Warung Iengie in Schollevaar Zuid

Worthless service and substandard portions! Ordered food via Thuisbezorgd last night and had to wait well over an hour and a half. Upon arrival, the telo with salt cod (€8.50) turned out to be a huge joke: there was barely any salt cod with the cassava, packed in a tiny side container. The proportions were completely off. When we called about this very calmly and politely, we received an incredibly rude response from the lady on the phone. No apologies for the late meal, and when we asked for a solution, she literally said: "Absolutely nothing, I'm cleaning right now." If you read the reviews here, this is unfortunately a regular occurrence at this place! This is the last time too!

I ordered 2 large portions of Truki Pan chicken for €45, which I honestly find quite on the high side. Still, I thought: let's give it a try. Unfortunately, the food was very disappointing. It just wasn't Truki Pan as I know it. It was basically just fries with chicken. The chicken wasn't prepared in the way that belongs to Truki Pan, and the fries were, in my opinion, just normal fries, as if they had been fried at home. The coleslaw, on the other hand, was very tasty. However, I found it a bit watery and the portion was quite small. The corn was fine. What I definitely want to mention is the service. The lady was super customer-friendly, nice, and a real star. The food was also ready reasonably quickly. Personally, I wouldn't come back for this dish again. To be honest, I also get the impression that Truki Pan isn't really your specialty. I would rather stick to the Surinamese food, because that is definitely highly recommended. All in all: good service, but unfortunately the dish itself was very disappointing for the price.

Ordered and had to wait quite a while, but they definitely know how to make food; it was really delicious, well done! And they gave us extra drinks for the wait, which wasn't necessary but was nice of them, so thanks and keep up the good work!

Fantastic food, the only place that sells bakabana, but only when the bananas are ripe and good. So they don't sell junk. All their food is delicious (authentic Surinamese, not Westernized) and they are very friendly and generous!

After waiting for more than 2 hours for our food, during which the restaurant refused to answer their phone (2 different numbers, even), it finally arrived WITHOUT the drinks they were supposed to include for free with the dish. This was simply crossed out on the bill, with no further explanation. The food tasted very old, the noodles were inedible, and the pork had thick hairs in it (which is obviously not supposed to happen). See the photos for our experience. We didn't even finish it. Very disappointed, and I would advise everyone against eating or ordering here.

Ordered food here online for the first time. Rice with chicken and pom. The food arrived late, looked perfectly packaged, and was still nice and warm. The brown beans were well-seasoned and tasty, but the chicken was slightly salty, which unfortunately masked the flavor. The pom had nothing to do with pom; it was a salty mush of poor-quality cassava, causing the balance between sweet and salty to tip completely towards the salty side, coupled with an excessive onion flavor. As a result, the fragrant aroma that a good pom always has was nowhere to be found, which I find very disappointing because the presentation of your food is very good. It is possible that your cook just lacked that "toughness" during the preparation of these dishes, but please be careful that this doesn't happen too often...

Had a delicious dinner at Warung Iengie in the De Scholver Shopping Center (up the stone stairs at the back of the former De Scholver Shopping Center) in Capelle Schollevaar. A spacious eatery with fast, friendly service serving fresh Surinamese dishes. There is also a delivery service in the Capelle Schollevaar area and various districts of Capelle. It is well worth stopping by for a delicious hot meal at reasonable prices. Opening hours from 16:00 to 20:00. Ordering in advance is highly recommended due to busy times between 17:00 and 19:00.

Waited 2 hours for nasi moksie metie and soato soup, and that for 41 euros, including extra costs for the entire packaging of my food (literally everything, they charged me for) plastic, including the bag, even though it isn't plastic. 2 nasi containers and 1 measly little container with 2 pieces of meat and some meats that aren't moksie metie style. The quantity and quality are not worth your money at Warung Lengie. First time and NEVER AGAIN!! Little for a lot of money. They need to inspect this place.

Get food here for the first time. I can't think of anything other than AMAZING. I bought Roti chicken drumstick, Bami moksi meti, Pom sandwich, and Telo bakkeljauw. And it tasted fantastic, I can't say otherwise. Everything tasted fresh, well-seasoned, and the chicken was deliciously tender. Telo freshly fried. A nice large portion with tasty bakkeljauw. So I don't need to go to Rotterdam for this anymore. From now on, just a quick trip to Capelle.

Ordered Surinamese bami with chicken curry Imagine my surprise when I got home and unpacked it; it was definitely not chicken curry, but something that looked like chicken ketjap. That wouldn't have been too bad, if it weren't for the fact that the chicken was truly inedible; it was TOUGH! I have a feeling it was the last bit of the day! Such a waste!

You can taste that they work with care and quality; everything is fresh and perfectly seasoned. What I appreciate most is the consistent quality. It doesn't matter when you come, it is always good. This is without a doubt my favorite Surinamese restaurant!

Waited 3 hours for an order that turned out to be incomplete. The restaurant is unreachable by phone after being on hold for half an hour. Eventually, we drove to the restaurant ourselves, where we received bizarrely bad service. The lady behind the counter is extremely arrogant, offered no apologies for the poor service, and ignored our questions. Please do not order here; it is absolutely not worth your money! 1 star is still WAY TOO MUCH!

I placed my order around 18:20, and Thuisbezorgd indicated that delivery would be around 18:45. I called the restaurant around 19:30; they stated that the order was already on its way and would arrive within fifteen minutes. It is now 20:30, and I still have not received my order. Because I had to wait so long, I eventually had to order food elsewhere. This was very disappointing.

The restaurant is always extremely late with deliveries. After waiting an hour and a half, they finally contact me to inform me that a specific dish is no longer available and that they can't guarantee delivery within another 30 minutes. They then offer to simply cancel the order. The food may be good, but the service and delivery are truly subpar. This has happened several times now, so it certainly isn't due to the weather. And for me, that's reason enough not to order from them again.

Today, during our move, we placed an order at 8:07 PM. We saw it would take over 40 minutes, but that wasn't a problem. We received a confirmation email. We saw the delivery time getting shorter and shorter, and at one point, we were told "order is on its way." Well, that was perfect, because we were quite hungry! However, after almost 2 hours (9:57 PM), it was still on its way, so we called the store, but it turned out they were closed. After contacting Thuiszorgd, we discovered they were canceling the order. This was our first time ordering from them, but we weren't planning on doing so again. The food gets one star, but that's because I couldn't give it a zero, as I can't rate it.

Bami chicken satay. It tasted strange because of the spices I'm not used to, but I really enjoyed it. I'll definitely be making it again.

The food was delicious. However, for the price, there was far too little meat. I had noodles with moksie metie and rice with curry chicken, but the rice was also undercooked. If you order something, be aware that it's for one person and will be gone in 1 kr.

It's gone from being a restaurant with delicious takeout to a disgrace to Surinamese cuisine! You'll never see me there again! The satay is rock-hard and the noodles are awful.

Today I had a delicious meal at Warung Lengie with my husband and daughter. The saoto soup is highly recommended! Very friendly people! We will definitely come back again.

De kwaliteit en authenticiteit van deze Surinaamse toko overtroffen mijn verwachtingen! De producten zijn vers, de smaken zijn precies zoals het hoort, en de sfeer voelt echt als een stukje Suriname. Vriendelijke service en een ruim assortiment aan kruiden, snacks en specialiteiten. Ik kom hier zeker vaker!

After an unpleasant previous experience, I tried again months later. So that was a wrong thought. Had to wait more than 2 hours for order just like last time. Called twice in between but no apologies. The soato had no taste at all, pieces of meat moksi more like bone than anything else. It really wasn't about anything, that's not how you do business. We will never order from here again.

Best, Placed an order today at 7:18 PM, called the restaurant at 8:38 PM because it wasn't there yet. (1 hour was indicated via TB) Response: Siruna noodles are gone, it went quickly, would you like noodles or nasi? So no one has figured out when the order was placed, gosh I'll let the customer call with options. Since the order was not made, we canceled the order by telephone and had to order elsewhere, which also cost more money and which will take a while before it arrives. It is now 8:50 PM and we have no food yet.

Besteld via hun eigen webside/bezorgd: 2x Roti kipfilet. Werd pas na 1,5 uur bezorgd. Maar dan 1x Roti kipfilet. Bellen waar de 2e bleef en zou a.s.a.p. geleverd worden. Ook hier weer ruim 1 uur op moeten wachten. Kipfilet was de saus uit het bakje gedropen en smaakte daarom evenals de groente droog en er zat maar 1 ei in i.p.v. 2 eieren. Door hun fout in de bestelling om maar 1x roti te leveren en nog een lange tijd wachten op de 2e portie, zijn zij niet te gemoed gekomen dan alleen maar een excuus. Had enigszins wel verwacht dat er 2 drankjes gratis erbij geleverd zou worden. Maar helaas..... Voor ons GEEN Warung Iengie meer uit Capelle a/d IJssel. Er zijn betere Warungs

Ordered 2 roti and 1 satay Received within 45 minutes by a friendly man. Everything very neatly packaged The satay was incredibly tasty as was the sauce. The roti was really delicious and everything well portioned, chicken in a separate container. A fresh plate and delicious sweet cucumber. The sambal was not missing, but we did not try it. You really notice that everything here is made fresh and with passion. If I could afford it I would definitely order twice a week. Can only say top top top and even more top. Thanks

Disgusting sandwiches and very disappointed….

Normally I drove from Zoetermeer to The Hague for Warung Mini, but since I ate at Warung Iengi I prefer to be 10 minutes away. Longer journey for this delicious food! Everything freshly made, no reheating practices, in short, everything you want from a Surinamese restaurant. See you soon...I can't wait for that griti Bana soup😋

Bezorging duurt gewoon te lang. Bijna 2 uur wachten. Terwijl ze zeggen dat het binnen een uur bezorgd wordt

Heerlijk gegeten. Vriendelijke medewerkers. Mijn nichtje was zo blij dat ze kon mee eten. Een keertje Surinaams buiten de deur zonder dat ze bang hoeft te zijn voor een allergische reactie. Want ze kon aangevraagd een portie krijgen naar wens.

Ik waande me in Blauwgrond Suriname. Het eten was heerlijk en vers. Vooral de baka bana met pindasaus was heerlijk. Ik had zelf massoes moksie alesi erbij die ook goed op smaak was. Echt een geweldige tent!

Heerlijke verse gerechten, voor ieder wat wils! Bestel er regelmatig we hebben er dan weer zo'n trek in. Ook wel eens in de zaak zelf gegeten. Hele fijne nette mensen goede service en ook nog gezellig!

Zojuist bij Warung IENGIE een Gado Gado met Saté gegeten. Het zag er heerlijk uit en het was ook heerlijk! Ik eet daar regelmatig en heb eigenlijk nog nooit iets gegeten dat niet lekker was of waar aanmerkingen op gemaakt kunnen worden. De kokkin is altijd heel vriendelijk en wat over is gaat in een doggybag mee naar huis...... Nog even 's avonds nagenieten.....
