! De gerechten werden in warmhoud bakken geleverd met borden en bestek! Het eten was in één woord h e e r l I j k! Dank voor de lekkernijen en goede service! Tot de volgende😋!

We had a very nice meal here. Really authentic Indonesian. Everything prepared there by charming Dina and her husband. The service was also very customer-oriented. All this in a nice atmosphere. At home we could still enjoy what we had brought with us. Worth repeating!

Had Indonesian food taken away here for the first time today and it was delicious. The satay was wonderfully tender and perfectly seasoned. The rendang, ajam ketjap and nasi were also very tasty and well prepared. Everything was ready right on time, and the service was sweet and welcoming. You really notice that the cooking here is done with love. This will definitely be our regular go to Indo takeaway.

We recently enjoyed a delicious dinner at Indonesian restaurant Boemboe. The extensive menu offered a surprising variety of authentic dishes, so there was something for everyone. The hospitality of the staff was excellent; we felt very welcome and received friendly service all evening. An absolute must for lovers of Indonesian cuisine.

The tastiest Indonesian cuisine in Rotterdam and surrounding areas! The satay in particular is exactly how authentic satay is made in Indonesia. Furthermore, the service is good, the team always friendly.

We had a good meal, but nothing more than that. The beef dishes were well seasoned, but the vegetable dishes were really too weak. Furthermore, the white rice is dry on the top, so it is not fresh. Service nice but inexperienced. Portions too small for the price you pay. Paying Seroendeng separately is of course strange at a rice table. Oh how I long for the old Indonesia of yesteryear

Heerlijk gegeten. Rijsttafel Medan heeft al genoeg verschillende gerechten om een goede en smaakvolle indruk te krijgen van de Indisch/Indonesische keuken. Prettige sfeer en fijne bediening. Personeel heeft wel nog wat taalles nodig om de namen van de gerechten correct uit te spreken.

I had dinner with my family last weekend. We were 5 people for a birthday, we had a cendol and some and emping beforehand, we all had a nasi my boomboe special. The satay was very small and well marinated which was very tasty. The rest of the food was also very tasty. For dessert we had spekkoek ice cream and fried banana with ice cream, both were very well served.

On October 5, I had dinner with a group of friends at restaurant Mijn Boemboe for my birthday. The rice table was delicious, the service is friendly and there is a cozy atmosphere in the restaurant. Definitely recommended for those who love an Indian rice table!

Delicious Indonesian food with a little twist. Good quality. The young staff were clearly inexperienced but more than made up for this with their friendly behavior. All tables were occupied so this actually says enough.

Yesterday, August 31, 2024, we ate here with 4 Indo experts. There are approximately 26 seats inside and you can also sit outside. Had a cendol beforehand, which was tasty and a risolles (delicious). Everything was fresh, even the green strings in the cendol. Then had a Jakarta rice table with a basket of emping (freshly baked)…delicious. Food was really tasty, especially the rendang, the ayam pedis, the daging smoor, the sambal goreng udang peteh. But the satay ayam and satay tahu were especially delicious. We had 3 orang belandas in the group, one of which did not like bean curd, but she did eat the satay tofu!!! enak sekali!!! And that other belanda hahaha he mainly targeted the undang peteh. Highly recommended!!! Then coffee with Dadar Gulung and pisang goreng (very tasty). And of course finish with bacon biscuit, which surprised me. This spekkoek reminded me and tasted of Surabaya...delicious. At the end of the evening the cook came to have a chat... very pleasant. The service was also good, they always came to ask if everything was okay! So great…!

Delicious Indonesian food with a refined Sumatran twist. Actually, everything is equally tasty, so a rice table is recommended! Catering is personally delivered to your home and was super well taken care of and enak!

For 86 euros we had very mediocre portions, the food tasted good. But the portions were very small compared to other restaurants.

This was a very disappointing experience starting with our meat starters not having been heated up properly as cold inside. The kroepoek was served with sate sauce …… My rice was undercooked and the food on the whole was not very tasty. We all had the same experience. The lemper was another below average snack. We did complain about the cold risolles and upon paying they did take it off the bill. I don’t usually write reviews but on this occasion I felt it necessary to give an honest assessment of our poor experience.

Had dinner with a friend last week. We enjoyed the rice table Jakarta. The portions seemed modest, but we are big eaters and really didn't want for anything. The dishes all tasted very tasty and the meat was well cooked and tender. I think there could have been a little more vegetables, but I know that I am a bit different in that regard than many other customers. The hospitality is also completely fine. Cosy, plenty present, but not pushy. In short, a great place to have a nice meal and a quiet chat. We will definitely come here again!

Alleen de timing van het eten en dan bedoel ik alle gerechten van ons gezelschap 7p. Dat is, ik noem het authentieke Indonesisch. Alles komt alleen kan er wel 5 min tussen zitten. Dit doet niks af aan het eten of de sfeer. Dat is allemaal goed op orde. Vond het ook charme hebben. Kom hier graag nog een keer terug ..

Really great and typical indonesien food. Spicy and delicious ! We had Reistafel Medan and it was enough, and a lot of different small dishes. Perfect if you want to try some different tastes. Gado gado was also very good. The best and most typical indinosien food we had outside Indonesia!

Echt Indonesisch eten. Aardige bediening. Lieve gastvrouw, die heerlijk Indonesische eten kan klaarmaken. Gekozen voor Nasi Goreng met satéstokjes voor beiden en een heerlijk Mijn Boemboe dessert. Flensje met een ijsbolletje(Dadar Gulung). Heerlijk. Prijs/kwaliteit goed. Gratis parkeren op straat. Toch(in het donker)liever met de tram. Lijn 125 vlakbij. Komen zeker gauw terug.

Als je zelf vaak Indisch kookt en af en toe de behoefte hebt om buiten de deur te gaan eten, is het vinden van een goed Indonesisch restaurant in de omgeving van Rotterdam (vanwege je kieskeurigheid) niet makkelijk. Toch is het ons gelukt. Mijn boemboe is een kleine gelegenheid in Schiebroek die gerund wordt door een dame die oorspronkelijk uit Sumatra komt en met passie de gerechten klaarmaakt. De menukaart is groot met de gebruikelijke (meer standaard) gerechten, maar ook met de bij Nederlanders wat minder bekende gerechten. Vanwege de kleine schaal van het restaurant (Dina kookt in haar eentje) is het verstandig om, als je verzekerd wil zijn van een bepaald gerecht dat je beslist wil eten, even te bespreken en door te geven. Wij hebben er verschillende malen gegeten en twee keer de catering laten bezorgen (15pers. en 35pers.). Een echte aanrader! Selamat makan.

Food is good, service is good, toilet is clean. Lower rating because of price and portion sizes. For what we paid, you’d expect way bigger portions or higher standard in flavors. Portions of the ‘rijsttafel Padang’ we got were minimal. We were given a spoonful per dish such as rendang, smoor, babi kecap per person. The vegetables were overcooked. Overall: not bad, but certainly room for improvement.

Buiten is het koud, maar binnen waan je jezelf in Indonesië. Heerlijke gerechten, fijne sfeer. Wij gaan snel weer.

Het eten is echt heerlijk. Het is net alsof je in Indonesië bent. Als je het mij vraagt één van de beste en meest authentiek Indonesische restauranten van Rotterdam. Zeker de moeite waard om een keertje langs te gaan 😁
